A Dangerous Love 5: No Love Lost

by J Peach

I wasn’t going to get in the middle of King and Ebony’s stuff, it was too stressful on me.

“I’ll suggest it, but that’s it. Ron, he did her so wrong, even though I hate seeing him like this, maybe pain is what he needs to feel to understand. I can’t watch another Patricia and Dmitri, sorry.”

That was something horrible to go through and I couldn’t watch my best friend become my mother. She was almost there, but she was doing okay. Yeah, she missed King, but going back to him would be her doing, I wasn’t encouraging her to.

“Do what you feel, I just never seen King like that so I figured she should at least hear him out, but I’m off it.” Which he should be, their drama would have him turning grey.

“You should. This is probably bad, but do you want to stay the night? You don’t have to, but I’d like you to. No sex, though, just conversation, cuddling. Maybe some kissing, rolling around on the bed or couch, that’s about it. I promise not to keep you up past one.” Was it wrong of me not to want him to leave? To want him to hold me?

  No.

Even if it was, I didn’t care. Spending the evening with Ron made me realize how much I really missed his company, him in general. I was pulled from my thoughts as I noticed how quiet it had gotten. I immediately felt stupid for asking.

“You know what, forget I even asked.”

“No, I want to. But if you want to forget about it—”

“No, I just thought, I mean, you didn’t say nothing so I figured, you know.” Laughing, Ron pulled me to him.

“I said yeah right after you asked me, you just seemed to have zoned out. So I thought you were thinking of a way to sneak me past your brother.”

Why would I have to sneak him upstairs?

That was my house and last I check I was grown. “King said he likes you.”

“Him saying that wasn’t a go jump in bed with my baby sister pass. I’m just the ideal guy that he pictures you with.” Why did he have to think so much?

  I like that.

“Go upstairs to my room, I’ll meet you up there.”

With a nod, Ron went up the stairs and I walked into the living room.

“It ain’t got shit to do with, Peaches I don’t trust him,” Sam was saying as I rounded the corner.

“But I do, so it don’t matter what you think, Sam,” I told him as I walked to the bar, grabbing my purse. “Come on, Cherry. Well, I’ve had a long day so I’m going to bed.” I walked back to the hallway. “King, are you staying the night?”

“I don’t know, probably. Why?” He replied.

Yawning, I shrugged. “Just asking, Sam close those curtains for me. Good night, y’all, I’m going to bed. King, make sure you lock the door once Sam leaves.” With that, I left the living room and headed up the stairs, but was stopped by a grinning Ebony. She was leaning against the door smiling way too hard.

  “Night cap?” She asked.

“Something like that. Stay out my business, heffa.” Holding her hands up, Ebony let out a small laugh as she walked backwards into her room.

“Night, Peach. Don’t have too much fun. My room is under yours.” Glaring at her, I walked away from Ebony. “I have condoms if you need some,” she called out to me.

“It’s not like that tonight. Night, bitch.” Walking up my three little stairs, I put Cherry on the couch and went into my room.

Once I made it to the bed, Jerron pulled me down on it. “I like this, I wouldn’t mind having more days like this. I still can’t believe it took me so long to get back here,” Ron mumbled. Staring down at me, those hazel eyes held so much admiration, care, love, and awe in them that it caused blood to rush to my cheeks and a smile to his lips.

“Me either, but you’re back and staying.”

Humming, Ron nodded as his hand grasped the back of my neck.

“I’m here and I’m not going anywhere,” Ron mumbled in a low whisper as he massaged the nape of my neck. Slipping my hand under his shirt, I wrapped my right arm around his waist and stretched my neck to meet him half way.

  Our lips met.

I couldn’t wish for any other person to be laid up with besides Jerron.

Everything with him seemed more meaningful, something I hadn’t felt, but desperately wanted to.

The light brushes of his lips to mine, the slow pulls and sucks to my top then bottom lips. His caressing touch as his hands moved along my back. There was nothing rushed or sloppy about it.

  It was…

  I didn’t really know.

What I did know, though, was that Ron was barely touching me and I was panting to the point that it was hard to breath. My stomach had become so tight that the jitters formed in the pit of my belly.

There was lust, I could tell from the tightening of his pants. But the lustful craving was ignored as he continued to caress from the nape of my neck to my lower back. All the while he was giving me the most amazingly sweet, non-sexual, kiss I’d ever had.

Pulling back, I pressed my forehead to his chest, trying to hide the wide smile on my face.

Happy was an understatement of how I really felt. I hadn’t felt that freaking good, amazing in such a long time that I didn’t want to look back. Anything before he came back I was aiming on forgetting.

  That’s including Blaze.

Moving up his body, I buried my head into his neck, letting my eyes close.

Was it possible to be in love with two people at the same time?

My life is going to be even more complicated if…

Sharing one heart for two entirely different men is possible.

  Chapter 31

  Peaches

“I’m dead ass serious. When I said picking Peaches up, my moms started speaking in tongues, throwing holy water and everything,” Ron joked.

Laughing, I poked him with my fork. “Stop lying, no she didn’t.” I covered my mouth with a napkin as I continued to laugh at him.

Ron and I were at my favorite Chinese restaurant for lunch. He called the previous night asking if he could take me out since we didn’t see each other the day before after he’d left my house earlier Saturday morning.

“Peaches, have I ever lied to you?” His facial expression was serious, not a smile on his face. But those hazel eyes gave him away. I didn’t have to think about it as my head started nodding frantically. “Bullshit, when?”

  “Now for one—”

“This time don’t count,” Ron cut me off, making me point my fork at him. Realizing his mistake, he started laughing. “Okay, I was lying. But what’s the other time?”

I finished off the rest of my iced tea and placed my elbows on the table looking at him. Folding my hands under my chin, I tried to keep a straight face as I thought about the lie he told me when we were younger.

“Stop with that creepy ass stare and tell me,” Ron chuckled.

“Remember when I was at your house, I was fourteen at the time. Think now, we were in your room just hanging out, you were trying to teach me how to play some shooting game. We were about an hour into the game when your phone rang…”

Ron burst out laughing as I said that, letting me know he remembered. “What I lie about then? Because I said you had to leave?”

Rolling my eyes at him, I shook my head. “No, it was the reason why you told me I had to leave. Yo lying black ass said you had to take your momma to the store but y’all asses never even left the house. You made me leave because of that tack headed hoe that called yo phone.”

Ron started choking off his drink, those hazel eyes of his going wide. I started to let his ass choke now that I thought about it, but we were past that.

Laughing, I patted him on his back. “Choking on old lies, huh?”

Once he got himself under control, I moved to go back to my seat until Ron took hold of my waist and pulled me into his lap. “I don’t know what you’re talking about. What time you have to be back at work?”

I laughed at him trying to change the subject. “You already asked me tha
t and I told you before two o’clock. You don’t have to lie or admit it because I saw that Shanice hoe walk her horse looking ass into yo house. I started to snatch that horse shit out of her hair and beat her ass then yours,” I admitted, not even realizing it as my eyes and neck rolled.

“So you were stalking me?” He licked his lips before giving me that sexy, peek-a-boo smile.

“No, what the hell I look like stalking you? I was actually leaving with King. He was taking me to the store when I saw you in the door talking to her before letting that horse in,” I explained, looking away from him, trying to keep myself from smiling at the disbelieving wide smile on his lips.

I couldn’t hold a straight face, tho. Laughing, I muffed his head to the side. “Nigga, whatever, I wasn’t stalking you.” Yeah, I looked down towards his house a few times from my porch to see if they’d left.

That doesn’t make me a stalker.

“I didn’t say nothing and I didn’t fuck her. We we’re cool, that was it. I just didn’t want her to come with you there because I already knew yo ass was going to think we were fuckin’ which we never did. Even though she got around, Shanice was cool. Shid, we still talk to this day.

“We haven’t kicked it since I’ve been back, but we talk, though. She’s cool.” My lips formed into a pout as they twisted to the side. “Stop, don’t do that, I ain’t never touched that girl. You being jealous is sexy, though. Look at that pout,” he mumbled while leaning forward and grabbing my lip.

Laughing at his playful growl, my hands went to the side of his face, stopping his tug on my lip.

“You childish,” I smiled against his lips as he hummed.

“Mhm,” Grasping the back of my neck and caressing the skin, Ron tugged at my lip again, causing them to part. My thumb lightly stroked his cheek as I grabbed his top lip and sucked it into my mouth.

Our eyes locked for a second until our lips started moving and then slid closed.

Being with Ron had me feeling like that teenager crushing hard all over again. It was like nothing really changed, we just picked up where we left off so many years ago, feelings still intact.

I turned more into his lap and my right arm wrapped his neck while my left hand stayed at his cheek as the kiss grew more intense. Ron’s hand tangled in my hair, gripping it tightly as he kissed me harder, causing a silent gasp to leave my mouth.

Before that moment everything had been soft, caressing with him. Not anymore. No, this was rough and heavily sexual and I was enjoying it. My body was reacting to him, to the tightening grip on both my hair and waist while he bit at my top then bottom lip.

My legs tightened causing the slightest little pressure to my swelling clit. Doing so had a moan leaving my mouth and going into his. Ron suddenly yanked my head back, causing a gasp to slip through my lips. Biting at my lower lip, Ron let out a groan.

“If you wanna make it to work we better stop. You wanna go back to work? Hm?” He asked while biting at the skin on my neck and tracing his tongue over the bite. Ron continued his biting which seemed to be harder than the one before. Then he licked and lightly sucked over the bite.

How do you ask something like that when you’re doing this?

Damn I just want to ride him in this chair.

“Jerron—” Before I could finish saying anything, he let out another groan and pressed his forehead against my neck.

“Why you always starting shit, man, damn,” he complained.

Letting out a small laugh, I kissed his forehead before pecking his lips again. “I didn’t start nothing, you did this.” I shifted in his lap, basically gesturing to his very hard friend that was poking me in the ass. Then I pointed to him again. “You kissed me first.”

“Spend the night with me,” Ron said, catching me off guard. I expected him to say something stupid in reply to what I’d said, not an invitation to stay at his house. “No sex, Peaches, so don’t think that’s why I’m asking. After the night before—”

“I’ll stay.” I wasn’t gon’ hold back with Ron, there was no need to. He didn’t have to finish his sentence, I didn’t like to sleep alone and after Friday night, after just being cuddled up to his side, the way he held me so tightly against his body, I loved that. I loved the feel of him. “I liked sleeping with you too.”

I laughed as he rubbed the back of his neck. Seeing him do that had my brows furrowing as Blaze came to mind— Mentally, I shook him out of my head and focused back on Ron.

“So you’re taking me to work in the morning?” I asked.

“Hell n’all, you got a car, you driving yo damn self. Shid, I ain’t gotda be up until ten, but you can make me breakfast before you leave, though.” His face was straight like he was telling the truth.

My mouth parted slightly and Ron took that chance to lick my lips. “You are such an ass, I wish I would cook yo black ass another meal. Jerron, you’re sexist.”

He started laughing while pulling me back down on his lap. “Oh, sweetheart, you have no choice but to make me what I want. Remember our bet— Ah, shit! Damn, Peaches, I’m just fuckin with you, man. You punch me like that again I’mma knock yo ass out, those bony fingers hurt.

“Get yo ass off me.” He rubbed his chest. I stared at him, trying to figure out if he was being serious or not. He soon answered my unasked question. “I’m dead ass serious, yo ass hit like a nigga. I’mma hit yo ass one good time and lay you the fuck out, real shit.”

I rubbed his chest. “Want me to kiss your chest and make it feel better?” That playful glint was back as he scooted down in his seat slightly with me still sitting on his lap.

“N’all, not my chest, it don’t hurt no more. But you can kiss something else and make him feel better.” His hips pushed up as he held me to him, causing his hard dick to press more into my ass.

“Jerron, yo nasty ass, let me go.” I hit him in the chest. I didn’t get a chance to move off of him because he pulled me back.

“How’s that nasty? We grown as fuck, sixty-nine isn’t sounding too bad right now,” Ron said against my lips while his hands squeezed my ass.

He was so damn mannish, but that was something I liked about him. Jerron had all these different sides to him and he wasn’t afraid to show any of them. He was rough when he needed to be, sweet, funny and he wasn’t afraid to take up for himself or anyone he cared about.

  “Sixty-nine?” I whispered with a raised brow.

“Mhm, I’ll even let you sit on my face, if I remember correctly you love riding—” Ron was saying, causing heat to rush to my cheeks at the thought of someone over hearing him.

Then he was quickly cut off.

“Your face? I don’t know about y’all, but that sounds dangerous? How would she ride your face if you don’t mind me asking?”

Looking over my shoulder to where the voice came from, I stared at Britt.

  Chapter 32

  Peaches

  Fuck!

  Dammit!

My eyes widened and I hurriedly jumped off of Jerron’s lap. In my rush to get up, I spilled his drink into his food.

“Oh, my God. I’m sorry, I’ll go make you another plate and get you a drink—” I rambled, freaking out inside like I had been caught doing something wrong. I wasn’t, but I didn’t want Britt to see me with Jerron, not yet anyways. She still wasn’t over the fact that Blaze and I weren’t together anymore.

“Peaches, calm down, it’s all good.” Ron pulled me into the seat next to him before looking at Britt laughing. “Didn’t mean for you to hear all that and it’s a very dangerous thing to do,” he told her, making Britt’s eyes roll. Her whole posture screamed attitude as she stared from me to Ron. She was trying hard not to glare, but she was failing.

“So who are you?” Britt asked with an attitude which had him looking at me.

“Jerron, this is Brittany, Britt this is my friend Ron.” I introduced. Ron being the gentlemen he was smiled at Brittany as he held out his hand.

  “What’s up, Brittany? It’s
nice meeting you.” Britt looked from his hand to his face before rudely rolling her eyes and ignoring him completely. “Alright,” Jerron mumbled.

“Have you talked to my brother? He came to the house last night asking about you,” she said before looking at Ron. “My brother is Blaze, her boyfriend. They are so cute together. I have pictures, you wanna see?” She pulled out her iPhone.

“Brittany, for real?” I gave her a look that clearly asked what the hell was she doing?

“What? I’m just asking a question,” she stated, feigning innocent which I wasn’t buying.

“No, you’re not. You’re being messy, so stop it. Ain’t yo ass supposed to be at school anyways?”

Again she rolled her eyes. “We get out early on Monday’s, you know that?” She told me before glaring at Ron. “So you’re her friend? Do you know my brother? Don’t answer that. It’s clear you don’t because if you did you wouldn’t be stupid enough to be here with her. Let alone kissing her or offering to let her ride your face. If you were smart and knew what was best, you’d stay away from her.”

She did not just threaten him. What the hell?

  This is beyond embarrassing. “Brittany!”

Ron laughed it off. “It’s cool, Peaches. She can say what she wants, man, I ain’t messed up about it. Shorty, you scaring me though with that mean ass look.”

“Blaze gon’ be scarier when he beats yo ass, just saying,” again she smarted.

Ron was finding it entertaining where as I was embarrassed. I couldn’t believe she was actually doing that.

“Jerron, it’s not funny. Britt, you need to chill the fuck out, for real. This shit you pulling ain’t cool. Blaze and I aren’t together, now stop trying to make it seem like we are. Go find your little friends and go back to school. You only get out of school early on Wednesday’s. So stop what you’re doin’.” Pissed couldn’t begin to explain how I was feeling. What she was doing wasn’t cool.

I always said they were one sided as hell. Blaze could do his dirt, but when I was trying to move on it was like I was at fault when I wasn’t.
