by Sarah Negovetich

“Lunchtime. Let’s go, girls.” My mother lets the door slide shut behind her and takes off down the street without a backward glance.

I dismiss my thoughts about Mr. Right and scurry after her, Cheryl right beside me. Tomorrow, everything changes and I have to believe Cheryl’s right; it’s going to be magical.

  ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

As always, getting to the end of a book is both a victory and the beginning of the last. Because even though the words are on paper and my work is done, this is really where it all begins.

Because now it's up to you, the reader to love it or hate it. To mold it into you own world and take away the things that are important to you.

So first, thank you fabulous reader for going on the journey and making this book more than just ink on dead trees or pixels on a screen. I may have been the one to create the characters and tell their story, but without readers it's still just something living in my head. I wrote the book and now it's yours. I hope it takes up residence in your soul and creates goodness there.

Thank you to the unsung heroes who take my pile of words and shine them into beauties. Your work and friendship are invaluable to me, Andrea and ER.

Big thanks to my cover designer, Angela Haddon, who created exactly what I wanted before I knew what I was looking for. Also, thanks to Ethan for never blowing smoke up my backside. Every author needs someone who will tell it like it is.

And finally, my perfect family: Nick, Sophia, and Isabella. Thank you for understanding that sitting at my desk staring at my computer is work. Thank you for giving me the time, space, and support to do what I do. Even when that means I smell like three days of forgetting to shower and we have leftovers...again. Love you, mean it.

  ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Sarah Negovetich knows you don't know how to pronounce her name and she's okay with that.

Her first love is Young Adult novels, because at seventeen the world is your oyster. Only oysters are slimy and more than a little salty; it's accurate if not exactly motivational. We should come up with a better cliché.

Sarah divides her time between writing YA books that her husband won’t read and performing on stage at BE Theatre. Her goal in life is to never grow up.
