The Siren's Son (The Siren Legacy Book 1)

“I will do as you ask. Love you, brother.” They nodded at each other, and Hal stepped to one side.
Alec approached Ellie, and the seriousness of his gaze told her everything she needed to know. Her stomach was filled with butterflies, and she set down the coffee, which she hadn’t even had a sip of yet. Alec sank to one knee in front of her and took both her hands in his own. The number of butterflies in her stomach was growing exponentially by the second.
Alec opened his mouth, and Ellie braced herself for the beauty of the song, but beauty was not what she heard. The most horrid screeching came out. Alec’s words sounded like garbled mush. Ellie could only stand it for a few moments before wrenching her hands out of Alec’s and pressing them to her ears to try to block the sound.
“Stop! Please!” Ellie’s shouted, squeezing her eyes shut as she doubled over, trying to protect herself from the awful noise coming from the man she loved.
After a moment, the noise ceased and Ellie sagged in relief. She tentatively peeled her hands away from her ears and straightened, opening her eyes to find Alec down on all fours, head hanging. She glanced at Hal, who was wearing the biggest smile she had ever seen and immediately dropped to the floor opposite Alec.
“Alec?” She stroked the back of his head. “What’s wrong?”
Alec looked up at her, happiness pouring out of him. “I was right!” he said with tears streaming down his face. “After losing you and then seeing you almost die, only to lose you again to Tír na nÓg, I never thought this day would come.” Ellie searched his eyes, and when the realization of what he said hit her, she sank even lower, wrapping her arms around him.
“Of course you were right. I was just slow to realize it, that’s all.” She kissed him then. Her hands pulling him to her, her body pressing against his wherever it could. “You are mine,” she whispered, her lips grazing his ear before she pulled away.
Alec captured one of her hands and brought it to his lips, tenderly kissing her knuckles. She truly was his, just as he was hers. A soft throat clearing reminded them both Hal was still there. Alec stood and turned to Hal without releasing Ellie’s hand.
“Congratulations, brother.” Hal slapped Alec on the shoulder. “And congratulations to you, Ellie. Alec is an amazing man. Now I shall leave you two to get reacquainted.” He winked at Alec and jumped out.
Ellie’s heart was so full of joy it felt as though it would burst. Surely this wasn’t her life? Alec leaned down and brushed his lips with hers, fanning the fire that had been burning in her since she first saw him. When he went to pull away, she pulled him back, claiming his mouth with her own.
She stepped into him, pressing her body down the length of his. His arms wrapped around her, crushing her to him as his tongue danced with her own. She nipped at his lower lip. One of his hands traveled south, cupping her ass and pressing her into him. She could feel his need pressing against her belly, and she loved it. He groaned deep in his throat when her hands went exploring and cupped that fabulous ass she had been staring at earlier. She pulled away from him slightly.
“Take me to bed.” She breathed in his ear and nibbled his earlobe.
“Your wish is my command.” Alec jumped them upstairs. His breath going ragged from Ellie’s kisses, he walked them toward the bed, and she wrapped both legs around him, the hot core of her pressing against him, driving them both mad with need.
“Wait!” Ellie said suddenly, sliding off Alec as they reached the bed. “Can you undo my dress?” Ellie loved Alec, but they had eternity together and she wanted to keep this dress forever.
His fingers deftly undid the ribbon and lacing, allowing the dress to fall free from Ellie’s curves. She turned as the fabric fell away from her body, and Alec’s sharp intake of breath made her body tighten in response. His eyes traveled over her body hungrily as he whipped his T-shirt over his head and toed off his shoes. Ellie’s hands went to his belt and used it to pull him closer to her as she undid his jeans, pushing them down.
Alec’s erection sprang free and nudged against her belly. She wanted to take him to bed and have him inside her right now, but she also wanted to kiss every inch of his body. She bent her head slightly and took one of his nipples into her mouth while her hand began stroking his thick cock. She had forgotten how soft his skin was and how many scars he had. Ellie made a mental note to ask him about them sometime.
She moved from one nipple to the other as Alec’s breathing grew even more ragged, and a low moan escaped his throat when she cupped his balls with her other hand. She watched him while she sank to her knees. Alec’s head snapped forward, his eyes piercing hers as she took him in her mouth. Stretching her jaw as wide as it would go, she tongued the underside of him while she sucked on him, one hand cupping his balls and the other moving up and down his shaft in time with her mouth.
Alec watched her, drinking in the sight of Ellie on her knees in front of him, taking him into her mouth. He watched as her head bobbed up and down. He could see her breasts swaying with the movement and the sweet globes of her ass resting on her feet. The sight was too much. If he didn’t look away, then he wasn’t going to last.
“Ellie,” he moaned, his voice hoarse with desire. “Get on the bed.” It was all he could manage. If she kept going, he was going to explode, and he promised himself he would be inside her when that happened. The pumping movement that had been driving him to the edge stopped, and he could breathe again. He opened his eyes just in time to see Ellie climbing on the bed, her sweet ass waving in the air as she crawled forward. He just about lost it then and there. He moved forward, grabbing her by the hips, and flipped her over.
“Now it’s my turn.” He almost growled at her.
Alec took the taught bud of a nipple between his fingers and rolled, pinching ever so slightly. Ellie moaned, and it was the sweetest sound he had ever heard. His mouth clasped her other nipple momentarily, and he gently nipped it. Kissing his way down her body, Ellie’s breathing turned into gasps, and finally Alec was just above his prize. He spread her legs wide and placed a gentle kiss on her core, earning a moan. He sucked the little nub of pleasure before thrusting his tongue into her opening.
His fingers continuing to play with her bundle of nerves, he timed the thrusts with his fingers, and soon Ellie was bucking off the bed, her body moving in time with his motions. He licked up and down, thrust his tongue in and out, devouring her, lapping up her sweet nectar. He had never tasted anything so amazing.
When her hands fisted the sheets, he knew it wouldn’t be long, and a moment later, Ellie’s body was bucking with the intensity of her orgasm, electricity flying from her hands, scorching the ceiling once more. He lapped at her until he had wrung every last shudder from her body. Kissing his way up, he nudged at her slick opening with the tip of his cock, and when Ellie looked at him, she moaned as he slid home in one stroke.
Ellie came again as he filled her, the scream ripping from her throat as her body clenched around his cock. He waited until she caught her breath, and then he slowly started to move. He pumped in and out in long, steady strokes. She fit his cock perfectly as he filled her to capacity, relishing every second of it. Her hands came up and pulled him down to her, kissing him deeply. Ellie let herself be completely at his mercy, and he loved it. He bit her lower lip, and bracing himself on one arm, his other hand played with her nipple. He could feel her body reacting again. The orgasm was close.
“Show me your wings,” she moaned as Alec’s thrusts became more frantic.
He paused momentarily and shook his shoulders, releasing the glamour that hid his wings. The big ebony feathers glistened in the light, and he remembered when she had first touched them. Ellie’s eyes locked with his as he thrust into her and then rocked up and down. Ellie brought her hands up and ran them down the edges of his wings.
Alec almost lost it. He froze and willed the orgasm to back off. He wanted to make Ellie come again before he sought his own release. When he had control again, he raised hims
elf up so he was thrusting into Ellie from a kneeling position. He extended his wings around them so she could keep touching them.
Alec had never trusted anyone with this before, and it was the most erotic thing he had ever experienced. His hands came down and began playing with Ellie’s nipples. Her movements on his wings became more erratic as he brought her closer to the edge. He could feel her body tightening around his own and was fighting his own release with everything he had. His fingers pinched her nipples a little harder, and it was enough to push her over the edge.
Ellie’s orgasm truly was a magnificent thing to behold. The lightning shot from her hands and scorched the ceiling, barely missing his wings. He tried to fight to last longer, but the sounds coming from his woman were enough to undo him even if he wasn’t buried hilt-deep in her sweetness. As he was, Alec lost the battle for control and two thrusts later was joining her with his own release. He bellowed her name to the sky as his cock pulsed inside her. The scent of their joining perfumed the air. Alec collapsed on top of her with a happy cock and an even happier heart.
As Alec rolled off her, she snuggled up to him. His wing pulled her closer, relishing being able to touch her like this.
“I love you,” he whispered through ragged breaths.
“I love you too.” She wiggled up and kissed his cheek before resting her head on his shoulder.
They lay like that for a while before Alec broke the silence. “Ellie, I have to tell you something.”
When all he got in return was a snore, he decided it could wait.
The next morning, they made love again—and again—before Ellie’s stomach let them know it wasn’t amused by the delay in food.
She slipped into one of Alec’s T-shirts, savoring being surrounded in his scent as they went downstairs. Alec had a hard time keeping his hands off Ellie as he made them a quick breakfast of scrambled eggs.
“Ellie, I need to ask you something,” Alec said as he moved the eggs around in the pan.
“What’s wrong?” Ellie’s stomach clenched at the thought that something could ruin the happiness they had found.
“How long do you think you were in Tír na nÓg?” Alec said as he put a plate of eggs in front of her.
“Brigid said I was unconscious for over a week. So I don’t know… a week and a half?”
Alec sighed and rubbed his hands together, squatting down next to her. “My love, time works differently there. You were gone for over two and a half years.”
“No, that can’t be right.” Ellie’s mind was reeling. She was only gone a week or so, that’s all.
“I’m afraid it is, love. Here”—Alec handed her his phone—“look at the date.”
Ellie swiped across the screen to turn it on. It was November again, and it was almost three years from the February when she had spread her grandparents’ ashes. “Oh. My. God.” Her stomach dropped. “What about my apartment and all my stuff? Oh no, the storage unit. Granddad’s stuff will all have been given away.” A lump formed in her throat at the thought of losing everything.
“I hope you don’t mind, but I have a lot of it at our house on the mainland. I thought when you returned, you could decide what to do with it. I was hoping you would stay with me for a while, but if you want to stay at the house, you can do that too. And I kept all your grandfather’s stuff in storage. We can have it shipped to our mainland house whenever you want.”
“Oh, thank goodness.” Ellie’s relief was almost overwhelming. “And of course I’ll stay here. I cannae imagine being that far away from ye.” She leaned over and kissed Alec on the forehead.
“That’s good since I’ve got most of your more personal belongings and most of the brownies in the basement.” Alec grinned at her. “They’ve been helping me and the brothers out.”
Ellie swatted him on the arm, and her heart was filled with joy. Alec knew her better than anyone, and she couldn’t wait to spend the rest of her life with him.
Epilogue
Six weeks later.
“Well, that’s the last of it,” Ellie said, wrapping herself up in her brand new winter coat that was designed for the weather on the Eastern Seaboard.
“Thank the gods! I was beginning to think it would never end!” Alec smiled at her and put on his own coat. “I had no idea MacLeod had so much stuff in his store!” They had moved all Granddad’s stuff into the house on the mainland, where Ellie could go through it at her leisure.
“Me either until I had to put it on a credit card to get it all to Inverness.”
“Well, we’ve got it all here now.” Alec smiled at her. “I’m just glad I don’t have to go through it.”
She laughed and stood on her tiptoes to kiss Alec’s nose before he went out to start the car. They had decided to go out to dinner with the brothers for Christmas. Ellie was wrapping her scarf around and tugging on her hat and gloves when she felt the hairs on the back of her neck prickle as though she was being watched. When she turned around, she didn’t expect to see Zeus standing there.
“Your Highness,” she said, dropping into a quick curtsy. He looked the same as he had before, almost exactly so, except his eyes literally had forks of lightning going across them.
“Ellie, it’s a pleasure to see you again.” Zeus raked his eyes over her body, leaving her feeling exposed and vulnerable, which was funny considering how many layers she was wearing. When she didn’t respond, Zeus seemed to get slightly frustrated. “So, your soul mate is one of the siren’s sons, hmm? I should have known.”
“We didn’t expect it to turn out that way, Your Highness.”
“Let me see the marks.” Zeus’s eyes crackled with power.
“How did you know?” Ellie’s eyes widened. She kept the glamour up whenever she was off the siren’s island.
“My Lord.” Alec dropped to a knee behind Zeus as he came back into the house.
“Stand up, son of the siren. You may go to your love.”
Alec hurried to Ellie’s side and put a protective arm around her. She gave his hand a squeeze, thankful for his presence.
“I was just asking your soul mate if I could see her lightning marks. I want to be sure she is not one of mine.”
“I promise she is not, my lord, but I’m sure Ellie would be willing to show you. Wouldn’t you, Ellie?” Alec gave her hand an encouraging squeeze.
“Uh, yeah, sure, I mean, yes.” Ellie took off her winter coat, scarf, gloves, and hat and focused on relaxing. She thought about Alec and how he was the first one who ever saw them outside of Tír na nÓg. When she opened her eyes, she knew they were visible. Zeus approached. His large rough hand took her jaw and lifted her head up and to the side as he examined the pale blue lighting that covered the skin on her neck.
He picked up both her hands and examined those, following the marks up her arms; he pulled the sleeves of her T-shirt up and seemed mesmerized by the fact that they spread across her chest. Zeus’s hands went to the bottom of Ellie’s T-shirt and began to lift it. Ellie’s eyes went wild as she looked at Alec. She didn’t know what to do, but she did know this wasn’t what she wanted.
“My lord? Surely you’ve gathered the information you need from the marks that are visible here,” Alec said, taking Ellie’s hands.
“Do the marks extend over her whole body?”
“No, my lord.” Alec solemnly shook his head.
“It is clear you are not one of mine. I would never disfigure one of my children so.” Zeus was clearly disgusted with the marks on Ellie’s skin.
“Of course not, my lord.”
“You are lucky, son of the siren. When I heard you were still with your plaything, I was tempted to drive her mad like I did with your brother’s friend or just take her for myself, but Aphrodite scolded me and reminded me of the power of soul mates.” Zeus looked at them both with wary eyes. “I will not separate you, but do not cross me.”
“My lord, we would never.” Alec bowed again.
“She was a pretty thing. It’s a sha
me her powers have ruined her. Enjoy your time together.”
“My lord.” Alec dropped to a knee, and Ellie curtsied as Zeus walked away.
Ellie was shaking by the time they stood up. He wrapped her in his arms and rubbed circles on her back.
“Shhh, my love.” He kissed the top of her head and gently raised her face to his with a knuckle under her chin. “He cannot separate us; he may as well have said so himself. It was only fear that brought him before us.”
“Am I disfigured?” Ellie whispered.
“Not in the slightest. I love your markings, or have I not shown you that enough?” Alec kissed her hands and followed the markings up her arm until he was kissing along her neck and back to her mouth. “I will show you as many times as I need to that you are more beautiful than ever to me, and nothing will ever change that.”
Heat flared between them as Ellie kissed Alec’s mouth, his lips yielding to her will. He wrapped his arms around her again and crushed her to him. She wished they were back home so she could let him show her exactly how irresistible he found her.
“By the gods, do you two ever not suck face?” Hal called from the doorway. “I’m actually surprised you made it here in one piece, given you can’t keep your hands off each other.”
“You’re just jealous,” Alec called between kisses.
“Well, I’m not going to stand here and just watch you two make out. Are we going to get dinner or not?”
“We should go,” Ellie said, giving Alec one last peck before removing herself from kissing distance. “We’re coming, Hal. Keep ye trousers on.”
Ellie had noticed over the past few weeks that the brothers were all happier and more playful. She guessed after centuries of being alone, finding out you could have a soul mate made everyone hopeful again.
They were lying in bed that night when Alec started looking mischievous. “Merry Christmas, my love.” Alec handed her a small rectangular box, and Ellie’s face lit up.
