PROFESSOR
Marine fighter pilot. Professor of the Year. Five million dollar grant.
I can have any girl I want, except one.
Her.
My best friend’s daughter. The friend I served with for twenty-one years.
And his daughter who I’ve wanted for the last three. From the first moment I saw her I knew I had to have her. To make her mine.
I’m teaching the next generation how to fly and she’s studying to be a pilot.
She shouldn’t even be on my radar, but I’ve got my sights set on her and her only.
When I find out she’s pregnant with our baby she thinks I’m going to eject, causing our relationship and her life to crash and burn.
Fuck that. I complete my missions and my mission was always the same. Make her mine.

CHAPTER 1
Ryker
I t was one hell of a flight. I pass all the suckers at baggage claim and head right for the taxi stand.
“Where are we off to today, sir?”
“Gaslamp Quarter, and if you can avoid all this smoke I’ll double the fare.”
“I’m afraid that won’t be possible sir. The Santa Ana’s are flaming those fires in every direction.”
I exhale hard. Apparently the California wildfires are in full swing. If I would have known that I would have cancelled my trip in a heartbeat.
If it hadn’t been for her.
She was the only reason I agreed to come. Sure the speaking fee was huge, but in line with my normal appearance fees. I wasn’t here for the money, and I wasn’t here for the beach. I’ve got stacks of cash back home. Not enough to fill the Olympic sized swimming pool in my back yard, but some times it sure feels like it.
But I don’t give a shit about the material things. She’s the only thing I want, and she’s the one thing I can’t have. But that’s about to change.
The driver swerves wildly just missing a car that had drifted left of center and was barreling towards us.
“Same as when it rains. They don’t slow down out here. The drivers are as poorly equipped as the expensive cars they drive. Sorry about that, sir.”
“Not your fault, but let’s try and arrive in one piece. I’m meeting someone very important.”
“Business meeting, sir?”
I’m not in the mood for a long conversation. I’m already sweating that her flight may have been cancelled and this would all be for naught. “Yes,” I say. And it’s true. It’s time to get down to business and make this girl mine. She’s perfect for me, and I’m perfect for her whether she knows it or not. She’ll know it after this weekend. There won’t be any doubts. I’m going to do whatever it takes to show her. And when she sees what a life with me can be like there will be no turning back for her.
We pull up to the hotel. I don’t run, but I’m definitely walking with a purpose as I approach the reception desk.
“If you need anything, sir, please let me know. I’ll be more than happy to assist you.” The receptionist is laying it on thick. I’m used to it everywhere I go, but have no time for it right now.
“Just one thing,” I say.
“Anything,” she says, dragging the word out.
“Aria Miller. What room is she in?”
“We can’t really give that information out.”
“If I call reception from my room you can transfer me, correct?” It was phrased like a question, but it was anything but.
“Yes, sir. That wouldn’t be a problem at all.”
Less than two minutes later and I hear her voice on the line again.
“The transfer to Aria Miller, please.”
“Certainly.”
The front desk girl who was practically throwing herself at me must wonder what the hell is going on. It’s easy to see I’m not a desperate kind of guy, but I need to see Aria. It’s been too long, and this weekend is too short. I want to spend as much time as I can with her. I’m not here to waste a single minute.
The phone rings, but no one is picking up. The receptionist wasn’t keen on giving out any personal information. Maybe she wouldn’t tell me if Aria hadn’t checked in yet. Maybe she just transferred me to the room that was registered under her name. Fuck. Working through the possibilities was annoying the hell out of me. Why is the universe hell bent on keeping us apart this weekend? It doesn’t matter. Come hell or high water I am going to find her. If she’s here I’ll track her down within the hour. No question about it.
I lean back on the bed. I can hear a phone ringing next door. Either nobody’s answering in this fucking place, or I’ve hit the jackpot.
I wait for the phone to ring one more time before hanging up mid ring. The ring through the wall is partly delayed, cutting off in mid ring.
I jump off the bed and bolt through the front door. I knock on the door to the room next to me. Nothing. I knock again. Three times, hard and loud. I hear some movement and heavy breathing.
Shit, they’re fucking!
I take a step back towards my room. “One second,” her voice calls out. I’d recognize it anywhere.
CHAPTER 2
Aria
W hy won’t this asshole leave me alone?
I’m surrounded 24/7 by immature people who just don’t get it. I didn’t expect more of the same this weekend.
All I expected was him.
Ryker Bell. And how I was hoping he’d ring my bell this weekend.
Except for one little problem. He’s my dad’s be
st friend. And not in the best friend kind of way where you’ve known the person a month. The old school way. The my life is in your hands and your life is in mine way. The Marines who serve in combat together way.
Make that two problems. I’m not even sure he’d be interested in me. At all. He’s Mr. Tall Dark and Handsome. Mr. Rich and Famous. Mr. Experienced World Traveler. And I’m a college student in her final year who doesn’t make friends all that easily, let alone connect with boys.
And that right there is the problem. Boys. I tell myself the reason I’m not interested in guys is because I’ve never met one mature enough, let alone one who was right for me. And Ryker isn’t just right for me, he’s perfect for me.
His original claim to fame was being a hot shot Marine Corps fighter pilot. God, just saying it gets my juices flowing. Of course he didn’t stop there. He parlayed that into international fame and fortune after he literally rewrote the book on military aviation. He was so in tune with flying he could literally feel where improvements could be made. Shave a half inch there. Replace a couple screws here. Increase or decrease an angle or two and you had a jet that functions ten percent or more above current levels. It doesn’t sound like much at first, but in an air battle ten percent was beyond an unfair advantage. And not only was he smart. He had the brawn to go with the brain. He was beyond a perfect catch for any girl, and unfortunately that’s exactly how he knew me. As a girl. This weekend I was determined to show him I was a woman. And not just a woman, but the woman for him. The one and only.
He was the reason I froze my ass off studying aviation at Purdue University in Indiana. If it was good enough for Neil Armstrong it’s good enough for me. And one phone call from Ryker to the dean of the university and I was immediately granted admission to the program.
And if redesigning military aircraft and wielding tremendous power within the entire aviation industry wasn’t enough, he was also hot as hell. We’re talking scorching, center of the earth hot. Flaming molten lava hot. Tall, sculpted, and dreamy bedroom eyes. If looks could kill I would have been dead the instant I saw him.
But the thing that really made me swoon was his confidence. He was the baddest man on the planet when it came to flying, not that anyone needed to tell him. He walked around like he was ten feet tall and bulletproof. For all I know he might have been. Girls literally threw their panties on stage when he spoke, even though they didn’t even hear a single word coming from his mouth. The power with which he moved…the way he held the audience in his hand…the electricity from his words, it was all hypnotizing. And it wasn’t just the attendees that were hypnotized. His speaking fees were astronomical, and corporations couldn’t wait to open their checkbooks. There was even a joke in the industry that having Ryker Bell speak at your function raised you stock price by at least five percent. It wasn’t true. It was closer to nine. Some analysts ran the numbers and found the following day you could expect your share prices to close up nine percent.
But it wasn’t nine percent I was thinking of. It was nine inches. One paparazzi photo a few years back from the south of France immortalized his member. If the sight of him rinsing off in one of those outdoor showers in Saint Tropez wasn’t enough, he had to up the stakes. Push the limits like he always does. He may be an All-American hero but he showed the French how to rock a Speedo. A white speedo at that.
And it was that picture that I had laid out in front of me on my bed while my index finger ran circles around my clit. I knew I was going to be hornier than hell in anticipation of meeting him so I wanted to make sure I didn’t literally go crazy.
I was just about to experiencing one of my mind-blowing Ryker Bell earth shaking orgasms, when the damn phone rang. I was going to light this place up on my TripAdvisor review. ‘Experience peace and tranquility in our oasis by the ocean’ their website read. My ass!
I tried to block it out. I open my eye just a bit to get another glimpse of that picture. Damn, I’m right back in the danger zone. But the fucking phone won’t stop ringing. Get the hint asshole!
Finally the annoyance goes away, but my timing is severely off. I try to finish, but the next thing you know some idiot’s trying to beat down my door.
I pull up my pants, super pissed, and huff and puff my way to telling this jerk off. I’m so mad I don’t even look through the peephole. I can’t wait to rip this douche bag a new one.
I open the door and there he is. In the flesh. Oh. My. God.
CHAPTER 3
Ryker
D amn, there she is. It’s been a few months since I’ve seen her. My cock twitches in my pants reminding me of just how much I’ve missed her. Just how much I want her. Just how much I need her.
She looks distracted, out of breath.
“Did I interrupt?”
“No,” she says. “I was just…taking care of something.”
I look down and see my picture lying on her bed. She sees my eyes locate it and then my gaze returns to her.
“I see,” I say.
“Can I get you a drink?” She’s trying to change the subject. She’s nervous.
“When did you get old enough to drink, let alone serve them?”
“I’m twenty-one now, Ryker. I missed you at the party.”
“What party?”
“I sent you an invite.”
“Didn’t get it.” Damn, our department admin was going to get a tongue lashing if I found out she threw my invite away. But first I had an entirely different kind of tongue lashing planned for Aria.
Aria shot me a sideways look.
“I wouldn’t lie to you. Must have got lost in the mail or our admin placed it in the wrong box or something.”
“Okay…well, I wish you would have been there.”
I could see she was hurt that I didn’t attend. I was angry, but wanted to put this behind us quickly. “Me too, but the good news is I’m here now. We’re here now. And I know just where we can go to get that drink.”
“Where might that be?”
“You still watch Top Gun at least once a month?”
“More like twice,” she says, smiling. “Kansas City Barbecue?”
“Great minds think alike. Let’s get out of here.”
She reaches for her purse and my hand instinctively grabs her wrist. “You won’t need that. Drinks are on me.”
She looks up at me. I don’t let go of her wrist. Her body turns, opening up to me. I look down at her.
Her tank top is tight, a perfect fit for a warm Southern California afternoon. What isn’t a perfect fit is her amazing breasts, which are spilling out of the top. As much as I want to bury my head in them right now and throw her on the bed, giving her the real thing and not the picture, I show restraint. I want to do this the right way. When that moment comes I’ll still be an animal no doubt, but right now I need to be a gentleman. Treat her like the young woman she is. Show her what it’s like to be the queen to my king.
And damn is she ever a young woman. She’s grown into her body incredibly well. She was a late bloomer. Her mind and her maturity were always sharper than her years, but her body was a bit behind her age level. Something happened at college. I don’t know what they’re serving girls in the dorm cafeterias these days, but whatever it is is working.
“I see you’ve grown up,” I say.
“I put on a few pounds at college. Started with the freshman fifteen and kind of went from there.”
“It looks good on you.”
“Are you sure? You don’t think I’m f—”
I raise a finger up to her lips stopping her. “The only thing you are is amazing. From head to toe.”
She blushes. Damn, she looks so sweet and innocent when she does that. I know she’s a good girl, but I wonder just how much of a good girl she is.
I can see her self-confidence is sky high and I want to keep the positivity train rolling.
“Now let’s go get that drink.”
CHAPTER 4
Aria
T he doorm
an looks like a cross between a professional football player and a card carrying member of The Hells Angels. He sees Ryker and suddenly he’s the biggest teddy bear you’ve ever seen.
“Wolf, what’s happening, brother?” Ryker says as they shake hands. Wolf? WTF?
“Haven’t seen you around here in awhile, Ryker?”
“Well, I’m here now and ready to make up for lost time.”
