“No, it’s not that.” I shook my head. “Though it appears that we’re having a problem with Susan.”
“Yeah.” His face flushed. “She’s been messing up a lot recently. I’ve got her on probation.”
“We can discuss her later. Right now, let’s focus on Pippa. Go and get me her résumé. I want to have a look at it.”
“Yes, boss.” He nodded. “Anything else before I go and get it.”
“No.” I shook my head. “That’s it.” I watched as he walked out of the room and I wondered if he was wondering why I wanted to be part of this interview and not any of the others. I shrugged as I picked up my phone. It was none of his business. I was, after all, the boss. I could do what I wanted.
I was really curious to know what this Pippa was like in person. My interaction with her in the coffee shop had left me smiling. Women didn’t normally treat me like that. I liked a girl with a bit of verve.
