Best Kase Scenario (Hyde Series Book 2) Page 16

by Layla Frost

I heard his zipper go down and the crinkle of a wrapper before feeling the head of his cock press against me a moment later. He pushed in, taking me up to my tip toes.

Thrusting in and out, he caressed up my back to my shoulders and down my arms. His hands covered mine as he moved harder.

I tilted my head to the side as he pressed his lips to my neck.

He wrapped an arm around my chest, pushing his hand into my top. Rolling my nipple between his fingers, he ground into me.

“So deep in your tight pussy, and still I wanna get closer,” he whispered against my ear, his movements becoming brutal. “Can’t get enough of you.”

My head flew back, hitting his shoulder as I came undone. Shattered into a million pieces, his words swirled around me like a physical embrace.

I’m drowning, caught in a current I don’t know how to fight.

I'm not sure I even want to.

“Never enough,” he whispered. Pounding into me, he groaned low and deep as he came.

I stood still for a minute, my knees locked as I let the feeling of weightless happiness wash over me.

Kase trailed kisses down my spine as he pulled out.

Turning around, I grabbed my discarded clothes. “At the risk of further inflating your head,” I started, pausing to hop as I pulled my pants and panties back on. “You’re really good at that. Like, really, really good at it.”

He grinned, tossing the condom out and righting his clothes. “I’m glad you approve.”

I looked up from my shoes. “That said, we should probably do it again later. You know, just to keep you in practice.”

  “Is that so?”

Biting my lip, I couldn’t stop my grin. “Definitely.”

Kase rushed me, picking me up as I burst out laughing.

Wrapping my arms around his shoulders and my legs around his waist, I kissed him, teasing my tongue along his lips. When his tongue met mine, I sucked it in.

He groaned, weaving his hand into my hair and holding me to him.

I kissed him again before pulling away. “I’m really happy,” I whispered.

  “I’m glad,” he whispered back.

  “You make me happy.”

  His face softened. “Ipo.”

  “I’ve gotta get going.”

His smile turned playful. “Then hold on tight.”

Shifting me around to his back, he held me under my legs as he ran through the building and out the door.

  I laughed the whole time.

  Beelzebub and Go-Go Gadget Arms

  Harlow

“Low Low!” Hadley yelled, running through the house. “We’re making cookies! Mama said you can bring some to Kase ‘cause he looks like a man that’d like cookies.”

Picking Hads up, I bent her upside down and blew raspberries on her stomach, much to her screaming delight. I lowered her back to the ground. “I bet you’re right about the cookies.”

“C’mon!” She grabbed my hand and pulled me into the kitchen where Abbey and my mom worked.

“Hi sweet girl,” Mom greeted, handing me a warm chocolate chip cookie. “How was school?”

“Good. I got a lot done.”

And had a lot done to me.

To distract myself from my pervy thoughts, I popped the cookie into my mouth. The chocolatey goodness melted, and I closed my eyes. “Mmm, Mom, these are so delicious!”

“Oh good! They’re a new recipe I found.”

“Seriously a winner,” I said, reaching for another only to have my hand smacked. “Hey, what’s up with that?”

“Those are for you to bring to Kase.”

“Oh, I see how it is. Picking him over your own daughter. No, no, that’s cool.”

Mom rolled her eyes. “Will you see him today?”

“I popped in and saw him already.”

  And fucked him.

Ignoring my one-track mind, I continued. “But I think I’m seeing him again after the station tonight.”

  And fucking him again.

Shhhh. Quiet perv, you’re gonna get me in trouble!

My mom started packing the cookies into a plastic container. “Bring them with you. Did you see Piper? How’s she doing?”

Abbey got up to refill her coffee, fixing me a cup.

Sipping it, I filled my mom in on Piper and the impending opening. “She asked me today if you guys wanted to come.”

“Really?” Mom asked, her face lighting up. “That’s so sweet of her. Would you be okay with it?”

“Yeah, of course. I can introduce you to everyone. Just no embarrassing stories.”

“Okay, so no stories at all, check. I’ll only bring the pictures.” She winked at me.

“Will there be cupcakes?” Hadley asked, clearly unimpressed with meeting my friends.

“I bet there will be lots of them. And Piper makes the best I’ve ever had.”

She grinned and nodded. “Then I’ll come too.”

“You’re a mess, baby.” Mom reached for Hadley’s sticky hand. “Let’s get you cleaned up.”

As they left the room, I leaned in close to Abbey. “She seems to be doing better.”

“She is,” Abbey whispered back, her face showing her elation.

“Is she pushing herself too much?”

She shook her head. “I’ve been watching. She rests when she needs to, but she’s really doing well. Happier, too.”

Tears filled my eyes. “That’s good. Thanks, Abbey.”

She hugged me tight. “Don’t let your mom see you crying, she’ll make you stay home.”

“True. I’ve gotta get ready anyways.”

Humming, I headed to my room, letting more of my internal boxes collapse.

  *******

My good mood continued through my afternoon at the station. As I packed my bag up after, I pulled my phone out to text Kase.

Me: I’m done. Want me to drive to your place?

  Kase: Be there in five.

“You got a second, Harlow?” Gary, the anchor, said from the doorway.

“Of course. Is there an issue?”

He shook his head, leaning on the frame and keeping his distance.

Because of Deborah’s frequent accusations of inappropriate relationships and favoritism, Gary was extra cautious when it came to the female staff. It was unfair to everyone since he’d never been inappropriate.

That I knew of, at least.

“Your internship is up in a couple weeks, correct?” he asked.

  I nodded.

  “Have you reapplied?”

  “For the fall, yes.”

His brows lowered as he stood up fully. “Not the summer?”

“No, that group has already been picked.”

Looking past me, he rubbed a hand across his square jaw. “I’ll have to make sure Andrew puts you first on the waitlist,” he said aloud, though more to himself than me. Looking back at me, he smiled. “You’ve got a knack for this, Miss Cooper. You’ve worked harder than any of the other interns, though your natural skills already carry you far. I hope to see you back here before fall.”

Don’t happy dance while he’s still in the room.

No screaming or high-fiving a million angels, either.

“Thank you,” I said, trying to keep my voice even.

He nodded once before walking away.

Grabbing my stuff, I headed for the door, only to have Deborah block my way.

“Oh Fire Crotch, don’t tell me you believe his lines.” She slowly shook her head. “Do you think you’re the first one he’s said all that to? Like you’re a special little snowflake?”

“Sorry I can’t chat, I’m running late.” I kept my smile on my face, refusing to play her games.

“You won’t be here much longer. And, since I have a lot to do with it, you won’t be here ever again. That means Gary thinks you’re fair game now.” She shrugged, her face twisting in an unflattering way. “Or still.”

  Before I c
ould lose my cool, Deborah looked to the side, her expression smoothing out as her eyes widened. Shoulders going back, she pushed her chest out.

“Hi, can I help you?” she cooed, her voice so sickeningly sweet it rotted my brain just hearing it.

“Yeah,” a familiar voice answered. “I’m looking for my girlfriend.”

My heart stuttered and paused before kicking into overdrive.

“Hey, baby,” I said, squeezing past Deborah. “Ready?”

Kase grinned down at me. “Digging the skirt, ipo.”

Deborah cleared her throat. “Aren’t you going to introduce us?”

Baby, meet Satan. Beelzebub, meet Kase.

“Deborah, this is Kase. Kase, this is Deborah, one of the anchors.”

Kase lifted his chin to her, before turning to me. “We’ve gotta run if we wanna grab dinner.” Putting his arm around my shoulder, he turned me toward to door.

“Come back and visit again,” Deborah called out. “Harlow is such a loved member of our family here, so you’re always welcome.”

“A—” was all I got out before Kase’s palm covered my mouth, muffling my words. “Lufft mmmba fuff fu fmmlllyyy maaa aasssshhhh.”

When we got outside, he removed his hand. “What was that?”

“‘A loved member of the family’ my ass. That bitch is the worst. She’s shady, and salty, and bitter. Did you know she’s got some of the crew calling me ‘Fire Crotch’ behind my back?”

“Doesn’t make sense since you’re bare down there.”

“It’s not like I’m about to lift my skirt and show them that!”

Kase’s grip on me tightened as he scowled. “Don’t even joke about anyone seeing what’s mine.”

  “Don’t you mean mine?”

He shook his head once, his body tight.

A weird sense of comfort settled around me, intermingling with my happiness.

Lowering my guard with Kase meant I felt more vulnerable. Exposed. His possessive words might have only been a step or two above a grunting caveman, but they reassured me that he’d never abuse my trust.

I shook my shoulders out before wrapping my arm around his muscular waist. “That’s done, and we’ve got the night ahead of us. What do you want for dinner?”

  “Mexican?”

“I thought you just had that with the guys for lunch yesterday?”

“I did.” He lowered his voice, his eyes darkening as he looked at me. “But I’m in the mood to taste salt, tequila, lime, and my woman.”

  “Mexican it is,” I breathed.

  *******

“You’re freaked,” Kase said later that night as we walked into his room.

After a hilarious dinner, multiple margaritas, and an intense makeout session in the car, I hadn’t expected conversation.

  “About?” I asked.

“When Rhys said something about us being together last week. You freaked.”

  “No, I—”

“Freaked. Your eyes went all wide and you looked like you were about to leap over the bar and run, screaming into the night.”

  “I, uhh, saw a ghost?”

“And if it weren’t for that fake bitch pissing you off, I’m betting me calling you my girlfriend would’ve wigged you out, too.” Sitting on the edge of the bed, he pulled me so I stood between his spread legs. His hands cupped my ass as he looked up at me. “Unless this is the longest, most extended one-night stand ever, I think you get that I’m in this.”

  “I’m not freaked.”

He gave me a look that said he didn’t believe me. “Harlow.”

“Fine, I can get a bit… edgy,” I admitted. “Sometimes I feel like you’re this strong current I’m caught in.” I pushed his dreads back. “But that’s a good thing. Without you taking control, I’d still be on the beach, wishing I was in the water. Too scared to dive in.” I smiled, warmth and happiness spreading through my body like it was part of my veins. “Now I’m swimming along with you. Only thing I felt today was excitement at seeing you.”

His eyes were intense as he looked at me, his lips tilting up. “Yeah?”

I leaned down, kissing the side of his mouth. I trailed my lips across his cheek to his ear. “Well, that and turned on when you called me yours.”

Before I could blink, his hands at my ass moved under my skirt, pushing it up around my waist and tugging my panties off. He leaned back, taking me with him so I straddled his thighs.

Unzipping his jeans, he shoved his boxers down, his cock jumping free. Yanking my hips up, my pussy rubbed against the hard length of it.

  “Condom,” I muttered.

  He cursed. “Drawer.”

Crawling forward, I tried to reach for the drawer.

Damn my lack of Go-Go-Gadget arms!

“Fuck, stay like that,” Kase ordered, scooting his body down the bed until his head was under my spread legs. Gripping my thighs, he pulled me until my pussy was settled over his mouth.

His tongue moved in me, my body rocking against it.

“I want you,” I moaned. After building up the willpower I needed, I tumbled off him and grabbed a condom. Tearing it open, I unrolled it on his cock, loving the way he jerked in response to my touch.

Kase gripped me under my knees and tugged, making me drop onto my back. He settled between my spread thighs. “I’m starting to think you’re only using me for my dick.”

I shook my head as he sank into me.

“No?” he asked, lowering his body to mine. He bent his knee, pushing my leg up and surging deeper into me. Weaving his fingers with mine, he planted our hands near my head.

Leaning up the little bit I could, I whispered, “You forgot about your tongue.” I nipped his bottom lip.

I watched up close as his eyes grew amused seconds before his mouth took mine in a searing, bruising kiss.

Kase spent the rest of the night, and a good chunk of the morning, showing me all the things he could do with his dick and his tongue.

And I loved every second of it.

  *******

Saturday night, I pulled into the parking lot near Voodoo. Checking my makeup in the rearview mirror one last time, I got out of the car at the same time as Piper.

“You look freakin’ hot!” she yelled, giving me a hug. “Seriously, I’m way jealous of your legs. And those shoes!”

I laughed. “You’re starting to sound like me.”

“Or Nat,” she said, referring to her dad’s girlfriend who I’d bonded with over our love of all things pretty.

“You don’t have the valley girl thing down enough to be Nat, though.”

Piper laughed before leaning in. “Your eyes look crazy green right now. Are you wearing contacts?”

I shook my head. “It’s the dress.”

My dark green one shouldered wrap dress ended above my knees. When I walked, the slit at the side opened, exposing more of my leg. Paired with rose patterned platform stilettos, I knew my legs looked even longer than usual.

Piper leaned back. “I wish I had cool color changing eyes like that. Has Kase seen you in the dress yet?”

I shook my head. “I’m supposed to call him when we’re done here.” I looked at Piper’s leather pencil skirt and white, lacey crop top. “Has Jake seen you in that?”

She grinned. “If he makes it the whole night without showing up here, I’ll lose the bet.”

“Do I wanna know what the winner gets?”

Her sweet smile turned wicked. “Nope.”

Looping her arm with mine, we walked into Voodoo, bypassing the insane line.

A long, low whistle greeted us as we approached the bar. “Damn, you chicks look hot!” Ray shouted, hopping off her stool at the small reserved table.

“Right back at ya,” I said.

Her bright pink hair was a wild tumble of curls on one side. Since she was trying to grow out the shaved part, the other side was gelled back. Contrasting with her wild personality, her little black dress was understated and subtle.

After some family issues were settled, Piper had found herself with a surplus of the plain dresses she used to wear to her mom’s house.

  She’d wanted to burn them.

Surprisingly, Ray snatched them all up before Piper could get the matches. They were shorter and more fitted on her, and they really did suit her.

After getting our drinks, Ray gave me a know-it-all smile. “Told you so.”

I licked the margarita salt from my lips. “What?”

“You totally had a crush on Kase.”

  “I didn’t then.”

  Piper’s brows lowered. “When?”

“At your wedding,” Ray answered. “She was trying to find out about her man on the DL.”

“Dude, no I wasn’t,” I protested. “I thought he was a total egotistical player. Now I know he’s just got the giant ego going.”

  “You had a crush.”

“Fine,” I admitted, lifting my glass to her. “I kinda did.”

“That’s okay, he’s had a thing for you since the first time he saw you.”

I put my drink down before I dropped it. “Wait, what?”

  “Oh yeah. Giant crush.”

I looked at Piper to see her avoiding my eyes. “Did you know?”

She twisted her ring. “I may have suspected.”

  “Uncool.”

“He asked about you at my birthday party. But when he didn’t make his move, I thought I misread the situation.”

Ray shook her head. “Didn’t you see the way he looked at her?”

I was so wrapped up in what she was saying, I didn’t even complain about them talking about me like I wasn’t there.

  “I never noticed,” Piper said.

“He did. And it wasn’t just an ‘I-need-to-jizz-and-jet’ look, either.” Ray tapped the side of her head. “Think about it. I doubt he’s had a hookup since Harlow started hanging with us.”

My eyes widened as I let that sink in.

Insanely hot, sweet, hilarious Kase went months without sex while we ignored each other?

And kept going without it because I couldn’t stay awake long enough to do anything?
