She giggles and kisses me back. And that’s how we spend the rest of the weekend. Her in my arms with a weekend full of giggles.
What a way to fucking end.
What a fucking way to start.
It’s our beginning. Our new beginning that was made by us, and now to be told only by us.
Epilogue
One Year Later
His hands are skimming over my body, and I push them away. It doesn’t work. They stay where they are. I try my best to not giggle, but it bubbles up anyway.
“You two, knock it off,” my mother says next to us. I zip my lips, but his hands don’t move. He nods to my mother, who just smiles and faces the front of the room again. Our relationship has changed, so fucking much. My mother is actually a real-life mother now. She’s a part of our everyday lives and has a solid relationship with the both of us. Even if I think she loves Ryken more than me because he has his own special way with women.
It’s time to sit down. He pulls me down, so I am seated as close to him as possible. His hand on my thigh, not letting me go. We watch and listen to the people at the front. His breath comes close to my ear, and he bites my earlobe. I have to move my head away just to keep him off of me.
“Can you believe it?” my mother asks, shaking her head.
The ceremony drags on, and when it’s time to stand I know he’s fidgeting and wanting to have his hands on me because now both of them are all over me.
“It’s a miracle,” Ryken says, laughing.
We turn to follow the crowd walking down the aisle and into the reception. When they come in, his hands are behind me, holding me now to his front and not letting me move.
Livia spots me and walks straight over, and she looks gorgeous in her white dress. It’s what she wanted, to have someone look at her the way Ryken looks at me. Livia makes the most beautiful bride.
Ryken squeezes tighter and nods his head to Livia as she leans in to kiss my cheek.
“You look absolutely beautiful,” I say to her smiling.
She gushes, looks to Ryken then back to me. “Next... it’s your turn.”
I attempt to shake my head, but Ryken answers for me instead, “It sure will be.”
Livia smiles at his words. She’s married a work colleague, the one she had a crush on. She walks away after her husband comes over and pulls her to her parents. Ryken leads me to the dance floor, turning me around, so our fronts are pushed together. “If I could I would bend you over right here, I would fuck you so hard you’d see stars.”
I smile at his words which have never changed and place my arms around his neck. “And I would let you.” I smirk up at him while we rock back and forth.
“It’s funny to be here... at her wedding,” he says, looking around then back to me. “But I guess it’s a starting point for when she has to come to ours.” The side of his lip curls up. He’s been speaking like this for months, but no ring has been produced.
Livia and I are good now. She lives back here, and yes, I now live with Ryken. It took over six months to get me to his place. He tried often, but when he had to work heaps he couldn’t come back to me as often as he wanted, and eventually, I got tired of making him drive to me at five in the morning just so I could cuddle him to sleep. Being separated from him isn’t something I like.
“Let’s go.”
I look around, everyone’s mingling. We can slip out, so I nod my head. He takes my hand and slips the car keys from my purse and gets the car. It’s the red one, which I eventually took as a present from him. Only when we moved to his house because then I had to drive to work every day.
We’re still the same—our love hasn’t shut down and never will. His hands never stop touching me, his lips never stop kissing me. We’ve fought, like all couples. And he’s always the first to cave because I won’t let him touch me. And he can’t go without touching me.
He pulls up to our house. Quinn, Robert, and Sabrina are standing out front. I look to Ryken, but he just gets out of the car. I walk around to him, and he grabs hold of my hand and walks up the stairs to them. Each of them is holding a tulip.
Sabrina hands me hers. “Will...” she says nothing more. I look at her strange, but Ryken pulls me up one stair.
Quinn is next. “You...” He passes a tulip.
Ryken pulls me up another step. “Marry...” Robert says, smiling as he passes me another tulip.
When I turn around to Ryken, who’s let go of my hand, in his hands are a bunch of tulips, and he’s on his knees holding open a box. “Me...” he says.
I drop the tulips from my hand and cover my mouth.
“Barbie?”
I nod my head, realizing I’ve not answered him.
He smiles, reaching for my hand and sliding the ring on. It looks like the Eifel tower built purely of diamonds. I love it. I jump into his arms, and he leans back to kiss me. He lifts a hand to wave to the guys, and I hear them leave, as he walks me inside the house and our lips fuse with each other’s.
Pulling back, I smile at him with a tear in my eye. “You’re stuck with me now.”
“No, baby, you’re stuck with me. So let’s continue to overdose on each other forever.”
And that’s all it takes.
Our fate is sealed.
No one will ever compare to Ryken Lord.
And now I’m soon to be Mrs. Ryken Lord. I never thought that thought would make me this happy. It doesn’t, though, let’s face it, it’s him that makes this happy.
And I will continue to overdose on him for the rest of my life.
