Seeds of Desire

Moaning, Jared caressed her ass. His face suffused with pleasure and he looked up at her with gleaming eyes. She smiled down at him and tightened her muscles around his cock.

  “Ah, fuck, yeah!” he cried.

Good, I’m doing something right. She raised and lowered herself faster, and he raised his hips to meet her. With each movement, she built her pace. He matched her thrust for thrust, until the bed banged against the wall. Still it wasn’t enough for her and she found a rhythm of squeezing his dick within her each time she came down on him. Convulsively, he clutched her ass and pounded harder into her.

Her cunt gripped him as tightly as his hands on her. Her body shuddered and she ached for release. Her orgasm remained distant this time. No surprise. Intercourse didn’t usually do it for her, despite her thunderous climax the night before.

Jared’s finger did. Still holding her hip with one hand, he slipped the other between them and rubbed her clit rapidly in time to their fucking, and ecstasy rushed through her. Cries and moans escaped her, and she didn’t try to quiet herself. If the motel walls were thin enough for other guests to hear her, so be it. They could be jealous.

Her body was on fire. Her thoughts shut off and nothing existed except the pleasure Jared brought her. She closed her eyes to heighten the physical sensations of his cock filling her cunt, of his hands on her bare skin. Suddenly something inside her gave way, and she came, shouting wordlessly. Her walls contracted on his cock and her hips bucked. She shuddered and quickly propped her hands against the mattress to keep from collapsing onto him, though her arms were so limp they barely held her weight. She cried out again as another spasm shook her.

A moment later, so did he. A long, low groan escaped him as he tensed and quaked beneath her. He grabbed her hips so tightly she gasped. Not that she cared.

Gasping for breath, she watched him shudder through his climax until an aftershock hit her and she closed her eyes and gritted her teeth to keep from crying out again.

Jared pulled her down against him and held her tightly. “I’m sorry it didn’t last longer,” he murmured between heavy breaths.

“It’s all right.” She kissed his cheek, then lay her head on his chest. “I think we’ll have other times. You can make those last.”

“With such a beautiful woman on my cock, I just couldn’t control myself,” he said quietly.

“It’s been a long time since a man got me off that hard,” she admitted.

“Glad to be of help.” She heard the smugness in his tone. He tapped her hip. “Let me up, please.”

She rolled off him, too lethargic from her climax to want to stand or even sit. He went into the bathroom. After a moment and a flush, he returned without the condom. “Sorry,” he muttered. “Didn’t want to leave that on.”

  She giggled. “That’s understandable.”

He lay down again and tugged her hand until she rolled back against him, her head on his chest and one arm draped over him. He wrapped his arms around her and held her tenderly. Now that she could think again, her thoughts ran amok. How the hell had this happened? From bickering to fucking in one day. It didn’t seem possible. It sure wasn’t logical.

She wanted it to happen again.

“What are you thinking?” he asked.

“How strange this is.” She traced his arm with a fingertip. “I thought you couldn’t stand me, you thought I hated you, and now we’re naked together.”

“Yeah.” He chuckled. “Funny how that worked out. Do you remember what I said earlier?”

“You said a lot,” she pointed out. “Depends on how much earlier you’re talking about.”

He stroked her hair, carefully avoiding her bandage. “A little while before we got naked. I said I came on these trips because I thought you’d be best for me. I also said I knew you were the woman I wanted the moment I saw you. Remember?”

  “I remember,” she whispered.

“I didn’t mean just wanted in bed, though that’s definitely a benefit.” He took a ragged breath. “I fell in love with you the first time I saw you, Cassidy.”

His confession stunned her and her first instinct was to try to deflect it. “There’s no such thing as love at first sight,” she said. She didn’t know whether she believed in love at any sight. Definitely not first.

“Sure there is.” He spoke quietly but firmly. “You might have to be a romantic sap to believe in it. I’m pretty good at being one of those, so I believe. You walked in that day in your skirt and blouse, hair down, just shy enough to show you weren’t sure you’d get the job, and still confident enough to show you thought you deserved it. I’d never seen anyone pull that off before, and it got to me.” He thumped his chest. “Hit me right here. I knew you belonged in my life.”

She rolled away from him onto her stomach and propped herself on her elbows so she could look him in the eye. “You couldn’t possibly have known that,” she said.

“I did,” he insisted, “and the time I’ve spent with you since has just proven it to me. Even when you acted like you despised me, I knew I loved you. I know I acted like an ass. I didn’t know how else to be around you. It was the only way to keep myself from blurting out how I felt and embarrassing the hell out of myself.”

She glared at him. “I would rather have had you do that than act the way you did.”

“Yeah, well, live and learn.” He gave her a tender smile. “So what do you say?”

“About what?” Her head spun. Either he’d asked her something and she’d missed it, or he wanted a response to his statements. She had no clue what to say. He’d fallen in love with her at first sight, and she still hadn’t managed to wrap her mind around the idea that she didn’t hate him.

That she loved him, and wanted him in her bed and her life. She couldn’t say it. Not yet.

“About us.” He smoothed her hair away from her face. “About becoming my partner in something that has nothing at all to do with JaBro. About giving me a chance to show you I’m not such a bad guy and that I can actually learn to rinse soap out of hair.”

She laughed. “We work together,” she pointed out. “Isn’t there some rule against coworkers dating each other?”

“In some cases, yeah. Since I have an in with the company owner, I think I can persuade him to overlook that.” He grinned. “Besides, you aren’t an employee, you’re a consultant, remember?”

  “True.”

“So?” He looked at her expectantly.

She wondered if she could manage to have a relationship with this man. If she’d be able to let things happen between them, overlook the way they’d started out and just focus on the present and future.

She wondered if just once in her life she could shut up her brain and make a decision that had nothing at all to do with logic. Her heart whispered that she should give loving Jared a shot. Her cunt concurred. If she said no to him, she might lose out on something wonderful. She wouldn’t take that chance.

“Okay,” she said quietly after a moment. “We can try.”

“I hoped you’d say that.” Relief filled his eyes and he rolled to her and pressed his lips against hers. “I love you, Cassidy Shelton.”

“I…” Her eyes welled up and she sniffled, wishing she had the words he wanted to hear. Maybe she could admit it to herself, but she wasn’t ready to say it to him.

“It’s okay,” he said gently. “I know you can’t answer that yet. You don’t know if you love me.” He winked. “Don’t worry. You’ll learn.”

  “Arrogant,” she teased.

“Nope, I just plan on giving you every reason in the world to love me,” he replied confidently. “Starting now and going until we’re sick of each other or dead. Now get some sleep. Tomorrow we have to meet with Daddy and give him the good news.”

She raised an eyebrow. “You’re going to tell him about us?”

“Nope. Those trees.” He kissed her again and pulled her into his arms. With gentle fingertips, he closed her eyelids. “Sleep. I
ll be right here. Now and always.”
