Gabriel looked at Safina with wonder in his eyes. “I can feel her.”

  “Isn’t it wonderful?” Safina asked.

Gabriel answered her with a kiss, soft at first, but then strong and steady. His love and gratitude poured through her, infusing her soul with happiness.

After he broke the kiss, Safina looked into his eyes once more. “I love you, Gabriel.”

He smiled, running his hand across her stomach. “And I will always love you, mi amor, for this eternity and the next.”

Fiona knelt beside them. “Forgive me, daughter, but I feel the pull of another.”

“Aye, Mother.” Safina beamed up at Fiona, any remnants of bitterness toward the dragon queen washed away with the promise of new life. “Your grandchild grows inside me.”

Fiona clasped her hands together. “Oh, my dear daughter.” She kissed Safina’s forehead.

Duncan joined them and kissed Safina as well before taking Fiona in his arms.

They sat that way for many moments, silently reflecting on their joys and sorrows while the fire slowly faded.

Abby marched up to them, kicking sand on Safina’s dress. “There are many wounded left to heal.” She said impatiently. “The people of Galveston need us.”

Gabriel stood and held a hand down to Safina. “Then let us go home.”

“Aye,” Safina said, wrapping her arms around him. “Home.”

  THE END.

  A Message from Tara West

  Dear readers,

I hope you enjoyed my Dawn of the Dragon Queen saga. These books were originally meant to be one novel, but when I realized the book would be over 120K words, I decided to split it in half.

I began writing this story eight years ago, after I’d dreamt my daughter and I were dragons hiding at the bottom of a lake while knights armed with spears kept watch. At the time, I was suffering from an unknown debilitating illness, and my dreams reflected my fear of dying and leaving my child without a mother. I was able to pour my emotions into this story, using Fiona to channel my distress.

After diagnosis, and while I was learning how to manage my autoimmune disease (Hashimoto’s), I set this story aside, as it was too mentally draining to continue. It was only after my critique partner, Jolene, asked me to finish, that I picked it up again. I’m glad I did. Finishing this story has been both emotionally and spiritually cleansing, and I’m so humbled and grateful that you took this journey with me.

I have a lot in store for my readers in 2016, including a spinoff of my Something More Series featuring Cesar Cruz. If my Dragon Queen novels are received well, I may write more books in this saga.

Please sign up for my newsletter at www.tarawest.com and as a thank you, I will send you a free download of books one through three in my paranormal Whispers series.

As always, I appreciate honest reviews at the site where you purchased this book.

  Blessings,

  Tara
