Breathless Peaks

She gazed back at Maura. Oh, yes, she saw it in her expression--the woman was trying to bluff her way through. Heidi crossed her arms and gave Maura a determined, knowing look.
"I don't believe you, Maura. Oh, you might be pregnant, but it wouldn't be my father's." She gave her a disparaging look. "He would never take the chance on fathering a child with someone like you."
Maura bared her teeth, and Heidi saw her hands curl into fists. All her senses were on alert.
"You have no way of knowing that. And you have no right to say that. Your father loved me."
"Did he? Well, what do you say we head on over to the hospital and have some tests done. Then we'll know for certain, won't we?"
She saw it coming, the rage bursting out of Maura like a rock slide heading down the mountain. She launched herself at Heidi, hands raised, claws ready. But she was ready for her.
Heidi sidestepped, reaching out. She grabbed one of Maura's raised hands, whirled around and wrenched it up behind her back, shoving Maura over the desk. Maura struggled wildly, but Heidi wasn't letting go. Those self-defense classes back in San Francisco really helped out. She might not be ready for the mountain, but she sure as hell could take on a bully like Maura.
Once Maura finally settled down and realized she was pinned with no hope of escape, Heidi bent close.
"I am my father's daughter, Maura, and I would suggest you not forget it. You want a piece of me or what belonged to him, you better be ready for the consequences. You are no match, so take what you've already got and get out. Are we clear?"
"Damn you to hell, Heidi Rivers. You and your father. Let me up. I'm outta here."
Finally, Heidi released her and stepped away. Maura rose up from the desk and rubbed at her sore arm.
"Bitch," she yelled before whirling around and stomping out of the office.
Heidi breathed a sigh of relief and sat back on the desk.
"Well, that was sure a sight to see." Her gaze shot to the door where she found Kolt standing, a glint in his eyes and a smile on his lips. "Remind me to be careful around you, spitfire."
Heidi felt the hot color rise to her cheeks. "She deserved it, dammit."
He stepped into the room, his expression growing more serious. "She did. I heard what she said and it was all lies. Your father never would have been that careless. You were right."
She nodded, unable to say anything because her throat had closed up for some reason. Kolt walked to her and put an arm around her.
"Let's go for that picnic. I think I know how to help you get your mind off what just happened."
She looked up at him and smiled. "I bet you do."

The cool wind swept across her naked flesh. She tried to move her hands, but he'd bound her quite efficiently. She watched him as he removed another anchor from his backpack and walked toward her, definite intent in his eyes. She shuddered, but it wasn't from the cold. It was from the look in his coal-black, gold-ringed eyes.
Today was actually warmer than most for this time of year and the sun was shining, making the snow on the peaks sparkle and glitter in the distance.
They were back on the ledge--the one she'd fantasized about for so long. Her arms and one leg were bound with silk scarves tied to anchor pins wedged into the crevices to either side of her. That was something that he hadn't done before, not even in her fantasies.
This time he had peeled her clothes from her. His kisses had been drugging, his gloved hands hot and rough against her cool skin. He'd drenched her with his fire before he'd bound her to the rock, splayed for all to see if anyone should decide to climb on this side of the mountain.
She felt like a sacrifice to the elements, bound as she was. Or was she simply a sacrifice to Kolt? The urge to fight free of the bonds drifted over her and then she inhaled deeply and released the breath, freeing her inhibitions, her fear, and somewhere within she found that peaceful valley where the sun shone gold and her mountain man was with her.
Her initial two weeks was almost up. One more day to go and Kolt had said nothing more about wanting her to stay for longer than that. It was up to her to make the decision for herself. Was she going to go back to San Francisco? Or take the chance, and stay to find out if what was between them was worth the risk?
She hadn't slept well last night, but by morning she'd decided. She made the call and after she'd done so, that was the moment when she had first felt everything lock into place. No matter what came next, she knew she'd made the right decision. This was her home and she should never have given it up.
Maura had packed up and she and her two college boys had left the mountain for good. Heidi had breathed a sigh of relief that all her threats had been so much bluster, disappearing into the thin air above. There was no pregnancy--at least one fathered by Hugh Rivers. She could only hope it was the last they would see of her and her friends.
It was just her and Kolt. He planned to re-open the school the following week, but for now, they had the place to themselves except for the restaurant, which was sublet and catered to local customers.
The brisk air curled around her tightly beaded nipples, drifted against her exposed pussy, dripping with her juices.
Kolt walked toward her with a black handkerchief.
"What are you going to do with that?" she asked.
"Heidi..." His one-word warning.
"Kolt..." she finished. "What are you going to do with that, Kolt." They had come to an understanding in this relationship of theirs. At least she had, because Kolt Harris didn't give an inch. He was as tough as this mountain. If she wanted him, it would be on his terms. And that was what she'd accepted. What she enjoyed. And it was time for her to admit it. Even being exposed like this in such a public place, in such a public way, made her tingle with anticipation.
He hadn't spanked her again, but after that first time, she wasn't so certain she wouldn't enjoy it a second time. She looked up at him now as he moved toward her head with the bandana.
"I'm going to blindfold you. I want you to feel the mountain, Heidi. Make it a part of you."
"Like you are?" she asked, her body heating just at the thought.
He was back to that expressionless look as he regarded her. He was always hiding his emotions from her, yet she knew he could read everything about her.
She'd never realized how much she had hurt him when she'd left. It had all seemed to be about her. To be honest, she hadn't been ready for the love of a man like Kolton Harris. He was so sure of himself, and she had been so much an immature girl. She'd needed to learn to be the kind of woman he deserved. Strong enough to bend, and woman enough to give...and to receive. Like now. Her fingers curved around the silken bonds that imprisoned her.
She dropped her head in submission, allowing him to blind her with the cotton bandana, and the world went dark. Her first instinct was to fight it and then she took a deep breath, and exhaled, and she embraced the darkness. It was as though she was staring into the cavernous depths of Kolt's eyes. And she made herself see him.
She relaxed and leaned back against the rock, felt its unwavering strength against her back. She felt each nook and cranny, each point of granite. She allowed herself to know the surface of it, to embrace it, to experience the beauty of texture, the sounds of her environment. She heard the cry of a hawk in the distance, the whistle of the wind as it caressed the mountain.
Then she felt a warm hand on her breast, cupping it, molding it into his palm. The sensations of the cold strength of the mountain at her back and the molten heat of the man in front of her brought home her fantasy of being sandwiched by the two most powerful forces in her life.
Kolt's gloved hand slid down her body, dropping to her engorged pussy lips. He pressed the tip of a finger inside her and she thrust her hips toward him.
"Kolt," it was the only word she could utter, so overcome by the elements.
He retreated and she heard his footsteps as he walked away. She felt a moment of fear, that he migh
t abandon her here and panic spread through her like a rampant forest fire.
But then she settled. She trusted him and he wouldn't abandon her.
Not like her father. Oh, God, where had that thought come from? Oh, my God, no.
She inhaled a shaky breath, unable to wrap her mind around the one thing that had been buried so deeply inside her heart. Is that why she had left Kolt? Because she had been certain if she didn't leave him, he would eventually abandon her?
"No," she screamed in denial. "Oh, no."
She heard Kolt, felt him near her. He ripped off the blindfold and she blinked at the bright light. There was concern reflected in his gaze as he looked at her.
"What is it, Heidi? What's the matter?"
The tears wouldn't stop, she sobbed and sobbed and couldn't stop. She felt Kolt release her limbs from the bindings and then she collapsed into his arms, her head nestled into his shoulder, her hands gripped his flannel shirt.
"I'm sorry, Kolt. I'm so sorry."
He stroked her hair, trying to comfort her, but she wasn't certain she deserved it. Finally she looked up at him through her tear-filled eyes and she gulped and then sniffled noisily. "It was what my father did when he didn't come after my mother when we left. I felt he abandoned us and I thought you'd do the same thing. So I left you before you could leave me. I never gave you a chance. I didn't give us a chance. I was too scared, too hurt by what my father had done."
He tilted her chin up so she was looking at him. "You should have told me, Heidi. So we could work it out. I didn't know how you felt."
"I was so afraid to love you, Kolt. And you never said you loved me. Only that my father would expect you to marry me. And I guess I knew that wasn't enough to keep you from leaving me behind."
He stroked a hand across her cheek. "I'm not your father and you aren't your mother." He cupped her face. "I do love you, and I did then. That's never changed. And I want you here with me. And that won't ever change. Yes, the mountain is in my blood, but so are you. And I want you both. What do you want, Heidi?"
She wrapped her arms around his neck and pressed close. Finally, she knew the truth. "I want you, Kolt. And whatever it takes to get you and to keep you, I'll do it. I do love this mountain, too, and if I can have both, the world couldn't be more perfect."
He picked her up and carried her to the sleeping blanket he had spread across the ground. She knelt before him and released his burgeoning prick from his pants. His hands were in her hair, gripping fast, as she feathered her fingers across the pulsing veins along his shaft. She licked her lips and then engulfed the head into her mouth, swirling her tongue over the slit, tasting him and the mountain and the wild wind.
She cupped his balls, kneading them as she licked and sucked at his shaft. She felt his hands in her hair, tightly binding her to him. His cock grew thicker, tighter, hotter and she knew he was close to coming.
He lifted her head away and pushed her back onto the blanket, pulling her legs wide apart.
He knelt above her and as she looked up at him it was as though she was gazing at the tallest, most beautiful mountain peak in the world.
And then he was locked inside her, filling her. He gripped her legs and lifted her hips from the blanket, pressing deeper into her. He brushed his thumb across her stiffened clit and she shattered. He rammed deeper, pulled out and pushed in again and again.
His hands now rested at either side of her mound and his thumbs folded back her slick lips. She looked at him, but his gaze was on her blushing pink labia surrounding his cock. He rubbed his thumbs along the rim of her lips and she felt the primal lust dig deeply inside. Then he thrust one last time and she felt the beat of his orgasm as he filled her with his cum.
She wrapped her legs around his waist, wanting to force him deeper still, to pull him all the way inside her body.
He looked down at her, his eyes filled with desire as the last beat was pulled from his body into hers.
"When we get off this mountain we're getting married." He waited. The hard angles of his face seemed filled with tension as he watched her.
He'd asked this question once before and she'd failed to give him the answer he wanted. Yet, he was brave enough to asked once more. And she had to find the courage to give him the answer he deserved. The response she needed to give.
She pulled his head down to her, until their lips were barely separated.
"Yes, Kolt. Yes, I'll marry you."
He crushed her lips with his own and began to move his semi-erect cock inside her. It wasn't long before he was fully hard once again and tunneling strong and deep, just the way she loved it.
She vaulted over the peak once more, knowing she'd come home. This breathless peak, this demanding mountain man would always be her home.
