“Uncle Des!” Josh and I squealed when Des came into the living room. Although I frowned at his weird outfit, he was wearing funny-looking pants and a trench coat. Jakob seemed to pick up on that as well because he glared at Des.
“What are you wearing?”
“A surprise.” Des waggled his eyebrows, and Josh and I giggled, while Darrell moaned.
“Please tell me that you´re not planning to strip.”
“You wish.” Des rolled his eyes at Darrell, and then he turned to Josh and me again. “Okay, Little ones, ready?” Josh and I nodded eagerly, but I frowned when Des started to hum the Jaws theme song again. The last time he did that, I had gotten me into trouble, and I glanced at Jakob, who looked suspiciously at Des.
Then Des got rid of his trench coat, and both Josh and I squealed again. He was wearing a shark, Kigurumi! “You´re a shark, Uncle Des!” Josh screamed, and both our Daddies groaned at the same time.
“Seriously, Des?” Jakob asked while shaking his head.
“What?” Des shrugged and pulled the hood onto his head. “Why are the Little ones the only ones who can have all the fun dressing up.”
“We're going to have so much fun, Uncle Des,” Josh exclaimed as he jumped up and down. I wasn´t so sure about the fun part. After all, I had a suspicious feeling that having fun with Des would end with us in the corner again, mainly because both of our Daddies groaned again.
“We need to find him his own Little,” Jakob said to Darrell.
“Yeah, good idea. Then maybe he would be too tired to spoil our boys.” Darrell shot Josh a warning glance. “Or get them into trouble for running, for that matter.”
“You know what.” Jakob sighed and shook his head. “Why even bother with warning them about running. Des will make them do it, no matter the punishment.”
“Of course, I will. I'm the fun, Uncle.” Des shrugged and grinned at Josh and me.”
“If Sam gets hurt, you better remember that I was a cop. I still know how to hide a body!” Jakob warned with Darrell nodding.
“And I'm a doctor. No one will even know what killed you!”
“Awww. Protective Daddies are just the cutest.” Josh added with a dreamily sigh, while Ray said from the doorway, “Who is getting killed now?”
“Our Daddies want to kill Uncle Des,” I said, looking from Jakob to Des and Darrell. They were just kidding, right? I didn´t want to find out and have to spend the whole party in the corner. I took a few steps closer to Daddy and hugged him. “I won't run, I promise, Daddy.”
“My sweet boy.” Jakob kissed me on the nose and smiled. “This is supposed to be fun. Just be careful, okay? And don´t get any ideas. The rule still applies. If you hurt yourself while running or playing with Des and Josh, you will spend all day tomorrow in the corner.”
“I don't want to interrupt, but where should I put the cake?” Ray asked behind us, and I turned around, trying to get a glance at the cake.
“Put it on the table in the kitchen. There are already plates and silverware.”
“Can I see the cake, Daddy?” I asked, looking up at Jakob, while Josh and Des started some sort of Wrestling fight, with Darrell watching them closely.
“Of course, Peanut. It's a special cake. I think you'll love it.” Daddy took my hand and led me to the kitchen, where Ray just finished putting it on the table and opened the box. I stepped up and gasped when I saw it. It was nearly three feet high with three tiers. The tiers have different shades of blue icing, but the best feature had to be the cute looking sea animals. There were different sorts of fishes, a sweet looking turtle, and even a dolphin.
“Wow, Ray. This looks amazing!” Jakob said, while he stepped up behind me and hugged my back to his chest.
“You wanted a special, cute ocean cake. You got one.” Ray nodded at my Daddy, and then he smiled at me. “Happy housewarming, Buddy.”
“Th-Thank you, Ray.” I couldn´t stop staring at the cake. I kept finding new things that caught my eye. It was so cute and the best cake I'd ever seen or had in a long while. Of course, Ray had known that because he reached out and gently squeezed my shoulder.
“After what you told me about your parents, I figured that you hadn't had a real birthday cake in years. That´s why I may have gone a little overboard with it.”
“It's… It's amazing. Thank you, Ray.” I wiggled a little until Daddy released me and nervously stepped up to Ray. “Can I hug you? I mean, I know that you´re my therapist, but…”
“Aw, stop it, Buddy, and just come here.” And with that, I found myself almost smothered in a real bear hug. I squeaked when he hugged me tightly and tried to turn my head so I could breathe. But he let go of me when Andrew called out in the hallway.
“What the hell is that?” He must have been in charge of the door, and someone else had arrived. Alec and Matt.
“It´s a present,” Alec said, and I turned towards my Daddy.
“He came!”
“Yes, he did, Peanut. As I told you months ago, he's your friend. And not your Boss anymore.”
“But…” Blushing, I looked down at my costume. I knew that he must know. But knowing and seeing it were two different things. Jakob gently pulled me into a hug again.
“We spoke a lot this week, so don't worry.” Then Jakob laughed. “And who knows. He may find something that he doesn´t realize he's missing.” Daddy whispered and winked at me.
“What?” I looked up at Jakob, but curiosity won when I heard Matt´s strained voice.
“Dammit, Andrew, just tell us where to put it!”
“And please, before my back snaps,” Alec moaned.
“What the hell?” Jakob whispered behind me, and I giggled when I heard him swear. Daddy tapped my butt lightly to remind me that only he was allowed to swear, then he went into the hallway. It was apparent Daddy had no idea about what the present could be either. I followed him and saw my former boss, Alec, and Jakob's former partner, Matt, carrying something big and bulky, looking into the living room. There was a blanket over it.
“What the f…fairy is that?” I could hear Josh gasp when he spotted the last of our guests. The commotion at the door had drawn everyone into the living room. We all stood around, looking at the monster thing. Judging by the outlines, it was some sort of box at least three feet long and maybe a foot and a half tall. Both Alec and Matt put it on the floor in the middle of the room.
“Ah, here’s is the special boy,” Matt said and grinned at me. I only glanced at him and looked back at the thing.
“What is that?” Even Des asked with a frown.
“We thought that a special boy deserves a special gift.” Alec Weston said, smiling at me. “I hated it when I got your notice because you were one of my best nerds, but I wish you luck for the future, Samuel. And just because I´m not your boss anymore doesn´t mean that I can´t be your friend. So, Matt and I came up with the, hopefully, perfect gift for you.”
“A kid's coffin?”
“Joshua!” Darrell admonished Josh, who blushed and shrugged his shoulders. But Matt and Alec only laughed.
“No. It's not a kid's coffin. It's a special home.” Alec explained. I looked at him.
“A home?” I looked from Alec to Jakob, but he seemed to be as confused as I was. “A home for who or what?”
“For someone special.” With that, Matt pulled off the blanket, and I stared at a fully equipped tank. But there was no water in it. Instead, there was a shallow pan and loose litter on the ground. There were rocks with a little cave underneath and some tree bark, which also could be caves. But what gave it away was the light bulb hanging from the ceiling in one corner. I gasped and started to cry when I realized what kind of home Matt had brought.
“Oh my god.”
“What? What is it?” Jakob sounded so worried, but I couldn't answer him. I was too overwhelmed with what Matt and Alec were implying. And then someone else spoke up behind us.
“He just realized, whose home this is going to be.”

br /> Everyone in the room turned around to look at our new guest. In the doorway stood a tall guy with dark hair and kind, brown eyes. There was a massive smile on his face, and he held a box in his hands.
“Caden!” Jakob said, totally surprised by the sound of his voice. “What are you doing here?”
“I kind of invited myself after everyone kept telling me about this party.” Then Caden chuckled. “And I had a gift I needed to drop off after Matt, Alec, and I talked.”
“Oh my gosh,” I said again, my eyes settling in on the box he was holding. It was the Victims' Rights Lawyer Jakob talked to about a job. But right now, that wasn't important. What was important was the box he was holding. “You don't… you didn't… Is that what I think it is?”
“It is. Why don't you come here and have a look?”
I rushed over to Caden, still crying and unable to stop the tears. Carefully Caden lifted the lid of the box, and I sobbed. There, in the box, was a turtle. And it was mine. “It´s a Terrapene Carolina Carolina.”
“A what?” I heard Jakob saying behind me.
“It's an Eastern Box Turtle!” I couldn't take my eyes off it. It was so beautiful. “Is it a girl or a boy?”
“It's a boy,” Caden said, laughing, while he handed me the box. I held it like the most precious thing in the world. And to me, it was.
“You got him a… turtle? Like a real one?” Jakob asked, and I could hear Alec and Matt laughing.
“Come on. It’s the perfect gift for a boy who loves turtles.” Alec said.
“Oh my god.” I heard Daddy groan, but I didn't care. I got a turtle, a real live turtle. And he would be the most spoiled turtle on the earth.
“I´m going to name him Tate.”
“Triple T!” Josh exclaimed, laughing and I turned around to laugh with him, while everyone looked at us like we were crazy. And maybe we were because we named him after Josh's favorite Action Hero. XXX. Tate, the turtle, aka TTT. It was perfect. Carefully I lifted Tate out of his box and put him into his new home. It took him a few seconds, but after a while, he showed his head, and I squealed.
“Hi, Tate! I´m your Daddy!”
“I want to be a Daddy too!” Josh said behind me, and I could hear Darrell groan. “What about fish? I would be the best Fish Daddy in the world. I could feed them and play with them and…”
“You already have a virtual aquarium lamp. There are lots of fish in there.”
“I mean real ones!” Now Josh whined. “Sam got a real turtle! I want real fish!”
“You have no idea how much I hate you all right now.” Darrell moaned, but his voice didn't hold any anger, and I guessed by the end of the week, Josh would have his aquarium. But that didn’t matter. I was too busy watching Tate explore his new home. And that was what it would be. His home. Tate, me, and Daddy.
After all the excitement surrounding Tate had died down, Ray and Des started to serve the cake. Everyone got a piece, and since Ray and Des were serving Josh and I got extra-large portions. We were all sitting around the living room eating when Caden piped up.
“Oh, Jakob, I thought you and Sam would like an update on the last case you worked together. Do you remember Luke Lennox?”
That case still hurt him, so yeah, he knew Luke. Oh, I found that nasty video. Wow. That video started the whole Curtis ordeal. I listened carefully to see what had happened and how Luke was doing.
Daddy nodded his head. “Yeah, I remember that poor boy. I sent you to help him. Why what happened?”
“Luke’s three assailants have been arrested and arraigned. They are now awaiting a trial. The DA is refusing to offer any plea deals because of rock-solid evidence that you found Sam.” He nodded at me, and I felt a blush rise on my cheeks and ducked my head.
Matt chimed in. “Yeah, Sam, all the evidence you found help put those guys away. Way to go, buddy!”
Josh came over and threw his arm around my shoulders and squeezed. “Way to go, partner,” he whispered in my ear.
“What about Luke. Is he ok? Does he need anything?” Daddy asked.
“I think he is doing well. I know he is in weekly therapy sessions.” Caden looked over to Ray and winked. “I am helping him get some possible restitution from the assault, and he is trying to sort out his life. But you should look him up and connect with him. He was a bit hurt when he didn’t hear from you, Jakob.”
“Yeah, with all the crap that went down, we were not in a good place. I would love to see Luke and introduce him to Sam. Will you do me a favor and let Luke know Sam, and I will be at The Rainbow Room next Tuesday at around 1 PM, and he is welcome to join us. Sound good?” Daddy looked in my direction, and I smiled and nodded. It would be great to meet Luke and see how he was.
“No worries. I’ll take care of it,” Caden said.

Hours later, it was time to say goodbye to everyone. I hugged Alec, Matt, and Caden extra tight because they gave me Tate. Then it was time to say goodbye to Darrell and Josh. Hesitating for a second, I hugged Darrell first and then hugged Josh. “See you later, Alligator!”
“After a while, Crocodile!” Josh replied, laughing.
“Be sweet, Parakeet.”
“Give a hug, Ladybug!”
“See ya soon, Raccoon!”
“Out the door, Dinosaur!”
“Take care, Polar bear!”
“Blow a Kiss, Goldfish!” When Josh couldn't come up with another one, I laughed. “I won!”
“You got a turtle! You're the winner of the whole day.” Josh hugged me and kissed me goodbye. When I closed the door behind them, I turned around and saw Jakob stand right behind me. “Hi, Daddy.”
“Hi, Baby.” Jakob smiled and opened his arms for me. Without thinking twice, I rushed forward and threw myself into his arms. “It was a great party, wasn't it?”
“The best! And we'll remember it for the next forty or fifty years.”
“How so?” Jakob asked, while he led me back into the living room, where Tate was munching on some salad.
“Because that's how long a turtle can live. Even longer if they live in a good environment.”
“Then, I just have to make sure to have the best environment.” I turned to look at Daddy, and he laughed. “As long Tate is around, you will be, and I don’t want to spend another day without you. For the rest of my life.”
“Me, too Daddy.” We kissed, and when it ended, I looked at Tate again. “Can he sleep in our bed?”
“Absolutely not!”
“But he´s going to be lonely!”
“I'm not having sex with you when Tate is watching us!”
I thought about that for a moment. “Good night Tate. Your Daddies are going to have sex now.”

“Do you want your Daddy to give you special rubbies?”
“Yes, please, Daddy. I´ve been so good.” Adrian wiggled his ass and grinned. “I´ve been the bestest boy ever.”
His Daddy laughed.
“Yeah, you were good today.”
With a sigh, I saved the document and closed the window. Today was one of those days, where writing cute and mushy Age play stories only made me sad. I loved writing these stories, and I needed the distraction that only my alter ego, Little Boy Blue, could give me. My main job was writing dark and twisted psychological thrillers. Researching and writing those books did not make for a happy mindset. However, writing sweet books all about Age play was light and cheerful, and balanced me.
Lately, I had been feeling so jealous of my Little characters because they all got what I so desperately wanted. A Daddy who loved, cherished, and adored them. In my books, every Little got his perfect Daddy. But for me? Nope, not gonna happen. I would never find a Daddy. I am too damaged, and Daddies didn´t want damaged Little Boys. They wanted a perfect boy. My research always showed Daddies and Boys without issues. No matter what I searched for, I never found any proof of a Daddy with a broken Little Boy. I sh
ould have written a Daddy/Little book about my situation, but I had no experience. It would not be a good book. Maybe I could write it when I found my Daddy. Nope, I was not going there. I shook my head and was not getting my hopes up.
Charlie, my cat, seemed to sense my sadness because he got up from his usual place on my lap and nudged my chin with his head. He was the only one in my life who didn’t notice how broken I am, and whose love was unconditional. Well, That’s not true. There was my cat, my Auntie Ava, and my publisher, Owen Walker, who has been my friend since college. And the truth is, they are the only people in my life. Okay, there were four if I counted Ava’s boyfriend Miles in. Woohoo, I had four people that cared about me.
It was pathetic and sad. But that was my life. An author who lived a hermit life tucked away in my apartment, having his groceries delivered and never going out. As if Auntie Ava had read my mind, a message popped up on my computer.
Auntie: It's Wednesday
Sighing, I scratched Charlie’s head and gently tried to get him to lay down again so I could reply.
ME: Wow, Auntie, that’s great. That means that it's the middle of the week, and tomorrow is Thursday. Are we going to start on my colors tomorrow?
Auntie: Don’t brat me, young man! It means that it's Daddies and Littles night at the Rainbow Room, smartass.
ME: I know. You´ve told me for the last 3 billion Wednesdays.
Auntie: And you're still at home and not going.
ME: How’s Europe?
Miles, Auntie’s boyfriend, had taken her for a trip through Europe, and as far as I knew, they were somewhere in Italy by now. They were planning on ending the tour in Paris, where Miles planned to propose. And she had no idea. Miles had told me when he asked for my blessing. He had my most profound respect after that. Not only because he accepted Ava as the woman she was, but also because he embraced me as his family as well.
Auntie: You're smart enough to use Google or Wikipedia if you want to know something about Europe, sweetie.
Auntie: And you're still at home and not going.
