The Yes Girl

“Floor to ceiling windows in the bathroom?”
“You never want to miss the view. And those are mirrored windows."
He turns to look at me. “You are a very thoughtful girl, Alexandra.” Then he wraps his arms around me and kisses my nose.
“What do you mean?” I rest my hands on his chest.
“The design of your house is simple, yet beautiful, just like nature. No curtains, no glass shower enclosures, not a lot of furniture, I haven’t seen a television yet.”
“There’s one on the very bottom floor. I come up here to simplify. I don’t spend a lot of time inside the house.”
“Like I said you are a very thoughtful girl. You think deeply about things, and I love that about you.” Nick kisses my mouth. “And I can’t believe you’ve done this all by yourself. I know many people who wait to live until they have someone, they go through the motions of existing waiting for that day for their life to start until that so called perfect person comes into their life.”
I respond with a simple shrug of my shoulders. I never gave it much thought. I planned everything with a family in mind, but always that was a pipe dream.
I give Nick a tour through the other five bedrooms and adjoining bathrooms. We then go to the bottom floor, which houses a pool table and large bar. On the wall is the only flat screen television in the house surrounded by oversized chairs and couches. There are glass doors and more windows the length of the house that exit out into the back yard.
I grab two wine glasses from behind the bar and a bottle of white wine from the beverage refrigerator. As I uncork the bottle, I ask Nick if he’d like to sit down by the water.
We walk down the subtle slope of my backyard towards the lake. My bare feet sink into the cool blades of grass with each step. We stare out at the pristine lake. There are two people in separate kayaks gliding along the water. The sun is still high above the mountains cascading golden rays on the lake.
I hadn’t been up here since April but called my gardener to prepare the property for our arrival. He put out the Adirondack chairs along the shoreline with accompanying side tables. On the deck above the boathouse, he opened hot tub.
“Do you come up here alone?” Nick asks.
“Sometimes, most times, but Jill and Bob come for long weekends, and I’m close to the neighbors here.” Though neighbors aren’t next door, like they are at home, by boat they are only minutes away. “It’s a retreat for me. I spend a lot of time up here by myself. Though I like having guests.” I pause for a moment as an idea surfaces. “I would even be up for your entire family coming up next weekend for Labor Day.”
“Really?” Nick questions me.
“Absolutely, there are enough bedrooms, and if we need more room, the bottom floor has pullout beds. The kids could sleep down there. Space is not a problem. We could spend the week together, and they could all come on Friday and stay until Tuesday morning if they like.”
Nick enthusiasm takes over. He fishes his cell phone out from his pants pocket.
“That might not work here. We should walk up and use the house phone.”
Back at the house, Nick calls his parents to invite them for the weekend. I can hear his mom’s muffled voice through the phone. “Nick that’s wonderful, we’ll be there. I’ll call your brothers and sisters.”
“Okay mom, I’ll email you the address. It will take you about three and a half hours without traffic.”
“Can I talk to Alex?”
Nick puts his hand over the receiver and whispers, “She wants to talk to you.” I shake my head and stretch out my hand. “Mom, I’m passing the phone to Alexandra. I love you, I’ll see you Friday.”
“Hi, Kate. I’m so glad you can make it up next weekend.”
“Oh Honey, I can’t wait. You know I grew up on a farm, so I like things a little more spaced out than they are here.”
I find Kate endearing, “Well, you’ll like it here, it’s very spaced out and close to nature.”
“Alex, I can’t wait to see you again and make sure you email us if there is anything we should bring.”
Kate is lovely. Her sentiment chokes me. “Kate, I look forward to seeing you too. We have everything we need. Your son went crazy at Wal-Mart.”
Kate laughs, “I can only imagine especially since it was probably his first time in a Wal-Mart.” She pauses. “If anything changes though let us know, and if not, then we’ll just bring all the noise.”
“Perfect.” I hang up the phone and look at Nick. Something comes over me, and I break out in a fit of tears. I barely get the words out. “I love your mom, and I can’t wait to see her.”
Nick wraps his arms around me. He takes his thumbs and wipes the tears from my eyes. “Oh baby, it will be fun having everyone here, but I think I will most enjoy our alone time together. I have six days and seven nights with you with no interruption, I will take full advantage.”
I gain my composure, as I think about my time alone with Nick. “I cry so easily lately, I’m sorry. I’m just happy.”
“Baby, you are too sweet. I’ve never been happier.”
With his words, I cry some more.
Nick holds my head into his chest as my tears saturate his tee shirt. “How about a swim?”
We walk upstairs to the master bedroom. Nick unpacks his bags onto the bed. “Nick, that closet over there is empty for you to use.” I walk into my closet and strip down to nothing. I reach up on the top shelf for a basket. I pull the basket down and fish through my bikinis. I pull out a deep, rich, green bikini and step into the bottoms. As I scoot the bikini bottom over my behind Nick startles me. He stands in the doorway of my closet watching me. “I didn’t know I had an audience.” I giggle as I put my arms through the bikini’s straps. I walk towards Nick and turn my back to him.
Nick fastens my bikini top, and upon finishing, he moves his hands around me cupping my breasts. “They’re so full today.”
I look down at Nick’s hands cupping my breasts. They are rather full. Maybe it’s a little water weight. I have been very emotional. My period showed up but only for a day and then nothing, so it must be what’s wrong with me. What a week to be getting it. Nick lifts and gathers my breasts together while he pushes his erection against my lower back.
I look down at my tits. Geez, my C’s, look like full D’s.
He nuzzles his face into my hair and takes in a deep breath. “Alexandra, I need to make love to you right now.”
I turn to face Nick. I reach down, take his hand, and walk him to my bed. “You know I feel odd admitting this, but this will be a first for me.”
“What’s a first?” Nick asks as he helps me pull back the comforter.
“Having sex in this house. I’ve never brought a man that I was dating to this house.” I pause. “I never wanted it tainted. It’s my sanctuary, and I wanted to keep it that way.”
“So you feel about me the way I feel about you. I want to share my entire life with you.”
“I do, but even if for some awful unforeseen reason we’re not meant to be forever, I still want to share this part of my life with you at this moment.”
Nick let’s out a long, deep sigh. “Alex, the realist. I’ll accept that, but remember even if you try to run; I will come after you. Whether it’s sooner or later, I’ll catch up with you.”
I can’t help but laugh. “You’re so confident.”
Nick guides me onto the bed and covers me with the weight of his body. “I am confident because I know no matter what we will be together.”
Nick and I enjoyed the slowest, sensual lovemaking followed by a twenty- minute nap in each other’s arms.
After our nap, Nick sits propped up on a pillow. “I can’t believe how beautiful the view is from the back of your house.”
“My aunt and her husband built a house when they bought the property. It was the house I grew up with on this lake. I tried to keep it in tack, but for what I wanted, it made more sense to tear it down and build this. I’m
glad I did. I love this home, and I love that it lends itself to nature.”
I worried that along with tearing down the house, so to would my memories go, but when the crew finished the construction, I never questioned whether I made the right decision, I knew I did. Growing up I never had a house of my own, so building my lake house, and the house in Jersey solidified my life for me. It was what I needed. I needed the security to call something my own.
After a nice swim and dinner, Nick and I walk down to the lake with a bottle of cold white wine and a few citronella candles. We lounge out on the Adirondack chairs staring up at the moon soaked sky. The stars flood the night sky. It’s always amazing how many stars appear in the sky with the absence of artificial light. A cool breeze skims over us as we sit by the water enjoying the waves lapping against the shoreline.
“Alexandra, this is the closest thing to heaven.” Nick extends his hand across the side table between my chair and his. I can see it in his face that he is relaxed. His eyes are glossy, and his skin bears a warm glow.
It’s peaceful. There is only the moonlight, the stars, and the warm glow of light in the windows of the few surrounding homes.
“Are you ever afraid when you are here by yourself?” Nick pauses and continues before I can answer. “I can’t imagine that you are, but the thought crossed my mind.”
“Never. I own many shotguns.”
An awkward laugh escapes from Nick. “Really?”
“Every girl should own a shotgun or two.”
I look over at Nick the citronella candle is casting a warm light on his face. “Nick,” I say.
“Yes Baby.”
“I’d like to have you right now. You, in my mouth.”
Nick moans and moves his hands to his crotch. He unbuttons his shorts and pulls his zipper down, his softer than normal erection springs from his pants.
I stand up in front of Nick. I kneel in front of him and nudge his knees, so they open wider. I position myself between his knees and take his cock in my hands. The contrast of his silky soft skin and his growing hard erection stirs something deep in my belly. I inhale. The smell of him is intoxicating. It is the smell of Nick mixed with soap and fabric softener. I move up and down the shaft with my hands and move my mouth over his tip. I get the tip wet then with my tongue and trail down the shaft. I cover Nick with my saliva, and I have enough slippage to devour him in my mouth. I bring him into my throat and as I move up my hand follows my mouth. As I get to the tip, I suck hard and swirl my tongue around the rim, my hand still working the shaft. Nick rakes his fingers through my hair. He moans my name followed by some other words of appreciation. I am, all lips, tongue, hands and wetness and I move Nick deep in my throat pacing myself more rapidly. I feel his erection at its breaking point.
“Oh, Baby, that’s incredible. Fuck, what are you doing?” Nick garbles his words of appreciation.
It get’s so hard right before he comes and then at its release, His warm, thick come slides down my throat.
I sit back on my ankles looking at the man I love, lost in his pleasure, and it brings me great pleasure. I turn and rest my back against his legs while staring out at the water. We sit in silence until we both feel chilled.
I stand up and reach out my hand to Nick, “Bed?”
“Bed.” Nick grabs my hand as I help lift him out of the chair. “I could fall asleep by the sound of this water lapping against the shore.”
“That’s good, because with our bedroom windows open we’ll be able to hear it all night.”
Chapter 18
Alexandra
My eyes open with no trepidation. No fuzzy head, no I still want to sleep, no please shut the blinds, I wake feeling rested from the deepest sleep. I turn to look at Nick, and he is still with his eyes shut, and I hear his breathing.
I slip out from under the sheet so not to wake him and make my way downstairs to the back of the house. I take a deep breath in and stretch up as I look out at the lake. It’s a beautiful summer morning.
I unlock the doors and fold them back onto each other like an accordion with only the screen doors separating us. The entire back of the house opens to the deck.
I busy myself in the kitchen making coffee and slicing the ripened mango we bought yesterday. I brew the coffee and take a cup with a slice of mango and have a seat outside at the table. I close my eyes and turn my face up to the warm sun. Lost in my thoughts about being here with Nick, I jump when I feel his hands on my shoulders.
“Good Morning.” Nick stands behind my chair looking down at me. I look up at him and smile. “Good Morning, how did you sleep?”
He kisses my forehead. “I had the best night's sleep. I didn’t know I could sleep that deeply.” Nick wears only his boxer briefs. I will never grow tired of looking at him or touching him, or his strong hands touching me.
“I think it’s the air up here. I always sleep well when I’m here.”
“You look amazing.” Nick squeezes my shoulders and looks out onto the lake. “It’s beautiful today.”
“Nick, do you want coffee?”
“Yes, please. I’ll help you. I need to get familiar with everything.”
Nick follows me into the kitchen. I give him a quick tour of the cabinets. He opens the fridge and grabs the half and half. He prepares his coffee and pops a piece of mango in his mouth. I grab two yogurts, and Nick takes the plate of mango slices and his coffee out to the deck.
We sit in peaceful silence while we enjoy our breakfast and the outdoors. I look over at Nick. He seems to have a perpetual smile on his face as he looks out onto the lake. “The lake is quiet.”
“It's always quiet on this end, it’s never inundated with motor boats.” I pause as I sip my coffee. “We’ll take the boat out this morning for a tour. We have to go across the lake for gas, and I want to introduce you to my neighbors, Millie and Sam. It will be the first time I’m seeing them for the season.”
“You know that they are up here.”
“They come for Memorial Day weekend and don’t leave until the week after Labor Day.”
“They’re retired?” Nick asks.
“No, Millie doesn’t work, but Sam can do his job remotely. Oh, and by the way, they love to eat at the Sagamore, which is a big hotel on the Lake. They love the restaurant there. They will invite us, so let me know if it’s something you want to do before I commit.”
Nick leans over and reaches for my hand. “Baby, I want to do everything with you. Whatever you normally do is what I want to do.”
“Are you sure?” My voice is flirtatious.
“Ms. Adams, what do you have in mind?”
“You.”
Nick stands up and reaches for the last two pieces of mango. He feeds one to me and pops the other into his mouth. He reaches for my hands, and I stand to face him. He leans down and kisses my mouth as I chew my mango. “Let’s go upstairs.” His voice is a needy whisper.
“Alex, I love this, it’s so beautiful.” Nick shouts out to me as we speed down the lake towards the filling station.
“Wait till you see it all. After we get gas, we’ll take a more leisurely cruise so that you can see the entire lake.”
I pull up to the dock where a young guy, maybe in his early twenties, greets us. As I swing the boat around, he yells out to Nick. “Hey there, throw me the lines, I’ll lead you in.” He waves to Nick.
“Thanks man.” Nick tosses him the spring lines. The young man ties it to the dock and fills the tank with gas. “Credit?”
“Cash. Put in three hundred dollars, please.”
“No problem.” The young man steps away. I ask Nick if he wants to look around inside the convenient store. “No, I’m fine right here. Do you need anything?”
Before I can answer him, I hear a familiar voice calling out my name. I look behind me. “Sam!”
Sam walks out of the small convenient store carrying a brown paper bag in his hand. “Alexandra, Millie didn’t tell me you were coming up this weekend.”
r /> “I didn’t have time to tell her, but we’re going to your place right after we fill up. This is Nick. Nick this is Sam.”
Nick and Sam shake hands. “Good to meet you, Alex told me about The Sagamore Hotel and was hoping we could have dinner there one night.” Nick says.
“Oh yeah man, it’s my favorite place. Stop by after filling up, and we’ll talk to Millie. I’m heading there now…Millie will be excited.”
Sam looks back one more time to wave as he pulls away in his boat.
“He’s a really happy guy. I like him a lot.” Nick smiles.
“Oh Nick, you don’t know the half of it. Sam and Millie are the two sweetest people I have ever met. I have never seen two people enjoy life more than them.”
“My parents will like them. Maybe we should invite them over this weekend, too.” Nick suggests.
I can’t help but laugh. “Nick, don’t worry Sam and Millie are a staple here at the lake. They know everyone and everyone knows them. They aren’t shy. We’ll be seeing a lot of them. It’s always a good time. I love them both.” When Sam and Millie arrive, the party begins. Over the years, they have become two very important people in my life.
We pull up to Sam and Millie’s dock. Nick jumps out of the boat with the spring lines and secures them to the dock. Before I even turn the boat off, Millie walks down from her house towards us.
“Alexandra!” Millie is all smiles as she waves to us.
As she gets closer, she looks at Nick. With her arms reaching out, she walks right up to Nick and gives him a big hug.
“You must be Nick. My husband told me he met you at the filling station.” She releases Nick from her hug, but now holds him at arm’s length. “Oh my, you are extremely good looking.”
I stand about four feet behind Nick. Millie looks over Nick’s shoulder towards me to mouth her approval, “Alexandra, he’s hot.”
“It's Millie, right?” Nick laughs at Millie in all her glory.
