Ice In His Veins

For a long while neither of them spoke. She sensed he prepared to say something important and waited. His agitation was apparent in the way he stroked her arm, almost absently.
“Chevelle.” The tone of voice was different than a moment ago.
“Yes?” Nerves stirred in her stomach as she wondered what he would say.
“I…” He coughed, and now she sensed embarrassment on his part. “I’m glad I have them.”
He meant his brothers of course. “I know.”
“They saved me.”
“Arik.”
Tears sprang to her eyes. She had never heard such warmth from him. Well, not until he declared his love for her. He was saying his brothers meant a lot to him although he found it hard to display. Something told her things were going to get better between the three of them, and she hoped Arik would open up to show his brothers he cared.
“Enough of the emotional stuff.” His voice rumbled against the spot behind her ear. He was done baring his soul, and his hands moved to distract her from it as well. “You are mine, and I’m going to demonstrate it—again and again.”
“Y-yes.”
He raised her thigh and pressed forward. Incredibly, it had only taken a few minutes before he was ready for a second round. He eased his dick into her from behind, and she melted.
“Arik.”
“My love?”
“T-take me away.”
“Absolutely!”
