She rose to her elbows as her lips parted slightly, and her gaze darkened. “Are you going to drizzle that on me?”

The way she questioned him made him realize that no one had ever done this with her before. Nothing tasted as delicious as chocolate covered pussy. “Hell yes. And then I plan to lick every ounce off of you…slowly.”

He placed a dabble of syrup on his finger and smeared it on his lips. Then he lowered himself to kiss her. She moaned as she tasted him and the chocolate. “I see the attraction,” she told him, grinning. “Drizzle away.”

She fell back onto the bed and stretched her arms up over her head. Her full round breasts parted slightly—her nipples were hard and arousing. He dripped a few drops on each erect tip and licked and sucked them clean. She rolled her hips as he hungrily devoured her breasts. He drizzled a trail of chocolate from her ribs to her pussy, parting her legs enough to see her swollen clit. When the cool chocolate touched her center, she shivered and his cock went ramrod straight. Like a beast, he hovered over her, dragging his tongue over every inch of her chocolate covered torso and pelvis. When he reached her pussy, he placed his hands on her thighs and shoved them up, opening her wide. He lowered his face to her clit and licked the chocolate from her, dragging his tongue, and teasing over her wet folds. Then he placed a finger into her wet pussy and fucked her deep and slow, watching as she nibbled her lips with his drilling motion. While he plunged his fingers inside her, he clamped his mouth around her clit and suckled gently, stopping only to flick his tongue feverishly, driving her closer to the brink. She grew slick and hot, her body quivering with each lick, each caress of his tongue. Then he smeared her slick juices over her anus and she didn’t object, only moaned. His cock grew harder at the idea of taking her this way. He’d never had the pleasure, but always fantasized about it. As willing and fearless as Layton was, would she allow him the chance to explore her this way?

She arched her head up to look down at him just as he glanced up at her. “What’s wrong?” she asked.

He hadn’t realized he changed what he was doing enough to alarm her. He hadn’t meant to, but thinking about fucking her ass had distracted him. “Nothing,” he said quickly, but she didn’t stop her intense glare from drilling into him. “I was thinking about your ass.”

She arched a brow. “What about it?”

“I”—he swallowed hard—“have you ever let a man fuck your ass?”

She shook her head. “No.” He sighed, swirling his finger around her clit and then shoving it back inside. “I’ve only done it with a dildo.”

  His eyes widened. “You have?”

  She nodded.

He reached down and stroked his cock. He was on the verge of exploding. “Would you let me?”

After a moment, she nodded. “You have to make me ready. We’ll need lubricant.”

He just happened to have a drawer full of lube. Jerking off had been his only form of release in a long damn time. He opened the drawer and pulled out two condoms and a purple bottle of lubricant.

“I think I can figure this out. Tell me if I do anything you don’t like.”

  She nodded. “Okay.”

He resumed his position between her legs, sucking her clit and fucking her pussy with two fingers. Then he grabbed the bottle of lube and put some on his fingers, swirling the jelly over her anus. At first, he used his pinky finger to work into her anus. Once he was sure she was comfortable, he switched fingers, all the while never stopping his assault on her clit. She squirmed delightfully against his mouth and he could taste how close she was to coming.

When he slipped his finger deep inside her anus while devouring her pussy, she gripped the back of his head. She was overly responsive, craving everything he was doing to her. His chest swelled with satisfaction. Even after tonight, he would never stop craving the flavor of her body. She was a gem, and he planned to cherish her for as long as he could.

A second finger inside her ass and she hissed out a breath and then surged right over the edge, her body quivering as she exploded against his mouth. He licked and sucked her until she begged him to stop. Then he placed a well-lubricated condom over his cock and she rocked her hips up as he came into position. Her fingers were on her pussy as he slowly worked his shaft inside her anus.

  “Go slow,” she whispered.

As gently as he could, he entered her, sliding down as far as he was able. He groaned, craning his neck back as her tightness enveloped him.

After a moment, she said, “Okay.”

He rocked his hips, driving in and out of her ass. Her fingers swirled over her clit and dove inside her slick pussy. “Oh!” she cried. “Feels so good.”

He filled her, staring down to watch his cock enter her body, relishing the wicked movements of her hand on her pussy. He was on sensory overload and about to explode. Never had a woman pleased him so much, driving him to euphoria the way Layton was.

“Layton!” he cried. “I’m going to come so fucking hard.”

  “Yes,” she hissed. “Me, too.”

Then her tempo picked up and her fingers feverishly circled her clit. She screamed out in release and Jaxson rocked his hips harder and faster, joining her in oblivion.

Spent, he held himself over top of her, his cock slipping from her body. He shook, his body overcome with heightened sensitivity. He met her gaze and smiled, then lowered himself to sample her mouth once again. Her cheeks were rose colored and her eyes heavy with exhaustion. She looked gorgeous.

“Shower?” he asked, moving from the bed and offering her his hand.

Rising up, she replied, “Sounds perfect.”

  Chapter Three

A week later and Layton was still blushing. Going to work at Iron Horse Saloon would hold new memories for her. The last time she was here, she’d gone home with Jaxson—the sexiest, most appetizing man she’d ever tasted. She still couldn’t believe how amazing her night with him had been, how freeing. He’d worshiped her, and given her pleasure she’d never experienced in her life. She caught herself scanning the tables in the bar to see if he’d ever make an appearance. It was funny, but she’d hoped that one day she’d see him again. Maybe that was why she’d been excited to go to work each night since.

“Morning, Layton,” Sam said, stepping up to the bar. “Thanks for coming in today to cover for Jace. He’s going to be helping me show the new restaurant manager around.”

“No problem. I’m glad to help.” I also glad for the extra money.

“Great. We have a staff meeting this afternoon. I’ll have Jace switch with you to cover so you can attend.”

“Sounds good.” She spotted a customer walking in. “I’ll be there with bells on.

Sam smiled and headed toward the back room where her office was. Layton grabbed two menus and assisted the customers that sat at the bar. During the early lunch time, she could handle the bar area on her own. Most folks weren’t looking for a beer to drink, just a quick meal so they could get back to work.

The day blazed on and she’d made some great tips. A spark of joy squeezed her heart as she thought about the money she’d saved and how close she was to getting that place of her own she dreamed about.

She was close to having the first and last month’s rent for a new place. She only hoped the apartment was still available when she achieved her financial goal.

Claire Buckman sauntered into Iron Horse, flashing her I’m a paralegal smile, and stepped up to the bar. Since graduating college, finding love, and landing the job of her dreams, her blue eyes seemed brighter. She brushed back her shoulder length blonde hair and tapped the counter.

“Am I late?” Claire asked, glancing down at her watch. “I’ve had so much to do today. I almost couldn’t get away.”

“You are on time as always,” she replied. “How’s Lacey?”

“Great. She and Nox are waiting for me to go play put-put-golf tonight. I’ve never played. I have a feeling they’re teaming up against me.”

  Lay
ton smiled. “That should be fun.”

Jace appeared from around the door leading into the main dining area. “You two about ready? The meeting’s going to start soon.”

“Been waiting on you,” Layton told him.

When Layton stepped into Sam’s office, she glanced at the small meeting table at the back of the room and smiled. Janie Tatum and Nobel Truce were already there. Claire took the next open seat. Layton moved over to sit near Jason Whitmore. He was the owner and operator of the original Iron Horse Saloon and her other boss. Layton enjoyed covering shifts whenever he needed help. The people that worked at his bar were family and she loved being part of that atmosphere.

“Howdy,” he said. “How’s it going?”

“Good,” she told him just before Sam stood up.

That was when Layton spotted the tall, well-built man leaning over Sam’s desk, looking over something with her. That was when the strangest feeling sank into the pit of her stomach.

“You okay?” Jason asked. “You look like you’ve seen a ghost.”

Layton swallowed hard. “I think I have.”

Jaxson turned around with a smile on his face. The look changed as he scanned his gaze over a horrified Layton.

  Oh, no. He can’t be.

In Layton’s view, job security was a must. Her stomach churned as she recalled her sacred rules for employment. Rule one: Never have sex with a boss. Rule two: Don’t jeopardize your job with sex.

  Fuck me, I’ve done both.

It didn’t matter that she didn’t know Jaxson was about to start working at Iron Horse Bar & Grill. How could she? What matter was that Jaxson was the new restaurant manager and likely to work with her during every one of her shifts.

He could be a real ass and get her fired. What if he expected a sexual relationship to continue? How was she going to deal with this? She couldn’t tell anyone. That would be too weird. Would her friends assume that she was getting special treatment because she was fucking him? Would they see that she’d earned it or deserved it because she worked hard?

She dug her fingers into her forehead and glanced away from Jaxson.

“Thanks for coming, everyone. Please welcome Jaxson Winters, our new restaurant manager. He starts tomorrow—”

Everything Sam said after that fell on deaf ears. All Layton heard was the pounding of her heart thundering at her temples. Her face was hot and her body quaked with anxiety.

How did I let this happen?

As soon as the meeting was over and Layton realized her friends were standing to leave, she bolted for the door. She prayed she’d get away before anyone noticed how out of sorts she was. She wasn’t that lucky.

“Layton, wait,” Jaxson said, his voice washing over her the same tantalizing way it had the night she’d spent with him.

Like her boots were filled with rocks, she stopped to face him. “What?” she barked.

“I hope you’re not angry with me.”

  “Angry? No. More like furious.”

“I didn’t do this to hurt you,” he argued. “We can work this out.”

She laughed dryly. “Can we? Last I checked most managers haven’t fucked their employees in the ass…literally.”

“Layton,” Jaxson started sympathetically. “I didn’t set out to hurt you? I didn’t even know you worked at Iron Horse.” He sighed. “Not until I saw you at the meeting.”

“Then what, you got excited thinking you could do me over the pool table on slow nights?”

He scowled. “Why would you say that?” he barked. “You’re being ridiculous about this.”

She was being ridiculous? She needed this damn job. She was desperate. She’d told him that. “Look, I’ll do my job and you do yours. Try not to…shit, I don’t know. Just leave me alone.”

“Layton,” he called after her, but she didn’t listen. She needed time to cool off, to brush off the panic that working with him would cause. It was one thing to see him up at Iron Horse. It was another to work for him—a man she’d slept with not but a few nights prior.

Tears burned hot down her cheeks, embarrassment flooding her face and chest. She ran for the bathroom, a place he couldn’t follow her.

  “Trouble in paradise?”

Layton whipped around to see Brynn standing in the bathroom behind her. She faced her. “Did you know that Jaxson was going to be my new manager when you told me to go talk to him?”

Brynn folded her arms over her chest. “No, but I did see how the two of you were hot for one another. Was I wrong?”

Layton frowned. “It doesn’t matter. Now everything is all screwed up.”

  “How so?”

She glared at Brynn. “Um, he’s my damn boss now.”

  “So?”

“How would you feel if Reid was your boss?”

Brynn quirked a brow. “Power play can be fun,” she teased with a wink.

“Damn it, Brynn. I’m serious. I don’t need this grief. I’m trying to get out of a mess already. I don’t need another one.”

“Don’t panic just yet. He might be a great boss.”

“And he might be my worst nightmare.”

Brynn hiked a shoulder. “Sounds like you need to put those big girl panties on and see how it goes for yourself.” She turned to leave, pausing at the door. “Or quit and find yourself stuck in the nightmare of your current living arrangements.”

That was not an option. The second Brynn vanished, Layton stared at herself in the mirror. She looked frightened, angry, and confused. She splashed water on her face, dried off, and headed for the bar. She sucked in a cleansing breath and pretended that her life wasn’t more in an upheaval and finished out the night.

She’d freak out later when she got home.

  * * * *

Jaxson dug his fingers into his hips directly above his jeans and stared in the direction Layton had vanished. He was burdened by the fallout he’d had with her. He wanted to chase her down, assure her that he wasn’t going to treat her any differently because of the night they had, but she wouldn’t let him. By the hate-filled glare in her eyes, he was sure she wanted to punch him, and lay him flat on his ass.

  Lord knows I deserve it.

Why had he not mentioned that his new job was at Iron Horse? How had he gotten so caught up in her that he’d never thought about anything else? Guilt riddled him, twisting his gut like a towel wringing out all the water it held.

How did this happen? I turned an amazing night into a nightmare.

“So,” Jason started, patting him on the shoulder, and pulling Jaxson from his troubling thoughts. “We’re not starting off on the right foot, are we? Want to tell me why Layton looked like she wanted to claw your eyes out?”

He raked his fingers through his buzzed hair, stalked back to Sam’s office, and plopped down into the chair he’d pulled out. “She hates me.”

“Layton doesn’t hate anyone. She’s one of a kind.”

“I know,” he replied with laughter. Not a joyous sound. “I met her at the bar a few nights ago. We had drinks.”

  Jason’s brow furrowed. “Just drinks?”

Jaxson glanced up at him, his expression saying what his words couldn’t. It really wasn’t anyone’s business but theirs. He trusted Jason. He and Daniel had always been like brothers to him.

“Oh,” Jason muttered. “Did I ever tell you about the time I secretly slept with my favorite employee’s sister?”

Jaxson slanted him a hard look. “I think I’d remember a story like that.”

“It made things pretty awkward at work. Hard to look a colleague in the eyes when you’re lying behind her back.”

“What did you end up doing?”

“We dealt with it,” Jason told him, leaning over the table. “Like adults. You and Layton will figure it out.” He paused. “Unless you keep sleeping with her, then we might need to figure something else out.”

“I don’t think that’s going to be a problem. She pretty much despises me.”

  J
ason chuckled. “Welcome to Texas, old friend.”

He curled his lip. “This is so not how I wanted things to start off.”

“I know, but it sure does make things interesting. I’m just glad I’m not the one screwing up this time.” He patted Jaxson on the shoulder. “I’ll leave that shit up to you.”

  He sighed. “Thanks.”

He heard the squeak of Sam’s chair and inclined his head to glance back. Sam was sitting at her desk with her arms folded over her desk, her eyes fixed on him. Daggers flew like missiles from her irritated gaze.

  “Seriously? How did this happen?”

“It just did,” he muttered, but loud enough for her to hear him. “I didn’t know she worked at Iron Horse.”

Sam stood, rounded her desk, and leaned her rear against the front of it. “Give it time. She’ll be okay. I’m sure it was a shock to discover you’re going to be working with her.”

Jaxson’s brow rose. “Is it possible to keep us in different areas? She stays in the bar, while I manage the restaurant side. At least until the awkwardness dies down.” He raised his hand, to keep Sam from answering right away. “I know its business. I just don’t want to make things worse.”

“That’s probably best. But you’ll soon find out that Layton is not only one of our best bartenders, she an amazing waitress. She’s also my go-to girl when I need someone to come in when we’re short staffed.”

He breathed a hard sigh. “Understood.”

“Now get out of here and get a goodnights rest. Tomorrow will be here before you know it and I expect us to be busy.”

Jaxson rose from his chair. “I’ll see you midmorning tomorrow.”

As he stalked down the dark wooded hallway to leave, he glanced over at the bar. Neon lights glowed above Layton’s head, reflecting in a giant, wall-sized mirror. She’d dusted off her distraught exterior and embraced the customers with warmth and smiles, as if she hadn’t been bothered at all by discovering he was the new manager. That all changed when she slanted a look at him. The furious heat of her disdain returned. It took less than a second for the cold glare to find another direction. Offering him her back, he got the message and headed for home.
