Mr. Lucky: A Bad Boy Billionaire Romance

by Jackson Kane

Finally the clock struck midnight. It was officially his birthday.

It wasn’t a perfect life. He didn’t make his financial goal, and there would be a lot of legal stuff in the future over what Aaron Miller tried to do. Then there was finishing the heavily debted stadium and making that profitable.

All those problems felt so manageable now that we were together. We could help each other, and really bring the town together. This was a new chapter in the book of Caldwell Hope. It was a brighter day, and a brighter future.

“Happy birthday, Garrett,” I said, wrapping my arms around him and squeezing him tightly. “I’m sorry you didn’t hit your goal of thirty billion by thirty.”

“I realize now that it was just another distraction.” He hugged me, careful not to hurt any of his still healing ribs. “It wouldn’t have made me happy.”

“Are you happy now?” I looked up at him.

His azure blue eyes burned into me. “More than I’d ever thought possible.”
