Enacting Revenge Page 13

“Oh shit,” he hissed, totally excited she would talk dirty to him too.

And his answer was yes. I enjoyed watching as I ate my fill. The hormones coming from us must have been a lot because Bacchus was banging his consort on the table moments later, and Cameron went off to find her own fun.

“This is an interesting party, Soraya,” Andrew commented as he walked by and I was enjoying Hunt pleasing my friend. “Wow.”

I snorted. “We’ve not even gotten to the wild weekend fun where we really blow off steam.”

“I think I had over a dozen from those in elder entourages where your pet is that Saturday alone,” Sangria admitted. “I was trying them out to see who I’d screw that night.”

  “Who won?” Andrew asked.

“None of them. I ended up having fun with two enchanters who were helping with the event. They were very lovely and attentive.” She moaned as she finished, giving me a sated smile when she was done. “Are you willing to share him tomorrow? I could see having some fun with the pup on the beach.”

“We’ll see how good he is,” I chuckled. “I might really melt his brain with sex.”

“What a way to go,” Hunt groaned as he moved back to me. He kissed his bite, nothing more, but gave me a look that held a lot of promise.

I decided to be nice and muttered the spell so he felt like I was giving him a blow job. He buried his face against my leg to muffle his pleasure, which amused both Andrew and Sangria.

When it was time, the night turned somber, and Colin had no final words. It was on me as the accuser, but I gave it to Victor, much to everyone’s shock.

“For using the charm to come to my aid today, not knowing what danger I was in,” I told him and everyone else. “I can’t give you a bite of me in thanks, so I give you the kill that is mine.”

“I thank you for it,” he muttered, dipping his head.

I also did it because I knew he would just do it. No show, not theatrics, and sure enough, he sank his fangs in Colin and drained what was left.

“May your judgement in life not follow you in death,” he said quietly, wishing Colin a peaceful afterlife.

After that, the party was pretty much over. The other hawk elder would handle Colin’s body, and the rest of us were ready to call it a night after carrying out the sentencing of one of our own.

The hormones had cooled by the time we were back at my apartment. Instead of by the fireplace, the three of us took a nice bath and soaked up the good of what I put in the water along with what had happened for the day.

“How do you really feel?” Hunt asked when we were getting out.

“In shock,” I answered honestly. “He’s really gone. He can’t hurt me ever again. I’ve been afraid of him my whole life, and even if I knew I would have to face him, I truly never thought I would win. That’s where I’m at. Shocked I won.”

“Thank you for being honest,” Brax praised, kissing my hair. “I cannot read your mind, nor can he. We ask out of worry, and whatever you feel is what’s right for you. We won’t judge.”

“You’re just trying to help, I know, thank you.”

And I meant it. I had no idea how to process and deal with it all, and I hadn’t even started on my mother waiting to speak to me. That would… I had no idea what it would be like.

I wasn’t sure I was ready for it, but keeping her on this plane any longer when she’d been trapped here so long was cruel. Then again, she’d been trapped a thousand years; was a week really going to be a big deal while I wrapped my head around it?

And then I put that issue back on the mental shelf, as I was clearly not ready to handle it yet. No, it was the time for sleep and blowing off some steam.

  Maybe more than some.

  Fine, a lot of steam.

Okay, so a fuck ton of steam.

For at least three days, maybe more.

Was there a limit to how much steam one person could blow off? I was pretty sure I had a thousand years of it saved up. I didn’t think that would fit into one three day weekend.

I managed more sleep than I would have thought. Both of them were keenly in tune with me, Hunt licking my face when I woke or Brax kissing my shoulder until I dozed back off. It was super sweet, and honestly they were worming holes through my protective walls when I didn’t have the energy to fight against it.

A familiar tingle running up my spine woke me, and I sighed, making my phone appear. It buzzed seconds later, and it was our PI dispatcher telling me another murder needed my attention.

“It’s fine,” I told them both as I sat up and stretched. “I’ll see you both at The Resort for mimosas and start the fun.” I crawled out of bed and used the bathroom before using my magic for the rest. I popped over to the location and gave everyone standing there a dirty look. “Is it time for me to call my federal contacts, as my contract is with them?”

“You’re implicated this time,” one of the cops snapped.

I raised an eyebrow at that and went over to the body, thanking the officer when they lifted the sheet for me. I blinked at the poor man who’d been killed and then back at the cop who’d spoken. “Are you having a laugh?” I looked at the mayor and police chief. “Please tell me you aren’t seriously treating me as a suspect because someone left a bloody wand by the body like I see the kids have around Halloween?”

“No, of course not,” the mayor assured me, looking as angry as I felt. “It’s clearly the work of the same person. The frogs are what—”

“We don’t use frogs in any magic,” I seethed. “Enchanters don’t use animals in their magic at all. Casters can kill animals for magic, but it’s never a bloody frog. That’s like an ounce of chi. They kill a cow or goat or whatever larger animal for the boost.” I gestured back to the five dead frogs around the body. “Those looked crushed. They weren’t used in any magic.”

“How would you know? Use them often?” that same cop threw at me.

“Child, I just said I didn’t,” I drawled. “And I’m the Enchantress. Of course I can tell if magic was used. The only magical anything here is me, and I promise you I have an alibi for whenever this was done because I haven’t been alone in days with the tribunal going on.”

“How many were sharing your bed?” he sneered.

I waved my hand and put tape over his mouth along with giving him crabs. “The angel I’m dating slept over after doing what we needed to as elders. I don’t answer to you, you bloody git, so sod off.” I looked at the mayor. “It was done by a human. I’m done with this shite, and I am not subjecting my people to this sort of abuse to work Chicago cases. Handle it however, but if the next time I’m called upon isn’t vastly different, it will be the last time.”

“I understand, Ms. Devil, I do,” he sighed, scrubbing his hand over his head. I knew he did, so I didn’t push it, but enough was enough. I got he was in a tight spot, but I had people to protect too.

I popped away to The Resort and changed my outfit for breakfast, a super short wrap skirt and a backless long sleeve light sweater that made it clear I wasn’t wearing a bra and flip flops. I almost tripped over my feet when I saw what was on hand for breakfast. I burst out laughing and went over to Keegan, giving him a smacking kiss on the lips.

  “It could have been Helen.”

“Only you are so cheeky,” I praised. I linked arms with him, and we went to the massive bloody mary fountain on the terrace and then hit the grilled cheese food truck that was making delicious morning options for us.

“We all went a bit cheeky today because you need the fun,” Helen informed me. “Even the ancient nest helped. People are worried about you, boss.”

“I’ll be fine. I always am,” I promised her. “Let’s just have too much fun.”

Everyone agreed, and I filled them in on the newest murder, their reactions hysterical to the Harry Potter wand and dead frogs. It was not only stupid but offensive.

I saw a lot of smiles and excitement coming from my coven, wondering what else they
d been up to and plotting. I was shocked there wasn’t the donut truck or something sweet again, as all of my teeth were sweet and so were most supes’.

I greeted Victor and his nest along with a lot of other guests… And a frowning Brax.

“A bunch of my siblings invited themselves after I declared I intend to mate you,” he explained, gesturing to the group of angels behind him.

“Right, welcome, help yourself and have fun,” I said, giving them a wave before heading for more food, much to their shock.

Yeah, well, they were uninvited and I so, so wasn’t playing any games at the moment.

  Unless they were drinking games.

“Did someone set up the drinking games?” I checked, glad when Keegan nodded.

“What drinking games?” Hunt asked as he joined us.

“You’ll see,” I purred, giving him a smirk. “You’ll like them.”

Everyone finished eating and getting the breakfast drinking done then went to change and bring what they needed as my coven sent back the food trucks and cleaned up. We met in the lobby, and I unlocked the spell on the island before bringing all the elders and ancient nest with me. My people started bringing others and would check to make sure we got everyone. The second I felt the warm sun, I angled my head to catch more of it.

I turned towards the stretch of sand and brought all of the items from storage. Day beds, cabanas, large umbrellas, and the tiki bar appeared along with the large crates full of beach towels and even bottle after bottle of bespelled sunscreen. Then I brought over all the water fun including the inflatable slides, floats, and even the jet skis for the adults.

To finish, I flicked my wrist and changed into a see through white micro bikini that really covered nothing, and put Hunt and Brax in faltering swim shorts.

“Shots!” Cameron called out as one of my coven appeared with a huge tray of Jello shots.

I burst out laughing when I saw a small gummy fish in the cups, getting that today would probably have a theme. I nodded and looked at Sangria. “Shot?”

She took one and slurped it down. “Lips.”

“Gladly,” I agreed, moving over to her. She kissed me as she groped my ass, smiling widely at me when we parted.

“So that’s the game?” Hunt asked, clearing his throat.

“Yes, you give the shot, and if they accept it, they get to choose where you kiss them. If you don’t want that, don’t take the shot.”

“But if you take the shot and don’t do the kiss, you don’t play the game again,” Cameron warned. She looked at Jerome. “Shot?”

His eyes flashed shock, but he nodded. He was a gentleman and kissed her hand, which seemed to amuse a lot of us.

“Shot?” Andrew asked me, heat filling his eyes when I nodded.

Idiot. I took the shot and then lifted my foot. “Big toe.” I smirked at him when he frowned. “Kiss it or you can’t play anymore, Andrew.”

He ground his jaw but knelt down and kissed my toe, most of his coven finding it amusing. “I still got a great view.”

“Shot?” Hunt asked me before I could give a scathing remark.

I nodded and took the shot, moving over to him. “Kiss my ass, pup.”

“Gladly,” he moaned, kneeling down and kissing each cheek to be a brat. “Shit, Soraya, this is like the best game ever.”

“It’s Sangria’s invention,” I chuckled. I made lotion appear when he stood, handing it to him. “Squirt on me, love?” I threw back my head and laughed when several people coughed or made other shocked noises. He accepted, and I offered Brax a shot, which he took and then kissed my neck as he helped Hunt lather me up.

Most of the shifters opted for no clothes at all as they picked day beds and settled themselves.

“Why can I endure this sun so well?” Bacchus asked me as he glanced up, his sunglasses on. “Aren’t we somewhere tropical?”

“Yes, but I love my coven, so there’s a UV filter spell that keeps out all the bad,” I explained. “You still need the protection to not burn, but there’s nothing that vampires are ultra sensitive to coming at us as long as you don’t go past a mile out in the ocean.”

“You truly are amazing, my dear friend,” he complimented, dipping his head at me. “If you could put that on your land in Peru on certain days, I would gladly send some of mine to help you as penance for their misbehavior.”

I nodded, thinking that was fair.

Hunt brought me a mermaid blended drink, and I smiled, loving that my coven had fun with this. As I sipped it, I saw the unflattering one piece Helen was wearing and sighed. I waved my hand and changed it to a sexy bikini that wasn’t as far over the line as mine.

“Soraya!” she hissed, covering herself with her hands.

“There are naked people all over the place, Helen,” I reminded her, gesturing out to the hundreds of people there.

“Do you ever play with Helen like you do Sangria?” Hunt asked, and at first I almost snapped at him, but I realized from his aura he was up to something.

I shrugged. “I would if she wanted. She’s beautiful.”

“Yes, she is,” he agreed, moving closer so we were almost sandwiching her.

I leaned in and gave her a peck as Hunt moved closer and brushed her hair off of her neck.

“No,” Tommy growled, and suddenly Helen wasn’t between us. “Just no.” He tossed Helen over his shoulder and growled again. “No, I’m not watching that.”

“Get naked,” I mouthed to Helen as she got toted off.

Her response was to flick me off as she demanded Tommy put her down.

“That was a very good thing you did, pet,” I praised Hunt, giving him a smoldering look. “One I will reward later.”

“Just have fun, and that’s all I want,” he murmured, leaning in and giving me a soft kiss. “And you not getting dressed.”

I smirked at him and used my power to toss him way out into the water like I had the last time we’d been to the island. He let out a yell and landed with a huge splash. I frowned when he didn’t immediately resurface. I waited another few seconds but then used my power to bring him back, horror filling me when several jellyfish came with him and he was covered in stings.

“Jerome!” I hollered as I put the jellyfish back into the water and knelt by Hunt. “Fuck, fuck, I forgot the nets.”

“I’m here,” Jerome said as a few other healers came over.

“I’m sorry, I’m so sorry, Remy,” I whispered, moving his head to my lap as I took in the damage.

“I’m okay,” he lied, wheezing in pain, his whole aura filled with it. “Lean in more.”

I did and growled, realizing I smothered him with my breasts. “You’re flirting now?”

“Just want to suck on them,” he murmured, groaning as the healing magic helped him.

“If you’re thinking there’s magical milk coming out of them to help, you’ll be waiting a while,” I drawled, kissing him instead. “I’m so sorry. I totally forgot. I was too bloody excited for the fun and forgot.”

“I smell donuts. Give me one and you’re forgiven.”

I glanced around and saw several of my coven setting up huge tables with all sorts of treats and fun. I waved over the one with the donuts, shaking my head as she told me they were mermaid donuts from some special bakery made with matcha. They were too awesome.

  And the donuts too.

I gave one to Hunt, and he gobbled it up as the healers finished. I moved him over to my day bed and thanked Jerome and the healers.

“I’d ask for a nurse outfit, but I like what you’re wearing better,” he teased me as I fussed over him.

I waved away the bikini. “I don’t care if I’m naked, Remy. Let me put in the nets, and I’ll be right back.”

“Please just bounce a bit when you walk away and back.”

“You are—I have melted your brain with sex,” I grumbled before storming off to the water.

“Oh gods, your ass is so fantastic,” he groaned, and I just shook
my head. Here he could have died from the jellyfish, there had been so many and so many stings on him, and he’s being a horn dog. Really, even I had limits.

  Some days.

I wiped my eyes as I surfaced from the water and popped onto the large lounger with canopy that Brax was still sitting on. We’d taken it out to enjoy the waves and have a bit of a snuggle. He smiled when I sat on his lap, totally naked and dripping all over him.

“Woman, you are too delicious,” he murmured, leaning in and kissing me.

“And yet you seem to be able to behave,” I teased him, noting his hands were at my waist.

He met my challenging gaze and slid his hands up to cup my breasts. “I’m not the only one being cautious and going slower than I normally would. You seem to enjoy challenging me to break first and beg to fuck you.”

“It’s sort of my thing,” I purred. “My last name is Devil.” I flinched, my snarky line I gave most not funny when he and the angels thought I was of Hades or my power came from him.

He didn’t let me go, leaning in instead and licking my nipples. “I absolutely agreed with Hunt, and your story sounds the reality. I will say neither of us were there to know the truth, but you are so far from evil even if you skirt the line most of us might never cross.”

“Love, you have no idea,” I murmured as I rocked my hips and rubbed myself against his naked dick. “There is darkness in me, a lot of it, but I focus my dark side and am careful on how I let it out. I love puppies and kids too much to be any other way.”

He nodded, letting go of my breasts and lying back, watching how my body moved. He licked his lips as the water helped me move in a perfect rhythm. “I think I’ve kept mine suppressed too long, as darkness has no place in an angel.”

I snorted. “It’s in all of us. Some of us have been touched by it more than others, and too many are of darkness, but all of us have both the good and bad. Even demons have lines they won’t cross.” I leaned in closer and rubbed my wet breasts over him as my hair dripped all over us. “I like the idea of us having fun and letting it out together.”

“Yes, I want to let it out all over you, Soraya,” he moaned, licking my tongue when I stuck it out at him. “Are you mad my siblings came?”
