Telepath

by Jolea M. Harrison

The metal rope snaked down from the belly of the ship near the cargo ramp coming out from the bottom hatch. About the same time, the enemy realized Dynan was escaping and opened fire on him. Two suppression shields activated, deflecting the lasers harmlessly away.

Dynan reached for the rope with Sheed connecting right behind him. The ship rose. The line retracted and the next moment, Dynan and Sheed were safely onboard the XR-30, which was gone from sight an instant later.

TELEPATH is dedicated in loving memory

to my father and mother, Doug and Fran Minnick

  and my sister, Lindy.

The author would like to thank her children, Kate and Ben, and her family – Coni, Bob, Uncle Bob, Mary, Kathy, Denny, Carmella, Rob, Terry and Conni, Ricky, and Malena the Mermaid. Without their support and assistance, these books would not be possible. Special thanks go to Heather Marie Adkins and Matthew Drummond – there from the beginning, to Indie Writers Unite and the Indie writer community, who without a doubt are the most supportive people on the planet, and to all the people who read the story and made it better with their valued suggestions. Extra special thanks go to my best friends Nanne Wright and Jenni Simpson, for always being there.
