The Dark Moon Family Clan had come to Divine Martial Sect looking for him and challenged him to a Death duel. They had brought some youngsters with them to duel with him. In a Death duel, one side must die and Ryan had no choice but to accept the duel, as the reputation of the Heaven Sundering Family Clan was on the line.

His opponent would have the Cultivation Level in the same sub realm as him. So, the Senior generation of Heaven Sundering Family Clan couldn’t also interfere. It was unspoken rule amongst the factions of Grandura for the Senior generation to not interfere in the duels of the younger generation.

He was also contacted by his mother saying that he had to win in overwhelming manner at all costs. This would make sure that the Dark Moon Family Clan wouldn’t bother him regularly with Death duels. She and other at Heaven Sundering Family Clan were certain that he would win given the fact that he had taken care of Theon and his henchmen so easily.

He informed his grandfather about it and could tell that his grandfather was pissed off this time. Oscar told him to not start the duel until his arrival.

Ryan used a Teleportation circle in Divine Martial City to return to the Divine Martial Sect. He found that Raymond and Emerson were already waiting for him in the area where the Divine Martial Sect’s Teleportation circles were located.

Cynthia also arrived along with her Master soon afterwards. Ryan gave her smile, but she didn’t say anything except for looking intently at him, though Ryan could guess what was going on in her mind. Her appearance made many people shake their heads slightly. They felt a little pity for her, as she’d been suffering torture from the Dark Moon Family for quite a few years.

“I will duel with the Disciple of the Dark Moon Family Clan only after the arrival of my grandfather,” Ryan said. Raymond nodded his head, as that was no big deal.

“By the way, who am I going to fight?” Ryan asked.

“No idea. They intend to finish you off. So, they will send someone strong,” Emerson said with a dry laugh.

“I am OK with a surprise opponent. Let’s head to the venue for the duel,” Ryan said with a knowing smile. They had no idea what Ryan was thinking.

Ryan and the rest arrived at the Divine Martial Sect’s arena, which had been decided as the venue for the duel. The arena was like Hope City’s in design but was an enlarged version of it.

The arena was already packed by the time Ryan and the rest arrived, because Ryan was fighting with someone from the Dark Moon Family Clan. The hatred the Divine Martial Sect had for the Dark Moon Family Clan was immense, so all of them wished to see Ryan kill the genius from the Dark Moon Family Clan.

“Master, can you notify the Sect that my grandfather will arriving?” Ryan asked Raymond.

“I have already done so. They will bring your grandfather directly to the arena,” Raymond said.

“Thanks, Master,” Ryan said with a smile.

“You sure look happy. Aren’t you tense? It is a Death duel,” Cynthia said in an angry voice via Mental-message transmission.

“Don’t worry. The Dark Moon Family will regret challenging me to a Death duel,” Ryan said via Mental-message transmission. He had a confident smile on his face.

Cynthia decided to believe in him, as she knew that Ryan wasn’t the type of person who would gamble with his life.

The people from the Dark Moon Family Clan came to the arena within a few minutes of Ryan’s arrival. Their clothes had the insignia of their Family Clan. It was a black-colored moon on a white background and it looked uncannily life-like.

The Dark Moon Family Clan had sent at least four hundred Martial Artists, most from the Senior generation with six from the junior generation.

The Martial Artists from the junior generation looked at Ryan with hungry eyes. All of them released a lot of Murderous aura and Killing intent. Ryan just ignored them. All the Martial Artists from the Senior generations were Immortal Realm Martial Artists and ten among them were Ancestor Level Martial Artists. Each Martial Artist from the Dark Moon Family Clan had a seriously arrogant and mocking expression on his or her face.

“Let’s get started,” a Martial Artist named Ivo from the Dark Moon Family Clan said loudly.

“Let my grandfather come,” Ryan said. He could see how eager the Dark Moon Family Clan was to kill him.

“Isn’t your Master besides you? Don’t you have faith in him?” a Martial Artist of the Senior generation named Ivo taunted Ryan, as other people from the Dark Moon Family Clan started laughing loudly.

“I have full faith in Master, but my grandfather has asked me to wait for him. It’s just that I don’t like going against his wishes,” Ryan said with a sincere expression. The Martial Artists from the Dark Moon Family Clan started laughing wildly after hearing these words from Ryan.

Oscar reached Divine Martial Sect soon afterwards, but he wasn’t alone. He had at least one hundred other people with him. They descended at the entrance of the Divine Martial Sect, where a few disciples from the Divine Martial Sect were already waiting for their arrival.

“Seniors, you people are late. The Dark Moon Family Clan is causing a ruckus. They are deliberately trying to tick off Ryan, but he has been silently tolerating it for half an hour.

“If it had been someone else, he would have already lost his mind and attacked them. The people of the Dark Moon Family Clan want something like that to happen, so they will have a reason to kill him. Ancestor Raymond alone might not be able to help him out of such a situation,” one of the disciples of the Divine Martial Sect said with an angry expression. The expressions of some of the people who’d come along with Oscar changed, but they quickly regained their composure.

“Please take us to the venue of the duel as quickly as possible,” Oscar said in a low voice. He had a poker face, so it was difficult to tell his current state of emotions.

The entry of Oscar and company into the arena made the arena go utterly silent. The expressions of all the Immortal Martial Artists in the arena changed including those of the Dark Moon Family Clan.

The Sect Head started sweating profusely. He didn’t know what to say. He looked at Ryan in amazement, as he’d never dreamt, even in his wildest dreams, that Ryan would be related to Oscar and company.

On seeing Oscar, Ryan went to greet him with a smile. A smile appeared on Oscar’s face on seeing Ryan and the people who had come along with Oscar also smiled at him.

“Ryan, the people beside me are your ancestors, so be respectful to them,” Oscar’s said. He knew that Ryan had yet to meet the people who had come with him and didn’t know about their identity.

“Hello, and thank you for coming to my aid,” Ryan said in a humble and respectful manner. The smiles of the people beside Oscar became even brighter.

“No need, little Ryan. Don’t worry about anything. We will personally handle your problem,” a beautiful woman came forward as she patted Ryan’s head and Ryan felt warmth surge through his heart. He again thanked the heavens for giving him a family this time.

“Thank you, Grandpas and Grandmas,” Ryan said with a big smile and the people who’d come with Oscar were happy when Ryan called them grandpas and grandmas.

As Ryan was meeting and greeting his ancestors, a discussion erupted in the arena, all of it happening via Mental-message transmissions.

“Raymond, Ryan sure has a colorful family. No wonder he accepted you as his Master without being bothered much about your past,” Emerson said with a dry laugh. Arlo slightly nodded his head. Raymond didn’t comment but deep down he was feeling giddy. He was certain that the Dark Moon Family Clan would suffer that day.

Cynthia was not included in the discussion between Raymond, Arlo and Emerson but she could guess that the people who had come to Ryan’s aid were not ordinary people, otherwise the arena would not have become silent to such an extent. She gave Ryan a deep look. He was becoming more and more mysterious to her.

The Martial Artists from the Dark Moon Family Clan that were present in the arena qu
ickly informed the members of the Upper echelons of their Family Clan.

“Please come and save us. They will kill us all,” an Ancestor Level Martial Artist named Sirius pleaded with his Family Clan via Mental-message orb. He wanted his Family Clan to dispatch a few powerful people to save them from Oscar and company.

“Just delay the duel. We are coming,” a member of the Upper echelon of the Dark Moon Family Clan replied. Anyone could sense deep frustration in his voice, as he’d never expected Oscar and company to arrive at the Divine Martial Sect. The matter certainly had the potential to become dangerous if it was not handled with care.

“Please be quick,” Sirius said, as he disconnected his Mental-message transmission orb.

Once Ryan was done with the greetings and introductions to his new grandpas and grandmas, he walked to the stage of the arena.

“I am ready,” Ryan said as he looked at the Martial Artists from the Dark Moon Family Clan.

“We have been asked to wait. Some important people from the Dark Moon Family Clan will be coming in a few minutes,” Ivo said. He was respectful and humble now, unlike before, which Ryan felt was a bit too much. He gave his grandpas and grandmas a deep look, but they just gave him mysterious smiles.

Ryan just shook his head slightly – he felt he knew very little about his family.

“Then ask them to be quick. I don’t have a lot of time on my hands,” Ryan said as he sat down on the floor of the stage. He started meditating to raise his mental state to the highest level for the duel. Oscar and company met Raymond and company in the meantime. Cynthia’s face turned a little red when she talked with Oscar.

“Why are things accelerating at such a high speed? Can’t it be one step at a time?” Cynthia thought to herself. She felt like hitting her head on the floor. She wanted to smack Ryan around. She had yet to agree to Ryan’s proposal and yet such things were happening. She felt that things moving at such a fast pace were not good for her heart.

“Just go with the flow,” Selina said as she giggled, but Cynthia just ignored her.

After some time, a Spatial hole opened above the Divine Martial Sect and hundreds of Ancestor Level Martial Artists from the Dark Moon Family Clan flew out of it, each one of them with a serious expression on his or her face.

They didn’t wait for Divine Martial Sect to invite them in, but just entered the Sect without an invitation. The Divine Martial Sect didn’t stop them, as they knew that was of no use.

All the newly arrived Ancestor Level Martial Artists from the Dark Moon family stood by the side of the Martial Artists of the Dark Moon Family that had arrived previously. They looked at Oscar and Company with wariness. It was as if they were locking at a bunch of wild animals that lacked intelligence.

“Let’s get started,” Ryan said as he got up from the floor of the stage.

A Late Elite Realm Martial Artist walked onto the stage from the Dark Moon Family’s side. Many people from the Divine Martial Sect knew about Ryan’s shamelessness and his hiding of his real Cultivation Level, so they knew that the Late Elite Realm Martial Artist would suffer, but this made them happy. They would finally see the Dark Moon Family’s face getting smacked.

Cynthia didn’t know what to say. She’d never expected the Dark Moon Family Clan would challenge Ryan without investigating him.

She knew Ryan’s real Cultivation Level, as he’d told her during the feast.

Oscar and company were trying not to laugh as they were also in the know of Ryan’s real Cultivation Level. Raymond, Emerson and Arlo were no different. They were imagining the faces that the people from the Dark Moon Family Clan would make upon seeing their junior getting killed in an unfair duel.

Ryan, on the contrary, had a serious expression. He was trying to make sure that the people from the Dark Moon Family Clan didn’t suspect anything.

The Late Elite Realm Martial Artist that came up the stage still had an arrogant swagger and a mocking expression. This was one of the most promising youngsters from the Dark Moon Family Clan. His name was Ramon, but in Ryan’s eyes, he was as good as dead.

“The duel starts now,” an Elder of the Divine Martial Sect said. He was going to be the referee for the duel.

Ramon’s body was covered in ice. It looked as if he was wearing a crystalline ice armour and Ryan could tell that the Martial Skill being used by him was not Normal. He then charged at Ryan at full speed but Ryan just smiled at him, which infuriated him.

Ramon conjured his Martial Spirit when Ryan was within his attacking range. Large quantities of Icy aura erupted out of his body, which soon took the form of a white-colored Gigantic bear with a vicious expression. His Martial Spirit resembled an Elemental Beast named Arctic bear which was a Normal Elemental Beast with the bloodline of an Ancient Elemental Beast named Sub-zero bear.

A pure-blooded Sub-zero bear can easily freeze a Divine world with a Single-breath attack, and its bodily strength and toughness are on par with that of dragons and phoenixes. Artic bears are famed for their powerful Icy attacks and their bodily toughness and strength amongst Normal Elemental Beasts. An Arctic bear can easily contend with a Barbaric bull in terms of bodily strength and toughness.

An Artic Bear Martial Spirit is considered quite a good Martial Spirit. Ramon could evolve that Martial Spirit into a Sub-zero bear, if he could find a few powerful Heavenly Treasures. Ramon’s Death would make the Dark Moon Family regret challenging Ryan for this Death duel.

The Arctic Bear Martial Spirit roared as it slammed its right paw down on Ryan. It was clear that Ramon was trying to do a Pincer attack along with his Martial Spirit. He had a vicious smile on his face. If he was able to kill Ryan, then Rai would always hold him in high esteem which would be beneficial for his future growth.

Ryan punched at the incoming paw of the Arctic bear and instantaneously kicked Ramon. Ryan’s punch destroyed the aura body of the Artic Bear Martial Spirit while Ryan’s kick sent Ramon flying out of the stage. The Crystalline ice armour around his body was unable to withstand even one kick from Ryan and people could hear the noise of bones breaking in his body.

The arena which had been enveloped in silence suddenly burst into wild cheers. The disciples and people of the Divine Martial Sect felt as if Ryan’s kick and punch had helped them vent their anger.

A Martial Artist of the Senior generation of the Dark Moon Family Clan jumped to catch the flying Ramon, but his expression changed when he checked Ramon’s condition. He was dead!!!

All the Martial Artists of the Dark Moon Family Clan looked at Ryan viciously, but they found the situation incredulous in the extreme. They found it hard to accept the fact that Ramon was killed by a single kick from a Martial Artist with a lower Cultivation Level than him.

Just as they were contemplating the situation, they noticed that Ryan’s Cultivation Level had changed and that now he had a Cultivation Level of Late Mortal Elite Realm. Then his Cultivation Level changed again, and this time it was Early Mortal Lord Realm. The eyes of the Dark Moon Family’s Martial Artists went wide with shock. They didn’t even know how to react to such a situation. They’d not been expecting Ryan to be this shameful and vile, as both the Eternity Family Clan and the Heaven Sundering Family Clan preferred honor before anything else.

Soon, the Martial Artists of the Dark Moon family regained their composures. Their eyes were bloodshot. They wanted to rip Ryan apart limb by limb, but they held themselves back as they saw Oscar and company ready to engage them in battle.

“I think the duel has yet to start as the Martial Artist sent by you people was not in the same Realm as me,” Ryan said as he deactivated the camouflage ability of Death Sword.

The cheers amplified in the arena, the moment Ryan did that and the faces of the Martial Artists from the Dark Moon Family Clan burned with humiliation. They felt that there was no point in continuing the duel as Ryan could hide his actual Cultivation Level. Even Ancestor Level Martial Artists were unable to tell his real Cultivation Level, which mean
t they had no means of verifying Ryan’s actual Cultivation Level. They had no intention of risking the life of another youngster.

“The duel is canceled,” one of the Ancestor Level Martial Artists from the Dark Moon Family Clan said, as the Martial Artists from the Dark Moon Family made ready to leave. All of them looked at Ryan with disdain and anger.

Ryan just smiled back at them, as he knew the reason the Dark Moon Family had decided to withdraw.

“Remember one thing. He is my grandson. I will raze your Dark Moon Family Clan’s Grandura branch without even thinking twice, so don’t give me a chance. I have become more unforgiving with the passage of time,” Oscar said in a low voice but everyone in the arena was able to hear his words even amidst the cheers. It was as if the cheers had no effect on the words that came out of his mouth.

The Ancestor Realm Martial Artists gave Oscar a deep look before turning around and leaving the Divine Martial Sect. They knew that Oscar was serious. They would now have to consider other options to make sure Cynthia married Rai.

All the major happenings that had occurred in the arena that day were quickly shared by the Divine Martial Sect with the Heaven Sundering Family Clan once Ryan left with Oscar and company to Forest of Darkness after the Dark Moon Family withdrew, as the duel would large number of implications for the Family Clan.

The appearance of the Oscar and company caused a big ruckus in the Heaven Sundering Family Clan – and the Eternity Family Clan was quickly informed about it. The people that had come along with Oscar either belonged to the Heaven Sundering Family Clan or the Eternity Family Clan: to be precise they had all been exiled from their respective Family Clans.

Emilia was bombarded with loads of questions, but she refused to answer them. She gave them the excuse that Oscar had forbidden her to speak about it.

A high-level meeting was called by both the Heaven Sundering Family Clan and the Eternity Family Clan to discuss the reappearance of Oscar and company, who’d been missing for the previous two decades.
