“I’m really curious to see it myself, but that’s not all we’re going to do, is it?”

“Nope. I’m gonna punish you, Nickie.”

“But what about all the extenuating circumstances?”

“I’ll be takin’ those into account, and I don’t need to repeat everythin’ I just said, do I?”

  “No,” she sighed.

“Go on upstairs and change into a skirt and flat shoes, then meet me in the garage.”

  “Okay.”

  “That should be, Yes, Sir.”

“Yes, Sir,” she repeated, feeling the flush across her face and the fresh wave of churning in her stomach.

“Go on then, go get changed.”

He watched her rise from the table, and as she moved up the stairs he cleared the dishes, loaded them in the dishwasher, then headed out to the garage. By the time she returned he’d stowed the necessary supplies in the truck and was waiting behind the wheel.

“Is this okay?” she asked as she climbed in.

He stared at the simple white pleated skirt and lemon shirt and nodded.

“It’s perfect. You know I’m gonna spank you.”

  “Yes, Sir.”

“You don’t have any doubt that you deserve it, right?”

“I guess not,” she groaned. “I shouldn’t have taken off, I should have listened to Gina, I should have kept my phone on me, I should have done a bunch of things differently.”

“There you go. If you’re not sure it’s deserved, then we’d need to have to a serious talk. No sense punishin’ you if you don’t know why you’re bein’ punished,” he finished.

Starting up the truck he backed it out of the garage and drove towards the dirt road, and as they passed the barn and turned up the hill evidence of the tumult began to appear.

“It feels weird going up here,” she remarked, “and look at all the branches and stuff. My gosh, they’re everywhere. Will we be able to make it all the way up?”

“Jeb and Ben cleared the road when they did the area around the house and barn,” he replied, “so you can imagine what it was like before they got up here. When I brought you and Gina back down I didn’t know if we were even gonna make it home. It was one of the worst Devil Winds I’ve ever seen.”

She gazed out at the calm lake below, the sun sparkling off the water, and the people enjoying the day as they walked the lakefront path.

“It’s hard to believe how violent it was,” she said quietly. “It’s so beautiful now.”

They approached the top of the hill, and as he moved over the crest on to the pad he let out a low whistle.

“I have never seen it like this,” he declared staring at the mess. “Not ever, and look, isn’t that a door off your Lexus?”

  “Fu…sorry…holy crap, it is.”

“Do you have any idea how lucky you are to be alive?” he said grimly, turning around and locking her eyes.

“I do,” she whispered. “There were times I didn’t think I’d make it out, but seeing this, it truly was a miracle.”

“Yep, it was a miracle, and miracles don’t happen very often, so I’m gonna make sure we don’t need another one.”

The butterflies began a polka as he slowly navigated his way through the debris, driving across the pad towards the trees. As they drew closer the carnage increased, and they saw her car on its side smashed against one of the larger pines.

  “Oh, my, gosh,” Nickie breathed.

“You could’ve been in that car if Gina hadn’t made you jump out,” he said gravely, and pulling the truck to a stop he turned off the engine.

“I looked up at one point and saw it being blown over here,” she muttered.

Stepping out, he reached behind his seat and retrieved a sleeping bag and some rope.

“Come on, Nickie, outta the truck.”

Climbing down on to the grass she followed him to a tree, and though filled with curiosity as he flapped open the bag, she didn’t ask any questions.

“Hold this up against the tree up at head level, press your body and face against it, then wrap your arms around the trunk.”

She gazed at a him, the penny dropping.

Oh, shit, he’s using the bag to protect me from any scrapes from the rough bark. He’s going to tie me around that tree.

  “Quickly,” he said sharply.

Stepping over the strewn branches she did as he instructed, and once in position he tied her wrists together; with her face to the side she had an unobstructed view of the pandemonium.

“I’m gonna spank your butt as you look at the chaos,” he said sternly. “I hope, bein’ punished in the place that could have cost you your life, and Gina’s too, will make the point very clear.”

“It’s already very clear,” she lamented.

“Good, I’m glad to hear it. Now it will be even clearer, won’t it, Nickie?”

  “Yes, Sir,” she groaned.

“Keep your eyes open, and think about that as I tan your butt.”

His words sent her pulse racing, and when she felt him unzip her skirt and it dropped to the ground, her heart skipped a beat, and her fluttering butterflies turned into flapping sparrows. Moments later his fingers slipped into the waistband of her panties, and she cringed as he slid them down her legs.

“Don’t try to step out of them,” he directed, “leave them around your ankles.”

“Yes, Sir,” she whimpered, and holding her breath she waited anxiously for the first slap, but he was not so predictable.

“Now,” he said sternly, walking around to face her, “you’re gonna to stay there for a few minutes and truly consider what you did. You’re gonna think about the entire episode, the choices you made, what you could have and should have done differently. I’ll be back shortly.”

“Where are you going? You’re not leaving me here?”

“I’ll be in my truck, and of course I wouldn’t leave you,” he frowned. “You do as I say. Think, Nickie. You spend too much time reactin’, and not enough time thinkin’.”

She watched him amble across to his truck and climb inside, and as felt the exposure of her vulnerable, naked backside waiting for its punishment, she stared out across the havoc created by the winds.

You’re right, Beau, I was a total idiot, and I deserve whatever you have in store for me.

  CHAPTER THIRTY

Nickie wasn’t the only one eyeing the devastation; sitting in his truck Beau was studying the landscape. He had lived through many windstorms but had never witnessed the carnage surrounding him.

“This sure can’t be cleaned up in day,” he muttered. “How the hell did Nickie and Gina survive this?”

The sheer panic he’d felt when he’d driven up to the crest of the hill to rescue them was something he’d never experienced before, and staring at the scene reminded him of the shards of icy fear that had gripped his heart. Not only had the winds been horrendous, he didn’t know what George would find when he disappeared over the crest and on to the flat pad. It had felt like an age before he’d finally received George’s text: both safe, start the winch.

It had been almost impossible to open his door against the ferocity of the gale, he had continuously mumbled a constant prayer that Gina and Nickie were unharmed, and his heart had never pounded so hard or as fast as it did during the almost unendurable ordeal.

Glancing across at her he took a deep breath to settle himself. Though he was making her wait to accentuate his point and to elevate her anticipation, the sight of her car smashed against a nearby tree had shaken him, and he needed some time to regain his composure.

Finally satisfied that he felt appropriately calm and Nickie had waited long enough, he picked up the riding crop hidden under his seat; it was the one she’d given him. It was short and fat, and the leather tongue at the end was oversized and shaped like a heart. He’d tested it on his thigh, and when delivered with a flick of the wrist it carried a considerable sting.

Slipping from the truck he carried i
t in front of him so she could see it as he approached, and as he neared he could see the apprehension in her eyes; standing at her side he began sliding the wide piece of leather across her waiting cheeks.

“What do you have to say for yourself?” he asked quietly, his voice at her ear as he continued moving the crop against her skin.

“I, uh, what you said before was right.”

  “Tell me, exactly.”

“I should never have left the house without my cell phone, and I shouldn’t have left the house anyway, I should have waited for Tyler and George to arrive. Gina said I shouldn’t go but…”

“But you did what you do best, you didn’t listen,” he said firmly, and without warning slapped the leather heart directly in the center of her seat.

“OWWW, no, Sir,” she gasped, “I didn’t listen.”

He swatted her again, three times in rapid succession.

“Keep goin’,” he said calmly. “What else?”

“Oh, oh, that stings,” she whimpered.

“Keep goin’, don’t make me ask again.”

“In the barn, when I saw him, Gerald, I should have barricaded the door and just waited for Tyler and George, like Gina said. It was just my crazy head that said that Gerald had somehow gotten in their way. It was stupid. All I had to do was be patient for five minutes.”

“Patience, there you have it. You will learn to be patient, young lady,” Beau said sternly, landing several hard smacks.

She tried to kick out, but the panties around her ankles prevented her from doing so, and she squirmed against the sleeping bag as the prickling heat radiated through her bottom.

“Patience,” he repeated landing another swat, “next time you’re impatient you’ll feel this crop again, understand?”

  “Yes, Sir,” she groaned.

  “Continue.”

“Ooh, Sir, my ass is burning.”

“Continue,” he said sternly, “or do you need more smacks to keep you talkin’?”

“NO, NO,” she exclaimed urgently, “when we were driving up the hill Gina kept telling me to go back but I refused, and when we got to the top there wasn’t anywhere we could turn around, but then I wanted to because the wind was so terrifying. It was rocking the car, and I thought if I drove a little way on to the pad I could turn around. She warned me, she begged me not to do it, and of course she would know, she’s lived here for years, but I decided…I decided…”

“You decided you knew better, because Nicole Harris always knows better, Nicole Harris is smarter than anyone else, isn’t she?”

“No,” she bleated, “I admit, I used to think that way, but I don’t anymore, I swear I don’t.”

Beau could see she was near tears, but not from the leather heart; her guilt and shame were surging through her, and the only way to vanquish them was through discipline.

“That’s why you need to be punished, isn’t it Nickie, for all those things you just talked about?”

  “Yes, Sir,” she mewled.

  “Ask me.”

“Oh, Sir,” she stammered, “please will you punish me for not thinking before acting, and for being impatient and not listening, and…uh…for being so arrogant.”

“Arrogant, is that what you think? You’ve been arrogant?”

“Yes, Sir,” she said softly, “I realize now I’ve been arrogant for a long time.”

Leaning forward he kissed her neck, then her cheek, then slightly turning her head he dusted her lips.

“I’m real proud of you right now,” he murmured.

  “You are?”

“You just admitted the truth about yourself, your behavior. That’s huge, sweet girl.”

“I feel so guilty,” she whispered, “if I’m ever arrogant again will you please, uh, handle it?”

“You can count on it,” he said softly. “You ready for your punishment?”

  “Yes, Sir,” she whimpered.

“Hold this between your teeth,” he said lifting the crop to her mouth.

She gratefully closed her mouth around the rolled leather rod. He would be smacking her hot, stinging skin, and to have the crop to bite down on was a blessing; his palm was already smoothing itself over her cheeks and the tops of her thighs.

This is so strange. I hate this and I love it. How is that possible?

Beau intended to start slow and hard, then accelerate, but as his practiced hand began to spank her full, round, red cheeks, he changed his mind; he would keep a single pace and finish with a volley from the leather heart.

As he dispatched his slaps from cheek to cheek she uttered her muffled ouch’s and ow’s, but when he began landing the swats on the backs of her thighs, she wailed in protest. He landed a dozen or so hard smacks before returning to her cheeks for a final visit, then satisfied his hand had done its work he took the crop from her mouth.

“Sir! OWWW! Sir! It hurts, please, I’m sorry, really, I’ll behave!” she bleated.

“I know you’re sorry, Nickie, but this is punishment, and punishment must be just that, punishment. It’s supposed to hurt, you have to remember this.”

“I will,” she quivered, “I will, I swear.”

Stepping back he studied her burnt backside. It was crimson, with some dark splotches, and he knew it would carry its tenderness through to the next day.

“Next time you feel like being haughty and self-centered you’d best think about this. I won’t hesitate to repeat it if I have to.”

Laying the leather heart against her seat he landed a dozen rapid-fire swats, making her squeal and wriggle furiously, then throwing aside the crop he quickly untied her wrists and pulled her into his chest.

“Naughty Nickie,” he purred, holding her with one arm and smoothing her seared bottom with the other.

  “Thank you,” she moaned.

“I love you, sweetheart, and this was a real valuable lesson.”

He rocked her for several minutes, then slipped his fingers into her sex.

“Oh, girl, you are drippin’. I’m gonna take you home and lay you on our bed. Do you know why I’m gonna give you some pleasure? I usually don’t when spankin’ is about proper punishment.”

“No, Sir, I don’t know,” she whimpered staring up at him.

“Because you told me the truth, all of it, even admittin’ somethin’ I didn’t ask for.”

Moving his lips to hers he kissed her, an ardent, demanding passionate kiss, a kiss that took her breath away, that stirred her soul, that sent a fresh wave of sexual heat through her pussy, a kiss that told her how deeply he loved her.

“I forgot to tell you,” he whispered, “I got our tests back yesterday, and we’re both clean.”

  “Beau, you mean?”

“Yep, when we get home I’m gonna slide my naked cock deep inside you, baby, and I’m gonna screw your brains out.”

“Ooh, did you have to say that? I don’t think I can wait the five minutes it’ll take to get us home.”

  “Then we won’t,” he purred.

Grabbing the sleeping bag that had fallen to the ground he flipped it out and let it settle, then taking her by the hand he pulled her down with him, rolling her on her back.

  “OUCH”

“That your sore butt?” he grinned. “I think we might go ridin’ this afternoon.”

  “What?”

“I’ll put an English saddle on Trixie and teach you the two-point.”

  “Good grief, what’s the two-point?”

“It gets you balancin’ up and outta the saddle. Seems to me you’d be in just the right frame of mind.”

“Maybe I would, but you needn’t look so pleased with yourself,” she quipped, then quickly added, “sorry, I didn’t mean that, it just came out.”

“Damn, girl, already with the back talk? You wouldn’t be askin’ for more, would you?”

“No, no,” she answered wide-eyed. “The only more I want is-”

“I know what you want,” he interrupted moving his lips to her ear.
<
br />   As his lips journeyed across her neck and down to her breasts she moaned loudly, lost in her erotic fever. Straddling her body he sat up, unbuttoned her shirt, and was delighted to find she was naked.

“Naughty Nickie,” he teased. “No bra?”

  “Must I confess?” she sighed.

  “Yep.”

“I thought I might be able to tempt you out of whatever you had planned, but you didn’t even notice.”

“I’m noticin’ now,” he murmured roaming his hands across their lusciousness to tweak her nipples.

“I want you so much,” she groaned, “so much I can hardly stand it.”

His cock was pressing urgently against his trousers, and standing back up he quickly stripped, then stretched out on top of her.

“What happened to those panties around your ankles?” he asked as she wrapped her legs around him.

“I have no idea,” she muttered, wriggling as he placed himself at her entrance.

“Good answer,” he growled, and gripping her hips he thrust himself home.

The feel of his naked cock inside her hot, wet tunnel, was beyond his expectation, and he groaned loudly as he began to stroke, every nerve in his body sparking him forward. Closing his eyes he surrendered to the visceral pleasure, and was shocked at how quickly his climax began to hover.

“You feel exquisite,” she whimpered. “It’s like heaven.”

“It is heaven,” he muttered slowing his pace, and staying buried in her succulent channel he lowered himself gently on top of her.

“Beau,” she whispered, “I never want to leave here.”

“You mean, here under the trees, or here, Lake Shimwah?”

“I mean here, under you, with you, possessed by you,” she murmured. “I belong here, I can feel it. Please don’t let me screw this up.”

“Not a chance, sweet girl, not a chance.”

  EPILOGUE

It was the following afternoon, and climbing into Betsy they began the drive up to her house for the first time since the wind storm.

“Do you think there will be much damage?” she asked.

“Hard to say. Your site has a different angle than the ranch and it’s not sittin’ on top of a knoll, so hopefully it might have be spared the worst of it. We’ll find out soon enough.”
