Save Me, Daddy: Rainbow Room Book 1

“No, he's not okay.” The Captain said with a sigh. “That's why you should take him to the break room. Don´t make me repeat myself. You’re already in enough trouble.”
“Yes, sir. Come on, Samuel.” I led Sam out of the room. Luckily, the break room was empty, so I made Sam sit down on the sofa. I went and grabbed a bottle of water then sat down beside him. “Baby? Can you look at me?” His eyes were open wide but unfocused, and his hands were shaking. He blinked but turned his head and finally focused on me. “Here, drink this.”
“You hit him.”
“I did.”
“You hit him,” Sam repeated in a soft voice. I was confused. Was he upset? No, he didn’t sound angry. He sounded astonished. “For me. You hit him for me.”
“Yes, Baby. I should not have done it, but he´d deserved it. He had no right to talk to…uff.” I got the wind knocked out of me when Sam threw himself into my arms. Surprised, I dropped the water bottle and just hugged him back. I sighed.
“Thank you, Daddy.” Sam whispered against my neck and wiggled around until he got comfortable on my lap.
“You're welcome, Baby. I'd do anything to protect you.” I opened his water bottle and held it out to his lips. “Here. Drink.” His hands were still shaking, but he wasn't so pale, and his eyes looked brighter.
“How are you feeling?” Sam shrugged. “Talk to me, Baby.”
“I… I was…” Sam sighed and started to fidget with the cuff of my jacket. “I watched the video. It was horrible. What they did to Luke…” Sam swallowed and frowned. “What Curtis said… about…”
“Don´t even think about it. Curtis is an asshole who wanted to get under your skin to hurt you.”
“I had no idea, someone, here would know Rosek.”
“He was the Detective who assaulted you?”
Sam nodded. “I'm sorry.”
“You have nothing to be sorry about, Baby.”
“You're in trouble because of me.”
“No, not because of you. I'm in trouble because I hit a homophobic asshole. Whatever Captain Benson does to me is worth it.” Sam started to run his fingers over the back of my hand. I realized he was reaching for my thumb. “I need you to stay a big boy a little longer, Baby. Captain Benson will want to talk to us.”
“I don't want to adult right now.”
“I know.” I hugged him closer to my chest. “I promise, as soon as we can go home, you can be Little as long as you need it.”
“And I can suckle your thumb?”
“Does it taste better than yours?”
“Yes, because it's Daddy’s.” Sam replied softly, and my heart skipped a beat. I kissed the top of his head and just held him.
“Anything you need, Baby. Just relax.”

Half an hour later, there was a knock on the door, and I gently nudged Sam to sit up. He sighed but complied and sat down on the sofa beside me. Captain Benson waited for my call to come in before he entered the room with Lieutenant Alec Weston, Sam’s Supervisor.
“The Captain filled me in on what happened.” Weston said, and pulled a chair over and sat down in front of us. “Are you alright, Samuel?”
“I… yeah?” Sam asked instead of answering.
“Sam, how are you holding up?” Weston pushed for an answer.
“I’m ok. I think,” Sam whispered.
“Okay.” The Lieutenant exchanged a look with Captain Benson before he looked back at Sam. “Sam, we want you to take a few days off.”
“What?” Sam looked at me, then back to his Supervisor. “But why? I didn't do anything wrong.”
“This is not a punishment, Samuel.” Weston continued in that soft, quiet voice. “You were just verbally attacked. After what happened in Boston. We want you to take some time off to deal with this. Relax, speak to our psychologist if you want, whatever it takes to help you with this.”
“Oh. Okay.”
It was a good idea. Sam had just admitted that he was barely holding up, and he was having trouble not falling into Little mode. He needed some time off away from the precinct. Any more incidents and my poor boy was going to have terrible PTSD.
“Now to you, Detective Lannister.” Weston’s soft voice changed into a stern tone, but when I looked at him, he grinned. “Just so you know, I am not saying this. Thank you for stepping up for Samuel.” The Captain cleared his throat. “What? We all know Curtis deserved it.”
“He sure did.” My Captain sighed. “I heard what he said, Doctor Baker, and I can assure you that it won't happen again. Detective Curtis is on his way to Internal Affairs as we speak. He'll be suspended for at least two weeks. After that, we'll talk about a transfer to a different precinct with him.”
“It’s not your fault. You didn’t make Curtis do those things.” Sam said, and I was so proud of him. That was my sweet and kind Sam.
“Now for you, Lannister.” Captain Benson looked at me, and I straightened my back.
“I won't apologize.”
“I know that, and I wouldn't ask that of you. But, Jakob, you hit him in the middle of the precinct. I can't let you walk away without consequences.”
“What?” Sam gasped and jumped up off the couch. “But that's not fair. He was protecting me.”
“I agree. It's not fair,” Captain said. “But it's the right thing to do. I can't have my detectives fighting with each other, and I can't punish one and not the other.”
“He's right, Sam.” I hated that I was getting punished for beating Curtis, but the Captain was right. It is the right thing to do. I hit another Detective, and even if they agreed with me that he deserved it, I crossed a line. Plus, I saw the positive side of it. He just got a few days off, and I was about to get suspended. That meant that I could spend all that time taking care of my Sam.
“How long?”
“Seven days.”

Sam was quiet as we drove back to my place.
“What's on your mind, Baby?”
“I still don't understand why they punished you. It’s not fair.”
“It was the right thing to do, Sam. Just think about it for a second. What message would Captain Benson have sent, if he let me get away with hitting another Detective?” I argued. Sam was smart, he would understand it, but he was still shaken up and emotionally hurt. He couldn't see it right now.
“I get that, but still, it seems unfair.”
Ah, I put the pieces together. Sam felt guilty. I reached over and stroked his cheek.
“It's not your fault, Sam. Stop worrying about it and stop feeling guilty. Curtis got what he deserved, and I get to spend this time with you. Actually, I think I just got a nice reward and not a punishment.”
“A reward?” Sam’s head whipped around, and I glanced at him, wiggling my eyebrows.
“Well, of course. Seven days to take care of my Little Boy. That’s a lot of spoiling, you know.”
That had Sam giggling, and I held back a relieved sigh and laughed with him. That was much better. Before I could tell him more about what we could do over the next few days, my phone rang, and I glanced at the caller ID.
“That didn't take long.” I smiled at Sam to let him know that everything was okay and pressed the speaker button on my phone. “Hi, Dad.”
“I just got a call that my son got suspended.”
“Dad, I can't.” I started, but he laughed, and I knew that whoever had called him told him what had happened.
“Well done, Son. Benson did what he had to do, but that doesn´t mean that I can´t make you dinner and clap you on the shoulder for it.”
“Thanks, Dad. But I'm going to be busy for the next few days.” Without even glancing his way, I knew that Sam blushed.
“Oh, right, yes. The colleague you protected. When can I meet him?”
“Dad, you´re on speaker, and Sam is in the car with me.” And probably freaking out right now, but the street was busy, and I needed to concentrate on driving.
“Really
? Hello Sam. My name is Andrew. I'm Jakob’s Dad.”
Sam made a strangled noise. “H-Hello.”
“When can you boys come over for dinner to celebrate Jakob’s victory?”
I could feel Sam's eyes on me. “Maybe this weekend, Dad. I'll call you, okay?”
“Make sure you do, or I'll come over unannounced.” I ended the call and stopped the car at a red light. I took the time to look over at Sam and nearly laughed at his bewildered expression.
“He wouldn't do that, would he?”
“Relax, Baby. He has never come over unannounced, and he doesn't have a key to my apartment. It was just an empty threat. But his invitation is serious.”
“Okay.”
“You don't have to think about it now. We can talk about it tomorrow. Right now, you relax and let me take care of everything.” Sam was quiet for the rest of our drive home. I parked the car in the garage, and when I got to his door, he smiled shyly up at me. Somewhere on the ride, he finally gave in and was in Little Mode now. I reached into the car and unbuckled him.
“Hey there, Peanut.”
“Hello, Daddy.”
“How are you feeling?”
“Hurting.” Sam bit his lip for a second. “I want to be Little.”
“And that's okay. Now you can be Little as long as you want and need. Daddy will take care of you.”
“Can we cuddle?”
“Are you tired, Peanut?” I wasn't surprised that he nodded. The morning must have been emotionally draining for him. “Come on, I'll tuck you in bed, you can sleep, and we can cuddle.” I helped him out of the car, slung his backpack over my shoulder and took his hand. “How about I read you a story until you fall asleep?”
“A fairytale?”
“Yes. You can choose a fairytale.” He cuddled into my side as we walked. I hoped that story time and a nap would help to calm his nerves. And if that didn't help, then there was still the playroom I hadn't shown him yet.
Chapter 10
Samuel
This morning messed with my head and put me on an emotional rollercoaster—first, the video and a whopper of a flashback. Then Detective Curtis with his nasty comments. Daddy’s fistfight. AND then the cherry on the top of it all, Daddy’s suspension. It was so unfair. He was just defending me. The rational part of my brain understood the punishment, but the other side said that Curtis is a dirty rotten fink and deserved what he got and more. I sighed.
Finally, I was able to let go. Daddy led me into his apartment and directly to the bedroom. I looked longingly at his bed. All I wanted to do was crawl inside, cuddle with Daddy and sleep until I forgot about everything that had happened today. My penguin sat on one of the pillows, and I desperately wanted to hold him.
“Bob.”
“Who's Bob?” Daddy asked after he put my backpack down beside his dresser. He came back to me and smiled when I made grabby hands towards my penguin. “Oh, Bob.”
“He looks like a Bob.”
“I guess he does. But let's get you changed into something comfortable first. Then you can say hello to Bob and cuddle him. Sit down on the bed for me, please.”
I sat down. Daddy went over to his dresser and rummaged through one of the drawers. Then he came back and knelt in front of me.
“Are you a big boy that can change yourself, or do you want Daddy to help you?”
I appreciated so much that he made sure that I was okay with what happened, but I shook my head. I just wanted to be Little, so I raised my arms, and Daddy smiled at me.
“Okay. You just relax and let Daddy take care of everything else.”
“Yes, please.” Daddy quickly whisked away my shirt and slipped on one of his fuzzy soft t-shirts. He untied my shoes and set them aside.
“Stand up, Peanut.” I stood and watched Daddy strip my jeans off and help me into some sleep pants. “There you go, Peanut. Do you need to use the bathroom before we lay down?”
I nodded and bit my lip. To make sure Daddy knew what I wanted, I grabbed his hand and tugged.
“Yep, let's go. Daddy's going to help you.”
Oh, thank god. I followed him to the bathroom and sighed in relief when Daddy led me over to the toilet and stepped up behind me. His muscular body warmed my back. I leaned into him, letting him push the sweatpants down. The air felt cold on my penis, and I shivered. Then Daddy’s warm hand took hold of my penis and guided it over the toilet.
“There you go, Peanut. You can let go now.”
Not only that, as I started to piss, I also felt like a weight lifted off my shoulders. Daddy was there, and he would take care of everything. For the first time today, my body relaxed.
“Such a good boy for Daddy.” Daddy praised quietly. “Let´s get you cleaned up and then tucked into bed.” We walked over to the sink, and Daddy helped me wash my hands. “You can cuddle with Bob while I get you some water and a book, alright?”
“But, you'll hurry, right?”
“Yes, Peanut. I'll hurry.”
Daddy led me back to the bed and had me sit down before he handed me Bob and kissed my forehead. I clutched Bob to my chest and stared at the open door after Daddy had left. I didn't want to be alone, but I couldn't follow him around like a puppy. It still felt like hours until he returned with my sippy cup filled with water and a book. He placed both on the nightstand. He changed into sweatpants and a t-shirt as I watched. He finally walked over and pulled the comforter back.
“Hop in, Peanut. Time for cuddles and a story.”
Daddy followed me into the bed, and I turned around and cuddled into his side as soon as he laid down. But it wasn't enough. I needed to be closer to him. I needed to feel him wrapped around me. “Can I be your little octopus?”
“My… what?”
Wiggling around, I laid half of my body on top of him, one arm and one leg wrapped around him, while I rested my head on his chest. Daddy laughed but gently took my glasses off. He reached over and placed them on the nightstand, then he grabbed his book and pulled the comforter over us.
“I like you playing octopus with me.”
“I like it, too.” Sighing, I grabbed his free hand and pulled so I could suckle on his thumb. “Story, Daddy.”
“Okay, let's get started. But first, close your eyes, Peanut.”
My eyes closed and I suckled on his thumb, Daddy started to read. His voice soothed me, and I could feel his heartbeat under my cheek. It didn't take long for me to fall asleep.
◆◆◆
When I woke up, I was lying on top of Daddy. He held me close, while his hand stroked lazy circles on my back. It felt safe, warm, and comfortable. Why couldn’t we stay like that forever? I lost his thumb while I slept, and blindly, I reached out and searched for his hand.
“More suckling?” Daddy asked quietly but touched my lips with his thumb. Nodding, I started to suckle and enjoyed the calm feeling that overcame me. “Five more minutes, then I´m going to make your lunch. You need to eat something, Peanut.”
“Not hungry.”
“Are you not hungry, or is your tummy hurting because of what happened?”
“Tummy hurting.” I whispered around his thumb. Daddy’s hold on me tightened, and I could feel him kissing my head.
“Is it hurting too much to have pancakes with chocolate chips?”
“Pancakes?” My head snapped up, and I blinked at Daddy. “With chocolate chips?”
“Wow, I discovered the cure for tummy aches. It's a miracle.”
“Daddddddy, will there be chocolate chips?”
“Oh, alright, and maybe I can find some chocolate sauce to dip them in.”
I climbed off him so quickly that he laughed. “Come on, Daddy. Pancakes!”
“What? No more suckling on my thumb?”
“Nooo! That can wait. But the pancakes can't.” All I could think about were pancakes with lots of chocolate, so I yanked the comforter off. “Come on, Daddy! Hurry!”
“Don't forget your glasses, Peanut.”
“Dam
n.” Huh. No wonder everything was blurry, but I mean pancakes were so much more important than seeing, right?
“Language!”
“Sorry, Daddy.” I put my glasses on and stared down at him. Why was he still in bed? He promised me pancakes. “There. Glasses. Check. Now pancakes.”
“Go get your crayons and a coloring book. That way, you can color while I…” My feet carried me out the door and down the hall, but still heard Daddy sigh and yell out.
“No running, Sam!”
“Sorry, Daddy!” I slowed down a little bit but still rushed into the living room. What coloring book should I take? There were so many options. I squealed when I found the one with sea animals. “Yay!” The perfect picture for Daddy popped out in front of me. It was an octopus. I grabbed the book and the basket with crayons and went into the kitchen. Daddy stood in front of the open fridge, frowning.
“I'm going to color an octopus!”
“That´s awesome, Peanut.” Daddy closed the fridge and turned towards me. Uh oh. “If we are both going to be home for the next few days, we´ll need some groceries. Do you feel up to going shopping?”
“No!”
“Okay, but we´ll need food and some other supplies.” Daddy looked at me with his thinking face. “I guess you won't stay at home alone, either?” I shook my head quickly, clutching the coloring book to my chest. “Then I'm going to call Des and see if he can pick up some things for us. Will that be alright if he comes over later? It won’t take long, and I know he won't mind seeing Little Sam.”
I shrugged and wasn't sure how I felt about Des seeing me Little here, but it was the most acceptable option. And Des had been friendly at the Rainbow Room. He even suggested that I call him Uncle Des. I bit my lip while I sat down at the table and opened my octopus’
“Ok, Daddy. He can come over.”
“Alright. You start on your picture, and I’ll give him a quick call, then I'll start on the pancakes. After lunch, I have a surprise for you.”
“A surprise?”
“After lunch, Peanut.” Daddy walked over, put a sippy cup of milk in front of me, and kissed my head. “Now, you color that cute octopus for Daddy.”
