  Hank took a moment to straighten up the manuscript and return it to Carol’s manuscript box, about to ask Carol to join him in a late dinner at the Birch building commissary. He looked up to ask, but Carol was gone.

  Sounded like tacit approval to publish, to him.

  As stated earlier, Folio 2 of The Good Doctor’s Tales is a companion piece to my novel “Now We Are Monsters.” I think of it as a psychodrama, not an adventure story (as is the rest of the Commander series).
