Untamed Wolf

Now she had just made things a million times harder for herself.

Panic coursed through her veins as she realized just how confused she really was. She raced from the room and climbed into the shower, needing the hot water to calm her thoughts down. She needed a moment to herself, a second to work out why she was acting so crazy all the damn time recently.

Was this simply a crazy reaction to what Greg had done to her, or was it something more? Was it because she didn’t know anything about her sexuality and she was finally discovering that – just a lot later than most people did?

The more pertinent question now was what would happen between her and the guys? Would they both blow her off after that moment of insanity or were they simply using it as a test to see which one she preferred? Was she going to have to go through the agonizing decision of picking one this morning? If so, what the hell was she going to do? She didn’t want to lose the chemistry that she had with Travis, and the wonderful way that he made her feel, but she couldn’t lose the amazing connection that she had with Rex either.

Urgh, if only she could find a way to have them both. If only they lived in some universe where that was possible. That would make her life absolutely perfect, but of course that was impossible. It wasn’t even a concept that was worth thinking about.

  Ring, ring.

At first she decided to ignore her phone, but as it continued to ring, she became afraid that it would wake up the guys before she was ready to talk to them, so she hopped out the shower and grabbed onto her handset, desperately needing silence it.

“Hello?” she gasped, feeling impatient and cold, shivering from the wetness of the shower.

“Oh my God Abbie!” Lauren squealed. “What were you up to last night?”

Her heart raced as she tried to work out how her friend already knew. If Lauren had found out, did that mean that the rest of the world knew too?

  Oh fuck!

What the hell was she going to do about that? That made things even more complicated than they already were.

“What… what do you mean?” she stammered, terror lacing her tone.

“Oh God,” he friend gasped. “Did you spend the night with him? Is he still there?” her silence was enough to confirm it for Lauren. “I cannot believe that you’ve hooked up with Rex Ryder again. If I hadn’t seen the picture on the Internet I might not have believed it myself.”

“Picture, what picture?” Abbie’s mind was spinning wildly and her heart was pounding. “What are you talking about?”

“Rex kissing you in a club – all the gossip magazines are on it. Log on now and have a look.”

Abbie didn’t even say goodbye to her friend, she simply clicked off the phone and logged on to the net immediately, needing to see it for herself.

There it was, a photograph of her dancing in the club and Rex kissing her neck.

Her blood ran cold and she felt frozen to the spot. This was impossible, absolutely insane. The headline was even worse.

‘Rex Ryder on secret date with mystery dancer.’

It implied that they were already together, taking the decision from her. She had no idea how she was going to deal with this – it was the sort of thing that would only snowball. The photographer obviously hadn’t noticed it at the time, but Abbie knew in that moment Travis’s hand was on her leg. It would only take a little sleuthing to discover that she’d gone home with both those men, then what would the media think about her?

  Slut. Whore. Gold digger.

All kinds of awful terms spun through her mind as she realized that her life was about to change forever.

“Abbie?” called Rex from the other room. “Abbie are you there?”

Tears filled her eyes as she tried to come to terms with the craziness that was about to be unleashed in her life.

  Book 4: The One

“Oh my God,” Abbie muttered to herself, staring at her stressed expression in the mirror. Her long dark hair was entangled from a night of passion, but her sad green eyes didn’t reflect the fun she’d just been through – they were more focused on the nightmare that was just now starting. She had no idea what to do now, everything about her life had just come crashing down around her. She could not think about anything else.

Just a few short months ago, she’d been in a committed relationship with the man that she thought she was going to marry. They were happy, comfortable – or so she’d thought. Then she found him cheating on her with some random girl that he didn’t even know, and everything fell to pieces. She had to move back with her parents, and start her life all over again. Luckily as a dancer, she could work from anywhere, and she was often away on tour, so at least her job wasn’t affected, but absolutely everything else was, and that was a real challenge to come to terms with.

It was actually her dancing that had led her to find Travis Bunney – the man who helped her progress somewhat towards moving on. He was a music producer who wanted to work with her… but their relationship wasn’t purely a professional one.

He had led her into a steamy sexual encounter that had opened her eyes, and given her a sexual awakening that she’d never expected. He’d been the best man she’d ever been with, and she couldn’t help falling for the notorious playboy billionaire. But he quickly made it clear that he wasn’t in it for the long haul and that she was only a fling. In fact, his parting words to her were that he had a rule that he would only ever have sex with a woman once.

Travis did arrange a great opportunity for her – an amazing dancing job for a music video shoot in Hawaii. There, the sexy rock star Rex Ryder offered her the world, and she fell into bed with him too. She hadn't meant to – she’d only intended for them to remain friends, and resisted him at first. But with Travis seeming not to want her anymore, she found Rex hard to resist, especially after all that she’d just been through. He gave her a confidence boost that she really desperately needed.

That had led to another dilemma – one that she hadn't been prepared for at all. Rex said he wanted her in his life. But his life was a whirlwind of media attention and travel, so he gave her a week to think about it. On the flight back from Hawaii, she thought she’d made her mind up, but then at the airport Travis was there. He said he missed her, and that he would break all of his crazy rules for her. She had no idea which one to choose.

Somehow, all of that had led – and she still couldn’t quite explain it, even to herself – to a night of passion between all three of them, and her being more confused about what to do than ever.

The problem was that she really liked them both – Travis was strong, powerful, and really sexy. Rex was kind, sweet, and a great friend to her. They both had amazing qualities that she wanted in her life, and she didn’t know which one she needed more. She didn’t want to make a decision that she would later go on to regret.

Then again, both of them might dismiss her after what had just happened. On top of the threesome, with its morning-after ultra-awkwardness, the media had already snapped a picture of Rex kissing Abbie – and with his fame status, that would be big news soon enough. That was going to add in something else to complicate things even further.

“Abbie,” one of the men called to her again. “Where are you?”

And that was a complication that she was going to have to face right away.

  ***

She wandered back into the bedroom feeling the weight of the world on her shoulders. This was going to be the worst conversation of her entire life, and she really wasn’t ready for it. This was going to be more difficult than the moment she walked in on her ex-boyfriend Greg screwing that girl – and back then she thought that that had been the end of the world.

“Are you okay?” Travis asked, concern plastered across his face. “What’s wrong? What’s happened?”

He shook Rex who stirred too, finally opening his eyes, and Abbie sat on the end of the bed, pulling Rex’s robe tighter around her. They were in his home, a mansion. It was filled with all kinds of cloth
ing, so she was sure he wouldn’t mind her borrowing this one thing.

“My friend just called me,” she confessed in a whisper. “Someone took a picture of Rex kissing me, and it’s already on the Internet.” Her body was shaking, terrified for what would happen next, but the guys didn’t seem to share her fears.

“Oh God,” said Rex, rolling his eyes, looking weirdly unbothered. “This again. I can’t seem to do anything!” He was actually joking about it!

“You don’t… mind?” She asked, staring into his eyes. “What about your mom?”

Rex’s mother was a very religious woman, who didn’t like reading about any of his romantic liaisons, so she didn’t feel like this would be good for them. Especially if she went on to learn that her son had been involved in a threesome. Rex had confided in her before that he really struggled with people knowing everything about him, and she hated that she’d just added to that. However, his reaction wasn’t what she expected at all.

“It really doesn’t matter,” he grinned up at her. “I feel like I can defend my actions better when I’ve actually done what I’m being accused of. It’s the lies I really hate – especially when no one believes me.”

“But… this is… it’s…” Abbie didn’t know what to say, this was almost overwhelming her. “I don’t know what to say.” She’d been waiting for shouting and yelling and a whole load of stress… yet somehow she hadn't gotten any of that. It made her feel like maybe she was the one overreacting!

“Look,” said Travis in a calm and considered tone of voice. “What’s happened has happened, it doesn’t matter now. There’s nothing we can do. A photo that’s only minimally incriminating isn’t anything to worry about. At least people don’t know the truth – now that would be a scandal!” He actually laughed, which had Abbie’s mind reeling. What the hell was going on here?

“But what will people say?” she asked, still fearing the worst. This seemed to be going too well for words, which meant there had to be some sort of negative coming her way. That was just the way that things worked after all.

“It doesn’t matter,” he confirmed grinning at her. “Life is here to enjoy, so why not come over here and kiss me again?”

“Huh?” she said in shock, expecting that least of all, but both of the men simply smiled, clearly wanting this to happen all over again.

Abbie glanced between both men a few times in shock, seeing that familiar spark there, and she couldn’t stop a red-hot sexual desire from growing inside of her too…

  ***

Despite knowing that she really wanted to go through with what the guys were offering her, Abbie found herself frozen to the spot, unable to make the first move. Her mind was so conflicted and scared, so she was glad when Travis stood up to grab hold of her hand, taking the lead once more.

He led her over to one of the luscious couches that Rex had dotted around the room and he sat down, pulling Abbie onto his knee until she was straddling him. She was naked apart from the robe, and so was he still from the previous night, so she could already see and feel his hardness. She had to gulp down the buzzing excitement that was building up progressively, trying to control herself, and she did a pretty good job of it until he pulled her in for a rough and passionate kiss. As soon as her lips were pressed up against his, she lost everything about herself all over again.

As her hands tangled up in his hair, and he yanked the robe from her body, she became acutely aware that Rex was watching them both, which sent prickles of excitement racing up and down her spine.

Travis’s fingers started to travel up and down Abbie’s body, working their way over her breasts and to her core. Just as she thought that she was about to experience the warmth of those sensuous fingers inside her all over again, he grabbed hold of his length and pushed inside of her, completely stunning her in the best way possible.

“Oh shit,” she cried out in ecstasy. The sensation grew more as she felt the presence of Rex up behind her. She ran kisses over her neck, whilst fondling her breasts, which caused Travis to thrust more powerfully underneath her, almost as if he needed her attention back on him. This weird, manly competition between them made Abbie even hornier.

After only a few moments, she pulled Rex around to face her, wanting to taste his cock once more. She loved feeling him between her lips last time, and she couldn’t wait to revisit that moment all over again, so she gobbled it hungrily. It felt right, especially after the guys had been so good about what had happened.

Seeing Rex in Abbie’s mouth so close to his face drove Travis wild, and he started to tremble very quickly, feeling himself teeter dangerously towards orgasm. Rex needed a release too – Abbie could feel his intense need for it, so she dragged her fingers up and down his length too, wanting to make this as amazing for both men as it was for her. In the throes of passion, it was easy to feel like she was enough for both of these men, but in her moments of doubt, she was certain that she could never be enough even for one of them.

Not wanting to be ignored, Travis thumbed her clit, sending her so crazy that she wasn’t sure she could contain it any longer. At the moment that the orgasm started to brew in her toes, Rex exploded his salty passion, filling her throat, and somehow filling her whole body with shuddering pleasure too. She thrashed and buckled underneath the weight of it all, not even noticing that Travis was losing himself to her at the same time…

  ***

As the day started to become evening, Abbie forced herself to go home. Travis was leaving too, so the fantasy was well and truly over anyway – it was time to face real life. It was time to leave the fun behind, and to consider the potential consequences of what she’d done.

As they’d all said goodbye to one another, there had been a lot of bizarre unsaid things between them, but the moment had been too much and none of them had vocalized anything.

Rex hired a car to take Abbie across the city, but even on that short journey, she could feel her mood turn from happier than she’d ever been, to absolutely terrified. All of the issues and confusion that she had pushed to one side in order to experience the threesome with Travis and Rex came bubbling back to the surface, more powerfully than ever. Those issues hadn't gone away just because she had decided to ignore them temporarily, and she really needed to consider that now.

She had been caught kissing Rex, then she’d gone home with him – Travis too. There was no way all of that could remain a secret. Not with Rex’s fame status and Travis’s reputation. She was potentially about to go from a nobody in the background, to a notorious woman. That was too much for someone like her. She should have been smarter, thinking with her head not her lustful body, to avoid this mess that was even worse than before.

As she walked through the front door of her parent’s home, her mother tried to call her into the kitchen for a chat but she feigned tiredness in order to get out from it. All she wanted right now was to be alone with her thoughts. There was no way that she could make polite conversation with a woman who could only be disappointed at the mess Abbie had gotten herself into. She certainly didn’t think that her mom or dad would be particularly pleased to see that photograph online.

“Oh God,” she muttered to herself once she was locked in her room. “What the fuck am I going to do?”

Not only had she not solved any of her problems, she had made them all worse. Now she needed to sort them all out before she made any more crazy errors in judgment.

  ***

Over the next few days, Abbie’s phone went off like crazy. If it wasn’t texts from Travis or Rex trying to find out what was going on with her, it was the media calling to try and find out how long she had been dating the rock star whose music video she had danced in. They had well and truly jumped on the story, which she hated. She wanted to remain private and secretive, she didn’t like anyone knowing about her at all, and this all felt horrible.

It was a nightmare, one that was bringing on endless anxiety, and she didn’t know how much longer she could survive it
all. Sure, she was safe enough locked in her room, but she sure as hell couldn’t stay there forever. She knew that she was becoming overwhelmed and getting swallowed whole by this mess, but she didn’t know how to extract herself. She felt she was sinking deeper and deeper.

Her mom had tried to talk to her, to pull her out from her funk, but she refused. Luckily her dad was mostly leaving her alone, which was exactly what she thought she needed, but her mom wasn’t getting the message. The only person she had spoken to was her best friend Lauren, and that was only the occasional message here and there. She had officially isolated herself, because it was the only place that she felt safe, and she wasn’t sure if she ever wanted to leave again.

  ***

In the end, Rex could take it no more. He knew that Abbie’s freak out into solitude was a combination of the silly media interest – which wasn’t as huge as it could have been considering, probably because they couldn’t dig much up on her – and that crazy night of passion that they experienced with Travis. He wouldn’t allow himself to get wound up by something so silly – he knew that he needed to help her, and he didn’t intend to take no for an answer.

He went to her parents’ home, needing to speak to her, but it wasn’t Abbie who answered the door, it was her mom. From the odd look that she shot him, he could tell that she thought he was her boyfriend, which was good fortune – it made it easier for him to get inside. He barely had to explain who he was at all.

In her bedroom, overhearing the slightly awkward small talk between Rex and her mom, Abbie could take it no longer. She needed to rescue Rex from her mom’s clutches before things got too weird, which meant that she would have to leave the prison that she’d put herself in. They hadn't discussed any of it at all, but she knew her mom had been looking for information on her ‘relationship’ online. She’d tried to ask questions, but Abbie was giving her nothing.
