  “No.”

“Good.” Darrell pulled his gloves off and smiled. “Well done, Buddy. That's it.”

“He's good?” I asked just to make sure, and Darrell grinned at me.

“Yes, he´s good. I´ll go and check on Josh so you can dress your little turtle.”

  “Thank you, Darrell.”

“You're welcome.” Darrell closed his bag and grinned at me before he left the room. “This is going to be an epic housewarming party.”

“Is he serious?” Sam asked after Darrell had left the room and turned towards me.

“I guess he is.” I started to unpack his turtle costume. “Darrell knows that I would do anything for my boy. So, I guess he is right. The party is going to be epic.”

“So, if I want an elephant, you would get one?”

“I think we would draw the line at getting an elephant.” Chuckling, I unfolded the costume and motioned to Sam to get rid of his jeans. “But you would never ask for an elephant. You would ask for a turtle.”

“Because turtles are the best!” Sam exclaimed, hopped up, and pulled off his jeans.

“And you're going to be the cutest turtle ever. Step in and let me help you get dressed up.” I knelt and helped him into his costume. The fabric felt so soft, and I could only imagine how this would feel against Sam’s skin. I knew my Baby Boy would love how the soft fabric felt. Sam pushed his arms through the sleeves, and I closed the zipper for him. Pulling the hood up, I had to agree with Josh. Sam was the cutest turtle ever. “You look adorable, Peanut.”

“I do?” His hands roamed over his chest, and he looked down. “It´s so soft.”

Yep, I knew my Little Boy.

“Do you want to go to the bedroom to have a look at the tall mirror?”

“Yes!” Sam rushed out of the room, and I groaned. I wondered how many times I would have to put him in the corner before he stopped running inside.

When I stepped into our bedroom, Sam already stood in front of the mirror, turning from side to side to get a better look. “I have a carapace, Daddy.”

  “What's that, Peanut?”

  “It’s my hard shell, Daddy.”

“Oh. Ok. But it won’t protect you from falling when you run in the apartment.” At least Sam had the decency to blush.

  “Sorry, Daddy.”

“You will be very sorry when you have to spend your playdate in the corner.” I gave him a stern look, and my little turtle let his shoulders drop. “Last warning, Samuel.”

  “Yes, Daddy. No running.”

Two hours later, I sat with Darrell on the sofa while we watched our boys in the corner. We warned them that a dinosaur chasing a turtle through the apartment would only get them corner time. We both should have known better. They were quiet in the playroom for maybe twenty minutes, while Darrell and I worked on dinner before the giggling erupted once more, and the turtle was chased by a dinosaur again.

Darrell’s booming voice had them both stopping dead in their tracks, and they wore identical blushes when we told them to stand in the corner for ten minutes. Now, three minutes into their punishment, they kept glancing at each other, their shoulders equally shaking with suppressed laughter.

I shook my head and looked at Darrell, who rolled his eyes in return. “Looks like dessert is only for Daddies tonight.”

“What? No!” Josh whirled around and stared at us while Sam had only turned his head with a shocked expression.

  “Look at the wall, Joshua.”

“Ooh, he called you Joshua,” Sam whispered. He sounded so innocent and so shocked that I had to bite my cheek to suppress my laughter.

“Yes, Samuel, because you two are supposed to look at the wall and take your punishment quietly.” They both turned around again, and Darrell and I exchanged a sympathetic look. Those two were going to be trouble together. But I loved that Sam had a friend now. I´d do anything and would give him everything to make him happy.

“Okay, Peanut, time to wash you so I can put you to bed,” I said later that evening, when Sam sat in the tub, enjoying his bubble bath. It was the perfect ending for a perfect day. We gathered up all the things he needed from his apartment in the morning and got him settled into my, no, our apartment during the day. Then he had a playdate and dinner with friends, and now he was exhausted. Sam kept yawning, and instead of playing, he just shoved his bath toys through the water. But the biggest clue was his nod. Usually, he would beg for more time to play.

  “Okay, Daddy.”

“Lean your head back.” I steadied him with my arm and poured a cup of water over his head. “How is it that even with your bibs, you end up having food in your hair?”

  “I don't know.”

“Maybe I’ll feed you tomorrow.” I helped him to sit up and shampooed his hair. We had lasagna, and somehow Sam had managed to get tomato sauce into his hair again. I gently washed and rinsed his hair for him. I took his turtle the sponge and added soap. Sam yawned again while I started to wash his shoulders. “We'll get you all clean, and then I'll put you to bed, Peanut.”

  “I´m not tired.”

“I know.” His next yawn proved his words were all lies, and I chuckled. Usually, I would take my time cleaning him, but tonight I needed to get him to bed. By the time I finished washing his back, his eyes were partly closed, and I was sure he would be fast asleep if I continued. I skipped washing his legs and gently nudged his chin.

“Come on. Let's get you out and dried, or you're going to fall asleep on me when I brush your teeth.”

We made it to bed without him falling asleep, but when I came back after I took care of my own business, his eyes were closed and his breathing even. I got into bed as quietly as possible and gently took his glasses off. Sam wrinkled his nose but didn't open his eyes. Even half-asleep, after I laid down, he wiggled around and laid out on top of me.

“Good night, Peanut. I love you.”

“Love you too, Daddy.” Without even suckling, Sam was fast asleep within seconds. Smiling, I laid there and stroked his back. I have been a Daddy for so long, and I had boys before, but I´d never felt so content, calm, and happy in my life. This moment was just perfect; everything about my relationship with Sam had clicked into place. Naturally, there would be bumps on our road, but I was sure that we could deal with it without losing the connection we had.

The next morning, I woke up to someone poking me in the side, and I groaned. Sam giggled, and the bed bounced a little when he moved. Then I smelt coffee and slowly opened my eyes. Sam knelt on the bed beside me, holding a cup in his hand, and he blew the smell towards my face.

  “You're awake!”

“Yes. Someone woke me up.” Sam blushed but grinned.

“I made you breakfast in bed. You need to be awake to eat it.”

“You did?” I sat up and looked at the tray. There were scrambled eggs, bacon, and even waffles with fresh fruit. “That looks delicious, Baby.”

“Thank you, Daddy.” Sam smiled proudly at the praise and sat cross-legged on the bed. “I wanted to do something nice for you on my first day here.”

“You did a good job. But it´s not your first day here, technically.”

“Well, it is my first day living with you.”

“It is, yes.” I smiled at him and dug into the eggs. They were fluffy and tasted terrific. “Wow. These are terrific.”

“Good.” Sam leaned forward and opened his mouth like a little bird. I looked back down on the tray. Right yes, there was only one plate. I fed some eggs to him and took a bite of bacon myself before I kept feeding him. It was intimate in a way that made my heart swell. I would need to start feeding him regularly.

“So, special breakfast in bed,” I asked after he swallowed. “Any other plans I should know of?” Sam blushed so quickly I was afraid he was going to pass out.

“Uhm… well… I… We don´t need to leave the apartment today, so I thought that maybe
we uh, um, could spend the day in bed?”

“In bed?” Oh, now I got why he´d blushed so hard. My boy had naughty thoughts. “And what would we do in bed?”

“Uh, special things?” Sam wiggled a little, and when I glanced down, I could see that he was hard. Ah, those kinds of special things. Well, I could live with that.

I put the plate on the tray and leaned over to put it on the nightstand, and then I leaned back again. “Come here, Baby.”

Sam nearly fell over when he tried to untangle his legs and crawl over to where I was leaning against the headboard. I shoved the bedding back, and Sam moaned when he saw that I was hard as well. “Let´s make this an extraordinary day.”

“Just today?” Sam climbed on my lap and moaned when our erections touched.

“Today.” I kissed him gently. “Tomorrow.” Another kiss. “The day after tomorrow.” Another kiss, this time more passionate. “Forever, Baby.”

  “Yes. Yes, forever.”

I spat into my hand and wrapped it around our cocks. There would be time to make love to him again later. But right now, it was too hard to have a lot of patience. I wanted to see him come undone. To relax and just let go. I wanted to make his world fall apart so I could put it back together.

  “D-Daddy!”

“Are you close, Baby?” Sam shivered and nodded, unable to answer with words. “Then come for me. Come for Daddy, Baby.”

“Daddy!” Sam shot his load, and I came shortly after him. Just watching him orgasm pushed me over the edge. It was such a hot and beautiful sight to see him cum.

“My beautiful boy.” Blinking, Sam looked at me and leaned forward until he could cuddle into me.

“I love you so much, Daddy.”

  “I love you too, Baby.”

“Can we go home now?” I asked, but Grandpa Andrew only laughed.

  “Aren´t you enjoying the museum?”

“No. I mean. Gah! Yesss!” Andrew had taken me to see the Museum of Natural History this morning, and it was great. But I knew that Andrew only did it so Daddy could prepare my housewarming party. Daddy wanted me to be out of the apartment so that it would be a surprise. I knew that he ordered lots of decorations, and I overheard some conversations he had with Des and Darrell about decorations and stuff. But I had no idea what he planned because no one would tell me.

When I asked Des, he only ruffled my hair and had said, “Nice try, Sweet Boy.” Asking Andrew had only gotten me a laugh and a shake of his head. Asking my Daddy hadn´t even been an option. Because the one time I did, he just kissed me and had said, “Patience, Baby.” Josh had also tried to bribe his Daddy with a blowjob to get information. Josh had pouted for a week after that. Because apparently trying to bribe information out of his Daddy was a punishable offense. And because he tried to use a blowjob as a bribe, Josh was denied an orgasm for three days.

“Why don't we go to the gift store and see if we can find something for you.”

I groaned. Even a gift couldn't get my mind off the party. But then Grandpa Andrew said the magic words.

“After that, we can go home, Sweet Boy.”

Finally! I grabbed his hand and pulled him towards the ground floor where the gift shop was. “Come on, Grandpa!”

“Slow down, Sam, or you´ll have us both falling down the stairs.”

“No! Then I'd miss my party!”

“Exactly.” Grandpa took over and led me more slowly down the stairs and into the gift shop. Some people gave us odd looks, but I ignored them. Andrew did the same and just led me into the shop and looked around. “Let's see what they have for a charming boy. Another Plushie?”

I looked around, not seeing anything exciting. But then I spotted it, a beautiful poster with a giant turtle swimming in a coral reef.

“Can I please have this, Grandpa?”

“Of course, Sweet Boy.” Andrew walked over to the salesclerk and paid for the poster. I was going to put it up in my playroom over my bed. Yes, that would be the ideal place. When Andrew finished paying, he found me and not only had my new poster but a plush turtle as well. “Sweet Boys can´t have enough stuffed turtles, right.”

  “Thank you, Grandpa!”

“You're welcome. Now, let's get you to your party.”

“Yes!” I threw one fist in the air while clutching my new turtle to my chest with my other arm. I lost count over the last few months of how many plush turtles I got, but Grandpa was right. You could never have enough. And now I had something I could hold onto on the drive back.

  ◆◆◆

After three months of therapy with Ray, I was able to get into a car without having a full-blown panic attack. But there were times it still made me nervous. I wanted to have a housewarming party right after Darrell had brought up the idea, but Jakob suggested we wait. I notified the apartment manager of my building that I was not renewing my lease about a month ago. After I told Jakob that I wasn’t going to renew the lease, he started to plan the party. He said the party would be after I was all moved in, and that happened last weekend.

But that wasn’t the only change in the last three months. Jakob put in his notice and quit the police force shortly after the incident with Curtis. It took me a little longer to make that decision. Two weeks before I was supposed to get back at work, I decided to put in my notice. Every time I thought about going back to the precinct, I freaked out. I almost had several panic attacks thinking about returning to work. I finally admitted that I didn´t want to go back. Jakob said he was okay with either decision, but he was relieved that I wasn´t going back.

So, for now, we are both unemployed. But being the Daddy, he is, Jakob had already been making plans. He had been talking to a Victims Rights attorney he knows about doing some private investigation work. I hope that I can join his team when the time comes. Life is good. I have a new home, and I finally have what I wanted for so long. I have a Daddy who loves me and who I love. I have a doting Grandpa and more friends than I have ever had. I’ve never been so happy.

I would be even happier if Daddy didn’t stop me outside of our apartment.

“Ah, not so quick, Baby. You may want to get changed first, and then I need you to close your eyes.”

“What? Whhhyyyy?” I whined. They made me stay away from home for hours now. I didn´t want to wait any longer.

“Don´t you want to be a cute little turtle for your party?” Daddy held up my turtle Kigurumi, and I sighed. Daddy was not playing fair. He knew how much I liked my costume and how much I loved to be a turtle. He knew just what buttons to push to get me to be patient.

Andrew politely turned around when I pulled my shirt off and took my jeans off. Then Daddy helped me into my costume.

“There is my cute turtle.” Daddy kissed me on the lips and pulled the hood over my head. Then he kissed me again. “I need you to close your eyes, Baby. Can you do that or do I have to use a blindfold?”

“You expect me not to peek?”

“Blindfold, it is then.” Daddy laughed but kissed me again before he covered my eyes with one of his silk ties. “Trust me, Baby. You just have to wear it until we're inside. Then you can see your surprise.”

“Let's go then.” I couldn´t see anything, but I could hear Andrew chuckle behind me. Then I felt Daddy’s hand in mine, and I let him lead me into our apartment. I heard Andrews's footsteps behind me, but otherwise, I couldn't hear anything. Has the party not started yet? Was no one here? What if no one wanted to come? I held my breath when Jakob stopped in, what I thought, was the living room.

  “Are you ready, Baby!”

“Yes! Yes!” I was so ready, and I was vibrating with excitement. Then I felt Daddy’s hand at the back of my head when he opened the knot.

“I love you, Baby.” Daddy whispered into my ear, and then he let the tie drop. Blinking, I opened my eyes, and my mouth dropped open.

The whole living room looked like a giant aquarium. There were balloons in different shades of
green and blue, waving like seagrass. White sheets covered the walls, and something was projecting images of the ocean on them. There was a shark pinata hanging from the ceiling, along with some of my stuffed turtles.

“I'm in the ocean,” I whispered totally in awe of what Jakob had done with our living room. Tears gathered in my eyes. Turning around, I threw my arms around Daddy and hugged him. “Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you, Daddy. I love it!”

“A special party for my special boy.” Jakob kissed me but sighed when the soundtrack from “The Little Mermaid” blasted from the kitchen. “I guess Josh doesn’t need to hide in the kitchen anymore.”

  “Josh is here?”

“Do you truly think we could have kept him from helping set this up?”

Giggling I let go of Daddy and looked around him the same moment, Josh came running into the living room. “Oh my God, you´re Nemo!”

“Yes!” Josh turned around and showed me his costume. “I´ve got a new Kigurumi just for your party.”

“Wow. That is so cool!” Josh hopped over to where I stood and hugged me so tight that I squeaked. “Can't breathe!”

“Happy housewarming!” Josh let go of me and clapped in his hands. “Wait till you see the cake they got for you!”

“Joshua! Don't you dare spill that surprise!” Darrell's booming voice rang out behind him.

“Whoa. Your Daddy called you Joshua.” I giggled, and Josh poked me in the side.

“Yeah, well, your Daddy calls you Samuel when you are in trouble.”

“If you two start running around again, it will be sooner rather than later.” Jakob warned the same time, the doorbell rang.

“I´ll get it.” Grandpa announced, and Josh took my hand to show me around. There were so many cool things scattered around the room. Like snack bowls on the coffee table and goldfish crackers!! I was so overwhelmed. It was going to be the bestest party ever! And it was about to get even better because I heard Des talking with Andrew in the hallway.
