  Hot City Nights

The air was hot and sticky. Alexia lay on top of the covers, wishing for a slight breeze. The window was open but it gave no relief.

She breathed heavily; she felt oppressed by the heat. This was ridiculous, she thought. She had always been told it was hot in the cities, but what people hadn’t told her was that it was a totally different type of heat to the one she was used to. She longed for the dry heat of home; at least that was something you could get used to. This sticky, clammy heat however made her feel as if she was pushing through warm syrup whenever she moved. There was no relief from it, unless you happened to have a working air conditioner, which presently Alexia didn’t. For the briefest of moments when she had first walked through the door of Danielle’s apartment it had worked, then with a grunt and a hint of smoke it gave up. She didn’t blame Danielle; she couldn’t have predicted that it would happen, but it was very annoying that it wasn’t going to get fixed until midweek which right now felt as if it was weeks away.

She breathed in heavily again, imagining that she was on holiday in a wonderfully cold place. Somewhere with snow, she decided. Concentrating hard on the image she felt the cooling snow on her skin. She was lying on top of a huge snowdrift, making a snow angel.

It began to snow. Big flakes spiralled down towards her, some landing in her hair, others all over her body. One landed on her left nipple. She stared at the beauty of it, studying its intricate design, and was saddened when it slowly melted. A small rivulet of cold water ran down her nipple. Alexia watched the water as it ran over her breast, noticing how it made her skin glisten just like it was coated in oil or perhaps sweat...then all of a sudden the cold was replaced by heat. Hot snowflakes coated her body, covering her in a film of slick, hot liquid.

Alexia blinked and sighed, once more aware of the sticky heat that surrounded her. Well, she thought, it was nice while it lasted. She sat up, and turned the pillow and covers over, hoping they would be cooler on the other side. Tentatively laying back down, only to find that it was just as warm. She tossed and turned for a short while before she gave up and stood up. Walking to the open balcony door she leaned against the slightly cooler glass of the door, gazing outside. She was naked, but she didn’t care. The thought of putting even the thinnest layer on was more than she could bear at the moment. Besides, she wasn’t embarrassed of her body, so if anyone did happen to catch a glimpse they could look as much as they liked.

Slipping out through the glass door she leaned on the balcony, looking down over the sprawling city. The city looked like a night sky glittering in the pitch black with many different colours. Looking up she could see no real stars but the night was alight with false ones hinting at the hustle and bustle of the city. Unlike on the open plains that she was used to, a constant hum of activity could be heard. Cars, music, people; the only thing she couldn’t hear was the sounds of nature. She supposed that the people who lived in the city got used to the noise, the heart-racing pace and the heat. Alexia wasn’t sure if she could ever get used to it. It was alright in small portions she decided, but not for the long term. She missed her dark star-studded nights, the creatures calling out to the moon and the smell of the plains after the rain.

With a sigh, Alexia turned back and lay down on the bed. Eventually, sleep took hold of her and she tossed and turned slick with sweat dreaming of pools of lava.

Stephanie opened the door and walked in. Flicking the light switch, she looked around. Danielle wasn’t back from the club yet and she guessed that she would be a while, so she sat down and made herself comfortable.

As she did the sticky heat seemed to surround her. The leather seat creaked under the new weight, its surface slightly cooler than the rest of the room although that didn’t last. Kicking her shoes off she let them drop to the floor, and wriggled her toes. She loved her shoes, with their soft red velour, but it felt so good to get them off, especially in summer heat.

Stephanie closed her eyes for a moment, before a noise from another room caught her attention. Tensing, she looked over to try and find the source but couldn’t. Her hands gripped the edge of the seat as she held her breath, trying to find the noise again. After a few moments of silence she decided she must have heard things and breathed out, her heart racing with nerves. Deciding the heat must be getting to her she stood up and walked around the apartment to try and cool down. Although she had lived all her life in the city and wouldn’t change that for the world she did sometimes still find the heat oppressive

Padding around, Stephanie headed for the main bedroom, knowing it had a gorgeous view of the city and a balcony from which she might be able to get some relief from the heat.

Pushing the door open, she was about to enter when a movement over at the bed caught her eyes. Letting her vision adjust to the dim lighting she was amazed to see a woman lying on the bed, a thin sheet pulled over her just barely covering her body. Even in the low light Stephanie could see her body glistening, and as she watched the woman moved brushing the material away from her top letting Stephanie see her breasts glinting in the light, her nipples darker in contrast and clearly visible.

Stephanie held her breath, aware she was intruding but unable to look away. Despite herself she moved further into the room, staying near to the door but desperate to get a look at the woman’s face, wanting to know her more. As she did so her foot caught on something and the figure woke.

  ***

Alexia woke up, startled to find someone stood at the doorway. She pulled the covers over her to shield herself slightly.

  “Hello?”

The figure in the doorway moved forward. A shaft of light fell across their face, allowing Alexia to see that it was a woman, and to make out her high cheekbones, pursed lips and a hungry look in her eyes. The woman was tall and slim, with long wavy hair, tied back but just visible from the bed.

“I’m sorry; I didn’t mean to scare you.” Her voice was soft and sultry, sending shivers through Alexia’s spine. “I’m Stephanie, Danielle’s friend.” She walked forward into the low glow of the city lights coming in through the window. She looked friendly, and Alexia remembered seeing her in various photographs that Danielle had dotted around the place. Before she could ask her why she was here, Stephanie continued to talk.

“Danielle said I should let myself in. I’ve been at the club she’s working at. She’ll be over once she finishes her shift. I didn’t realise anyone else was here, so when you murmured in your sleep I came in to investigate the noise. I didn’t mean to wake you; however it’s very nice to meet you.”

As she spoke she moved over to the bed Alexia lay upon, and put out her hand in gree
ting. Alexia took it, and felt Stephanie’s strong warm hand squeezing hers.

“I’m Alexia. I’m staying with D for a short while.” She wasn’t sure what else to say. The heat in the room seemed to soar as she looked into Stephanie’s eyes. It occurred to her that although she was lying naked on top of a strange bed with a person she had only just met, covering herself with only a thin sheet, she didn’t feel awkward at all. She didn’t know if it was the heat, or the close proximity of Stephanie, but she wanted to throw the cover to one side and revel in her nakedness.

Stephanie’s eyes widened as Alexia looked at her. Alexia saw lust spark in her eyes as her own heart began to race. As Stephanie leaned forward, Alexia ran a tongue over her lips she half closed her eyes and tilted her head a little; scarcely able to believe that a woman she had only just met was going to kiss her.

Through her half closed eyes she saw Stephanie smile, and with long slender fingers brush some stray strands of hair away from Alexia’s face and tuck it behind her ear. She sat back, much to Alexia’s disappointment.

“You’ve got gorgeous hair you know.” Alexia blinked her mind a whirl of emotions. She felt ashamed that she had misread the signs, and hoped that Stephanie hadn’t noticed. As if to try and hide her shame she tugged on the covers pulling them over herself completely shrinking away from Stephanie.

“Um...thanks.” She said in response, now just confused as to where this was all going - if anywhere at all.

Stephanie moved and ran her hands through Alexia’s hair again Alexia tried not to cringe away from her. She was sure that with all the heat and sweat her shoulder length black hair must now be a total mess. Stephanie leaned forward tilting her head to the side a little and whispering in her ear, her soft breath tickling and sending shivers over her body.

“And I bet you have a great body to go with it too.”

Alexia gaped. She couldn’t think of anything to say, and yet she offered no resistance when Stephanie began to pull at the covers. They fell away from her hands as she felt compelled to allow Stephanie to do anything she wanted. It was too hot to struggle, and deep down she really didn’t want to, she wanted to see where all of this was going.

Stephanie moaned loudly and bit her lip.

“Hmm...I’d say that was a yes.”

She spoke softly before pressing her lips up against Alexia’s cheek. The smell of honey and vanilla wafted over Alexia. Shifting she moved her head a little so that Stephanie’s lips brushed along her cheek before pressing against her lips. Whilst she was nervous Alexia knew exactly what she wanted.

A hunger grew quickly inside her; it didn’t feel wrong that they had only just met. She desired Stephanie and nothing, not even the heat, was going to stop her. Stephanie kissed her back, pushing hard against her. When they finally pulled apart Alexia saw a hungry look that must match her own in Stephanie’s eyes. She smiled, and looked down at the strapless dress that Stephanie wore.

“Your turn now.” Alexia winked and ran her fingers over the soft patterned fabric; stopping once felt the hard metal of a zip. Pulling it down caused the material to fall away. To her delight Stephanie wasn’t wearing a bra and running her hands over the now exposed breasts she smiled as Stephanie’s nipples immediately hardened at her touch.

Stephanie arched her back and moaned, a shiver running through her body. Leaning forward Alexia took one of Stephanie’s nipples into her mouth, pulling teasingly. In response Stephanie took hold of Alexia’s nipples, pinching each of them between her thumbs and index fingers. Alexia gasped as Stephanie pulled them, sharp pain shooting through her body. It hurt, but Alexia also found it to be intensely pleasurable, her body reacting to it, desperate for more. Before she was able to react any further Stephanie pushed her down onto the bed, pulling the covers completely off her and stepping fully out of the dress.

She kissed Alexia passionately, Alexia happily returning the kiss she pressed herself against Stephanie. Stephanie’s body was so warm she was felt the heat instantly burning her but she ignored it enjoying how the feeling of skin against skin made her own body tingle with pleasure. With a sigh of contentment, Alexia gave into her desires, wrapping her arms around Stephanie. Their breasts pressed up against one another, legs and arms entwined. To an outsider Alexia was sure it would be difficult to distinguish where one of them began and the other ended.

Alexia felt one of Stephanie’s legs nudge between hers and she parted them slightly allowing Stephanie to immediately press her knee up against her pussy. As Alexia writhed, her clit pulsed at the pressure. She kissed Stephanie’s neck hard, moaning with every movement from her leg her whole body tingling with pleasure.

Stephanie pulled her closer, rubbing her leg harder against Alexia. She twisted, matching Stephanie’s movements, loving the feeling of her body pressed up against her. Not wanting to leave Stephanie out Alexia nudged her leg upward manoeuvring it into a position that matched Stephanie’s and immediately caused Stephanie to cry out delight.

A ball of white-hot energy quickly built up within Alexia. Twisting harder against Stephanie she cried out as it flared, exploding and consuming her. Through the mist of her orgasm she was aware that Stephanie also cried out, her body shaking as she held onto Alexia.

Stars floated in front of her eyes and she felt herself slipping into a comfortable haze of sated lust the result of physical and mental exhaustion. Holding onto Stephanie she smiled as they both fell asleep, knowing that she had finally found something to enjoy about the city.

  Something Worth Commuting For

As the train pulled away from the station Michelle shifted uncomfortably. Bags pushed up against her legs, and she narrowly missed her foot being stood on. She hated commuting, especially the journey back when every man and his dog seemed to try and squeeze onto the train. Trying to ignore the heavy breathing and body odour emanating from the large man pressed up against her, Michelle looked around at the other passengers crammed into the carriage.

As she looked round, Michelle’s eyes rested upon a gorgeous brunette sitting halfway down the carriage. The woman was reading a book and eating an apple. It seemed to Michelle that she looked completely as ease, relaxed, unlike most of the other hot-faced commuters. Her slate grey uniform, rather than making her fade into the background, complimented her long flowing hair and highlighted her intense green eyes. Without even who she was, Michelle’s heart skipped a beat. She didn’t mean to stare, but she was drawn to the woman and wasn’t able to take her eyes away from her.

The train jerked violently and Michelle found herself being suddenly thrown forward. As she fell into the man in front of her she was just able to glimpse the name on the woman’s nametag. Gabrielle. The pleasure she got from learning her name was lost almost instantly however, due to the fact that she was now attached to the man in front.

“I’m so sorry, I didn’t mean to fall into you.” She said to the man as she attempted to extract herself from him, who, from the noises he was making, seemed to be getting much too much pleasure from the whole incident.

Trying not to look him in the eye Michelle looked over his shoulder, preferring to catch glimpses, however slight, of Gabrielle.

Once she had managed to regain her stance and composure, Michelle found that in all the movement that had occurred during the jolt she was now able to see Gabrielle directly, but was still unable to move any closer to her. The train jerking to one side hadn’t seemed to bother Gabrielle; she was completely absorbed in the book she was reading. Standing there, looking at her luscious hair and figure hugging uniform, Michelle ran Gabrielle’s name over and over in her head, enjoying the wonderful flow it seemed to have. The name, for Michelle, conjured up mystery and far flung adventures, something that she longed to have in her life. Since breaking up with her over powering ex three months ago Michelle had continued doing her nine to five job, trying to throw herself into her work to dull th
e pain. Now perhaps, she thought, it finally was time to move on. Her stomach knotted at the thought of unrequited love, and wondered how one could possibly fall in love with someone only seen from a distance. She knew it was pointless getting her hopes worked up; there was no way she would be able to push her way over to Gabrielle’s seat. Even if she did, she hadn’t got the faintest idea of what to say without seeming like a slightly demented stalker

Michelle suddenly realised that Gabrielle had looked up from her book, and was now looking straight at her.

Had she been staring? She wasn’t sure, she prayed she hadn’t been.

Not only was Gabrielle looking at her, but she was also smiling and Michelle felt the world spin slightly. A swarm of butterflies seemed to appear from nowhere and take up home in her stomach as she gazed into Gabrielle’s deep green eyes. She could do nothing except smile back in what she hoped was a friendly and welcoming way. In response she received another smile that went all the way up into Gabrielle’s green eyes, and then a wink before she looked back down at her book. Michelle remained still, her body unable to move as the train seemed to melt away leaving only herself and Gabrielle.

With a sigh, Michelle realised that nothing would ever happen from a meeting so brief on a train. Trying to stop thinking about the impossible she forced herself to look out of the windows, watching the passing landscape, noticing how the land alternated between lush green of the fields and mottled greys of the towns. Every now and then the train would stop to let passengers on and off but it seemed that the area she was stood in never got any less crowded.

When she finally looked back to Gabrielle she was still immersed in her book. Michelle watched the light gently trace the outline of her cheekbones, and despite herself she looked wantonly at Gabrielle’s soft, full lips. She was still staring when the green eyes looked back up at her. Forcing herself to stop, Michelle smiled at her apologetically and was greeted again with a slight smile that warmed her heart. Just before Gabrielle looked back down she slowly licked her lips, and Michelle had to hold back a frustrated moan and briefly look away. A movement in the corner of her eye caught her attention, and she looked back to see that Gabrielle had shifted slightly in her seat and was holding the book higher than before. The thing that caught her attention the most was the addition of a leaflet, now being used as a bookmark. As Michelle looked Gabrielle rotated it until it was the right way around and she was able to read it.
