To be honest, I was actually very nervous in getting The Blood Alchemist Chronicles series out. This is because it’s my first ever young adult fantasy fiction with a mashup of a whole lot of other subgenres such as supernatural, superpower, mystery and romance, and I don’t know if readers are going to like it or not. Hopefully, you and other readers will, indeed, like it.
How The Blood Alchemist Chronicles Came About
The idea of The Blood Alchemist Chronicles came to me one night after I’d binge watched a whole lot of anime series (Kuroshitsuji, Shingeki no Kyojin, Tokyo Ghoul, Owari no Seraph, Bungo Stray Dogs, Noragami, and a whole lot of others). Yeah, okay, I’m still a kid at heart and simply love to watch anime and read manga. LOL! What can I say? I have three flying stars in my BaZi chart, which means I will most likely never grow up in that regard.
So, back to The Blood Alchemist Chronicles, the anime inspired me to write a series set in an alternate Victorian era where paranormal creatures exist, along with a good dose of cozy mystery, action, super power, and romance. And voila, the blood alchemist was born.
In my mind, I have plans for more books featuring different groups of blood alchemists set in different eras; hence, there will be more series in the future. Please look forward to it.
