“You ready to get out of here?”
I nod.
His hot breath skates across the skin on my neck as he whispers, “Are you ready for what I have planned when we get back to the room Mrs Adams?”
I love the sound of that.
I nod and swallow in anticipation.
My husband wants to play.
Hell! So do I.
He gives me one last smile before linking his fingers with mine and announcing to our friends that we are leaving. They cat-call and cheer, wishing us well.
Grayson pulls me from the room with purpose, moving us across the hallway to start our married life together.
I don’t recognise the room when Grayson opens the door and stands aside to allow me entry.
The light from hundreds of LED candles illuminates the room, casting a warm glow over the entire space. There are rose petals, pink, red, and white – welcoming me from the door of the suite and trailing to the bedroom.
“It’s beautiful,” I breathe.
“It is,” Gray says as I turn to him. But he is looking at me. Not the room.
I lean up on my toes and plant a kiss to his lips. In one move he has me in his arms, carrying me through the doorway in a determined stride to the bedroom.
He lowers me to the bed and stands back for a moment, just looking down at me.
Then…he smiles. One of those smiles that is reserved only for me.
“Do you have any idea how happy you’ve made me today?”
I smile and nod.
“I’m so fucking happy Liv. I can’t believe that you’re mine, truly mine.”
“And you’re mine.”
“Always,” he says as he starts to unbutton his shirt. I watch in rapture as each patch of golden skin is revealed behind the fabric. I lick my lips and a spark of pure lust lights Gray’s eyes. I can see the outline of his hard length behind his dress pants and it makes me squirm.
When Gray throws down his shirt he climbs over me, keeping his weight off me, but bending those sinful lips to mine. When he kisses me, I feel it everywhere. It’s deep and hard and full of promise.
He runs his fingers lightly over the bodice of my dress, dipping it slightly when he gets to the hollow between my breasts. “Roll over,” he says.
He starts to lower the zipper at the back of my dress, all the while raining soft kisses and nips along the length of my spine. By the time he has reached my lacy panties, I am panting with need.
I lift off the bed so he can pull my dress down and he tosses it to the floor. I roll to my back again and his face shows so much appreciation at the sight of me that I launch myself at him. I pull his head to mine, and kiss him.
Hard.
My hands find the button and zipper of his pants and I make quick work of removing them. Grayson kicks them off and straddles me, pinning me to the bed. That’s when I notice that he still has the silver-ribbon belt from my dress in his hand.
“We’re going to have some fun with this.” He says.
I swallow down and lick my lips as he grabs my wrists and binds them together with the ribbon, before securing them through the wooden slats on the bedhead. He doesn’t tie it too tightly, but there is no way I’m escaping.
It turns me on, igniting my blood, and I feel myself raising my hips to his in a silent plea for him to do whatever it is he wants to me.
He trails his fingers lightly down my arms until he reaches the sides of my breasts and lowers his head to pay them attention. My eyes drop closed due to the heavenly sensations he is drawing from me. I need relief in the worst way. He is still astride me, and I can’t rub my thighs together to dull the ache.
“Gray…” I breathe as he lifts his gaze to mine from his position on my chest.
His lips glisten from where he has been licking at me and his sexy mane of hair is standing on end, ready for me to run my fingers through it. If only I could use my hands…
“Is my wife aching for me?”
I open my eyes and nod, giving him a wicked smile. “Yes. God yes.”
He lowers his head again and continues his journey down to right where I need him.
He throws one of my legs over his shoulder, opening me to his wicked mouth. Then he goes for it. I pull on the ties that bind my hands, desperate to touch him.
It takes all of a minute for him to push me right over the edge, and I explode. Little bursts of light fire off behind my eyelids and I feel my smile widen as the climax goes on and on.
I feel Gray climb over me, his weight welcome on top of me as he lowers his mouth to mine. I can taste myself on his lips and I can feel his desire as he writhes against my thigh.
He runs his hands back up along my sides until he reaches the ribbon and unties me. He drops kisses to each wrist and rubs them gently to bring them back to life.
“I need you Mr Adams,” I say, rubbing myself against his length, still seeking relief even after that explosive release.
“My pleasure, Mrs Adams,” he says with a wicked grin as he pushes forward and takes me. I wrap my hands around Gray’s neck, finally able to run my fingers through his hair, over his skin and across his muscular frame.
He looks into my eyes. Not once looking away. We maintain that connection the entire time as Gray sets a punishing rhythm, pushing in, pulling back, hard, fast, exquisite.
As I wrap my legs around his body, anchoring him to me, I realise that for the rest of my life, I have him. For the rest of my life, we can do this.
The rest of my life belongs to him.
And with that realisation, I smile.
Race day
Liv and I have officially been a Mr and Mrs for two weeks. Every time I think of the fact that she is mine, I get a goofy smile on my face. I can’t help it. I am just so freakin’ happy.
The press have had a field day since we’ve been back home. All it took was one dinner out and the paparazzi spotted the rings on Liv’s fingers. I’ve been wearing my platinum band proudly too, so that hasn’t gone unnoticed. The fact that we got married and not one media outlet stalked us on our special day, is a miracle to me.
The media loves the fact that we are married.
Hollywood’s Golden Girl and Rock’s new it-guy together equals big money for them. They photograph us at the market, at the car-wash, heading to the gym… any mundane, routine task that we undertake seems to be fresh fodder for them. When they got a shot of Liv and me out with Ava and Ethan, they hit the jackpot. Those photos have graced the covers of all the glossies over the past week.
Ruby has actually been a god-send for us. I never thought I would say that, but she has. She worked closely with Liv’s Publicist after we were married and together they have managed the story requests and media onslaught with professionalism and credibility.
I have always said that despite everything, she is really good at what she does, and she has not let us down.
Liv is busy planning what she calls our wedding celebration. She is determined to have all our friends and family here for it, so we’ve scheduled it in a month’s time, after the Grand Prix and after my tour is finished. All our parents and siblings are flying in.
We figure we can both take a short honeymoon at that time too as Liv has a break in filming for two weeks. The timing could not have been more perfect. The honeymoon is my responsibility, so I need to make time to look at destinations.
Liv’s only criteria – it has to be hot and private. She means hot as in the weather, but in my mind, hot has a totally different meaning.
Today, we’ve all arrived in Long Beach for the Pro/Celebrity Grand Prix. It’s the official practice session and today we get to try out the track for the first time. I’m pumped. Ethan and I can’t wait.
The race involves ten laps of the track. Celebrities are pitted against pro-drivers, but we get a thirty second head start. Funds raised go to the children’s hospitals in Long Beach and Orange County, so it’s for a wonderful cause. We’ve already been given some classroom training and instruction. They’
re really big on making sure we will all be safe, but getting on that track today is going to be such a thrill. I. Can’t. Wait.
Liv has pulled out.
There was no way I was letting her anywhere near the track in her condition.
We haven’t told many people about the baby, so no-one knows the real reason why she isn’t racing. She had a hard time convincing Ryan that she didn’t want to do it, but she got around it by promising to still be here for the press events and parties. As a couple, we’re the hot ticket, so Ryan was appeased by the fact that the movie would still get press.
To say that he was unhappy about our marriage was an understatement. I think he finally realises what he lost when he let Liv go, but it’s too late. She’s mine now.
I stretch my arms out in front of me, getting accustomed to the red, white and black, all-in-one suit they have me wearing for the race.
“I can’t wait to do this,” Ethan says beside me as he lifts his helmet from the table.
“Me too.”
“I’m gonna’ kick your ass,” he challenges.
“Not likely E.”
He laughs. “Seriously Gray. As competitive as we both are, we need to have each other’s backs out there.”
“That’s a given.”
No celebrities have ever been seriously hurt during this race, but they have crashed, and some minor injuries have ensued.
“Ava would have my head if anything happened to me. She’s still trying to convince me to pull out.”
“I don’t think Liv would be a fan if I got hurt either, so let’s just keep a level head and drive like they’ve shown us to. It can’t be that hard.”
“It’s not going to be hard, it’s going to be fuckin’ epic!”
“Hey guys.” That’s Madeline, Ethan’s sister. She’s racing too. “You both ready for this?”
Madeline is a show-stopper. The movie will get a lot of attention with her looking the way she does in her racing gear.
“I’m ready Madeline, the question is, are you?”
She gives Ethan a smug smile. “You think I have no chance of beating you guys don’t you?”
Ethan laughs. “I would never doubt you dear sister, but I do plan on kicking your ass out there.”
“We’ll see,” she says with a grin as she sashays past both of us towards the track.
I clap Ethan on the shoulder and lift my helmet.
As we make our way out of the garage into the warm sunshine of the track, I feel the excitement bubble in my stomach. I can’t wait for this.
I’m on my final lap of the practice session when Ethan cuts in front of me.
That bastard!
I can feel his smug grin from the other car as he races ahead of me. Adrenaline is coursing through my veins and I am so pumped from the thrill of driving this car that I can’t wait to do this for real.
We all pull in through the garage doors and bring our cars to a stop.
Ethan emerges from his car and removes his helmet, ruffling his already-messy hair with his hands.
“That was awesome,” he says. “How’d you like that last corner I took?” He gives me a stupid-ass grin and pulls his gloves from his hands.
“I was just letting you get one in today. Don’t think I’ll be that good to you during the actual race.”
He laughs. “Bring it on Gray. In fact, I think we should have a wager.”
“What do you have in mind?”
“How ‘bout, the winner buys the beer for the next month?”
‘How ‘bout the loser does that?” I counter offer.
“Deal,” he says with a smile. “Open those pockets Gray; I’ll be drinking up big for the next four weeks.”
I shake my head and laugh. “You’re such a cocky bastard sometimes.”
“You know it.”
Ethan slings his arm over my shoulder. “C’mon, I’ll buy you a beer now, I may as well get one in before you have to do it.”
We head to the bar, joining the other celebrities, all of us elated after the run we just had on the track.
When I get back to the room it is early afternoon. Liv is curled up in the middle of the massive bed, and she is fast asleep. Her mahogany hair is spread out over her pillow and mine, and her breathing is deep and even. Her jeans and sweater are still in place, but her shoes and bag have been discarded by the bed.
She and Ava were going shopping this morning. Clearly it has worn her out.
She is so very beautiful.
I still can’t imagine that this perfect girl is mine.
I lean against the door jamb, just taking her in for a moment.
I move towards the bed as I remove my shoes and hoodie, and climb on behind her carefully. She looks so peaceful. I don’t want to wake her.
I snuggle up against her back, wrapping one arm gently over her and pulling her to me with the other. She whimpers and moves to fit herself perfectly to the shape of my body behind hers. I hear and feel her sigh as she settles back into me.
I smell her hair, her neck - she’s all floral and perfect.
“Did you have fun?” she asks sleepily, her husky voice waking up other parts of my anatomy.
“I did,” I say as I nuzzle her neck, right under her ear where she loves it.
She rubs against me, her luscious ass, against my erection, and my arms snake around her, pulling her tightly against me.
“How was your morning with Ava?”
“Great. I got something gorgeous for the baby.”
“What?”
She reaches to the bedside table and pulls a little onesie out of a white bag. She hands it to me with a smile. It’s grey, and tiny and says, Born to rock on the front with a little white guitar next to the writing.
“I love it,” I say as I put it down on the bed and pull Liv to me. She offers up her lips for a kiss, so I oblige.
Who am I to deny a pregnant woman?
We kiss for endless minutes until I pull back and cup her face with my hands. She smiles warmly at me, her dark eyes glistening in the light and I place a light kiss to the end of her nose.
“Do you want to sleep for a little while longer?”
She looks at me through her lashes and shakes her head slowly side-to-side while biting down on her lip.
I know that face.
I love that face.
I grin back at her as I pull her lips to mine and give her what she is silently asking for.
Liv and I spent last night in the room. We ordered in, ate our fill and then wrapped our limbs around one another for the remainder of the night.
Today we are at the first official media event before the race this afternoon.
The adrenaline is surging through my veins now.
I’m ready to get on that track and get this done.
Ava and Ethan have been with us all morning, and poor Ava is not coping. She hasn’t wanted us to participate in this race from the get-go. Now that the day is actually here, she is worried. She doesn’t want anything to happen to Ethan. Or me for that matter.
Ethan keeps appeasing her with kisses every time her brow furrows.
“It’ll be fine baby, you have to stop worrying. We’ve been through all the training and safety checks. We know what we’re doing.”
She looks at him sceptically as Liv returns to my side and takes my hand. She’s been having some shots taken by the media that has assembled here.
“What’s up?” she says.
“Lots and nothing,” I reply as she smiles at me.
“I can’t wait for today to be over,” Ava says with a roll of her eyes.
“The boys will be fine Ava,” Liv says to reassure her. “I have every faith in them.”
“I do too,” Ava responds, “it’s the other drivers that I don’t have faith in.”
Ethan rubs a hand down her back. “Stop worrying babe,” he repeats, “Gray and I will do great.”
The four of us pose for photos as the resident photographers move through the room, an
d then the drivers are asked to take leave to another area so they can run through the safety instructions one more time.
Liv wraps her arms around my neck and squeezes hard. “I love you, be careful out there. Have fun.”
I kiss her lips, plump and red, and run my knuckles down the side of her face, over her collar-bone and down between her breasts until they land on her stomach. I give the baby a light caress and move forward for another kiss. “I love you.”
She smiles as I make my way past Ethan and Ava towards the briefing room. I toss a “See you soon baby,” over my shoulder and she blows me a kiss.
“I’ll be watching,” she calls as I round the corner, but before I do, I give her one last smile.
Ready, set, go
The boys are settled behind the wheels of their cars, so Ava and I make our way over to a tall table where we can sit and watch the race on the large screen.
Thankfully the media have left the room now, so it’s just the family and friends of the drivers left behind.
Ava brings me a mineral water while she opts for a beer. She has been so nervous all morning. I think she’ll combust if this race doesn’t hurry up and finish.
I give her hand a squeeze, “they’ll all be fine you know.”
She nods. “I can’t help but worry Liv. It’s Ethan. And Gray. And Madeline out there. My family. If anything happened to any of them I’d be devastated. Thank God you pulled out.”
“Well I couldn’t exactly do it in my condition.”
She places her hand flat to my tummy.
“Well this little one is already doing good, and he or she hasn’t even been born yet.”
“It’s a girl according to Gray. He is already referring to it as his daughter.”
“He’s so happy about it Liv.”
I nod. “He is. I knew he’d be over-the-moon, I just didn’t expect that he would be as excited as he is.”
“He loves you more than anything. Can you imagine what he’ll be like with a baby?”
I smile. “He’ll be the best daddy in the world.”
“That’s one lucky baby,” Ava says, “with you two as parents, it will want for nothing.”
