Twitch Upon a Star

by Herbie J. Pilato

The stamina required to complete this book could not have been sustained without the unconditional love and guidance provided by my sister Pamela R. Mastrosimone, brother-in-law Sam Mastrosimone; nephew Sammy Mastrosimone; my cousins Marie Burgos, Nicolas Burgos, Noreen D’Agostino, Eva Easton-Leaf, David Leaf, Mary Sue Wiengard, Susie Arioli, Gerald Maranca, my aunt Susan Borelli, and my uncle Vincent Tacci.

A special note of thanks to the kind and encouraging loved ones and friends who are no longer here, but who offered a great deal of support through the years: Mary Turri, Elva and Carl Easton, Tony and Anna Fort, Rita (Turri) Tacci, Rita Valerie, Val and Amelia Valerie, Angelo and Alice Schiano, Jerry and Fay Maranca, Frank and Alice Arioli, Anthony Pilato, Ludwig Pilato, Sonny Turri, Pat Borrelli, Donny Arioli, Linda and Mario Bosio, Doris Prince, and my beautiful dog, Boo Boo.

Continued gratitude to Love-Is-God who I believe not only lives in the Light, but is the Light—an awe-inspiring source that constantly offers instructions as to how we are to best lead our lives for the highest good of all those concerned. All we have to do is listen … the instructions are sometimes delivered through whispers and dreams; other messages are loud and clear (Thank God!).

A particularly personal note of deep appreciation to my parents who have passed into spirit: Herbert Pompeii and Frances Turri Pilato or, as they are now known in the Light, Saint Pompeii and Saint Frances of Turri. When I think of them, I think of life itself, and a great spiritual instruction that directly contributed to this book:

Honor Thy Mother and Father not only commands us to respect our parents while they are alive, but directs us to live fully the life we’ve been granted by way of them after they’re gone.

Elizabeth Montgomery did that. She lived fully the life she was given via her mother Elizabeth Allen and father Robert Montgomery, as well as through her maternal grandmother Rebecca Allen, all of whom, for better or worse, were core figures in the development of her refined character.

By completing this story of Elizabeth’s life and career, which is a reflection on the past, I have finished a chapter in my own journal, and will continue to embrace my life and vocation to the best of my ability.

In doing so, I honor my mother and father … as well as the great mother and father of us all.
