Stephan's Monster [Vampires of Vadin 2] (Siren Publishing Classic ManLove)

“Jade…I’m pretty terrified myself. But I think as long as we’re terrified together, everything will be fine.”
Jayden’s brow pulled together. “Stephan, I’m not sure I’m following your logic.”
“Don’t worry about it.”
Just as Stephan settled against him, Jayden fell back in bed. Squeaking as he dropped, Stephan suddenly found himself sprawled on top of the man. He glared and smacked Jayden’s chest, causing the man to chuckle.
Huffing, he closed his eyes and allowed himself to relax. They still had so much to talk about—to plan for. But right now Stephan just wanted to rest.
“Stephan…” Jayden’s voice was hesitant.
“Yes?”
“Bow…Bow’s a bit different now.”
“Different how?”
“Well, about seventeen to eighteen years different.”
Stephan snapped his eyes open. “What?”
“Well, he’s sort of a child now. I think it’s permanent.”
“Is he okay?”
Jayden appeared surprised by his question. “Yes…I’m pretty sure he’s always been a child. I just couldn’t see it,” he croaked. “He must have been hiding for a long time, alone. I’m not sure how I feel about it. I think it makes me sad. It makes me sad that he suffered. Which is crazy, right? It’s crazy that I feel like I failed him somehow. He’s just another part of me. So…I…”
“It’s not crazy. And Jade, you didn’t fail him. Everyone else did, as everyone else failed you. And maybe, even if you think it’s crazy, or if most people think it is, you can protect him now. You can help him, show him he’s no longer alone. I’ll help you protect him.”
“Thank you.” Jayden’s smile was wobbly. Stephan found it beautiful, yet at the same time heartbreaking.
After returning Jayden’s smile with one of his own, he turned his head and rested his cheek on his hands, closing his eyes once more.
“What if I screw up?”
Blinking in confusion, Stephan asked, “Screw up what?”
“Being a father…I mean, look at me. I don’t exactly exude an aura of…well, I’m scary as fuck. What the hell do I know about raising a child? Our child will probably either hate me or, more likely, be terrified of me.”
“Don’t say that! Our child will love you!” Stephan slapped his chest and glared up at him. “I mean, what’s not to love? So you’re a little bit scary—nobody is perfect. Besides, being scary is a good thing. We’ll never have to worry about them being bullied at school. Not to mention, you’ll be able to protect them from all the people out there who will try to use them for money. They’ll never have to doubt their friends. But the most important thing is that you love them. We’ll both make mistakes, I’m sure, but as long as we love them, we can figure the rest out along the way.”
Jayden’s eyes were narrowed, but they didn’t appear to be focusing on anything.
“Uh…Jade?”
The man blinked and the lost-in-thought look went away. “Why would they go to school?”
“What?” Stephan asked, completely bewildered.
“Our child will not go anywhere near those cesspools. None of them can be trusted! They’ll be tutored like I was. Or, dammit, what’s it called…homeschooled!”
Stephan rolled his eyes. “Well, as you have the overprotective father role down pat, I guess that means I get to be the fun dad.”
“What? Nothing I’ve said is wrong!”
Stephan burst out laughing. “Oh, Jade, you’re not going to survive our child’s teenage years.”
Epilogue
Three months later
Propped up by pillows, Jayden bent and placed a light kiss on Stephan’s stomach. He couldn’t help but smile as he ran his hand over the rounded surface. But a clearing throat had him peering up into Stephan’s face. The man’s arms were crossed, and his bottom lip stuck out.
“Something wrong, honey bunny?” Jayden chuckled.
“I’m not sitting on you nude so you can rub my belly. And while my dick has become increasingly hard to find lately, it’s still there, so get on with it.”
Grinning, he ran his finger along the underside of Stephan’s erect cock. It was pressed against the man’s stomach and dripping pre-cum on Jayden’s bare chest.
Wiggling, the man huffed. “Jade!”
Jayden laughed and sat up. The man squeaked as he slid down and toppled over onto his back, his thighs resting on Jayden’s. Hovering over him, Jayden placed a soft kiss on Stephan’s lips but pulled back when the man tried to deepen it.
“Jade!” he whined.
Ah, his little man was impatient…Stephan had certainly fully embraced his desires over the past few months.
Saying nothing, Jayden glided his hand down Stephan’s stomach and wrapped his hand around the man’s prick. His lover moaned as he gave it a few pumps, but whined in frustration when Jayden quickly released it.
“Jade,” Stephan growled.
The growl turned into a gasp when Jayden slid his finger down Stephan’s tight sack and brushed against the man’s wet bud. He blinked—wet?
Jayden found his finger easily slipped inside. “So that’s what you were doing in the bathroom,” he said, laughing.
“Yes, now hurry up!” Stephan snapped.
“I’m surprised you can still reach.”
Stephan gasped in outrage and narrowed his eyes. But before he was able to utter a single word, Jayden lined up his cock and slowly pushed inside.
“Oh!” His little man cried out as Jayden filled him.
After placing his hands on Stephan’s hips, Jayden gently thrust into him. He let out a groan as the man’s hole clenched. His walls were as scorching as always. Jayden didn’t think he would ever get used to the feeling of being surrounded by him.
Stephan wiggled and moaned, letting out small whimpers of frustration as he tried to increase the pace of Jayden’s thrusts.
“Harder!” Stephan demanded.
Jayden chuckled. “I don’t want to hurt you.”
“This is torture,” Stephan whined pathetically. “Please…I need, Jade.”
The man’s pleas weren’t something Jayden could easily ignore. Against his better judgment, he pumped his hips faster, plunging into Stephan. Stephan moaned loudly in triumph and met his thrusts. His lover’s prick dripped pre-cum on his rounded belly, Stephan’s cock bouncing with each drive of Jayden’s hips. The sight had Jayden’s dick throbbing harder.
Jayden growled, his thrusts turning erratic as he reached between them and rubbed Stephan’s prick. The man moaned loudly, his cock twitching in Jayden’s hand. Stephan began to beg and whimper for more. Each mew of need sent a bolt of pleasure through him.
With one last hard thrust, Jayden cried out and flooded Stephan’s hole. Seconds later, Stephan cried out, as well, his prick jerking, his cum shooting out.
Jayden released the man’s softening prick, and his arm wobbled as he held himself over the man. After a few shuddered breaths, he pulled out, gathered his lover into his arms, and relaxed back onto the bed. Stephan nuzzled into his chest.
Once he gained control of his breathing, Jayden asked, “You’re not going to stop me, tell me not to go?”
“No,” Stephan rasped. Wiggling, he turned to face Jayden.
“Why?”
“They deserve whatever you do to them. Just…make sure to come back to us.”
Smiling, he ran his hand over Stephan’s stomach. “I’ll always come back. I would never leave you and our little girl alone.”
“You can’t promise that…”
Jayden sighed. “I suppose you’re right. Can you promise me something?”
“What?”
“If something does happen, not that it will, promise me you’ll take care of yourself and the baby. Promise me that you’ll eat properly and not lift things you shouldn’t.”
“I’ll be fine,” Stephan growled. “And I’ve been taking care of myself just fine, thank you very much. I
would never do anything to endanger our child.”
“Stephan…you threw a chair at me.”
“I missed!”
“Only because it was too heavy. You could have hurt yourself.” When Stephan narrowed his eyes, Jayden quickly added, “Not that you weren’t right to be angry. I shouldn’t have eaten the last piece of chocolate-chip cookie-dough cheesecake.”
“It was my favorite!” Stephan snapped. His bottom lip began to wobble.
Jayden’s eyes widened—oh shit, that wasn’t good. He’d discovered quickly that baby hormones were terrifying. And Stephan in a fit usually sent him fleeing to Dante’s.
“I know,” Jayden soothed. “But I apologized. I even bought you two full ones just for you. And we also have one down in the fridge right at this very moment, remember, sweetie?”
His little plush lips stopped wobbling, and Stephan beamed. “We do?”
“Yes, we do. Why don’t I go get you a piece or two?”
“Oh! Yes, that sounds wonderful.”
“Right then, I’ll go get it,” Jayden murmured softly and slid out of the bed.
His hand was on the doorknob when Stephan giggled. “Um, Jade, you might want to put some pants on.”
Freezing, Jayden looked down at himself. “Uh…right.”
* * * *
Later
Hiding behind a tree, he stared at the looming three-story house. It was exactly as he remembered it. A house Jayden had lived in but never called home. Homes were supposed to be warm and loving. This one seemed cold, even on the outside.
“Danger!” Bow cried.
Well, shit. He should have expected this. Bow was…well, child-him. It was only normal that he’d fear this place.
He startled when a branch snapped beside him. But huffed when he recognized the scent, or rather scents.
“You two taking up stalking on the side?”
“Why not? Nothing wrong with having hobbies,” Liam drawled.
Dante stood silently beside the man, grinning stupidly.
“Well, now I know why Stephan didn’t stop me.” Jayden grumbled and then snapped, “I don’t need help.”
His boss pursed his lips. “We’re not really here to help. While I would never deny you your revenge, they still need to be tried.”
Jayden growled in frustration.
Dante laughed. “Now, now, I didn’t say you couldn’t hurt them today.”
“Please…please. They’ll hurt us. Please…” Bow sobbed.
Seeing his younger self break down brought tears to his eyes.
“Bow, calm down. We’re here to make them pay,” Jayden coaxed.
He whimpered. “No, you don’t understand.”
“He doesn’t like being here, does he?” Liam asked.
“No,” he murmured gruffly. “Bow’s scared.”
Jayden gasped when Bow toppled over screaming. Images flashed through his mind. Memories that were hidden burst forward. Then he saw them—his parents. They were clear for the first time. His memory was complete for the first time.
“Bow…”
“What? What happened?” Dante asked, his eyes glowing.
“Did you hide them, Bow?”
Staring at him with tearstained cheeks, Bow nodded. “I had to…they would have found us…hurt us…I had to!”
“Oh, Bow…”
He cried, “It doesn’t matter now! We’re here! They’ll hurt us now!”
“No, Bow, we’ll hurt them.”
Watching his little monster fall into despair was so painful. Jayden wanted to protect him—to comfort him. But was there a way? There had to be…
Taking a deep breath, he focused on the emptiness surrounding Bow. Closing his eyes, Jayden imagined he was there, beside the small child.
And then he was. The house was gone, Liam and Dante were gone, the only thing around him now was darkness, and Bow…
He kneeled and pulled the sobbing child into his arms. Bow jerked in surprise.
“How are you here?”
“I don’t know and I don’t care,” Jayden admitted. “You’re safe now, Bow.”
Bow tilted his head, his tears slowing. “S-Safe?”
“Safe. They can’t hurt either of us now. Because we’re strong.”
“Strong?” Bow sniffled, parroting him.
“Yes, and they can’t hurt you because I won’t let them.”
“You’ll protect me?”
“Yes.”
Bow beamed and hugged him. “Safe,” he said, sighing happily.
Jayden snapped his eyes open. He was back. Dante and Liam were staring at him, looking worried.
“Is everything okay?” Dante asked, brows furrowed.
“Everything’s fine now. Bow…just needed some reassurance.”
“I see.”
Grinning devilishly, he said, “Let’s go have some fun.”
“My favorite kind of fun.” Liam rubbed his hands together. The man’s eyes were completely black.
Dante eyed both of them with a hint of suspicion in his eyes... “You can’t kill them yet.”
“Define ‘kill.’” Liam chuckled darkly.
“As in their heart is no longer beating.”
“Hmm, so leave their hearts beating? Can they stop and then start again? Or do they have to continuously beat the whole time?” Liam hummed.
“You can’t kill them!” Dante growled. “Why the hell did I even bring you with me?”
“I was wondering that myself,” Liam drawled.
“Yeah, yeah, yeah. Argue later—it’s time to go.” Jayden started toward the house with the two following him.
“We’re going to hurt them?” Bow gave him a watery smile.
“Yes. We’re going to make them bleed.”
Jayden grinned when Bow let out a happy squeal and clapped his hands. It was time to have a nice little talk with his parents.
