"I am very happy to announce that Jase MacKenzie, who, as you all know is the real worker at the Foundation, will be the new head of the Sherwood Foundation. I know I am leaving things in very capable hands and I look forward to attending next year's ball as an honoured guest." Peter turned and shook Jase's hand. "Would you care to say a few words, Jase?"

Kyle watched as his boyfriend stepped up to the microphone. He looked nervous, but he stood tall and gave his gorgeous, dimple inducing grin. "Thank you for the kind words, Peter. The Sherwood Foundation is only as strong as it is due to the hard work and dedication you have put in. Personally, I would just like to say that I would not be half the man I am today if it weren't for your guidance, leadership, and mentorship over the years, going right back to high school. So, thank you for all that you have done. I hope I can do you proud."

Jase's gaze flitted around the room. "Now please, sit back and enjoy your meal. On behalf of the Sherwood Foundation, thank you for coming tonight and have a safe and merry Christmas." With another smile, Jase left the stage with Peter. It took him a few minutes to make his way back to their table, as he was stopped and given congratulations by several members of the crowd.

Kyle stood when he reached him and gave him a kiss on the cheek. "Congratulations, darlin'. Why didn't you say anything earlier?"

Before Jase could answer, his parents were at his side, pulling him into a hug and asking the same question. Jase returned their hugs and then motioned for everyone to sit down. When they were all seated, Jase took a deep breath. "I haven't said anything about Peter stepping down and me taking over because I've been trying to talk him out of it for the last few months. However, as you know, when he sets his mind to something, he rarely budges. The paperwork was all finalised a couple of days ago. I officially take over on the first of January." He took a good swallow of champagne from his glass on the table and looked around at everyone.

"That's great news, Jase. I know you'll do a great job." Kyle ran a hand down Jase's back. His boyfriend gave him a grateful smile.

"Well, at least you'll have a better income now," Matt commented from across the table where he was sitting with Kara, his date for the evening.

"Matthew James MacKenzie, that was uncalled for," their mother Sharon admonished. "Life is not about how much money you make or have. What Jase does with the Foundation is to be admired." Matt had the grace to look ashamed, especially when Kara nudged him and nodded pointedly at Jase.

"Sorry, Jase." He smiled at his brother. "The Foundation is better for both you and Peter being there. You have kick-ass business skills and I know a lot of people benefit from them."

"It's okay, Matt. I know you like the prestige your job brings you. I just prefer the behind the scenes work." Jase smiled back at his brother.

"Are you going to be hiring more staff then, Jase, seeing as you’re taking over?" Sarah asked.

Kyle gave her a mock glare, "Don't even think of applying for any role Jase may have going, Mrs Lawson. You have a perfectly good job waiting for you at BEC." The group at the table laughed as Sarah poked her tongue out cheekily at her boss.

"Oh, you have no worries there, babe," Jase assured him. He leaned back in his chair and rested his hand on Kyle's thigh. "We tried working together a few years ago and found we’re better not working together."

Sarah nodded her agreement. "Yeah, Jase is so bossy." The table erupted in laughter. Mike kissed her cheek, "Yes pot. Have you met kettle?" Sarah glared at her husband for a second before succumbing to laughter herself.

"So, are you going to take on more staff, Jase?" Kyle asked him.

"Yes. We’re going to have a bit of a restructure. I'll take on a full-time person as my assistant and then I’m going to set up a programme for two or three university students to come in and learn about how a non-profit organisation works. With the new corporate partnership programme we are implementing next year, we will need more help."

"I like the sound of this partnership thing. I would like BEC to be involved." Kyle was rewarded with a mega-watt grin.

"That would be great, babe. I'll make sure to get you the information."

Kyle squeezed the hand resting on his thigh. Jase winked at him and inched his hand up the inside of Kyle's trouser leg. Kyle glared at him and stopped the hand from moving any further. Before Jase could try again, the waitstaff arrived at their table to serve their meals. With a final wink, Jase removed his hand and turned his attention back to the table.

A few hours later, the evening began to wind down. They had enjoyed a beautiful three course meal and there had been dancing to the band afterwards. Mike and Sarah had left soon after dinner so they could get home for Sarah to feed Mia. Jase and Kyle were now standing in the lobby saying goodbye to Jase’s parents, Lawrence and Sharon. Kyle had met them a couple of weeks earlier and had found himself welcomed with open arms. Matt and Jessica, Jase's siblings, had also welcomed him, and he had enjoyed the stories of some of the mischief they had got up to as children.

"Now remember, Kyle, you are joining us for Christmas Day," Sharon said as he leaned down to kiss her cheek.

"Yes, ma'am. I wouldn't miss it for anything." He shook Lawrence's hand. "Sir, I look forward to you teaching me about backyard cricket. I hear it's a bit of a tradition on Christmas Day."

"It definitely is. You look like you have a good arm on you. I'll make sure you're on my team." Lawrence chuckled as Matt and Jase protested.

"Dad, you can't start rigging the game. All teams are drawn from the hat to ensure fairness," Matt said.

"Yeah Dad, that's cheating," Jase agreed.

Sharon sighed. "Boys, that's enough." She smiled at Kyle. "Don't let this bickering put you off, Kyle. I am in charge of the team draw and I will make sure it's fair." She turned to her husband. "Time to go, Lawrence. I will see you on Christmas Day. Don't be late."

"Yes, Mum," both Jase and Matt chorused. With a final wave, the MacKenzie family left to catch the waiting taxis and head home.

Kyle turned to his boyfriend. "Ready to go?" he asked. Jase nodded.

"Yes. Let's get out of here."

They walked out of the lobby and found a taxi waiting for them. They climbed in the back and Jase gave his address to the driver. He settled into the leather seat and sat as close as he could, his leg resting against Kyle's. He placed his hand on Kyle's upper thigh.

"Thanks for coming along tonight. Hope you weren't too bored."

"I enjoyed it. I met a lot of interesting people. It wasn't boring at all." He smiled at Jase and dropped his hand onto Jase's exposed knee. Jase's kilt had ridden up slightly and he could feel the hair-roughened skin tickling his palm. He slowly began drawing circles on the warm flesh with his index finger. Jase shifted in his seat beside him and gently squeezed Kyle's thigh with his own hand. Conscious of the taxi driver, Kyle didn't kiss Jase as he wanted to, but leaned close to murmur in his ear, "I hope you haven't forgotten what I said before we left?" Jase shook his head and moved his hand closer to Kyle's groin, fingers just brushing against the cock that was stiffening in his pants. Kyle wanted to move his own hand further along the inside of Jase's knee, but without completely lifting the heavy material and exposing him to the taxi driver, he couldn't. He settled for whispering his plans.

"Good. I hope you're ready, because as soon as we are through the door, I am not going to stop until I'm buried balls-deep in your ass."

Jase's breath hitched as he looked at Kyle with hooded eyes. His tongue flicked out, licking his bottom lip. Kyle's gaze followed the movement and he unknowingly mirrored the action. He was saved from embarrassing himself as the taxi pulled to a stop in front of Jase's house. He waited impatiently for Jase to pay the driver. As soon as Jase stepped from the car, Kyle was reaching for him, dragging him towards the front door. Jase let himself be manhandled, trying to unlock the door while Kyle pressed hot kisses to the back of his neck. Within seconds they were inside. Kyle had Jase pressed against the door the moment it closed behin
d them. He tilted his head and slanted his mouth over Jase's, tongues sliding against each other frantically, tasting each other.

Kyle shrugged out of his tux jacket, letting it drop to the floor. He pushed Jase's jacket off the broad shoulders and began working on the buttons of his dress shirt. He growled impatiently as he fumbled with the tiny disks. Jase's hands came up and stilled his. Kyle moaned as Jase pulled back enough to pant out, "Let me do it. You do yours." Kyle nodded, but then growled out, "Take everything off except for the kilt." Jase smirked at the instruction, but did as Kyle said. Kyle quickly undid his cufflinks and his shirt was soon joining his jacket and Jase's on the carpeted hallway floor. Shoes and socks followed. He undid his belt buckle, desperate to release his aching cock.

He glanced at Jase to find him shucking off his remaining sock. His own hand stilled and then he was back at Jase's mouth, both groaning as their lower bodies ground against each other. He could feel the hard press of Jase's erection. He pulled at the draped material and got his hands on the straining flesh that was pushing against the soft fabric encasing it. Jase grunted and pushed into his hand. He stroked gently, then ran his hands round to the firm ass muscles. He stilled as he encountered bare flesh. Tearing his mouth from Jase's he spun him around and lifted the kilt, bunching the tartan at Jase's waist and baring his naked ass. The bands of the red jockstrap he wore showing off the taut muscle.

"Oh, fuck," he breathed, running his hand across the smooth skin. "If I'd known you were wearing a jockstrap as well, I would have booked a room at the hotel."

In response, Jase braced his hands against the wall and pushed his butt out further towards Kyle. Kyle's hard cock throbbed at the sight. With one hand he started to unzip his pants while reaching round to stroke Jase.

"Please, Kyle. Hurry. I need to feel you inside me," Jase grunted out. Kyle got the button undone and released himself. He stroked them both in unison. At the moan from the man in front of him, he let go and ran his hands down the muscles, separating the cheeks to reveal the tight hole hidden there. Kyle ran his thumb over the opening, pressing against it. Jase ground back against him. "Lube. We need lube." Jase's desperate plea broke through the fog of lust.

He cursed under his breath and looked around for his jacket. Spying it under their discarded shirts he reached for it and quickly found his wallet. Tucked into the leather was a small sachet of lube and a condom. He threw his wallet onto the floor and ripped open the lube. He smeared some around Jase's hole, pushing his finger in as he did. Jase clenched around the thick digit. Kyle moved it in and out, loosening the tight muscle. "That's it, darlin'. Are you ready for my cock?" He pressed hot, open mouthed kisses on the smooth expanse of Jase's bare back.

  "Fuck. Yes."

Kyle tore open the condom wrapper and eased it onto his leaking dick. Using what was left of the lube, he smeared himself and then got into position. "Ready, darlin'?" Jase dropped a hand from the wall and reached back to pull at Kyle's thigh. Kyle nudged the head of his cock against Jase's hole. He felt Jase take a deep breath and as he exhaled, Kyle slowly pushed his way into his body. Both men groaned as Kyle slowly sank into the hot channel. Jase returned his hand to the wall and braced himself again as Kyle began to thrust his hips in a steady rhythm. Kyle reached around and pushed the fabric of the jockstrap to one side, pulling Jase's leaking cock into his hand and stroking him. The hallway echoed with their moans and the sound of slapping flesh as Kyle's thrusts got faster and harder.

"Not going to last long," he ground out, feeling his balls begin to tighten.

Jase's hand covered the one stroking his cock, tightening the hold Kyle had on him. "Harder, babe. I need it harder. Make me come, please."

Kyle gave in to his body's needs and he slammed into Jase. The arm holding them up against the wall gave out and he pushed Jase's chest against the wall. Two more thrusts and his body tightened, the hot sweet rush of release sweeping through him. He groaned into the sweat-covered neck in front of him, his hand still tugging at Jase's hard cock. He felt Jase's breath hitch and his own cock, still buried in Jase's ass, was squeezed tight as hot cum covered their clasped hands. He loosened his hold and Jase's hand fell away. He gently stroked the sensitive flesh, teasing the last of Jase's orgasm out of his shuddering body.

Slowly their breathing returned to normal and Kyle eased his softening cock from Jase's body. Jase turned around and captured Kyle's mouth in a soft, warm kiss.

"Next time book the hotel room."

Kyle grinned at the sated man leaning against him. "Definitely. Then we can sneak away between the main course and dessert."

"I like that idea. So, did it meet your expectations?" Jase asked him, looking gorgeously dishevelled and thoroughly fucked.

Kyle frowned at him, pulling up his pants that had bunched around his thighs. He hadn't even managed to get them fully off. "What, the dinner?"

"No. The fucking a man in a kilt fantasy you had?" Jase chuckled back at him.

Kyle smirked at him. "It did, but to be sure, we may have to do it again sometime."

"That can be arranged." Jase took his hand. "Come on, let's get out of these clothes and get comfortable."

"Can the jockstrap be arranged again too?" Kyle asked with a smirk.

"Sure can. I have a couple of them so just let me know when." Jase winked at him.

Kyle ran his eyes down the half-naked body. "Give me half an hour." With his own wink at the gaping man, he disappeared into the bathroom.

  Chapter 17

Jase held onto the ferry rail, the boat gently nudging against the dock. The ride from Auckland city centre to Waiheke Island in the Hauraki gulf was only an hour long and Jase had enjoyed sitting in the hot summer sun on the deck, watching the sailing boats and pleasure craft heading off on their own adventures. He was meeting Kyle and his family here for a short weekend break.

The Fosters, along with Kyle's best friend Luke, had arrived two days earlier. Kyle had booked them all into one of the boutique wineries that also had luxury accommodations. Kyle and his family had headed over the day before to recover from their jet lag and allow them all time to catch up. Jase was joining them today and would stay for a few days. The group was then returning to the city on Tuesday.

Jase slowly inched forward as the large crowd of passengers disembarked. The small island was popular with locals and tourists all year round, but even more so on this first weekend of the new year. Kyle and Jase had spent Christmas Day with Jase's family and most of the time between that holiday and New Year's Eve together exploring the beaches across the city. They had seen the new year in together with their friends at a restaurant in the city. Jase knew he was totally in love with his Texan and planned to tell him soon. He was also planning to tell his family about his lottery win and had called a family meeting for Wednesday. His birthday was a week away and he needed to come clean with everyone that mattered in his life before then.

He finally made it onto the dock, and hitching his duffle bag onto his shoulder, and made his way up to the road. Searching amongst the people milling about waiting for buses and taxis, he finally caught sight of Kyle, the sun glinting off his hair making the dark copper highlights stand out. He walked up to where the grinning man was leaning against a rental car. Dressed similarly to Jase in cargo shorts and a light blue t-shirt, he was attracting a fair share of admiring glances from both women and men, and Jase felt a sense of pride and possession when Kyle's gaze never wavered from his. And as soon as he was close enough, Kyle reached for him and gave him a soft kiss of welcome.

"Hey, darlin'. Aren't you a sight for sore eyes," Kyle drawled, letting his gaze wander up and down Jase's body. A wave of heat washed over Jase that had nothing to do with the midday sun.

"Hey, yourself. I missed you too." Jase linked their fingers together. He really had missed seeing his man and he hoped they got some time alone together, and soon. "How’s your family?" he asked as they climbed into the car.

"They’re okay. A bit tired, bu
t settling in well." Kyle carefully negotiated the car out of the busy carpark and turned towards the vineyard where they were staying. "They’re looking forward to meeting you." He gave a Jase a quick grin before turning his attention back to the road.

"I'm looking forward to meeting them too." Jase reached over and rested his hand on Kyle's thigh. Kyle squeezed his hand and for the rest of the journey they made small talk.

Arriving at their accommodation, Jase was relieved to see that he and Kyle were in a small private cabin. Kyle pointed out the cabins his parents, and sister and Luke were staying in. They were meeting for lunch in half an hour, so Jase quickly freshened up, but not before giving Kyle the welcoming kiss he hadn't been able to give him at the public dock. He laced his fingers through Kyle's hair and held his head still, devouring his mouth. Kyle groaned and pulled Jase closer with his hands on his hips. "We have to go, darlin'," he muttered against Jase's mouth.

Jase quirked an eyebrow at him. "Rain check?" Kyle nodded. With one more quick peck to the lips so tantalisingly close to his, Jase sighed and moved back. "Let's go then."

They entered the small restaurant where Kyle led him to a group of people sitting on the sunny patio area. As they got closer, he saw a young woman grin at them. She had the same dark hair and blue eyes that Kyle had, but her features were finer. She was wearing a pretty flowered sun dress that showed off her trim figure and her long hair was lying softly across her shoulders. There was a handsome, red haired man next to her.

"You found him then, big brother," she commented, her soft voice lilting with the Texas accent Jase found so sexy from her brother.

The other members of the group turned their way, with the two men standing to greet them. Kyle replied to his sister with a grin. "Of course I found him. Everyone, this is Jase MacKenzie. Jase, this is my father Edward, my mother Heather, sister Chloe and my best friend, Luke Watkins." Jase shook hands with the men and nodded towards the ladies.
