  “Aiden?”

“Yes, flower?” I walked back towards her.

“I just want to get one thing clear. I don’t share. If you want us to be together then you need to stay away from the bunnies. No more calling them babe, hugs, dancing or kissing them.”

“You got it, flower.” I smiled at her, stepping closer.

“I mean it. That really hurt me back there.”

“I’m sorry. It won’t happen again. You’re the only person I want warming my bed.”

She sighed and shook her head slightly.

“I’m not looking for a fuck buddy.”

“Neither am I. It scares me as I’ve never wanted a relationship before. But I see a future with you.”

  “You do?”

“Yeah I do.” I leaned in and kissed her once more before waltzing down the hall and into the living area.

Nate was sitting on the floor in front of the TV with some cartoon shit on, I ambled into the kitchen and eased open the stainless steel fridge door and grabbed a beer. I used the bottle opener that was attached to the wall and threw the lid in the bin. I joined Nate in the living room and pulled out my phone from my jeans pocket. I glanced up when I heard Jasmine.

“Do you have tea? Milk? Juice?” She nodded her head at Nate.

“Yes, flower.” I smiled at her as I lowered my phone into my lap.

“Is it ok if I make us a drink?”

“Please, don’t ask. If you want something, help yourself.”

“Thank you.” She scurried into the kitchen and filled the kettle. I loved having an open plan living room and kitchen, everything was within easy reach and now I could watch a sexy woman making herself at home.

“Nate, do you want some juice?” she called out.

“I’m hungry,” he complained. Shit, food. I never very rarely ate here, the cupboards were just about empty. I shot to my feet and joined her in the kitchen.

“Flower, I don’t have a lot of food. I’ll just order us a pizza.”

“Don’t be silly, I’ll pop to the shops and grab something.” I slipped my hand into hers as she started to move away.

“We’ll all go.” She nodded. “Nate, grab your shoes, we’re heading out.” He looked up at me, sighed and climbed to his feet.

We all got out of the car outside of the supermarket that was just down the road from where I lived, it wasn’t massive but it didn’t need to be.

I grabbed a trolley as Jasmine picked up a basket.

“We only need something for tonight,” she stated.

“We may as well stock up. You’ll be staying for a few days at least.”

“You’ll be fed up of us by then,” she muttered. I wound my arm around her waist and pushed her inside along with the trolley that Nate was clinging on to.

“What do you like to eat?” she asked as she looked through a pile of oranges, picking out the best ones.

“I’ll eat anything.” I leant on the handle of the trolley, shopping was boring as hell but I loved seeing Jasmine in mum mode. She picked out a selection of fruits and vegetables, bread, cereals, milk and a variety of stuff to make meals with. If it was me shopping I would have gone straight for the ready meals, they’re perfect; cooked in the microwave in three minutes, no waiting around.

“Can we have these?” Nate asked holding up a bag of jam doughnuts.

“Of course, dude.” He threw them in the trolley and went running back to the bakery section.

“And these?” He held up a bag of cookies and I nodded my head as I perused the fresh cake counter. I picked up a whole chocolate cheesecake and added it to the trolley along with some Cornish clotted cream.

Jasmine would leave me and Nate with the trolley as she ran down an aisle to pick up various items.

“We all done?” I asked once we neared the checkout queues.

“Yeah, I think so.” She bent over the trolley and dug out the items, laying them on the conveyor belt. I couldn’t help but admire that gorgeous arse of hers.

“What’s all this?” she asked, pointing to the junk food.

“Dessert.” I answered, ushering Nate forward so we could start packing bags.

“Hello,” the cashier practically sung at us. I smiled at her and looked back at Jasmine.

“Do we really need three deserts?”

“Yep,” Nate and I said at the same time. I held my hand up in the air for a high five and he jumped and slapped my hand. He was a cool little dude.

The cashier told us the amount and as Jasmine started digging through her bag I pushed my card into the machine and typed in my pin.

“Thank you. Enjoy the rest of your day.” She smiled, handing me the receipt.

“Wait, what?” Jasmine looked at me confused, holding her purse in her hand.

“Come on, flower, you’re holding up the line.” I linked our hands together and pulled her out of the shop.

“Solar, I was going to pay,” she complained. I stopped walking when we got to the car and I pulled her close to me.

“What did I say about using my name when we were alone?”

“We’re not alone.” She pointed at Nate.

“Flower, I meant when we weren’t at the clubhouse or around my brothers.”

“Ok… but, Aiden, I was still going to pay.”

  “Who’s Aiden?” Nate asked.

“That’s my name, little dude.” I chuckled as I loaded the bags into the boot of the car.

“I like Solar better, its way cooler.”

“You can call me whatever you like.” I ruffled his hair again before heading over to the trolley bay.

“Come on, get in.” Jasmine held open the back door and Nate climbed in, pulling his seat belt on and she did the same. I revved the engine and drove us home.

  Chapter 15

  Jasmine

I walked into Solar’s bedroom after checking on Nate once more. He was out like a light which surprised me after all of the sugar he had consumed this evening. My breath hitched in my throat when I looked up to see Solar sitting up in bed, the sheet was around his waist and he was fiddling with his phone. This was the life I had always wanted; a man by my side, a complete family. I had dreams of family nights, meals together, curling up to watch TV, tucking our child in and then snuggling in bed together.

I wasn’t naïve, I knew that wasn’t what this was. I knew the only reason I was here and we were together was because of the danger Nate and I were in. I wanted to feel safe, normal again, Nate had asked several times to go back to school and I wanted to get back to work, get back into our usual routine, but then I knew that would be when I would lose Solar, our two worlds didn’t match; he was a drinker in a leather jacket riding a motorcycle and I was a school teacher, who drank tea and drove a Skoda.

“You coming to bed, flower?” Solar asked as he placed his phone down on his bedside table. I nodded as I walked slowly towards the bed. Why did I feel nervous? He pulled back the sheet for me and I climbed in, laying on my side and facing him.

“I’m sorry we’re disrupting your life so much.”

“Hey, where is this coming from? I want you here.” He matched my position, only his hand was now cupping my jaw so I couldn’t look away from him. “I’ve never shared this bed with anyone else before.”

“Really?” I smiled. This made me very happy.

“Really.” He leant forward and covered my lips with his, my body instantly gravitated towards his and he pulled the sheet out of the way so our bodies could connect. He groaned as my breasts pushed into his bare chest and he forced his leg in between mine. My body came to life and I was pushing onto his leg, he gripped hold of my hips and lifted me until I was straddling him. He pulled my bed t-shirt off over my head and latched onto a nipple. I held his head in place as I rubbed myself against his impressive length. The softness of his beard caressed the skin on my breast and I couldn’t hold back my moans.

“Fuck, flower. I love hearing those sounds come from
that delectable mouth of yours.” I pushed at his chest until he was lying flat on his back and worked my hands and lips all over his gorgeous tattooed skin. He was full of colour and I wanted to take my time exploring his art work. There was everything from his club patch to skulls, flowers and a sexy looking mermaid. Once I reached his hips, I stripped him of his boxers and slipped him into my mouth.

“Shit.” He groaned in pleasure. His thigh muscles tensed as if he was holding back, his hips jerked in small motions but I knew that he wanted to do more.

“Stop and get the fuck up here,” he growled. “Lose the bed shorts too.” I climbed off him and sat on the edge of the bed and pushed my bed wear down my legs and immediately straddled him again. He had already covered himself with a condom.

“You ready for me, flower?” I nodded as I rose above him. Before I could sit back on him, his hand was feeling just how wet I was, he pushed two fingers inside of me and I had to stop myself from coming. “I need you to be completely ready, flower. I don’t want to hurt you.”

“I’m ready.” I panted as I pushed his hand away and impaled myself on him in one single motion. We both groaned together. I swirled my hips around in a circular motion and grabbed at my breasts, tweaking my nipples. His hands trailed up my thighs until he had hold of my hips. He slapped me lightly on the bum and urged me to move up and down. I placed my hands on his chest and started moving, slowly. I could feel the build-up heating my skin; I was flushed and a sheen started covering his body and mine.

“Faster, flower,” he rasped, slapping my bum again.

“No, slow,” My thigh muscles were already burning and I struggled to keep up a steady pace. How guys did this, I’d never know.

“Hold on tight.” He winked as he grabbed my bum cheeks and rose me off the bed slightly. His hips came up off the bed and drove into me over and over again.

“Fuck me, Aiden. Harder, like I know you can.” Before I knew what was happening, I was flying through the air until I was on my hands and knees and Solar slammed back inside of me. In my head, I was chanting, ‘yes, yes, yes’. I was too breathless to chant this out loud.

“Don’t hold back,” I whimpered. His movements became harder and faster. He pushed his hand in between my shoulder blades until the top half of my body was lying flat on the bed. I pushed my hands under the pillow and gripped hold of it, burying my face into the pillow to hide my screams of pleasure. I contracted and pulsed around him as he slowed down, pushing into me one last time and covering my back with his body. His lips were next to my ear and I heard all of his pleasure release from his body.

After we had collapsed there for several minutes, I was struggling to breathe. I wriggled underneath him, which caused him to groan and I could feel him start to harden.

“Can’t breathe,” I complained. The relief was good as I could take a deep breath but I missed the warmth of his skin.

“If you don’t want another round you’d better cover up as that arse is looking very tempting.”

I rolled over onto my back and pulled the sheet up to cover my body. I would quite happily go another round but knew that if I did, I wouldn’t be able to walk in the morning. Solar cleaned himself up and climbed in beside me, pulling me to his chest. He wrapped his arm around my waist and I placed my head and hand over his chest. I was drifting off to sleep when the sound of his phone going off woke me up.

He stretched behind him and grabbed it, a few swipes of his finger and he was tossing his phone on the bed behind me.

“I gotta head to the club early tomorrow. Church meeting.”

  “Ok.”

“You two gotta come with me.”

“Ok.” I knew it was better than arguing with him, I wouldn’t win anyway.

  “Goodnight, flower.”

  “Night, Aiden.”

  Chapter 16

  Solar

I had dragged Jasmine and Nate out of the apartment by eight in the morning and we had arrived at the clubhouse just in time for breakfast. The bunnies always produced a buffet style breakfast and this morning it had included sausages, eggs, bacon, hash browns and baked beans. I was starved and ate well over my fair share. I noticed that Nate’s appetite was as good as mine and I was impressed by how much he actually ate. I noticed how Jasmine stayed out of the way of me and I saw that she only had one of those breakfast smoothies again. She was worried about her weight, which she didn’t need to be at all; she was slim and toned. Her hips flared out slightly but I loved that about her.

“Flower?” I called. Her head snapped up to look at me and I crooked my finger at her. She walked slowly towards me, looking around at everyone else. No one was paying attention to us and Nate was busy talking to Danny; Prez’s son.

“You ok?” she asked. I took the glass out of her hand and took a sip.

“What is this shit?” I held the glass up to her.

  “My breakfast.”

“Why are you drinking this shit?”

“Because it’s my breakfast,” she said again. I rose my eyebrow at her and she continued, “I want to lose just a little bit of weight.”

I stepped in closer to her, there wasn’t much distance left between our bodies so I grazed my lips over her ear.

“Flower, after the workout we had last night, you need to eat so you don’t pass out.” Her chest rose and fell quicker and I knew that she was remembering the way I was pounding into her last night.

“And if you want to do that again, you need to have stamina so no more stupid diet shakes.” I pulled back to look at her in her eyes. “You’re gorgeous. Absolutely stunning.” A slight blush crept over her cheeks. “And this is cute too.” I rubbed my thumb over her cheek. She was about to speak when we got interrupted.

“Church!” Prez yelled. All the guys jumped to their feet and followed him in.

“I won’t be long.” I kissed her quickly and strode over to join my brothers.

As soon as I was seated, Prez slammed the gavel down and got right down to business.

“Pipe and his guys have checked out the address that Eden gave us. Empty.”

Shit, another dead end. When would all this crap be over? Then again, did I want it to all be over? Yes, I wanted Jasmine and Nate safe but that meant her getting on with her life, and was there room in there for me? Did I want her to know the real me?

“Toes, get any and all the info you can on this guy. Tat, talk to Eden again. Solar, see if Jasmine can think of any reason why this guy wants her and her son. Any new info at all, come straight to me.” He slammed the gavel back down and we emptied out of the room. My eyes roamed the room to find Jasmine, she was sitting in the corner talking to Tanya. I headed over there and must have interrupted a conversation.

“But I love him,” Tanya added.

“Does he love you?” I asked.

“Solar!” Jasmine scolded me like I was in the wrong for talking to her like that.

“It’s just a question, flower.” I crossed my arms over my chest and looked down at them.

“We made love last night,” she told us.

“A willing woman in his bed, he’s hardly going to refuse is he?” I glanced at Jasmine and her head was dipped. Shit, what did I say? “Flower, let’s go.” I held my hand out for her and she took it, still not looking at me. Once we were out of ear shot of Tanya, I stopped walking and pressed Jasmine against the wall. Her eyes shot to mine.

“Stop overthinking. That statement was aimed at Tanya, not you. I really like you, flower. Dammit, I shouldn’t but I do. I can’t get enough of you.”

“Why shouldn’t you like me?” she asked. “Because I’m not like them?” She nodded over my shoulder, I followed her gaze and it landed on Missy and Lottie, the club bunnies.

“Hell no. I don’t want you anything like them.”

“Then what is it?” She scrunched her nose up, clearly confused.

“I’m not good enough for you. I’m different than you.”

“Surely, I get the say in who i
s good enough for me.” She crossed her arms across her chest, pushing her breasts up higher. I couldn’t help but let my eyes drop to them. I liked this feisty side of her, it didn’t come out often but when it did it was hot.

“You don’t know everything about me.”

“Then tell me,” she urged, placing her hands on my chest.

“No.” I shook my head, dropping my eyes from hers. “If I tell you, you won’t want me near you and you’ll grab Nate and run.”

“Aiden,” she whispered my name quietly so only I could hear her. She had learnt quickly that this was my weakness, my name falling from her lips.

“You can’t run. I need to protect you, both of you.”

“I won’t run. I promise. It can’t be that bad.” One of her hands was now gripping onto the side of my neck and she squeezed slightly, getting me to look at her.

I sighed and blurted it out, “I’ve been in prison.” Dread filled my stomach and I swear my heart cracked when her hands fell from my body.

“Mum.” We both looked to the side as Nate came around the corner. I didn’t step back like I normally would have, I feared that if I stepped away then I’d lose her forever.

“Oh, we gotta go,” Jasmine said looking at her watch. “We got a meeting at the school,” she told me.

“I’ll drive,” I stated as I finally took a step back, allowing her to move. She nodded her head and grabbed hold of Nate’s hand. We hurried out of the clubhouse and climbed into Jasmine’s sad excuse for a car. She needed a new one, this one had clearly seen better days. “Where am I headed?” She gave me directions and we were soon on the way. As I drove, I kept one hand on the steering wheel and one hand on the gear stick. What surprised me was when she placed her hand on top of mine, I grasped her fingers with mine and smiled to myself. Maybe me being in prison wasn’t a big deal to her, it would be when she found out why I had been in there though.

  Jasmine

It was a shock when Solar had told me he had been to prison. But then didn’t that come with being in a MC? They dealt with guns, drugs and whores after all. Surely the police had sent a few of them down before.
