His Kind of Girl: A Love Story

Page 13

by Jai Amor

“Hey Malorie, I need a big favor if you are not busy,” I told her.

“I’m not busy girl what is it?”

“I need for you to take me to the Hampton Inn to see if Ahmir is there.”

“What? You gotta fill me in on our way there. You know I’ll take you, no questions asked but I do want to know what’s going on between the two of y’all,” she said.

  “You know I will.”

“Okay, I’ll be in the car waiting”

“Alright, I’m going to meet you down there,” I told her.

When I got downstairs, Malorie was turning the car on. I got in the car and she was looking at me with a sympathetic look on her face. I could tell she was feeling bad for me but honestly, I didn’t want anyone to feel bad for me because it was a feeling I was having since I was with DJ Spin, so I prepared myself for the worst. On our way to Hampton Inn, I filled Malorie in on everything that was going on and my suspicion of him being there with Zaria. Like Chanel, Malorie said that it was something about Zaria that she felt was not right and knew she was trouble but she was glad I never got close to her. When we pulled up my question was answered as soon as I saw Ahmir’s car sitting in the parking space four cars down. I sat in the car trying to figure out what I was going to do or say once I caught him with her.

“Are you okay Ki?” Malorie interrupted my thoughts. “Do you need for me to come with you?”

“Yes, I am fine just trying to get myself together before I go up there. I’m not trying to go to jail tonight,” I said giggling a little. I didn’t want to interrupt whatever Chanel and Jeremiah were doing so I just sent her a message letting her know I was about to go up. I got out of the car and got on the elevator headed to the second floor, I’d be lying if I said that my nerves weren’t on edge. When I got off the elevator it seemed as if my hands would not stop shaking. Even though I knew he was in there, I still wasn’t prepared to see it with my own eyes.

Okay Ki, go ahead and knock on the door, I told myself once I got to the door.

  Knock, Knock, Knock

I could hear someone talking and I heard Ahmir’s voice saying something right before the door opened. The look on his face was priceless when he swung the door open and saw me standing there with my hands on my hips.

“WHAT THE HELL AHMIR!” I yelled as I tried to slap the shit out of him.

“Look baby it’s not what you think! I didn’t do anything I promise!” he said trying to convince me. He could’ve come up with something better than that because that line is old.

“What you mean it’s not what I think when you’re standing in front of me in a hotel room with your shirt off and your pants unbuttoned?”

“Where the bitch at?” I asked pushing past him trying to walk inside the room. He tried to grab my arm to keep me from going any further but I snatched away from him before he could get a good grip on me. I expected to see Zaria in the room either half naked or naked, but what I was not prepared for was the other person I saw sitting in there.

“OH HELLLLLL NO! I KNOW DAMN WELL...” I was trying to keep my cool but I couldn’t anymore, on the bed in only bra and panties was Zaria and Briana!

Before I knew it, I was on top of Briana punching her in the face trying to rip it apart. “You dirty nasty bitch!” I said with every punch I threw. Ahmir came and pulled me off her. As soon as he pulled me off of her, I jumped on him trying to make every punch stick that I could.

“Ki, baby calm down, calm down,” he said while blocking some of my blows. “Nothing happened I swear, just calm down so I can explain to you what happened!

“I don’t know what she in here trying to fight everybody for anyway when she hitting another nigga anyway. Ain’t that right KIOR! Did you have fun with DJ Spin over the weekend? I told him it would be something you enjoyed bestie,” Zaria said with a smirk on her face.

I stopped hitting on Ahmir and turned around. “I knew your fake ass was phony the whole damn time. That’s why I never got close to your grimy ass,” I said through clenched teeth. “You are a jealous bitch and even though I don’t want Ahmir’s trifling ass no more, he still not going to be with you because you a little conniving sick ass hoe.”

“Well he sure couldn’t leave this fat ass alone and yep I set the whole thing up with DJ Spin because your ass was in the way. He’s my man obviously, who is he up here with now? Who is he with almost every day? You’re the one blowing his phone up but I’m the one who is getting his time. My plan worked out perfectly, from me getting in the same class as you to me talking to DJ Spin. At first I didn’t think it would work but it all worked out and tonight was an added bonus,” she said chuckling.

“Hol' up Zaria, you knew I told you tonight was going to be the last night because I wanted to do right by Kior,” Ahmir said. “And baby I did not know Briana was going to be here, I was blindfolded and then it was taken off me. When I saw it was her, I got up to leave and that’s when you knocked on the door, you gotta believe me!”

“Yes, you did tell me that Ahmir but you tell me that all the time. Each time you come right back,” Zaria said. “You can’t resist this can you daddy?” she licked her lips while rubbing her breast. I don’t know what came over me but seeing her do that made me snap! I ran over and jumped on her; I dragged her out of the bed by her hair and started kicking her trying to knock out every tooth in her mouth. She was trying to swing but wasn’t having any luck and I started pounding her face with my fist when I heard something crack. I was so enraged that it didn’t stop me. I saw the blood on my hand and noticed it was coming from her nose. I begin kicking and stomping her. I tried to lay that bitch out but what happened next made me stop right in my tracks.

“Ahmir, Ahmir get her off of me,” she yelled. “Don’t let her kill our baby!”

I stopped right in my tracks and stood up looking at her. Before anyone could say anything or react I saw a girl walk into the room with a smirk on her face. Ahmir looked like he was about to pass out right then and there.

“Soooo this is what you do Ahmir?” the girl said.

“What the hell is going on?” I asked trying to figure out who in the hell this girl was. “Ahmir, who is she?”

“What are you doing here?” Ahmir asked this mysterious girl.

I cannot lie, the girl was very pretty. She looked like she could be a model or something. At the moment, I’m trying to figure out who she is, why she is here, and how the hell did she know Ahmir!

“I’ve been around for a while you just never knew it. Ever since the day you stopped answering my calls I’ve been here following your every move. You are going to regret the way you treated me,” she said.

“Is somebody going to tell me what the hell is going on? Ahmir who is she?” I asked as confusion was being replaced with pure anger.

“I’ll tell you who I am. I’m Jasmine, Ahmir’s ex-girlfriend and soon to be baby mother!” she yelled.

“What the hell did she just say?” Zaria jumped in. I almost forgot she was in the room even though I just whooped her ass a few seconds ago.

“I am his baby’s mother. Well, should I say one of his baby’s mother. I heard everything that was going on. I followed your little girlfriend up here, that’s how I knew what room to come to.”

“Don’t sit there looking like you’re stuck on stupid Ahmir, say something. You know what, never mind y’all can have his nasty, trifling ass I’m leaving,” I said trying to leave out of the room.

“No Ki, don’t go baby please! All this was a simple mistake, we weren’t even together when Jasmine got pregnant and I was coming to end it with Zaria tonight. I really want to be with you,” he said with pleading eyes. I wasn’t feeling it though. As a matter of fact, it made me sick to my stomach just listening to him talk.

“Yes Ki, please stay so you won’t miss anything. Now Ahmir, why were you ignoring me again? Oh yeah, because you wanted to act like a little boy and run and hide instead of taking responsibility. How dare you tell me to a
bort my baby? Did your mama abort you? If you are going to be this sorry she should’ve,” she said in the most menacing voice I ever heard. I’m never scared of anybody but something in my gut was telling me that this girl had lost her complete mind and I’m going to keep my eye on her.

“I told you I wasn’t ready to have any kids right now and you know that Jasmine. I ignored you because you acted like whatever I said didn’t matter so I let you do what you wanted. I got better things to do than to go back and forth with you,” Ahmir said.

“Well whether you like it or not the baby is coming. Did you tell that little hoe over there to get rid of her baby?” she asked. She looked over at Zaria and said, “Did he tell you to get rid of your baby? Did he ignore you like he did me?”

Zaria was just sitting there looking and not saying a word. I laughed to myself to keep from flipping the hell out. This situation was so messed up. I could’ve sworn I was in a movie or that I was being pranked.

“Well, since everybody want to act like they can’t talk now maybe this will help out.” Jasmine reached in her back pocket and pulled out a sliver and pink pistol. I thought I was going to shit on myself right then and there because I had no idea what this crazy bitch was going to do.

“Hold up Jasmine, think about what you’re doing. You don’t want to do this. I didn’t know Zaria was pregnant, she just let me know tonight,” Ahmir said holding his hands up. Even though I didn’t want anybody to die, it served his trifling ass right. You can’t treat people any way and think you’re going to get away with it.

“Well Ahmir, since you said you didn’t want children and you wanted me to get rid of mine, I will be happy to help you out with this one.” As she was talking and focusing on Zaria, I inched my way towards the door just in case she wanted to shoot everyone that was in the room. Just as I eased the room door open to make a run for, it I heard the gun go off..........BOW! BOW! BOW!
