Running Wild (Hell Ryders MC Book 1)
Page 29
Her gaze went to him again.
“Marry me.”
She let out a small gasp. Her eyes watered. When she whispered, “Yes,” tears drifted out of her eyes.
He smiled.
She leaned down, cupped his cheeks, and pressed her lips to his. “Yes. Yes. Yes.”
He chuckled. “Baby, you wanna see the ring?”
Drawing away from his lips, she nodded. He grabbed the box, pulled it open toward her.
Her eyes widened. Without blinking, more tears drifted down her cheeks. “It’s beautiful, Jace.”
He removed it from the box and placed the diamond ring on her finger.
Her gaze on her hand then met his. “We’re getting married, honey.”
He grinned. “Yeah, baby, we are.”
Her eyes glimmered. “I’m going to be Mrs. Jace ‘Trigger’ Warren. I’m going to be Alyssa Marie Warren.”
Heart tightening in his chest, he took a deep breath, loving the sound of that, loving it more she wanted to take his name.
“Yeah, baby, you are.”
He was the luckiest trailer trash on earth.
Epilogue
Four months later…
Allie descended down the stairs. Her mind on her dress, the beautiful, white, mermaid, lace gown. She couldn’t think of Jace. If she thought of Jace, she’d remember in minutes she would be married to him, and it got her emotional in a very happy way that would make her start crying and ruin her makeup. She knew this, but Mia, Lynn, and Tiff had to remind her every time she let herself think of Jace.
“Allie?”
She turned and met Ty’s gaze. Her hand resting on his elbow, he stood beside her, helping her down the stairs.
“Can’t believe you’re getting married.”
“Me neither, Ty.”
He smiled. They reached the bottom of the staircase. “You make a beautiful bride.”
He told her this multiple times. She’d thanked him multiple times. Right then, she just smiled.
Together, they walked toward the French doors leading to the backyard of her and Jace’s home. He pulled the door open and held it out.
She paused and looked at her brother. “Thank you, Ty.”
His brows drew together.
“If it hadn’t been for you…” Tears hit her eyes. Her voice trailed off.
He shook his head. “Anytime, anyplace, Allie.”
“I love you,” she whispered.
“Love you, too.” He quirked a brow. “Dry them tears.”
She laughed, shakily.
In the backyard under one of the willow trees, stood the white gazebo decorated with roses and calla lilies. An aisle, with rose petals scattered on it, led to it. White chairs lined each side, flowers at the end of each row.
Simple.
Perfect.
She reached the end of the aisle with Ty by her side, forced her gaze toward the front, and caught her first glimpse of Jace, wearing a tie and a tailored, black suit he filled out perfectly. Clean-shaven, his dark hair lightly gelled. Always handsome, she knew this, but Jace in a suit was beyond it. Then she let her gaze meet his.
Again, she couldn’t help it.
Her eyes watered because she saw it.
The way he was looking at her.
It was the way every woman wanted to be looked at.
Like the sun rose and set on her.
****
She was fucking beautiful, so beautiful Trig couldn’t peel his eyes away even if his life depended on it.
She’d always been beautiful, he knew, but fuck him, she looked like a fucking angel in the white fitted dress with her hair loose in soft curls around her.
The moment he saw her at the end of the aisle, his heart squeezed so hard he’d thought it’d take him to his knees. He had to fight his body. More than anything, he wanted to meet her in the middle, take her in his arms, and kiss her.
He couldn’t do that. He had to wait, so while she walked down the aisle with tears in her eyes and a smile on her face, he waited impatiently.
“Who gives this woman to this man?”
“I do.” Army kissed Allie’s cheek and placed her hand in his. Then he took his spot next to him as best man.
Trig said his vows, watching her beautiful face as tears drifted down her cheeks. Wiping them away, he cupped her cheeks. When he finished his vows, he pressed his lips against her forehead.
She waited until he met her stare to say her vows. His whole body filled with warmth until he thought his chest would explode. She cried then, too. He wiped her tears away, smiling. They exchanged rings, and then, finally, they were pronounced husband and wife. He kissed her soft and slow, then hard and rough, ignoring the hooting and hollering.
When he pulled away from her lips, he rested his forehead against hers, locking eyes, and whispered, “I love you, Allie. Always will.”
She smiled. “I love you, Jace.”
He knew she meant it.
It’s how he knew he really was the luckiest trailer trash on earth.
