Memories of Boom Boom Mountain Page 2

by Adventure Time

’ It took a lot of planning on Finn’s part. Luckily, Jake was eager to help, even if he thought Mountain Man should just get over himself already. In any case, Jake would do anything for his best buddy.

It took a lot of time, too, but when everyone and everything was finally in place, Finn picked up a bullhorn and began to direct.

‘Ready over there, Mushroom Gang?’ he called.

  ‘Ready, Finn,’ the Mushrooms replied.

  ‘Ready, Dragon?’ asked Finn.

  ‘Yes, sir!’ Dragon answered.

  ‘Ready, Mountain Man?’ Finn shouted.

  ‘I’m ready!’ Mountain Man coughed.

Finn looked around excitedly. If this worked, it would make his dream of making everyone happy a reality. He would pay back the kindness that had been shown to him when he was a little baby in need.

  ‘GO!!!’ Finn shouted.

The band of marauders began to jump and tug frantically as they pulled a set of strings that were part of an enormous pulley system that included a huge log. This activity was almost as much fun as rough-housing!

When the marauders pulled the strings, the log spun around in place, triggering a set of fans. The fans moved back and forth and swatted at a swarm of flies. The flies flew away and then landed around Coal Guy’s ears, buzzing and blocking out all of the other noises.

‘I can’t hear a thing!’ Coal Guy announced happily.

Coal Guy picked up a couple of rocks and tossed them into the air. Each rock landed on a seesaw, flinging the triangle to the Electroids and the plum back to Plum Toad.

  ‘YAHOO! YEAH!’ they all cheered.

The musical sounds created by everyone working in harmony cheered up the Mushroom Gang. They began to laugh and dance in a field of flowers.

‘OH! OH! OH!’ they giggled merrily.

This stirred up pollen for Cactus Creature, who immediately sprouted more Cactus Creatures.

Dragon scratched his itchy butt on their needles.

‘OH, YEAH,’ Dragon sighed, satisfied at last.

He breathed a blast of blazing hot exhalations, which warmed up the water surrounding Ice Guy.

  ‘YAHOO!’ Ice Guy shouted.

The heat from Dragon’s breath was so hot that steam began to rise up from the pool of water. The cloud floated higher and higher into the air, until it completely blocked Mountain Man’s view of the marauders’ village.

‘Hey, I can’t see anything,’ Mountain Man said. ‘Is anyone rough-housing?’

  ‘No!’ Jake answered.

  ‘Radical!’ Mountain Man replied.

‘And I can still see his gorgeous back!’ added the other mountain.

‘Thank you, Finn,’ Mountain Man said gratefully. ‘You really helped everybody!’

The head marauder lifted Finn into the air and tossed him around. The other marauders cheered for their hero – Finn the Human.

‘STOP!’ Jake interrupted. ‘I’ve got a problem.’

  ‘What’s the matter?’ Finn asked.

‘This dolphin fell in love with me,’ Jake admitted.

‘That’s the opposite of a problem,’ Finn laughed. ‘ADVENTURE TIME!’

So Finn and Jake rode off on the dolphin, ready to help anyone in need.
