"You better fucking do that shit, Ivy, ride this motherfucker."
I tilted my head back, and again, I went to work. I spent the next thirty minutes fucking the socks off Zane. For the rest of the night, we turned the yacht into our private playground. I was in complete bliss.
Zane
The previous two months had gone by without a glitch. The shop was bringing in cash flow, and I was in love with a magnificent woman. Even Timeka had seemed to get her priorities in order, and wasn't sweating me anymore. She had found herself a job and was paying her own bills. I still hated her ass, but because my daughter was back with her, I gave her the car back and told her to pay the insurance. I was operating on many cars as I could so I could buy Berg out. I hadn't seen him, and he was no longer working in the shop. I found a replacement, and he wasn't by far as good as Berg, but he came to work and got the job done. Monique came by the shop quite a few times looking for him, until I told her he didn't work here anymore, and when she saw him to call me. Things between us would never go back to how they used to be, but I was running a business, and his name was still on the paperwork.
I had to get his name off the paperwork if I wanted to expand my business. Seems the client’s car I did out in Miami was getting a lot of attention, and my name was buzzing. I was offered a one-year contract to work at the top upholstery shop in Miami. I would be putting my skills to use, and working for one of the most lucrative auction shops in Miami. I would have more than enough money to put in the shop and in my account. I had a month left to make my decision, but I just couldn't pick up and leave, I had a daughter and girl.
"Hey, baby, you hungry? I got you something to eat from Lou's Deli." Ivy walked into my office with a bag of food. She looked good as fuck in her ripped blue jeans and pink tank top.
"You right on time too, because my stomach growling. You get me an Everfresh too?" I asked, taking the bags out her hands.
"Yes, I got your favorite Tropical Punch."
"Hell yell! Thank you, baby." I took a bite of the corned beef sandwich.
"Ugh, you eat so nasty." She looked disgusted.
I could feel the mayo and cheese running down my chin. "Like how I eat dat pussy." I laughed.
"Ok, I set myself up for that. I saw the Audi, baby, and Jesus, that car is so damn sexy. I'm always impressed by the things you do with your hands."
Ivy was always complimenting me and applauding me on my work. Call me cocky, so what, but I knew I was the shit, but it made me feel good inside hearing it come from her and my sister. Tangie and Ivy had become one of my biggest supporters, and I didn't feel like my job was completed it they didn't approve it.
"It is nice though, I always try to outdo the last car, but the Audi is in the top five. I hope Big Rick likes it." The mentioning of Big Rick's name made Ivy’s head shoot up. "Why the fuck you looked like that when I said that nigga name?"
She sucked her teeth. "Zane, don't get cussed out."
"And don't get yo ass beat. One more time, why the fuck you look like that when I said that nigga name?" I put the sandwich down. I was dead ass serious right now. My trust was still a little fucked up, and if Ivy or Big Rick had something going on, both of them had to die.
"You need some medication, you know that? I looked like that because I just put two and two together. I think that Audi is for Sunjai."
Whew, I could breathe, but I didn't see that coming. "You lying, Big Rick and Sunjai, hell nah. Big Rick ain't never mention Sunjai to me, and he loves talking about all the hoes he smashing."
"Sunjai hasn't mention nothing to me either, but I saw her and Big Rick on Snap at the club, and they looked a little to cozy to me, then I go to her house and bam she has a new Audi."
"Baby, them two grown ass people, let them do them, and stay out of their business."
"Sunjai don't need a man like Big Rick, he ain't no better than Melo. She needs someone who is going to love her and treat her right."
"How you know what she need? I'm telling you to stay out of it, and when Big Rick gets here, you better not say shit."
"I'll try," she smirked.
"Ivy, I'm not playing, just wait until she tells you."
"Wait until who tells what?" Tangie barged through the door.
"Damn, well just bring yo stankin ass on it then, why don't cha? I know what I'm going to do, I'm going to hit yo ass with a do not disturb sign. What you want nosy lil girl?" I asked Tangie.
"Nothing, I smelled food, and since y’all didn't bring me any, I'm out, but for real, who y’all talking about?" We laughed.
"Girl, Sunjai. I think she is messing with Big Rick, and that Audi is her car."
Tangie choked on the Faygo she was drinking. "Big Rick? Man, I hope she know what she's getting herself into. That nigga don't care who he fuck."
"Exactly! That's what I'm trying to tell your brother!"
"Y’all the only two who gives a fuck about what two other people who don't give a fuck about why y’all give a fuck about their business. Ivy, you got a whole nigga over here who ain't had pussy in two days, and Tangie, that nigga that you've been seeing, I need to see what the fuck is up with him. Are you bringing him to Mama’s surprise party?"
"Nigga, now you need to mind your own business, and don't worry about me, but it's just a matter of time anyway, so yeah, he's coming."
"Sure hope he ain't a square ass nigga."
"Zane, please don't act a fool on Mama’s big day. At lease wait until the party is over."
There was a knock on the door, and it was Big Rick. "Baby, let me get Big Rick out of here, and then we can leave, and don't say nothing to him, because I don't feel like fighting his big ass today."
Ivy came over and gave me a kiss and rolled her eyes at Big Rick but he didn’t see her, her and Tangie went back to the front of the shop.
"My man, what's good? I know you got my baby looking good." Big Rick dapped me up.
"You know how I get down. Come on, let's go see for yourself."
Big Rick followed me to the garage, and when he saw the chromed-out Audi and his jaws dropped.
"Damn, Zane, this bitch is sweet. A nigga might try to shoot me in the head over this one."
"Well, they gon’ be disappointed, because this baby is bullet proof. I was on some Batman shenanigans with this one." We laughed. Big Rick took out two envelopes of money and it was well over the price I quoted him.
"Your money is there, including a little extra. You always come through when I need you, man."
"Thank you for looking out, but I've been meaning to ask you, what happened with you getting back with me about Xavier?"
"Xavier? What that nigga got to do with me and you? He owe you some money too?"
"Nah, he owe me his life. He broke into my girl’s apartment, stole her safe, and tried to kill me. Berg told me he hit you up and explained everything to you."
"Berg a lying ass motherfucker. That nigga called me, but he was trying to get back on the team. Told me you were getting a bigger cut than him at the shop, and he needed to make some money so he can do his own thang. Tell me something, how much was in the safe?"
"I don't know, I’m not sure. My girl ain’t raise hell about it, so far all I know, it could have been empty.”
"Does twenty G's sound about right? I cut the nigga a deal, because we go way back, and gave him a deal on two bricks. That was the last time I saw that nigga, as for X, he over on Belle Island, strung out like a motherfucker."
"How you know?"
"Because I'm the one who put the needle in his arm. That nigga owe me thirty stacks, and since he wants to act like a pussy and not pay me my money, I got him on the corners selling dick like one."
"Nigga, you cold, but selling dick?" We laughed. That was fucked up, but that’s the price you pay when you get in bed with Big Rick.
"Hell yeah, it’s some fucked up people out here, man. I thought I'd never see the day a trick choose dick over pussy. That blew my fucking mind."
"
Gotta be something in the water, man. I'm just tripping off Berg, man. Why couldn't he just come and talk to me? He is throwing everything away over a fucking percentage. We family, we are supposed to be better than this." I had to ask my questions and play like I was really feeling some type away about Berg, or Big Rick would catch on. I didn’t want him sticking his nose in my business.
“It be like that sometimes, Zane. It be the people we love, the people that we try to help, that tries to fuck us over every time. I don’t get how niggas do less and think they deserve more. I’ve seen you work your ass off in making this shop what it is. Just watch that nigga, and protect yourself at all cost.”
A lot of people hated the ground Big Rick walked on because of the way he handled his business on the streets, but Big Rick was about his money. I never saw Big Rick force any man to do nothing, chances were, the person was in a bind and came to Big Rick. He was a gracious giver, but it came with a price, and if you couldn't pay it back, you paid with your life, or ended up like Xavier. Big Rick was always giving me the game, and he always looked out for me. Me and Big Rick chilled a lil while longer before one of his women called him.
I walked in my office and slammed the fucking door. I was mad at myself for not piecing it all together a few months ago. When I first walked in Ivy’s apartment, the paint on her walls smelled like the paint here in the shop, but it never crossed my mind that is was Berg. When the shop got broken into, Berg was the only person who knew where the hidden cameras were. Even Timeka claimed Berg wanted her to burn the shop down. I’ve been so busy looking for Xavier, that Berg almost slipped away. He was trying to hurt me in every which way he could, all because of a girl who never once looked at him. I had to figure out a way to bring him out of hiding. If Berg was trying to get back on the corners and he had two bricks, he needed someone to break it down for him, and I knew just where he was at. I put the new contract papers to the shop in my pocket and waltzed to the front desk.
“Ivy, baby, I’ll be right back.” I yelled over the music. Her and Tangie were turning my damn shop into a club, but the customers seemed to like the music while they got their cars fixed, so I let it ride.
Berg and his mama didn’t have the mother and son relationship like me and my mom’s. Aunt Lola was no longer on drugs, but for the right price, she would cook it for you. Berg didn’t know anyone that could cook dope as good as his mama, so I was willing to bet this was where he was at. I pulled up to Berg’s old house, and Berg’s car was outside. I grabbed my glock from under the seat and tucked it my pants. I checked my surroundings, and no one was hanging out, and there wasn’t any nosy ass neighbors sitting outside. I kicked Aunt Lola door in like I was the police. Aunt Lola screamed, and Berg took off running, but I tackled him to the ground and started raining blows on him.
“You bitch ass nigga. You tried to burn down my shop.” I kicked him in his stomach, and he doubled over in pain.
Aunt Lola came around with a frying pan, and I grabbed her by her wrist and twisted it until she dropped the pan. I’d ask God to forgive me later, but I took my gun out and put it up to Aunt Lola’s forehead, and told her if she moved, I would blow her head off. Berg was still on the floor, balled up like a bitch. I told Aunt Lola to go sit down, and if she moved, I would put a hole through her chest. I put my gun back on my waist, and picked up the frying pan and whooped Berg ass with it. I could hear Aunt Lola crying and begging for me to stop, but the more I fucked Berg up, the better I felt.
“You thought you were going to ruin me, huh?” Bam! I hit him over the head.
“Bitch, you robbed my girl!” Bam! Berg yelled out in agony.
After I had enough of fucking him up, I threw the pan and took out my gun. I towered over Berg and brought my gun hard over Berg face. Berg face was bloody, and I didn’t give a fuck, I brought my gun down on his face again. I told Aunt Lola to go get a towel so I could wipe my hands. I wiped my hands and told Berg to wipe his. Once his hands were clean, I took out the contract papers that terminated me and Berg’s partnership.
“These papers are to the shop, our partnership is over, bitch. I’m one hundred percent the owner now, and if I catch you anywhere near my shop, or my girl, Aunt Lola will be picking out a box to bury yo ass in. Sign these papers so I can get the fuck out of here.”
Berg spit out blood, and told me to go fuck my mama. I laughed and hit him across his head again. Aunt Lola yelled and told Berg to sign the papers, and this time, he listened. He signed the papers, and I kicked him over, and over, and he passed out on the floor. I took the two bricks that were still on the table, kissed Aunt Lola, and told her I would buy her a new door. Before I went back to the shop, I hit Roddrick and Demarcus up so they could take the bricks off my hands. I told them niggas what went down with me and Berg, and as a favor to not put that nigga on. Berg was going to have to find another way to make money, because once word got out, nobody was going to fuck with him.
“Did you runaway again? Where the fuck you at, Zane?” Ivy didn’t even let me say hello.
“Watch how you talking to me, and lose the fucking attitude, Ivy. If you wasn’t so busy shaking your ass, you would have heard me tell you I was about to go handle some business. Now, what the fuck is it?”
Ivy hung up the phone in my face. I didn’t mean to raise my voice at her, but I was still pissed off about the stunts Berg pulled. I was tempted to go back and finish him off, but I couldn’t kill him in front of Aunt Lola, my mama would kill me if she found out. Once I got back to the shop I would explain everything to Ivy, but I couldn’t go around her like this. I needed to cool off, I needed something to calm me down. My phone rang, and this damn sure wasn’t it.
“What’s up, Timeka? Is Zanaya ok?”
“Umm, no, that’s why I was calling. She has a high fever, and her nose is stuffy, can you bring her over some medicine?”
I wanted to ask her why the fuck she didn’t have this type of stuff at home, but I wasn’t in the mood to fight with her ass. I told her I’d be there in twenty minutes. I called Ivy to let her know I had to stop over to Timeka, she didn’t answer, so I sent her a text. I knocked on Timeka’s door, and she opened it wearing a sexy ass dress and some high heels. I walked inside, and the house was pitch black, except for the candles that lit the room.
“What kind of bullshit you on? And where is Zanaya? I thought you said she was sick.”
“Zanaya is fine, and she’s at my mama’s. This is nothing more than a thank you. I just wanted to do something nice for you, since you opened my eyes and made me grow up.”
“Don’t you think you could have written that shit down on a thank you card? This don’t feel like a thank you and you know it. I’m out.” Timeka ran over to me and grabbed me by my hand, and I jerked away.
“Zane, please, just hear me out ok. I know you are with what’s her face, but I know she can’t love you like I do. All Zanaya talks about is us being a family again, and I want our daughter to see her mama and daddy together again.”
“Bitch, I should slap the fuck out of your coo coo ass for using Zanaya for your little thirst trap. You still a fucking liar and vindictive ass bitch, you just won’t let up, will you?”
“No, and if I thought Ivy was the one for you then I would. She ain’t no good and little miss perfect ain’t who you think she is.”
“She ain’t no good because I’m blessing her with this good dick and our daughter loves her ass. Zanaya ain’t trying to see us together, because every chance she gets, she asks me if I’m going to marry Ivy. That girl got my heart on lock, and if you ain’t got the key to unlock it, it’s going to always belong to her.”
“Fuck that bitch! She can’t-”
I grabbed Timeka by her neck and pushed her against the wall. “Call her another bitch again and see if your body don’t come up missing. I’ve been dealing with your deranged ass for far too long. Don’t call me unless my daughter needs me, and when you see Ivy, you better show her some fucking respect or every time you
see her I’m going to make sure she beats yo ass. Do we have an understanding?” She nodded her head yes, and I let her neck go. “’That’s your last warning, Timeka, I would hate for Zanaya to grow up without her biological mother, but I have faith Ivy can step right on in and make Zanaya forget you ever existed.”
I opened her door, and Ivy was standing outside with her arms folded across her chest.
“What the hell you doing here?”
“Making sure yo ass dropping off medicine. I heard everything, now let’s go.”
I thought the show was over, but Timeka just had to come outside and show her ass one more time.
“Killer!” Timeka yelled repeatedly.
“Shut the fuck up and go back in the house.” I looked at her with death in my eyes.
“Nigga, you ain’t gon’ do shit to me with witnesses outside, but I bet your bitch will. You so quick to want to take my daughter from me, when you have her around a murderer! Murderer! Murderer!” Timeka chanted.
I grabbed Timeka by her chin and squeezed on it until she was clawing at my hands to let her go. “Bitch, didn’t I just tell yo ass what would happen if you kept this shit up? I see you on your best bullshit tonight. Sleep with one eye open, bitch.” Ivy told me to let her go and I pushed Timeka and she stumbled on the stairs.
“Tell him, Ivy, tell him how you killed your cousin, Sharaya, because you couldn’t handle her being pregnant by your husband. Tell him! Yeah, Zane, you laid up with a fucking monster!”
I looked at Ivy and she had tears in her eyes. She ran to her car and I followed after her. “Ivy!” I yelled.
“Yeah, I bet she doesn’t want to talk now, she’s a murderer y’all. Where that girl kids at, Ivy? Huh, Ivy?” Timeka was all in Ivy’s car yelling shit I hope wasn’t true. “You free to be with any bitch now, as long as it not that one, and if I found out Zanaya is around her, I’m filing for full custody. My bread up now, nigga, so what you gon’ do?”
Ivy pulled off, leaving me and Timeka behind. The same gun I whooped Berg with I took out and put it to Timeka temple. My hands trembled, and the fear in Timeka’s eyes made my dick hard. I wanted to blow her fucking brains out on her lawn. I saw an elderly lady run inside and I knew she was about to call the police. I let the gun down and backed back from Timeka and went to my car. I had something for her ass, but right now I had to get to Ivy.
