Altered America

by Ingham, Martin T.

His hobbies include attempting to dissuade the cults that form around him, managing the betting pool on the next Weird Thing, and being a slave to his two cats, Mynx and Sphinx. He currently lives in Ottawa and works as a civil servant for the Canadian government. Rumours that he secretly runs the Canadian government from his nuclear bunker with an android called 'Stephen Harper' as a front have never been substantiated and are merely rumours. Honestly.

He has also met lots of people off the internet and has yet to be murdered by any of them; his cats on the other hand have other ideas. His short stories have appeared in many Martinus Publishing anthologies, and his first book, Snake Oil, will see its first print release later in 2014.

  Ryan McCall

Ryan McCall first became interested in alternate history upon coming across a What If? anthology. He was instantly hooked and delved into as much of the genre as he could, both in printed books and online. He has self-published two books on Amazon, The Nanking War and Not By a Mine. He is currently expanding his writing area into fantasy, with an epic fantasy series currently in progress.

  Sean Menken

Sean Menken is a New Jersey native who now resides in the Washington, D.C. area. He's always been fascinated by the world as it is, but also the world as it could be, explaining a lifelong love of science fiction and history. He holds a Bachelor's degree in History from American University and manages:

He is presently working on his first novel-length work.

One of his most recent stories can be found in the charity anthology Kizuna: Fiction for Japan, and several others appear in Martinus Publishing anthologies. He lives in Japan with his wife and a collection of key chains.

  Jason Sharp

  Cyrus P. Underwood

Cyrus P. Underwood's real name is Richard Anderson. Disabled since age 9, he spends his time writing and reading. He lives in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.

  Dusty Wallace

Dusty Wallace lives in the Appalachians of Virginia with his wife and two sons. He enjoys reading, writing, and the occasional fine cigar. Previous credits include KZine, eFiction, and Existence on Mars (Anassa Anthology).

  Edmund Wells

Edmund Wells was born on a damp Thursday on the Isle of Wight, England. He spent his formative years locked in a wine cellar arguing with crusty Irish philosophers. Using only his wits and a sharpened potato, he escaped by ferry to America, where he was captured by actuaries and forced to work in insurance.

During his rare moments of freedom, Edmund enjoys writing science fiction and fantasy, imitating Belgians, and the occasional philosophical limerick. He maintains a shrine to Monty Python in his basement, where he likes to sacrifice coconuts and is working on a plan to steal Terry Pratchett.

After much begging, Edmund’s story “The Light of Venus” was granted first place in Golden Visions Summer 2011 writing contest, while a modest bribe secured “Neptune Rising” third place in the Winter 2012 edition. Due to a computer error, his ‘weird west’ fantasy “Oasis” won first place in Fantasy Faction’s 2013 Anthology. He is presently working on a novel involving Australian robots.

  Charles Wilcox

Charles Wilcox has lived in Boulder, Colorado all his life. He has always had a passion for history and creating new worlds. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies from American University.

  William R.D. Wood

William R.D. Wood lives in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley in an old farmhouse turned backwards to the road. His profound love of horror and science fiction routinely leads him to destroy the world, whether by alien artifact, zombie apocalypse, or teddy bear.
