Broken Silence

He stared at himself in the mirror now. He looked all sex-mussed. It was a good look on him; he wasn’t going to beat around the bushes about that. Nathan knew exactly what he looked like. Tim certainly seemed to like it.

Nathan didn’t think he could do this again. It had broken his heart when Tim had finally broken things off.

A knock on the door interrupted his musings.

  “Nathan? Everything okay?”

Nathan mentally girded his loins before opening the door. He stared up at Tim, immediately noticing that the man was only wearing briefs. Well, shit. That was just mean.

  “We can’t do this.”

“What? Use the bathroom? Cause I’m pretty sure we can. Come on, I’ll wash your back.”

“Tim. I’m sorry, but I’m going to have to ask you to leave.”

Tim frowned. He crossed his arms across his colossal chest. “What’s wrong?”

“I can’t do this again. If we start right back up again, where’s the guarantee that you aren’t going to get another fabulous job and go gallivanting away again?”

  “Nathan.”

“No, I’m not doing this again. You have to leave.”

“I’m not leaving before we talk this out. I thought we got over all this last night. What happened between then and now? Come on, Nate. Talk to me.”

“I don’t want to talk and I don’t have to. I’ve asked you to leave.” Before he started crying, preferably. He wondered if he had any ice cream left in the house.

“You’re still buck assed naked. I’m not walking away. I did it once before and I’ve never regretted anything more.”

“Don’t do this to me. Please.” He hated that he was begging, but he couldn’t do this. His heart wouldn’t take it.

“Just hear me out. I have something for you that might help. I was an idiot. I thought it would be easier to break things off smoothly.”

  “Smoothly?”

“Well, okay. Maybe not as smooth as I thought it would go. I just...”

  “What?”

“Will you just sit down while I get it? I promise, I will do whatever you want if you’ll just let me talk to you. Don’t shut me out now, please?”

  Nathan sighed.

“Good, good, okay. Just, come over here and I’ll just be a second. It’s in my pocket.” He ushered Nathan to the bed while he moved to the foot of it and the pile of clothes he’d obviously already gone through this morning.

Nathan sat down on the bed, covering himself up with the covers.

Tim rummaged around in his jeans before pulling out a small keychain. “I know how much you like 80s stuff. Wasn’t that the decade of the mixed tape? Anyway, I made one for you.”

Nathan really didn’t want to be touched at the moment. But, really? A mixed tape? He wanted to get on the phone and call all his friends right this minute. It was just so unbelievably sweet. No, no, he wasn’t going to be swayed. He’d already decided that he wasn’t going to let Tim do this to him again.

“That's not a tape,” he pointed out.

“Shit, babe, no one has tapes anymore. It's a USB so you can play the songs on anything you want. It’s pretty epic, if I do say so myself. Starts with “Broken Wings” by Mr. Mister.”

Nathan sighed happily. Oh, he loved that song. “Really?”

“It seemed appropriate. All that stuff about not being whole without you? It’s true. It’s how I feel. It took me longer than I’d like to admit to realize it, and when I finally did it wasn’t like I could just up and come back at the drop of a hat. It didn’t seem the type of thing to say over the phone either. Look, bottom line? I want to be with you. I'm sorry about the way things ended up. Forgive me?”

How was he supposed to say no to that? Nathan flopped backward on the bed.

  “Babe?”

“You suck. You realize that, right? You suck big fat donkey balls in the worst way possible. I can’t believe you’d pull that when I’ve already decided to let you go.”

Tim laughed. “Does that mean I’m forgiven?”

Nathan sat back up. Is that what it meant? A part of him knew he’d never forgive himself if he didn’t at least try to see what could happen. There was a reason he’d never pursued anyone else since Tim left. There had been a Tim-shaped hole left in his life that he didn’t want to fill with anyone else. He could at least be honest with himself about that. And a part of him realized that it took two people to make a relationship. They had both made mistakes in the past. They were both at fault for what happened in their own way.

He sighed. “If I wasn’t so forgiving I would have Mount Doomed your ass when I opened the door.”

Tim reared back. “I’ve never been more turned on. You watched it? You never wanted to watch it whenever I begged you.”

“Of course I did. It was a connection to you. After you left...I realized that I wanted to have part of you with me. I watched every movie I could remember you talking about over the years. Matthew helped me.”

Then he found the fan fiction that went along with it and spent many a happy hour shipping all sorts of slash pairings. Which he wasn’t going to tell Tim about. No use letting all his secrets out of the bag.

Tim threw himself onto the bed beside Nathan, crawling over until they were laid out side by side facing each other. “You never wanted to when we were together. I can’t believe you actually made a nerd joke. Say something else.”

Nathan pursed his lips. He couldn’t resist. “You better be serious about trying to make this relationship work. If you’re not then I really will turn to the dark side, accio an Orc army and go all Hydra on you.”

Tim groaned. “Babe. You had me at dark side.”

  “Stop it.”

“No, I’m serious, I’m so fucking horny right now.”

“You’re always horny. What’s the difference?”

  “Babe, seriously. I need you.”

Nathan grinned. He couldn’t believe this was happening. That they were really going to try and make this work again. He wasted no time in wiggling up to the head of the bed while Tim yanked his briefs off. His dick slapped against his belly and left a trail of precome behind.

Lying back among the pillows at the head of the bed, Nathan stroked his cock idly, lifting his other arm to rest it beneath his head.

Quickly getting out of bed and moving toward his jeans, Tim deliberately pulled out a condom and showed it to Nathan with a quirk of his brow. Nathan knew what he was asking, and he was definitely up for more than just jerking off this morning. Sex was definitely on the menu.

“We’re going to need more than one. It’s been awhile and I don’t plan on leaving this bed all weekend except to eat.”

The muscles in Tim’s arms and chest stood out in relief for a moment, the big body shuddering. He tore into the packet, biting it open with his strong, white teeth. Keeping his gaze on Nathan, Tim slid the condom smoothly onto his thick shaft, stroking it once it was on snugly.

  Licking his lips, Nathan waited.

Tim stood beside the bed, silently. That proud cock stood up at attention, waving in front of Nathan’s hungry gaze.

He glanced up at Tim, seeing the intent gaze staring back at him. Nathan angled his head, keeping his gaze on Tim’s.

His lips touched smooth hardness, tasting latex instead of warm skin like he’d prefer. He sucked just the head inside, his mouth wide and saliva pooling around the thick cock, dripping down to wet his chin.

Moaning, Nathan took in more of Tim, moving his tongue along the underside of his cock, feeling the uniqueness, searching out the little things that he remembered after so long.

Nathan grasped Tim’s hips, holding him steady. One of Tim’s big hands clasped the back of his head, but he didn’t apply any pleasure.

He backed off, licking the head of Tim’s cock once before staring up at man. Kissing down the shaft, Nathan reached the thick base, mouthing one testes carefully. He drew the skin into his mouth, tasting the salty sweet essence of Tim
that he’d missed with the latex in his way.

“I love the way you taste.”

Tim pushed him back down to the bed, holding him in place with one big paw while he rooted in his bedside drawer. A familiar bottle was found, the top off and lube drizzled into Tim’s waiting palm. Nathan had to grin.

“How’d you know that would still be there?”

“Nate. I know you. There’s no way you would have moved the lube.”

Nathan grinned, not disagreeing in the slightest.

Tim rubbed his fingers together, warming the lube in his hand before reaching down and running his palm across Nathan’s dick, over his balls and behind to his needy hole.

Nathan let his legs drop to either side, spreading as far as he could to give Tim easier access. He wanted that cock inside him so much he could practically taste his own need.

A considerable finger was run over his hole, teasing his skin before delving inside. Nathan bore down on the digit, milking it like he wanted to milk Tim’s cock.

Groaning, Tim removed his finger only to immediately thrust two back in. The slight pain made Nathan arch his back, panting for air. Nathan closed his eyes, a smile on his face.

  “No, look at me.”

Cracking open his eyelids, his smile grew when Tim repeated his gesture, thrusting three fingers now into his ass.

“I’m ready, I don’t need anything else. Please, Tim, fuck me now.”

Tim reached up, grabbing a pillow and sliding it under his hips, causing Nathan’s back to arch even more. He pulled his own knees up, sliding his hands under his legs to lock them into place.

  “Now, Tim. Please!”

Tim bent his head to press his teeth into the side of Nathan’s cock, letting him feel it. He snarled, straightening out and fitting the head of his dick against Nathan’s quivering hole.

“I want you so bad, Nate. I’ve dreamt of this since I left. Every moment I had free, I thought of you. Of us. Being with you. Touching you. Kissing you. Spending time together. Just being together.”

Tim thrust in without pause, that thick shaft entering him, sliding along his inner walls and abrading every single one of his nerve endings. Nathan gasped.

“More,” Tim demanded. “I want to hear you.”

Tim pushed up on Nathan’s thighs, pressing his knees tight to his chest, getting a good grip. He snapped his hips, pressing Nathan to the bed, holding him in place for his thrusts.

Nathan groaned, reaching for his own cock with one shaking hand, pawing at it until he had a good grip on it. He cried out, gasping for air, unable to breathe from the intense pressure in his chest. He was going to come. Oh, God, he was going to come.

  “Tim. Oh, Tim.”

  “Come for me, now.”

Nathan’s eyes shut tight, his body bucked beneath Tim’s and he was coming hard, every drop of liquid in his body spraying out onto his belly. Nathan dropped to the bed, his body nearly boneless.

Tim gasped, his body held frozen above Nathan before his body jerked. They panted for air.

Tim pulled out, landing heavily to the side of Nathan, protecting him even in his near stupor. He removed the condom, tying off the end and letting it drop to the side of the bed. Nathan turned over, sliding against Tim, nuzzling in and placing one thigh over Tim’s legs.

He had no idea how long they lay there, both content to just bask in their afterglow.

Finally, Tim lifted one hand, running his fingers through Nathan’s hair. “We’re going to be okay, right?”

“I’m willing to work at it, if you are.”

“I love you, Nate. I know I don’t say it enough, and I know we’ve been apart for —”

Nathan placed his hand over Tim’s mouth. “It doesn’t matter. We’ll figure it out. I promise.”

They laid back down, both curling into each other.

  “You didn’t say it back.”

Nathan grinned. He pressed a kiss to Tim’s chest. “I have to do something to keep you on your toes. A lady has to have some secrets, right?”

“You’re going to be the death of me, babe.”

  “I’ll kiss it better.”
