Plumbing His Depths (The Three Bears Book 3)

“More… more…” Ryan groaned between strangled moans of pleasure.
When the first hint of broken skin showed, Colt dropped the flogger, refusing to hurt his lover any longer. He grasped the base of his cock and surged against Ryan’s anus. It took a few strokes to plunge inside his lover. Ryan moaned against the onslaught, but never whispered his word.
As soon as Colt was balls deep, Ryan’s body tensed, and he erupted, his cock shooting a massive load into the air. Strings of cum landed back on his cock, balls, and abdomen, proof of his desire.
Colt was nearly undone. Breathing hard, he grasped his lover’s shoulders and began to drive into the man. The momentum of the swing helped him plunge into Ryan with speed and force. He knew he should give better care, but his need was too great. Onward he thrust, needing to be as deep as possible inside of Ryan.
Ryan’s cock was still hard, and it bobbed up and down from the impetus of the swing as Colt impaled him. Colt fought against the bonds, moaning with each masterful stroke. Ryan held him so tightly, wrapped and stretched around his thick cock. The embrace was more than he could stand, the feel of Ryan better than any he knew. Colt felt sweat dripping from his body, the heat and lust burning him alive from the inside out. It didn’t take long for him to reach his limits and pass them. He felt his body tense, the electric fingers of satisfaction begin to trail up his spine.
And then he came, in hot, thick spurts, deep inside his lover. Ryan followed him, coming again as Colt filled Ryan’s ass with his release. Somewhere in the back of his mind, Colt realized he wore no condom.
He’d come, bare in his lover, for the very first time in his life.
When he was emptied, he slowly pulled from Ryan’s ass and saw some of his seed drip from the man’s abused ass, and it had to be one of the most erotic visions he’d ever witnessed. He reached out and rubbed the jism into Ryan’s ass, liking the fact his lover was now marked.
Mine.
Colt shuddered, his legs weakening under him. He walked backwards until he sat on the bed, breathing hard.
Ryan watched him closely, also breathing rapidly. There was also a weariness in the man’s gaze.
Colt understood why. Last time they’d fucked, Colt had sent his lover home. There had been no aftercare, no loving embrace, no soothing words to calm the spirit. Now, Colt had to more than make up for it. When he was sure he could stand, he rose and walked closer. He rubbed more of his cum onto Ryan’s ass, scooping it as it flowed freely from the tight bud. Colt rather liked having Ryan bound, and wasn’t in a hurry to release him.
Instead, he gathered some cream from the bathroom and return to tend to Ryan’s physical wounds. He caught his lover’s eye before gently coating the man’s ass with the soothing salve. The only sounds shared between them were the mild hisses of pain from Ryan. When he was done, he stared at Ryan.
“We should’ve let you heal more.”
Ryan nodded. “Perhaps, but you only did as I asked.”
Colt undid both of Ryan’s ankles and lowered the man’s feet to the floor. His legs shook under him as Colt undid his wrists. Once he was free, Ryan wobbled on his feet and fell against Colt.
Colt caught him in a warm embrace and helped him to the bed. When he had Ryan comfortable, he slipped into the bed beside the man and drew his lover into an embrace.
“This is how it should’ve been last time. I shouldn’t have kicked you out.”
Ryan was tense against Colt, appearing to struggle with the intimacy after their play. Colt wouldn’t let him run, not again.
He lowered his head and captured Ryan’s mouth in a kiss, which quickly grew heated. Before he took things too far, Colt pulled back, shocked their bodies were both already showing signs of life.
“I think you’ve had enough already. You need time to grow accustomed to this kind of play.”
“Why fight the need?” Ryan asked. “Who knows how long we’ll have?”
Colt closed his eyes, not liking the sound of that. “You’re not used to this. You’re raw at this point, and you need rest.”
Ryan relaxed against Colt. “Fine.”
Who knows how long we’ll have? Colt kept hearing the comment over and over in his head, and knew he’d struggle to let go.
But let go he’d likely have to.
Chapter Eight
Ryan awoke, sore and feeling fuzzy. Something warm lay against him, and he slowly opened his eyes to the gray sunlight filtering into the room.
He lay sprawled out against Colt.
His cock was already hard, and now it throbbed to life upon seeing Colt there, naked. Ryan shook his head, unused to the kind of need he felt when around Colt. Gingerly, he rose from the bed, trying not to awaken Colt. Ryan needed a minute or two to think.
He padded barefoot into the bathroom, the warm hardwood floors under his feet decadent. Once inside the bathroom, he closed the door behind him, giving him a slight bit of privacy. The bathroom was luxurious, updated with all the high end fixtures JLC was putting into the renovated house he worked on. It was a far cry from the shitty little apartment he lived in that had dated fixtures at least thirty years old.
Ryan walked up to the sink and washed his face with cold water. Looking up into the mirror, he inspected himself closer.
Still look the same.
Why do I feel so changed?
Colt talked of more. Hinted at a future between them. But Ryan wasn’t gay. How could he have a relationship with Colt, at least one outside of them enjoying one another’s bodies? What would others say about him? Would he ever be able to be with a woman after being with Colt?
Why worry about what other people think?
Would anyone truly compare to how Colt has made you feel already?
It feels good. Don’t let it go.
Ryan’s subconscious made it all sound so easy.
It wasn’t.
Ryan turned on the shower and got under the multiple sprays. After the night he’d had, the water sluicing down his body felt heavenly. It massaged the sore muscles and flesh, and cleaned most of the dried cum from his body. He grabbed some body wash and cleaned himself completely before just standing in the stream, oblivious to the passage of time.
When the water finally began to cool, he quickly turned the water off, not meaning to have been so inconsiderate. Surely Colt would want to shower as well before work.
Work. The thought of doing anything but sleeping the rest of the day was gruesome, but the job had to be finished. He quickly dried off and exited the bathroom, to see Colt dressing, his hair damp.
“Did you shower?”
Colt nodded. “You seemed to be enjoying yourself, so I caught one in Jax’s old room. I know how much you like my shower.”
Colt pulled his snug t-shirt over his massive frame and turned to Ryan. “I can loan you a t-shirt and you can take the sweats you were wearing. I figured you’d want to stop by home before you went to work.”
Ryan nodded and dropped his towel. He quickly dressed and headed for the door.
“Wait up.”
Ryan paused, his hand on the knob. Colt walked over and crowded him before lowering his head and kissing Ryan’s lips. Ryan’s body throbbed, need filling him once again. His mouth warred with Colt’s, his cock hardening between his legs.
Colt pulled back and smiled down at him. “Hurry up. We gotta lot to do today.”
Ryan shook off the lust swamping him, without much luck, and headed out. The sun was still rising high into the sky, and few people were out. It still didn’t stop the sensation Ryan was doing the walk of shame to his truck. Just as he reached it, a familiar looking vehicle passed.
Saunders Plumbing.
Chip met his stare, a sly smirk on the man’s face.
Heat flooded Ryan’s face. Embarrassment had him jumping into his truck and revving the engine to life. He raced toward his apartment, knowing he couldn’t do this.
No matter how much he liked Colt, he was done.

Colt sensed Ryan had been extra quiet all day and wasn’t sure what was going through the man’s mind. He held back the question on his tongue, not sure if it was a good time to ask. He’d had a call that morning from Jax. They were all invited to his and Golden’s house the following weekend for a cookout and some big announcement.
Colt wanted to ask Ryan to come along, especially since it appeared Linc and Chance might actually become a thing. He didn’t want to be the fifth wheel.
But he was hesitant to ask—with this weird vibe and the fact Ryan seemed to think he was pushing. Yet, he wanted Ryan to meet his friends.
“So, I—I’ve been invited to a cookout next weekend at Jax and Golden’s.”
“Yeah?” Ryan asked, fitting two pipes together.
“Thought you might like to come and meet the guys.”
Ryan paused and looked over his shoulder. “That’s not happening.”
A little irritation rushed through Colt. “Why not? If you might start working for us on occasion, it might be good to hang out with Jax and Linc a little.”
“So you can introduce me as your new little boy toy? I’d rather not.”
“I never said I was going to do that. We can keep it loose. Just hang out. Eat some grub. Have a couple of beers.”
Ryan dropped his wrench into his toolbox and started collecting his other tools. “I’m out, man. This is just too much. Your usual plumber can finish this up. There’s not much left but the fixtures.”
Colt was dumbstruck for a moment. “You’re running? Again? I thought we had fun last night?”
“Chip Saunders rode by your front door this morning, just as I was doing the walk of shame to my truck. He’s already spreading lies about my work. Now he’s going to start telling everyone I’m gay.”
“So?”
“I’m not gay! You got my head twisted, and I just need out.”
Colt nodded. “So go. I’m not stopping you. But don’t come begging for another fuck when you realize what you’ve walked away from.”
Ryan hefted his toolbox and walked past Colt. Colt closed his eyes, wanting to say anything to stop the man.
But once again, the words wouldn’t come. He wouldn’t beg Ryan to stay.
He listened to Ryan pull away and looked around him at the job at hand. Leaning back against the nearest stud, he scrubbed both hands down his face, knowing full well he’d let a good man go.
But if he can’t accept this, I won’t force him.
Chapter Nine
Two weekends later, Colt, the fifth wheel, stood with a beer bottle in hand, not listening to any of the conversation surrounding him. Jax mastered the grill, flipping chicken and steak, while Golden moved about, setting the table for everyone. Chance sat beside Linc, both of them mooning over one another, while he stood there, feeling lost.
“Earth to Colt…”
Colt turned, seeing Golden staring at him.
“We need a fresh one?” Golden asked, pointing at his bottle.
Colt looked down at the dark glass in his hand and realized he’d barely taken more than one sip. “Nah, man. I’m good.”
“You okay, Colt?” Golden asked, frowning slightly.
“Nah, he’s been pouting for over a week now,” Jax said, his back to Colt. “He misses his plumber.”
“Fuck you,” Colt said before taking a long drink from his bottle. He didn’t want to talk about Ryan.
Or how much he missed the man.
Golden smiled, the little matchmaker glimmer lighting his eye. “So, tell me more about your plumber.”
Colt shook his head. “I don’t have a plumber. It’s done. It’s over. I don’t stick with anyone. I’m a revolving door.”
Golden frowned a little more. “It helps being a lawyer and knowing when someone is untruthful. And, Colt, I know we haven’t known each other long, but you suck at lying.”
“I don’t want to talk about it,” Colt said, his voice low.
“Fine,” Golden said, heading on past. “You’re too chicken shit to fight for something you want, then it’s no skin off my ass.”
“I’m not chicken shit. He’s the one unwilling to fight.”
“So you do like him,” Jax turned and asked, a broad smile on his face.
“I didn’t say that,” Colt spat.
“You didn’t have to. We can infer from your statement that you thought it was something worthwhile, while your plumber did not,” Golden answered.
“What did you do to push him away?” Linc asked.
“Nothing!” Colt answered.
“Had to be something. Did you cheat on him?” Jax asked.
“We weren’t a thing, so how could I have cheated?”
Golden came close and eyed Colt. “But you wanted it to be a thing.”
“I never said that.”
“You didn’t have to. Who woulda guessed that Colt would finally want to settle down and he’d find a guy who wouldn’t want to. How many of them have begged you to be the relationship type?” Jax asked.
“You guys are assholes,” Colt answered, draining the rest of his beer. “I’ll take that fresh one now,” he said to Golden.
Golden came over and took the empty. “So why wouldn’t your plumber want to hang around?”
“The beer?”
“I still say it was cheating,” Linc said. “Or the guy got a peek into the dark shit in Colt’s closet.”
“He’s straight!” Colt cried out.
Everyone turned to look at Colt, and he felt even more under the microscope. They’d wheedled the answer out of him, and he had no desire to talk about his failure to convince the man to stay.
“He’s straight? So you were with him?” Jax asked, frowning.
“I was… with him. We had a good time. I liked him a lot, and I think he liked me. But he couldn’t handle the thought of others finding out. So he split.”
“Man… I’m sorry. I didn’t know it was like that,” Linc said, remorse on his face.
Golden touched his arm. “Yeah, we were just picking. I didn’t know it was serious.”
“It wasn’t. It didn’t get a chance to be. I’ll get over him.”
Golden nodded before looking over Colt’s shoulder. “Can I help you?”
Colt turned and saw Ryan standing at the end of the drive, at the edge of the yard. His hands were in his pockets and his shoulders slumped.
“I’m here… to see… Colt.”
Colt didn’t say a word. He walked closer, hearing a few whispers behind him as he stopped a couple of feet before Ryan. “What are you doing here?”
“I got the check in the mail. I didn’t expect it.”
“I paid you for your time. I need receipts or an invoice for materials. If I underestimated, you can send me an invoice for that, too.”
“You were more than generous. Too generous, in fact.”
“Is that what you came here to tell me?”
Ryan shook his head. “I just want to say hello. I forgot about the party, but when I saw your truck and no one answered the door… and then I smelled the cookout. I won’t intrude. I just wanted to say hi.”
Ryan backed away.
“Stay.”
Colt stared at Ryan, who paused, looking at the ground.
“Stay. Meet my friends. Hang out. Get some food and a couple of beers.”
Ryan met Colt’s stare. “I’d like that.”
“No worries. I won’t introduce you as my boy toy. Since you’re no longer my boy toy.”
“What if I want you to introduce me that way?” Ryan cleared his throat. “I mean, I know you said I couldn’t come back begging.”
Colt’s body shook with anticipation. He didn’t care what he’d said in anger that day. There was no way he was going to let Ryan run one more time.
“We were angry. Things were said. I say we forget them.”
Ryan nodded. “I still can’t say I know where this is going, but I’m not ready to bow out.”
Colt s
wallowed thickly. “It’s better than not having you here.”
Ryan smiled wanly.
“You hungry?”
Ryan’s smile widened. “Famished.”

The sun had faded and they sat under the glow of stars, surrounded by several torches. Frogs ribbitted and crickets chirped from the creek near the back of the property. A fire pit roared in the middle of the yard surrounded by folding chairs, ready for them once dinner was done. Six men sat around the table on the deck—drinking, eating, and laughing.
Ryan pushed his plate away, knowing full well he couldn’t eat another bite. The food was as good as the company. “You guys are gonna make me fat.”
“I recommend plenty of exercise,” Golden said with a wink. “It’s the only way I can work off all these steaks and burgers. I swear neither three of these guys knows what a friggen vegetable is.”
“I know vegetables.” Jax grinned. “I eat potatoes with my steak and fries with my burger.”
Golden rolled his eyes. “Along with all the carbs in your beer, you all should be bigger than this house.”
“Exercise. Like you said,” Jax said, his voice gravely before he leaned in and kissed Golden on the mouth.
Heat flooded Ryan’s face. Seeing two men appear to care about one another and be that comfortable sharing their emotions wasn’t something Ryan was used to seeing. Yet he didn’t necessarily feel uncomfortable witnessing it, either. Instead, it made him feel more relaxed with Colt at his side. Seeing men together would just take some getting used to. Like his whatever it was with Colt.
And he wanted to grow more comfortable with Colt.
He felt Colt’s hand on his upper thigh and his body immediately reacted, his cock thickening. Turning to look at Colt, he realized he sort of liked the little claiming touch. It made him feel more a part of the group.
Ryan liked the men at the table. He sort of knew the guys, through talk around town and then things Colt had said, but he’d never truly met them before. The three men were definitely very good friends, almost more like brothers. Ryan didn’t have a lot of friends—no one close, at least—and for the first time since he’d moved into the area, he felt at home.
