I listened in closer and it sounded like any crying had stopped.

It was getting late, almost midnight, and I was exhausted from all the riding we had done for the day. Not to mention I started to feel my fists getting sore from that dumbass I laid out back before the meeting.

“We should watch her in shifts” I said turning to everyone. “That way she doesn’t sneak out while we’re sleeping, any volunteers for first shift?

“Yeah fine whatever I’ll do it” Axel replied.

“You better not fucking fall asleep” Ron said as he walked out of the laundry room with a handful of blankets.

“I’ll be fine jesus, don’t think I’m not keeping track of how you guys are treating me here. This whole Jack in charge thing is only temporary.”

“Just shut up and watch her door” I said grabbing him by his jacket and pulling him off the couch before laying down myself.

I took the pillow and put it over my face to block out any light. “Just six more days to go” I mumbled into the pillow.

  Chapter Six

  (Viktoria)

I dried my tears on my bedsheet. “It’s not fair, is it too much to ask for the chance to go out on my own? I just want to live a normal life.”

I opened up my laptop, my only real gateway to the outside world. Even when I had my old bodyguards every time I went out I was constantly surrounded and was only allowed to be out for a certain amount of time. I always told dad that the guards always brought attention to me but he refused to listen.

I looked out to the darkness of outside. I never asked to be the daughter of a mob boss, even before he was the boss he made sure I was well protected because of his ambitions.

I spent most of my time just looking at pictures on social media and imagining myself as them. I don’t know why I did it, yeah it showed me what the normal life was but it just made me more frustrated because I knew I couldn’t have it. Time went by and I decided to check my clock, I never could fall asleep earlier than midnight. I was surprised to see that it was nearly 1 am.

That’s when I realized something, I hadn’t heard any stirring coming from the bikers in nearly an hour. I leapt out of bed and put my ear to the door to try and see if I could hear any of them talking, nothing, not a sound.

I opened my door slowly to see one of the bikers sitting on the floor, leaning against the couch and facing my door. I panicked and closed my door quickly but silently. I waited to see if he said anything and, after getting my confidence back up, opened the door again.

It was the shorter one, the one that my dad yelled at. He was leaning against the couch but he was fast asleep. His phone lay by his side with the screen on, he must have fallen asleep while he was using it. I looked around the room to see absolutely all of the bikers fast asleep. This was my chance, my one shot.

I closed my room door and ran back to my closet, choosing a tight red dress and some high heels that I never got to wear. Now that I think about it I rarely ever got a chance to wear high heels, I was stuck inside so much that I never had any need for them even though my dad kept buying them for me.

I went to the bathroom and put on my makeup as quickly as I could, I didn’t know how much time I had before one of them woke up so I had to act fast.

I looked at myself in the mirror, it was the most dressed up I had been in years, my confidence was through the roof.

I slowly slipped out of my room, trying not to make any noise as my high heels hit the hard tile floors. I carefully watched each biker to make sure they were fully asleep. My eyes stopped at Jack, he had a pillow over the top half of his face to cover the city light that leaked in through our wall sized windows. He was sleeping completely shirtless, I watched his body move up and down slowly as he took deep breaths.

My curiosity took over, for the most part I had only seen a few men shirtless before and they were all much too old for my taste. Not including what I looked at online. Never had I seen a man this close to my age showing this much skin. I changed course from the elevator to where Jack was sleeping, it was a risk but I just had to have a peek.

I walked until I was right over him, I leaned over and looked at his body as he slept. He was so muscular, his chest was thick and firm and he had abs that ran down his core. He had tattoos that ran along his arm and a few that peppered the side of his body, I had bodyguards that had tattoos before but none of them were ever like this. I ran my hand just an inch above his skin, feeling the heat come off of his body. I wanted to touch him, just to feel what it felt like, I had never touched a man sensually before and this was the closest I had ever gotten.

  “I shouldn’t” I thought. “It’s so weird and wrong I really shouldn’t.”

But even as I thought that I couldn’t keep my eyes off of his body. My eyes went from his chest to his abs to his lower core. He was sleeping in his jeans but he had unbuttoned them so that he had more breathing room. I slowly lifted up the unbuttoned flap, just trying to get a peek at what was underneath. I had never seen a man below the belt in real life.

“God” I muttered under my breath “you’re so fucking sexy.”

Suddenly he stirred a little bit in his sleep. My heart jumped as I quickly pulled my hand back away from his jeans and stood perfectly still.

He settled back down and I breathed a sigh of relief. “That’s what I get.”

Just looking at him laying there, how gorgeous he was. Part of me wanted to wake him up, to muffle any noise he would make by kissing him deeply. To have him slide those jeans off nice and slow and then have him be the first man to ever take me, soft and quietly so that nobody else in the room would ever notice. I wanted to dig my nails into that chest and just ride him for hours. I wanted to give him a secret that him and I could share, maybe even start my first ever fling, one that would last the whole time my dad was away. Wouldn’t that piss him off, his daughter giving herself to a guard he hired.

I took a deep breath and tried to calm myself down, I had never even had thoughts like that before for a man that was actually in my life. But then again I never met a man as handsome and sexy as Jack.

I looked at his body for a few more seconds, biting my lip at how sculpted it looked before snapping myself out of it. I didn’t want to spend all night staring at my biker bodyguard’s body I wanted to seize this opportunity to actually go out.

Besides, I’m sure there will be plenty of chances to escalate things further with Jack.

I snuck over to the elevator, hitting the button and trying to contain how giddy I was as I listened to it come closer and closer..

The elevator arrived and it opened up, it dinged loudly and practically lit up the whole room with its light. I heard stirring and I panicked. Looking over to the men to see if they had woken up. It looked like Jack had stirred and the pillow had fallen off of his face and onto the floor but other than that I was in the clear. I quickly stepped inside and pressed the button for the ground floor. Hopefully I remembered the password to get back up, to get to our suite you had to enter a code into the elevator before pressing the top button to gain access.

When those elevator doors closed I had never felt more liberated in my life. I can finally go out like a normal girl, I can actually feel what it’s like to not have people constantly guarding me for the first time in my life. I wanted this night to be unforgettable, who knew when my next chance was.

The elevator reached the bottom floor, I stepped out for a moment before hesitating. I reached inside and punched the password in before hitting the top button, just to see if I remembered it correctly. I smiled when I saw the button’s light flash “at least I know I can get back up.”

I walked outside the building and embraced the beginning of my night of freedom. A taxi was passing by and I waved it down, excitedly getting inside as soon as it pulled over.

“Where are you headed” the driver turned and said to me.

Oh god, I was so excited about actually getting out that I didn’t even think of a place
to go.

“Ugh, what’s the most popular nightclub in town?”

“There’s a new place that opened up near here, seems like I’m always picking up people from there. You want me to take you?”

“Oh yes please!” I was so excited, I had never been to a nightclub before. I had only seen them in movies and online.

The taxi driver pulled back out onto the road and started driving. I felt a little guilty, I thought about the threats my father had made to the bikers, about how they had to protect me or else he’d hurt them. Yeah I wanted freedom but I didn’t want anyone to be hurt.

But then a completely different thought crossed my mind; “what if I don’t go back at all?”

The last time I was able to sneak out like this I wasn’t even a teenager yet, I had no idea how restrictive my life was going to be. I opened my purse, I had about $400 in cash, not nearly enough to start a life anywhere but it was enough to escape if I wanted.

I didn’t want to jump the gun on this, I needed a taste of freedom first before I really decided if I wanted to go through with it.

  Tonight would be that taste.

  Chapter Seven

  (Jack)

I woke up to a soft light and a loud dinging noise that rang out through the suite. I sat up confused, rubbing my eyes still half asleep.

I reached around for the pillow that I was using to cover my face, finding it on the ground. I was about to head back to sleep but I turned and saw where the light was coming from. My confusion grew when I saw the elevator open and empty shining it’s light into the suite.

“Did the damn thing go haywire or something?”

I stood up and walked over to the elevator, buttoning my pants so that they wouldn’t fall down. I looked inside the elevator, completely empty. The button for our floor was flashing, someone must have pressed it by mistake. “Don’t know how they got past the code though…”

I stepped out of the elevator and scratched my stomach looking around. “I guess it was just about time for Axel’s shift to be done anyway” I said as the elevator door closed behind me.

I began walking over to Axel, I was wondering why he didn’t react to the elevator opening up like that. I checked my watch to see that it was only 1:30am “that barely even qualifies as a nap” I mumbled.

I walked over to Viktoria’s room to see the door partially open. I looked down to find Axel fast asleep, sitting on the floor with his back against the couch.

  “Shit, don’t tell me...”

I rushed into her room, checking under her bed, in her closet, and in her bathroom. She was gone.

  “Can’t fucking believe this!”

I rushed out and grabbed Axel by his shirt, lifting him to his feet and jarring him awake.

“Whoah Jack what’s going on?” he said dazed and confused.

I laid him out right then and there, punching him square in the face and sending him over the couch and on top of Ron. Fuck it felt good.

“Everyone, wake the fuck up! She got out we have to find her right now!”

Chuck and Mike were up on their feet in no time, Ron pushed Axel off of him while I grabbed my t-shirt and hit the elevator button.

We rushed inside the elevator, Axel stumbled in holding his nose.

Soon as those doors closed I let it loose. I grabbed Axel and slammed him against the wall.

“You have just made the worst mistake of your life, you better hope we find that girl because if we don’t I’ll kill you before Petrov ever sends his men after us.”

Axel wasn’t even paying attention, he was just holding his nose in pain from the hit I had given him earlier. What a goddamn clown.

“The fuck do we do now?” Chuck asked, putting his jacket on.

“We split up, this girl probably spends all of her time trapped in the suite. Search where you think a 20 something year old girl would go if she had the chance.”

The elevator opened and we rushed outside, there was a parking lot near the building where we kept our bikes.

“You all know what to do, keep in contact and find the girl.”

I turned my bike on and it came roaring to life, speeding out of the parking lot.

“God I hope she’s alright, if she isn’t it’s on me. Knew we were in over our heads with this.”

I was speeding down those roads like nobody’s business, hitting turns sharp and running red lights. Didn’t matter if the cops took me in, hell jail might be a better option than to deal with Petrov if I couldn’t find his daughter.

20 minutes of searching felt like two hours with the stress I was going through.

“Where the hell would a girl like that go if she was free for the night? Busses and trains are closed down so she can’t get out of the city that way, doubt she has the money to take a cab too far out of the city so she has to be close by.”

I pulled over on the side of the road, frustrated. “AHH this is hopeless!” I yelled out.

I looked across the street to see a girl walking around by herself. “Viktoria?” I called out in desperation. The girl turned to me and smiled, she was drunk off her ass. “Damn, ain’t her… oh god no she’s coming over here.”

“Oh my gooooddd I love motorcycles!” she said as she got in front of my bike and tried to put her hand on me.

I brushed it away, last thing I needed was some drunk bar hopper draped all over me while I was trying to find Viktoria.

“Look, lady, I don’t have time for this I’m looking for someone. I thought you were here and clearly you ain’t so please get out of the way.”

“Oh welllll I mean there’s not a whole lot open right now so she doesn’t really have many choicessss. It’s so lame so many places close by 1:30 now, except for that one club… Samara! They fucking turned me away though just because I was already drunk…’

“Samara, club Samara, it’s worth a shot. Which direction is it?”

“Go like 4 blocks that way and then 6 blocks left and it’s probably there, I think” she said pointing.

She thinks, guess it’s better than nothing. I revved the bike, causing the girl to squeal and jump to the side out of the way. Normally I would have helped her out, especially since she helped me, but my life and Viktoria’s safety were on the line here.

I made a U-turn and hit that throttle harder than I ever have in my life. “4 blocks, left, 6 blocks” I repeated to myself over and over. God I hoped she was right, pretty young thing like her doesn’t deserve to be kidnapped by her dad’s enemies when she’s gone her whole life locked away.

I pulled a sharp left, skidding along the pavement and barely regaining control of my bike. “Come on baby don’t fail me now.”

Off in the distance I saw a line of people, as I got closer and closer I made out the words “Samara” in neon lights over the door.

I pulled over on the opposite side of the road. “Is this really a place she would want to go to? Not like I have any other leads...”

I got off my bike and started walking towards the club, with a line of people that long it looked like the wait would be at least 30 minutes. I didn’t have that kind of time.

I walked to the front of the door but was blocked by the bouncer. He was my height but goddamn this guy large, must have had a good 60 pounds on me.

“First of all there’s a line, second of all you’re not allowed in here with a t-shirt, jeans, and boots. Go home, change, come back and try again.”

“Look buddy I don’t have time for this, I just need to check and see if someone is inside, I’ll be in and out just like that.”

“You think I haven’t heard that excuse before.”

“It wasn’t an excuse, it was an order, move out of the way.”

The bouncer dropped his clipboard and rolled his sleeves up, stepping forward.

“You wanna try saying that again big man?”

“I said I got business to take care of, move out the way.” I put my hand on him to push him, big mistake.

  He swung a
t me, hitting me hard in the face but with all the adrenalin rushing through my body I hardly felt it. He stepped in to take another swing but missed completely, losing his balance. As he tried to regain his footing I landed a solid hit to the side of his head, knocking him down but not out.

Before I could even tell what was going on the whole line of people started cheering and rushing into the club through the door. The bouncer was quickly getting up, I had to take the chance given to me. I ran into the crowd and followed them through the door into the night club.

Once I actually go in I was stuck in the crowd, forced to move where they moved as they poured into the club. Just when it seemed like I was wasting my time I saw her, off on her own in a corner sipping a cocktail.

I fought through the crowd to get to her, each foot was a struggle as I pushed people aside to get to her. I couldn’t believe it, I really couldn’t believe it, I found her. She was safe and sound without a scratch on her.

I snuck up behind her and put my hand on her shoulder. She practically jumped out of those high heels of hers.

She turned to me, startled. I couldn’t believe my eyes she somehow looked even more drop dead gorgeous all made up. I had half a mind to not tell the guys I rescued her and have some fun with her here in the club, I’m sure I could show her a better time then what she was having right now.

“Just get her out of here, Jack” I thought.

“You! You’ve put me through hell tonight and you’re coming back with me right now.”

I looked over the crowd and saw two large men heading our way, “shit, must be more bouncers. Come with me.”

I grabbed her by that hand and pulled her with me, surprisingly she didn’t put up a fight, in fact she squeezed my hand hard when I took it.

I took her to the back of the club, desperately looking for a way out. I turned around and saw the two men getting closer and closer. I looked around for any possible way we could escape but the only door was to the women’s bathroom.
