A Dangerous Love 5: No Love Lost

by J Peach

Smacking my lips, I let out a sigh. Wiping my eyes, I couldn’t help the tears. I was trying to stop them but they weren’t stopping.

I was in love and hurting. I was trying to get over him, but he was making that hard for me.

“Blaze, can you please let me go? I’m not mad, you’re going to do you regardless of how I feel, you’ve made that perfectly clear. So I’m over it, this is pointless.” Sniffing, I grabbed his wrists trying to move his hands from my waist. “Blaze, why do you want to keep on doing this? You claiming you don’t want to hurt me, but you’re not trying to change to prevent it from happening. Your hoe is here at your little sister’s birthday party—”

“I didn’t tell that bitch to come here. And she ain’t my damn hoe,” he stated, making me roll my eyes.

“Bullshit, Blaze. You had a woman that the bitch knew about and she continued to fuck with you. She’s a fuckin’ hoe,” I snapped at him.

“Let her be a hoe then, but she ain’t mine. I ain’t fuckin’ that bitch man. I’m apologizing, Peach, I’m sorry. It’s been almost three weeks and a nigga miss the fuck outda you. I’m tryna make this right.”

I shook my head as I pulled at his wrist again.

“If you wanted to make this right, yo bitch wouldn’t still be here and you’d let that fuckin’ hoe go. But you’re not saying shit like that—”

“How the fuck you gon’ be pissed about that bitch suckin’ my dick when you got niggas leaving fuckin’ marks on yo titties and shit? You wanna call somebody a fuckin’ hoe? Get the fuck outda here with that bullshit.”

I slapped the fuck outda him. “I’m not a fuckin’ hoe, these fuckin marks was a mistake. This wasn’t planned Blaze, it was a mistake. But so what? We’re not together so it shouldn’t matter. It’s not like I was fuckin’ with dude while I was with you. You had this bitch while fuckin’ with me. So I was just the bitch you fuck’d while she was the hoe who sucked your dick. Fuck you!

“This’s exactly why I don’t want to be with yo ass now, you disrespectful as fuck. I’m a hoe? Really? I ain’t fuck’d no nigga but you and haven’t no nigga ate my pussy while we were together. Yeah, yesterday was a fuckin’ mistake. But I don’t feel bad about it, tho, because I’m not with you! Blaze, let me the fuck go, you disrespectful ass bitch!” He just pissed me the fuck off, gon’ imply I’m a fuckin’ hoe.

I bit into my bottom lip as I grabbed him by his throat. My nails dug into his skin as I tried choking the fuck outda him.

“Bitch, what the fuck wrong with you? You done lost yo gotdamn mind?” Blaze snapped, pushing me off him and to the floor. “Yo ass tryna choke me? Damn, we there, Peaches?” He didn’t seem mad like he just did a moment ago, just surprised.

Getting out the floor, I punched him. “We got there when you called me a fuckin’ hoe! Do I look like yo bitch? Fuck you, Blaze. I fuckin hate yo ass!” Grabbing my forearms, Blaze jerked me to him.

“You better quit saying that shit, you don’t hate me. If you did, why the fuck you crying, huh?” He shook me with every word. “Look, I’m not tryna fight with you, I ain’t even fuck’d up about those marks no mo. Real shit, that’s my fault. I’mma take that, i’ight. Now let’s kill this bullshit. Boss, I miss the fuck outda you, Peach.

“You my bae, you know that shit. Ain’t no bitch out here fuckin’ with you. A bitch giving me blow ain’t shit, that bitch don’t mean shit to me. Peach, you got me, baby girl, on everything you do. So fuck that bitch, man, she don’t mean shit. You hear me?” Blaze asked.

He must think I’m stupid or something.

He was telling me stuff he thought I wanted to hear, but I wasn’t going for that. I loved him, but I was not dumb, far from it.

“B, saying I got you and that I’m going to be your wife isn’t proving shit to me. That’s just talk because ain’t shit gon’ change. You still gon’ be fuckin’ with that bitch. That’s what this whole fuckin’ thing is about. Her! If she’s just a hoe, a bitch that don’t mean shit to you, then you wouldn’t have a problem letting her go.

“Not once have you said I’m done with her. She’s been a bitch and all that, but you haven’t said you gon’ stop seeing her. Telling me all this don’t mean nothing. Yeah, you right, I don’t hate you, I love you, I really do. But I love myself more, Blaze.

“You’re not worth the constant heartache. Asshole, rough, crazy Blaze, I can deal with, but cheating, lying Blaze, I don’t want nothing to do with his ass. Yo ass. I’m not just talking to get you to act right, I mean everything that’s coming out of my mouth!

“Blaze, I’m done. You don’t have me no more. No matter how hard you try you still won’t have me. Having that bitch here, is it. I’m done. If you was so serious about me like you claim to be then you would’ve walked yo ass out there and made her ass leave. You would’ve told that bitch you was done and left her ass the fuck alone. You haven’t done either! Instead, you’re in here tryna convince me we can work.

“Blaze, if me loving you wasn’t enough to make you be faithful, what’s the point in trying to make this work? You could’ve simply came to me like we talked about, but you didn’t. If you really cared about me, you would’ve. So no, it don’t mean shit to me no more. Yes, I’m hurt and I’m crying because I love you, but it’s not enough from me no more.

“I don’t care about having you or being Mrs. Carter. After everything I’ve done for and with you, everything you’ve showed me was for nothing. I don’t want to date my brother or my dad and you’re them, exactly like them. These bitches ain’t shit, but you don’t see that, you’ve gotten dumb.

“Now do you see why I didn’t want to date a fuckin’ ‘hood’? Because you’re never going anywhere in life. You’re stuck just like them. No matter how much money you have it will never buy you what we had. So go find your girl, let her keep driving that black car that’s parked right next to mine,” I told him in a tired voice.

“You risked everything we had for a bitch’s throat. I really hope it was worth it and she makes you happy.” Pushing away from him, I turned, only to stop in my tracks and see we weren’t alone. “You want him, you got him.” I walked past Krystal, I didn’t even bump into her because just like him, she wasn’t worth it. I had nothing to prove no more.

He made a gamble and he had to deal with it. Stopping at the end of the bleachers, I turned back to him.

“Blaze, I promised to rock with you and I’m keeping it. So know I always got you. If it’s serious and you need me, then call, but if it’s not then don’t bother me.”

We rocked hard so I would always have his back. He was my first and he meant so much to me that no matter what, if he was in trouble or anything I would still have his back regardless of what we went through. Us getting back together, though, it wasn’t happening anytime soon.

  Chapter 17

  Peaches

I went back to the picnic area and got a bottle of water from the cooler, hoping that would help get rid of the lump in my throat. After taking a few sips, I sat on top of a table just as my phone started ringing. “What’s up, bae?” I answered tiredly.

“What’s wrong, Peach? Do I need to come up there with my tommy gun?” Ebony asked, making me laugh.

“No, just been dealing with Blaze’s stupid ass. I want to come home, lock myself in my room, get naked and go to sleep,” I told her.

“I feel you. Wanna cuddle when you get home?” She asked, making me laugh.

“No, bitch, I don’t. But what’s up? Did you finish getting your stuff out of the house?” I took a sip of my water as I cradled the phone in my other hand.

“Yeah, I’m at King’s place now getting the rest of stuff. Kim’s here helping, Angel and Missy went back with Dane to yours to start taking my clothes and stuff in,” she updated me on their progress.

King was going to go the fuck off when he found out. Maybe getting rid of Blaze wasn’t the smartest idea right then because my black ass was gon’ need protection from King. “Is he still up there?

“No, he just ran somewhere for Blaze. Hey, E, this probably isn’t the best time to ask, but did he know about all three?” I had to ask because it just wasn’t like King to be so heartless. Yeah, he cheated, but with something as important as that I just couldn’t picture my brother not caring or not being there for her. He was a fuckin’ whore, but he loved Ebony. The thought of him not trying to help her, though, it just wasn’t sitting well with me.

“The first two he did, but not the last one. I didn’t even know I was pregnant until I had the miscarriage. Every time I got ready to tell him he had something important to do or I just didn’t see him. Then I found him with that Nikki bitch. Peaches, I wanted to tell him, I still do because he has every right to know, but King’s not going to change.

“Yeah, he’ll be there and say the sweetest things. He’ll apologize, promise he’s done with these hoes for about a week or two then turn around and be right back to fuckin’ bitches. I can’t keep being the fool. My body is literally tired, it hurts from all the bullshit and stress.” Clearing her throat, she let out a breath.

My brother was stupid, he had lost the best thing that happened to him. I just couldn’t understand how he could do that to her. When our parents died, just like me, King went through it and Ebony was there for him. Night or day, it didn’t matter, she was there. So for him to treat her like that was just not understandable.

I’ll never understand the mind of some men.

“E, you’re doing what’s best for you now so think about it when the time comes. You’ll tell him, but right now don’t stress it okay, babe? Focus on getting your stuff and getting out,” I told her as a hot pink car pulled into the parking lot. My brows furrowed looking at it.

“We’re just finishing up now. I’m leaving my car and house keys as well as his here on the pool table. After we’re done here we’re going to your parents’ place, so call your friend. We should be there in about a half hour,” she told me.

“Okay, I’m about to text him now. E, I have to go, so I’ll see you later,” I said as Marcus walked over to me. Smiling, I wave at him.

“Alright, Peaches, bye.” Hanging up, I sent Sean a quick message before slipping my phone in my back pocket. “Hey, Marcus, what’s going on?” I asked him before grabbing my water.

“What’s up, Peaches? Shit, can’t wait until this week is over. Damn girl thinks the whole week’s hers. I’m ready to ship her spoiled ass off to Mexico, Boot Camp, somewhere,” he stated, sitting next to me. Seeing Bianca, he pointed to her. “I’m thinking about sending her ass too.”

Bianca already had a playful mug on her face. “What he say? I know he said something smart.”

Shaking my head, I looked at Marcus.

“Don’t ask her, ask me. I’m not scared of yo ass,” he told her.

“What you say, Mar-Cus?” She said, breaking his name up while getting in his face. Her head moved from side to side dramatically, making me laugh.

“I said I’m about to ship you and our daughter to Mexico or Madrid, somewhere far, far away.”

Bianca’s face went blank after he said that. “Why would you torture me like that? You’d really send me off with Britt’s nagging ass?” Bianca seemed disbelieving.

“You wrong, Bianca,” I told her, laughing.

“Isn’t she?” Marcus stated, making Bianca hit him.

“No, you don’t. You’re talking about shipping her off, as a matter of fact— Britt!” Bianca started yelling for her daughter and Marcus quickly covered her mouth.

“Don’t call her over here! Shit, I just snuck away from her little ass,” Marcus whispered and again I started laughing.

“Y’all are so wrong, she can’t be that bad.”

They both looked at me and let out a psst sound.

“She is, but that’s my baby girl—” Marcus started saying, but was cut off.

“Who me?” Britt asked, squeezing between Bianca and Marcus.

“Damn, Britt, come flopping yo ass over here,” Bianca said and Britt rolled her eyes.

“Well, you saw me about to sit down. You should’ve moved over,” Britt mumbled and Bianca hit her. “Stop, dang. Daddy, get yo wife.” Their asses were crazy, but they were cute. Britt laid her head on Marcus’ shoulder as Bianca started playing with her hair.

“Now why would you want to send them off?” I asked Marcus, causing Britt to sit up?

  “Send who off?” She asked.

I pointed from her to Bianca which had Britt rolling her eyes.

“My daddy ain’t sending us anywhere, he can’t function without us. Plus, he can’t go a night without jumping mommy, nasty asses.” Britt waved them off.

My mouth parted and Bianca hit her upside the head.

“Let us be nasty, just make sho yo little ass ain’t doing shit. And look at your mother, who wouldn’t want to be on that?” Marcus said, grabbing Bianca by her waist and bringing her to him.

“Baby, don’t start out here— Marcus, stop!” Bianca laughed, moving his hands off of her butt.

I had the sudden urge to say aww, they were just so cute. And you can tell they were really happy. It showed from the way they looked at each other and played with each other. It was really cute. That was what I wanted, a love like theirs.

Bianca suddenly let out a scream as Marcus picked her up, tossing her over his shoulder.

“Marcus, put me down! You too old for this shit, now stop!” Bianca yelled out a laugh as Marcus suddenly started spanking her on the butt.

“They are so childish, I swear,” Britt said. Staring at them and shaking her head, she turned to me. “You were wrong for beating Brandy’s ass like that. I didn’t see the fight, but the right side of her face is messed up. Her mouth is bleeding, her right eyes is swollen, and her tracks are gone.

“She’s out in the parking lot looking dumb as hell. You were wrong, but I’m glad you beat her ass. I don’t like that damn girl, bitch walk around like she gold or some shit. And I don’t like the way she be trying to hoe Sam. Momma always cuss her out when she come to the house, bitch be trying to act like she run shit, but momma not having that, you know,” Brittany ranted on.

Nodding my head, I already knew Bianca didn’t take shit from nobody.

“She’s very rude and let’s not forget she’s a bitch. I met her once and right off bat she was snotty. She even had the nerve to call me Blaze’s show piece. She messed up when she muffed me, though. I don’t put my hands on nobody unless provoked, and she did that. If I don’t touch you then don’t touch me.

“That chick muffed me hard as hell. I heard my damn neck crack and on top of that she threatened to beat my ass. So what happened was her fault.” I explained, I didn’t have no beef with ol’ girl.

What she was doing with provoking him was fuck’d up, he had already slapped the fuck outda her.

“She really is, but fuck her—” A hand suddenly shot out between us from behind, slapping Britt in the mouth. “What the fuc— Heck?” She snapped quickly, turning around.

“Watch yo damn mouth. Just because it’s yo birthday, don’t think I won’t fuck you up,” Blaze was saying as he walking around the table to stand in front of us. I didn’t say anything to him as he looked at me. “You just gon’ let her cuss? That’s why she like yo ass.”

Shrugging, I looked down at my hands, hoping for a distraction, for something drastic to happen.

“Boon, what did you do now?” Britt asked before nudging me. “Peaches, what he do?”

I just shook my head. Britt wanted us together, she made that perfectly clear to everyone. I was her sister, Blaze’s wife, we were all on her damn Facebook page. She had so many pictures of us on there it was crazy, videos of us from the restaurant was still up there. Britt’s ass made sure everyone knew that, too.

“Blaze, what you do? We already talked about you messing with my sister. Do I need to go get mommy and tell her you pissed Peaches off?” Britt threatened, not even knowing the situation. I didn’
t have the heart to tell her otherwise.

I had seriously fallen in love, not only with Blaze, but his mom and sister. The situation was hard, really hard.

“He didn’t do anything, Britt, so there’s no need to go telling,” I told her.

Britt turned her glaring face from Blaze to me. “Don’t lie to me. If he didn’t do anything, why you not on him? You always on him with your tongue down his throat.”

Covering my face, I started laughing in order to keep myself from crying. What happened to confident Peaches that was just playing basketball with him? God, she needed to come back.

  I just feel like crying.

“Peaches, it wasn’t that funny,” she stated slowly. It wasn’t funny at all, but I couldn’t tell her that. The tears had already started falling in my hands.

Where the hell was my brother?

  “Peaches—” Britt slowly called.

I’m turning into a freaking crybaby.

“It was funny because you didn’t have to say it like that. I do not always be on him,” I said while wiping my eyes.

There was no hiding the thickness in my voice, I just hoped she paid it no attention. Still letting out small chuckles, I wiped my eyes. Clearing my throat, I looked at Britt and shook my head.

Staring back at me, she had a confused look on her face which actually had me laughing. “Stop staring at me like that and close your damn mouth.”

She looked like she didn’t know whether to laugh with me or call Bianca over.

“You’re the one having a damn bi-polar moment. Is your period close?” I hit her shoulder and she started laughing.

“See, this exactly why I’m not taking yo ass to breakfast.” Britt threw her arms around me and kissed my cheek.

“Peaches, you’ll do yo baby sis like that? You know I love you, though.” Laughing, I shook my head at her. “Whatever heffa.” I laid my head on top of hers laughing, but my laughter stopped almost immediately.

  “Hey, I’m Krystal. Happy birthday.”

See, I was trying to be the bigger person, but their asses wanted to provoke me. He still had that bitch there? Come on now, this was showing so fuckin’ much. Did he even give a fuck? That was the most important question and I was really starting to see he didn’t because if he did that bitch wouldn’t have still been there.
