I flip Alexei up onto my shoulders, and he giggles happily. I want to make sure he can see his mama up on stage. It’s not long before she walks out, belly extended with our second child, Summer, and she looks stunning. I never get tired of looking at her or hearing her sing.

Shortly after I came for her three years ago, we got married in a small ceremony that consisted of Faith and Winter’s mother. Her mother was not all that happy with me at first, since I knocked up her daughter before marriage. But she came around…eventually.

I surprised everyone, including Winter when I told her that I wanted to take her last name. I figured it didn’t make me any less of a man, especially since I didn’t technically have a last name anyway. Besides, I figured it was a fresh start to my life and legacy that I want to pass down to my children. Why would I seek out to find the last name of my biological father when he didn’t even want me? Winter was the first person who truly wanted me, so her surname is what I wanted.

A few months after the wedding, we welcomed Alex. A beautiful brown-skinned baby boy. Perfect in every way. Created by two very imperfect people. I guess our imperfections canceled each other out.

I have moments where I am filled with so much pride that I cannot help but puff out my chest. And so much love that my chest feels as if it will burst. I had no idea I could love this much. I’m already making room for my daughter that will be here in a couple of months.

A year after Alexei was born, I was given the surprise of my life. First, no one ever found the mystery man who killed business tycoon, Ivan Petrov. And since he had way too many enemies to count, the case went cold. Second, I got a call from a lawyer asking me to come in to meet with him. Once I got there, he told me that Ivan had left everything to me and that the lawyer had had the hardest time tracking me down because I was like a ghost.

The man who I would have loved to claim me as his son, who never did, left me his entire fortune. And I didn’t want any of it. At least not for me.

So I sold all of his companies to the highest bidder. I donated three-quarters of the money to the Happy Faces Foundation to help expand it to Europe. The rest I put into a college fund for our children (current and future), and then I opened a club in Paris for my wife.

A jazz club, called The White Rose like she had dreamed of. With no sex of any kind. The sexuality she’d learned to love and embrace in Ivan’s club was now mainly just for me. But we did find another sex club, where we occasionally go to explore our darkest fantasies together. She still enjoys watching others and being watched as we make love. And I love the way it turns her on.

As for me, I am happy helping her run the club and acting as her official bodyguard. I do not trust anyone else for the job. Though, that side of my personality hasn’t had to come out recently.

The only time my aggressive side comes out now is when my beautiful wife asks for it behind closed doors.

  Beauty has tamed her Beast.

  Acknowledgments

To my loyal beta-readers and champions of my work…Thank you! Nadia, Squash, Cos, and Grace; you ladies are my heroes (SHEroes)! You always give me the confidence I need to release my babies to the world. For that, I cannot repay you. And an extra thank you for accepting and appreciating my kink. Your love for the story gave me that sigh of relief that I needed. *wipes brow* So I know that even if there are some out there that hate this story, I know that there is an audience out there who will love it just as much.

To Heather, friend and fellow author buddy…How do I love thee? Let me count the ways. I believe that your constructive criticism may have truly elevated Winter’s Beast to a much higher level. I took all your points to heart and they were all spot on and valid. All to make it a better and more cohesive story. Your ability to fearlessly tell me the truth but in a way that didn’t break my heart and spirit was perfect. You’re a rock star and I can’t say enough how much I appreciate you, my kinky cohort.

And always a shout out to my parents who let me slowly build my career under their roof. I pray that someday soon I will be out of your hair. Love you!
