When he first arrived at her condo he sat in his car for fifteen minutes. He felt like a little boy running to his mom about his relationship problems but he honestly didn’t know what else to do. It was killing him on the inside knowing that he wasn’t the father of Aleesha’s child. Even though he was still doing his own dirt, she was supposed to be the loyal one. She was never supposed to step out and allow another man near her, not to mention get her pregnant. He finally managed to get out the car and walked up to the door. He struggled trying to find the key to his mom’s door and by the time he went to twist the door handle to let himself in, she was opening it.

“Hey son,” Debra said, giving him a kiss on the cheek, “where’s my grandbabies?”

“With they ho ass momma,” he heartlessly answered, walking in.

“I know I didn’t hear you just disrespect your wife like that,” Debra speculated. “Boy, what is wrong with you?”

Savage walked into the living room and took a seat on the couch. “The baby ain’t mine,” he blankly stated.

  “What?” she uttered in surprise.

“She fucked around with her ex and got pregnant by him.”

  “No she didn’t.”

“Man, I was so close to puttin’ my hands on her,” he angrily said, balling his fists up. “I just knew I was about to black out and do some hurtful shit to her so I just left.”

“I’m glad you did that. I don’t need my only child behind bars for the rest of his life,” she reasoned.

“Why the fuck would she do that man?” he upsettingly questioned. “I’m good to her and she don’t need for shit. I love her and I take care of her and my kids.”

“Yeah, but I told you karma would catch up with you. How long did you think you could keep cheating on your wife and nothing happen?”

“So now you takin’ up for her?” he asked in a rage.

“Booyyy,” she exaggerated, shaking her head. “You better remember who you talkin’ to. I will still whoop yo ass no matter how grown you think you are,” she threatened. “I’m not taking up for her. But you would’ve had about six different kids by five different women by now. What happened to you not believing in abortions?”

“Things change. I’m married and I don’t want no kids unless they come out my wife.”

“That still doesn’t change the fact that you cheated. You will always reap what you sow.”

“So, regardless of the fact she never knew about none of that shit. But she knew the whole time that that baby wasn’t mine and she played me. I fuckin’ hate that bitch,” he angrily spat.

“Stop disrespecting her,” Debra warned. “That’s still the mother to your kids.”

“Why do you keep takin’ up for her?” Savage indignantly asked. “I’m yo fuckin’ son.”

“Watch your tone Najair Anthony Williams,” she fumed. “I’m not taking up for her. You are my son and I will always be on yo side no matter if it’s right or wrong. But she’s the mother to my grandbabies and you’re not going to disrespect her in front of me. Listen to what I’m saying before you react to the first thing that gets you riled up,” she advised. “Now, I know you’re hurting over this but guess what, so am I, now knowing that baby is not my blood. But you brought this upon yourself. You can’t expect to do dirt and not have it done back to you. I kept telling you about that especially since you’re married. At least she loves you enough to tell you the truth.”

“If she loved me she wouldn’t have been fuckin’ that nigga.”

“Besides that, she loves you enough to have told you that the baby wasn’t yours,” she sympathized. “She could have kept that a secret and let you continue to believe that he was.”

“I don’t wanna hear that,” he stubbornly stated.

“I know you don’t, but eventually you’ll get over it,” she reasoned.

“How the fuck am I supposed to get over that shit?”

“Because you’re my son and I raised you to be a strong man,” Debra countered. “But right now, the biggest concern should be that little boy’s health. That’s your wife and she needs you.”

“Man, she ain’t gon’ be my wife for too much longer.”

“So you’re going to divorce her?” Debra sarcastically asked.

“Why would I stay with her?” Savage countered. “It’s obvious who she wanna be with so her and that nigga can live happily together with their son. I’m taking my kids and I’m gone.”

“It won’t be that easy. Aleesha won’t go down without a fight especially over her kids. She’s a momma bear who definitely protects her cubs.”

“She won’t have a choice,” he sternly declared.

“Savage, I can’t tell you how to live life and I don’t want to. But you need to cool down and think first before you make any irrational decisions,” she advised.

“What’s irrational about me wanting my kids?”

“Nothing, but the way you’re tryna go about it is. You can’t just take your kids away from their mother.”

“Man, I don’t care about none of that. They my kids too and I should be able to take them if I want to. Fuck all that, I’m not going out like no fuck boy. I’m raising my kids.”

“You just need to go talk to Aleesha at least,” Debra suggested. “Even if you guys get divorced you don’t want to end like this.”

“Man mom, I know you don’t want me disrespecting her but fuck her. That bitch could get hit by a bus right now and I wouldn’t care,” Savage coldly replied.

“What is wrong with you?” she asked in disbelief.

“Nothing,” he sighed as he stood up. He bent down and gave his mom a hug and kiss. “I’ll see you later, mom. I need to clear my head.”

Savage left and drove around for a few hours until he got restless. He drove to a liquor store and got him a bottle of Jack Daniels, then drove to the nearest hotel and got himself a room. He smoke and drank by himself for the next few days until he decided on what he was ultimately going to do.

  Forgiveness and Acceptance

A few days had passed and Aleesha hadn’t talked to Savage. She didn’t know if he had flew back to New Orleans or not, or if he was even alright for that matter. Every time she tried to call him his phone would go to voicemail, and of course he didn’t answer any of her texts. She could only pray that he was alright and that he would forgive her.

Aleesha had also been contacted by Kiara about Sensi. She had pled not guilty on the charges she faced against Aleesha, claiming it was self-defense and that Aleesha initiated the fight between them. Aleesha had to appear in court and testify on her behalf. She wasn’t worried though, because she had some of the best legal defense in California.

On the day of the trial, Aleesha was a little nervous. She never thought she would have to testify in court and was thinking about not doing it, until she thought about CJ. He was still in the hospital fighting for his life and even though he had a great chance of living, the fact that she could have lost him gave her the extra courage to testify. Kiara came and picked Aleesha up and on the car ride there she shocked her with good but disturbing news.

“You know Izabella is also being charged with your friend Mila’s murder,” Kiara told her.

  “What!” Aleesha exclaimed, shocked.

“Yes. When they examined the blade she used on you they found another person’s blood and after examining it they found out it was hers.”

“Oh my God,” Aleesha grumbled. “It was all my fault.”

“Don’t blame yourself, Aleesha. Izabella was just a crazy bitch,” Kiara reminded. “She’s getting what she deserves.”

Aleesha’s head was spinning by the time she arrived at the court house. She was anxious getting on the stand but she was happy after she did. After just a four-hour trial, the jury found Sensi guilty of every charge she faced. She was charged with two counts of aggravated battery and two counts of second-degree attempted murder against Aleesha, and one count of second-degree felony-murder for Milasia. She was g
iven life in prison.

Lala had been watching the twins while Aleesha was in court, so Aleesha went straight to her house afterwards to pick them up and then she went home. She was surprised when she saw a Lincoln Navigator with Arizona plates, because she knew it was Savage. She got the twins out of their car seats and carried them into the house.

When Aleesha stepped inside she almost dropped the twins. There were boxes scattered throughout the house, some empty and some packed and taped up. Savage was in the living room packing up a box while talking on the phone. She put the twins down and they ran over to him.

Savage put his phone away. “Ay, come here my lil’ bad ass munchkins,” he playfully exclaimed as he scooped them into his arms and kissed them on their foreheads.

“Savage, what are you doing?” she curiously asked.

He set the twins down. “What does it look like I’m doin’? I’m packin’ my shit up.”

“This is OUR shit,” she clarified, “you’re not taking anything.”

“And whose finna stop me?” he arrogantly asked.

“Me,” she answered, walking up on him.

“Man,” he said, looking over her. “Get up out my face, Aleesha,” he warned.

“No,” she stubbornly challenged, looking up at him.

“Aleesha,” he said with venom in his voice and anger in his eyes as he stared down at her, “I’m tellin’ you, you better get up out my face. I’m not doin’ this shit with you and I’m tryin’ my hardest not to hurt you.”

“So you’re really just going to give up on me like that?” she asked, hurt. “On our family and everything we built together.”

“Man, you gave up on all that when you cheated.”

“No I didn’t,” she protested as she began shedding tears of remorse.

“Aleesha,” he said, letting out an annoyed sigh, “get out my face.”

“No. Savage you can’t just let all this go.”

“Watch me,” he coldly stated as he stared down at her with icy eyes.

“Please, you’re my husband,” she begged.

“Did you forget you just had a baby by another nigga!” he angrily yelled.

“I know, Savage! And I gotta live with that shit for the rest of my life. I made a mistake and I’m sorry. I really am. But you have to forgive me.”

“Man, I ain’t gotta do shit.”

“Yes, you do. Savage we can make this work. Please, forgive me,” she begged.

“MAN, LEAVE ME THE FUCK ALONE, ALEESHA!” he yelled at her while balling up his fist.

The two didn’t even notice that the twins had started crying until Aniya started screaming. She and Anthony were both staring up at Savage with fear in their eyes and had latched on to Aleesha’s legs.

“Oh my God,” Aleesha gasped as she picked them both up and sat on the couch. “Shhh, it’s okay babies. Mommy is so sorry,” she said, babying them as her crying stopped. She kissed them and rocked back and forth as she continued to try and calm them down.

Savage stood there in shock. He couldn’t believe he got that angry in front of his children and he never thought he would put that much fear in them. He started feeling guilty and knew he had to make things right for the sake of his family.

“You know what, you can leave Savage,” Aleesha calmly stated looking up at him. “I’m not going to keep begging you to stay with me anymore. I can’t even explain how sorry I am but if you want to go then that’s fine. You can take everything, but my kids aren’t going anywhere.”

“Man, I’m not leavin’ my kids,” he declared. “I’m not gon’ walk out on ‘em.”

“Nobody said you were. But they’re staying with me.”

  “That shit ain’t gon’ work.”

“Savage, we already live apart now,” she sadly reminded. “We can switch off every once in a while like we’ve been doing.”

“Nah, man. That’s not what I want,” he said. “None of this shit is what I want.”

“Well what do you want, Savage?”

“Aleesha, I don’t want to leave you,” he confessed. “I fuckin’ love you.”

Aleesha’s heart fluttered. She thought that she and Savage’s marriage was over for sure, but now she knew that they were meant to be together. “I love you too.”

He sat down next to her. “I need you and my kids to be closer to me. I should have been more of a man and put my foot down and just made you move wit’ me,” he admitted.

“It wasn’t that, babe,” she said, looking him in the eyes. “I’m so sorry for making you even feel that way. You’re all the man I’ve ever wanted or needed. I just made a mistake because I wasn’t secure with myself and I’m so sorry.”

“You should have never even felt that way. My job as your husband is to make sure you’re secure with yourself. We gon’ work on it though. Fuck,” he sadly exclaimed. “I love you too much to ever let you go, Aleesha. You and my kids are my world. Including CJ. I wouldn’t be complete without y’all mommy.”

“We wouldn’t be complete without you either. We just need to learn to communicate better with each other. We should go get some counseling babe.”

“Man, we don’t need help from no one to work out our issues,” Savage protested.

“Please babe,” Aleesha begged. “I think it will be better for us, especially if we go up to the church for it.”

“Aight, that don’t sound half bad,” he agreed.

Aleesha and Savage got the kids dressed and they piled into Savage’s rental and went to church. They were able to talk to a pastor who helped them through a few things that day. The pastor recommended they come back for more sessions, which they happily obliged to.

Over the next few weeks, they attended marriage counseling sessions and soon everything seemed to be back to normal. Savage went and visited CJ for the first time, and even though he knew CJ wasn’t his son, Savage still felt a special bond with him. He was overjoyed knowing that CJ was experiencing a healthy recovery, and couldn’t wait for him to be able to come home. Once that happened, they could all move forward and really leave the past behind.

  Welcome Home, Baby CJ

After 35 days in the NICU, baby CJ was finally able to go home. He had gained three pounds and was able to breathe on his own, so the day Aleesha went to visit him she was also taking him home. She called Cali and shared the good news with him, then they planned an appropriate time and place for Cali to see him. When she and Savage arrived home, Aleesha decided to have a small welcome home party for CJ since she didn’t get the chance to have a baby shower.

Aleesha didn’t want the party to be too big since it was CJ’s first day home, so she only called her closest friends and family members and invited them over. Then she went out and did a little shopping while Savage stayed home and watched the kids. Lala had met up with Aleesha while she was out to help her, and when Aleesha returned home her mom Renee, her dad Darion and Savage’s mom Debra were already there. Aleesha began setting everything up and luckily for her she didn’t have to cook. Savage had ordered some Juan Pollo and when Aleesha came back he left to go pick it up.

As soon as Savage was gone, Aleesha got nervous around Debra. She didn’t know if Debra knew that CJ wasn’t Savage’s son and it kind of had her on edge. When Savage got back, he noticed the change in his wife’s behavior and pulled her into the kitchen so they could talk.

“What’s wrong, babe?” he worriedly asked her.

“I feel weird around your mom,” she uneasily stated.

“Why, did she say somethin’ to you?”

  “No.”

“Is she actin’ funny?” he questioned.

  “No.”

“Then why?” he asked with a raised eyebrow. “You ain’t ever felt that way before.”

“I don’t know,” she said with a shoulder shrug, hesitant to ask him what was on her mind.

  “Mommy, what is it?”

“Does she know CJ isn’t yours?” she hesitantly whispered to him.

&n
bsp; “Why, is she treating him differently than our other two kids?”

  “No.”

  “So why does it matter?”

“Because I don’t want her believing that he’s yours and then find out later that he’s not,” she confessed.

“Aleesha, what did I tell you? CJ is my son,” Savage shamelessly stated.

“I know, but you know what I mean babe.”

“She knows Leelee,” he plainly admitted.

“You told her?” she asked, surprise all over her face.

“Yeah, I told her and she feels the same way I do. That’s still her grandson.”

“Okay,” Aleesha said with a sigh of relief.

“I don’t know why you was feeling like that. You know my mom loves you,” Savage reminded.

“Yeah, but that doesn’t mean she won’t feel some type of way with me cheating on you and getting pregnant by another man.”

“Moms is more understandin’ than you think. It’s okay mommy,” he said with a smile, “you good. Stop worryin’ yo self and stressin’ over things that don’t matter. CJ is home and we need to be celebratin’ that.”

“You’re right,” she said as she gave him a kiss on the lips. “Let’s get back out here and enjoy our baby finally being home.”

They went back into the living room and enjoyed the time with their family and children. It wasn’t long before all the kids were sleep, and the adults had time to sit back and talk to each other. After opening up some gifts, Aleesha and Savage said goodbye to everyone because they had to be up early in the morning. They were going to be transferring the ownership of their businesses and properties by signing lease agreements, and the process took some time.

Lala came over early in the morning to watch the children while Aleesha and Savage handled the business they needed to. It took them a little over five hours to get all the paperwork completed but they were happy once they did. When they came back, Aleesha got CJ ready to go spend time with Cali. She could tell the whole time she got him ready that Savage had an attitude but she paid it no mind. Once CJ was ready, she kissed Savage and the twins and was out the door.
