“Okay, it’s okay,” said Officer Ford, picking up Paty to carry her to the waiting boat.

Bella realizes that it is the SEAL officer and breaths out in relief. Gracias dios mio, she thought, getting up to follow him into the ocean. Hmmm … I wonder where Jessy is at. Bella turns to look back. “We need to get Jessy,” she said, putting a mano on Officer Ford’s brazo.

“Jessy is on the boat,” responds Officer Ford without looking at her, continuing into the water.

How does he know that? Bella thought, looking into the ocean, not seeing anything. Damn, I need to trust him because he knows what he’s doing. Okay, I’m staying close to him because I don’t want to be left behind. I need to get back to Greg, she thought with an enormous anguishing heartache.

Officer Ford wads into the water a few more feet, hands Paty over to the SEAL.

He then turns, picks Bella up putting her into the inflatable boat. Si, I can see Jessy, and she looks okay, thought Bella with felicidad.

The SEAL on the boat quickly takes Paty down the boat to inspect her injuries. The SEAL grabs his medical bag, started extracting the bullet from Paty’s thigh. Hmm … it’s a good thing that it didn’t go in real deep, he thought as he extracts the bullet. There is another wound but I see that the bullet went through and out her thigh. This is good, he thought as he starts to clean the wounds, putting pressure as it starts to bleed again. Then he dabs a bit of antiseptic ointment on the wounds.

I need to put some butterfly enclosures until we get to the medical department on the ship, he thought as he puts some antiseptic ointment over the butterfly enclosures. Then the SEAL dresses the wounds. This should be good until she gets stiches.

Bella sees as the SEAL extracts the bullet. Oh dios mio, she thought as she feels sick, went over the boat to vomit. This is too much. I’m tired and scared, she thought, turning to look at Jessy. Jessy hands her a bottle of water.

Jessy doesn’t look good and moves closer to her. “You’re okay?” she asks, concerned with how pale she looks.

“Si,” said Jessy, looking out into the ocean.

Hmmm … she looks to be in shock. What do I do about it? I don’t know.

Officer Ford turns to the SEAL putting on his ski mask. “Take them to the ship and come back,” he instructs into the speaker getting off the boat. I need to get to the SEALs and get them out of this hellhole. Who knows how many are on the compound.

El Mextli yells out in frustration. “Que en la chingada is happening! Jaime!” he yells at the top of his lungs. He walks to the door of his officina.

Jaime is just walking down the hall when he hears the gunshots. He starts to turn to go and investigate when he hears El Mextli call him. Damn it, what does he want now, he thought, turning around to go see what El Mextli wants.

“Si,” said Jaime, walks toward El Mextli’s officina. Hmmm … he’s standing at the door, and he looks furious. Damn!

“Que pasa!” demands El Mextli, getting out his gun walking into the hallway waiting for some answers.

“I was going to see when you called,” said Jaime, turning to go investigate, el Zorro runs down the stairs, went to El Mextli.

“Mextli, las mujers are not in el cuarto!” he yells turning to look at Jaime. “Where did you hide them?”

“Que!” yells out Mextli, stepping out of the officina, down the hall, running up the stairs to the third floor. He looks at the guards and starts to yell.

“Imbeciles,” he said going into the cuarto to see for himself. Donde estan estas viejas, he thought, going to the window to look outside. They must have escaped from here, but how? He turns around, walks out the cuarto.

“Jaime, wake todos los hombres, look for las viejas! When you find them, bring them to la officina!” yells El Mextli, going to the officina to take a shot of tequila.

This is inconceivable. Mi plan is going down the drain. Estos imbecilies are inept. I’m going to hurt estas viejas after they make the call to their familia. I will not have any mercy. I’m the lord here in Baja California and will also be the lord in California. He is taking another drink of tequila when Jaime enters the officina.

“Mextli, muchos hombres are dead,” said Jaime. “I have todos los hombres searching for las mujers.”

Mextli turns to look at his favorite eye candy, with disappointment shots him in the heart. He is good para nada. El Mextli walks out into his yard, looks at what remains of his army. Damn, mis plans are now on hold. I have to get some more hombres. My new soldiers need to be strong, vicious. Mi right arm hombre needs to be superb, a badass. I need to leave now before I get killed. “Follow me,” he told his hombres, going to get into his expensive black carro.

Damn, I better hurry and get ready to leave, thought his driver. I don’t want El Mextli to get pissed off and kill me. El Mextli is furious and who knows what he will do next. He didn’t become the Baja California drug lord because he is sweet.

The other hombres quickly get into several of the other vehicles following El Mextli into the pueblo. El Mextli escapes his execution.

Several of the remaining men are fighting against the SEALs. The drug soldiers that are left behind don’t stand a chance. The SEALs quickly eliminate what remains of El Mextli soldiers.

Si, I’m going back into the cuarto, open up the door, and exterminate the guards, thought Chris, climbing up the tree, entering el cuarto. The door is open, Chris hears the alarm that went out. Damn, now the drug soldiers have been alerted to our presence. I need to locate El Mextli because I’m going to make him pay for mi familia’s heartache.

Chris is going out the cuarto door when he hears Gabriel say, “I’m behind you.” He is following him quietly. “This is the only cuarto on this floor.”

Chris nods, motions that he is going down the stairs. Gabriel nods, follows Chris slowly down the stairs, listening for any indication that more drug soldiers are there.

The gunshots are coming from outside, and the interior of the villa is menacingly quiet. I wonder if El Mextli is in his cuarto hiding or outside with his hombres, thought Chris, landing on the second floor. He looks down the hall to the right and left. He motions to Gabriel to take the right side, and he stealthy goes down the hall on the left.

There are two doors on the left. Chris edges to the first door, leans against the door to hear if anybody is inside. Hmmm … it sounds real quiet, he thought, opens the door real slowly. Chris enters the cuarto that is dark. He is able to see with the night vision that is integrated to his ski mask. Hmm this cuarto is empty. He quickly exits, going to the other cuarto.

Chris doesn’t hear a thing, opens the cuarto going in quickly. Damn, this cuarto is empty, he thought, exits quickly, sprints down to where Gabriel is.

“Down,” whispers Gabriel into the mic in the ski mask, asks Chris for help.

Damn, Gabriel is in trouble, thought Chris, jogging quickly down the hall to the cuarto on the right side where Gabriel went. On the right side, there is only one huge cuarto where Gabriel is fighting with four hombres.

Two of the hombres have Gabriel by his brazos, the other two are taking turns punching him.

Damn, Chris made it, thought Gabriel, going out from all the pain. Si, Chris will take care of these animals is Gabriel’s last thought, full of relief before going out.

Chris became loco with rage, takes out the two that are hitting Gabriel with a shot at their black hearts. Chris turns to look at the other two, they quickly let go of Gabriel. Gabriel drops to the floor. One hombre manages to shoot Chris in the shoulder right before he gets his cabeza blown up by Chris. Chris has no mercy for these animals.

The other hombre went onto his knees, begs for his vida. “Please, señor, don’t kill me,” he begs Chris. Chris is still enraged, effortlessly snaps his cabeza, shoving him against the wall with all of his strength without any remorse.

  CHAPTER SIXTY-THREE

CHRIS WENT TO GABRIEL, INSPECTS his injuries. Damn, the bastardos broke his ribs, arms, fingers, and no
se. They also stabbed him in the side. Gabriel is bleeding like crazy, thought Chris, scared for his best amigo.

I need to take him out of here before he dies on me. Erica will be devastated. No way can he die. “Gabriel, hold on. Erica is waiting for you,” he told Gabriel in the ear, praying that he will hold on. Chris puts pressure on the stab wound, tearing the sheet off la cama to tear up some strips to wrap up the wound.

I need to hurry, thought Chris, he calls in for help. “Down, back,” requests Chris, pulling Gabriel up onto his shoulders, going to look out the window, “Second floor.”

“On it,” said Officer Ford, going up the stairs. Everybody is outside fighting, and I can’t locate the Mextli, he thought, landing on the second floor, motioning Chris to follow.

Chris follows Officer Ford down the stairway, going fast as lightning. We need to get out of this hellhole, he thought.

Officer Ford shot at two hombres that are entering the front entrance, running out toward the back of the villa. Running out into the yard, both Chris and Officer Ford run toward the beach and the waiting boats.

“Secure?” asks Officer Ford to the SEAL on the boat heading toward the boats.

The SEAL operator on the boat responds, “Affirmative.” The SEAL on the boat is waiting for Officer Ford, Corona, and De La Cruz to board.

Chris and Officer Ford make it to the beach, wades into the ocean, reaching the inflatable boat.

Officer Ford and the SEAL on board assist Chris with Gabriel. The SEAL starts taking off just as Officer Ford and Chris heave over the boat.

“We need to hurry, he’s bleeding from a stab wound,” said Chris, watching Gabriel turning gray.

Officer Ford requests a medical gurney, staff to be ready for Gabriel. As they reach the ship, the wrench with a gurney is hoisted, and Gabriel is put into it quickly. He is taken to the ship’s medical department, examined, treated by the Navy doctors. The doctors connect an IV and start giving him some blood.

Gabriel has lost a lot of blood, and his body could go into shock. The wound is cleaned and stitched up. Gabriel’s both arms are set in casts, and the broken fingers are wrapped up. His nose is set. The ribs are left alone to heal. It is just a couple of ribs that are cracked. The pain medication will take care of the pain. Gabriel is out with the medication. His body needs to rest. The doctors are confident that Gabriel will make it. The most critical stage has passed.

The kidnapping has been a traumatic experience for Bella, Paty, and Jessy. Bella y Paty appears to be recovering from the danger, terror, and pain that they have gone through. Paty and Bella were able to get some relief, some frustrations out when they were attacking the animals.

Si, gracias Dios mio, for helping us escape from the animals that wanted to hurt us. I also want to give gracias for giving me the strength to help mi prima Bella and that we were able to hurt them. Paty looks down at her thigh, I wonder if the bullets caused a lot of damage. I wonder where Bella y Jessy are. I want to call mi corazon.

Si, I feel better knowing that I wasn’t really hurt, thought Bella. The split lip will heal and so will mi cara. She grins with some pain. I sure thrashed the hell out of those awful animals. Damn, Paty and I make a great tag team. I wonder where Paty y Jessy are at. I want to call the nurse. Where is the phone? She thought, looking for it around the cuarto. Hmmm … I’m sleepy.

Jessy on the other hand, she observed the dangerous situation that they were in from the inflatable boat, and was feeling helpless. The experience is shattering her sense of security and making her feel helpless.

Damn, we are so vulnerable in this world. I never felt so helpless and never did I think how very dangerous the world can be, she thought with tears flowing down her cara, trembling with anxiety.

I know that we are now safe on the Navy ship. Gracias a Dios that Chris, Gabriel, y los SEALs rescued us in time. We could have been real hurt, she thought trembling with fear.

I just can’t forget. I’m so overwhelmed, and I feel alone. I know that is not so. I still feel in danger and will not stop feeling like this until I’m in Jose Enrique’s brazos. I know that I really did not get physically harmed, but I can’t stop from thinking about it. I was so frightened and felt so helpless. I know I’m just traumatized from this cruel experience. Taking a deep breath, Jessy attempts to regain her control of her emotions.

Oh Dios mio, muchas gracias for saving mi bebe from any harm, she prays. I want to call Jose Enrique, she thought, looking for a phone.

The Navy doctor that is tending to Chris states, “Corona barely made it. We gave him some blood,” he said, stitching up Chris’s shoulder after extracting the bullet and cleaning it out. “I’m giving you some pain killers.”

Good, thought Chris, because I’m tired and I’m hurt. I need to get back to mi casa and see mi mujer.

“I also stitched up one of the young ladies that were extracted. She is a real beauty,” said the doctor, smiling as he turns to Chris.

“Which one was hurt?” asks Chris ignoring his comment. Yeah, they are beautiful.

“I don’t know,” said the doctor, looking at Chris with curiosity. “Why?”

“Because all three are my family, and I want to know which one got hurt,” said Chris in a low voice, trying to keep control of his emotions. Damn, I need to control mi temper. It’s not his fault that they were kidnapped.

“Was it the tall, slender with black hair and green eyes, or was it the one with brown eyes, or the one with golden eyes?” asks Chris with little patience left. “Forget it. I’ll go check them out.”

“It was the one with the brown eyes,” said the doctor with a grin. “They all sound beautiful.”

“Yes, they are, but they are married,” said Chris with an evil smile. “Two are married to CIA agents.”

The doctor immediately stops talking and starts to clean up.

Chris walks out of the examination cuarto and went to look for his familia. I need to know that they are okay. I need to ask the nurse where they are at, thought Chris, going to the nurse station. “Can you please tell me where the young ladies are?” asks Chris, looking at the nurse.

The nurse looks up with a raised eyebrow. “No one is allowed to see them,” said the nurse, looking down, reviewing his charts.

“I will see them. They are my family,” said Chris with some irritation, looking at the nurse with anger.

“You know we have rules,” said the nurse. “You need to get clearance.”

Chris didn’t bother to respond and turns to look for his SOTO Officer Ford. Chris went to where the team is stationed. The other SEALs are happy that the extraction is complete, and the young ladies are safe and unharmed. Chris walks into the cuarto, the SEALs stop talking, turn to look at Chris.

Chris sees them, stands tall, proud. “I just want to say that my family and I appreciate your hard work tonight,” said Chris with strong emotions in his voice. “Thanks.”

The SEALs, his team are smiling, responding “You’re welcome.” They’re extremely happy that they accomplish the extraction of the beautiful young ladies.

Chris went to his SOTO Officer Ford. “Sir, I need to talk to my sister and cousins,” requests Chris.

“Okay, I’ll get you a pass,” said SOTO Officer Ford, going to the desk to write down the pass for Chris.

“Thanks,” said Chris, taking the pass, walking out to go see his hermana y primas. Chris approach the nurse, gives the nurse the pass without saying a word.

The nurse takes the pass, stands up to take him to see the first one. “The other two are in the next two rooms,” said the nurse, walking away.

“Thanks,” said Chris, opens the door, walks into the cuarto. Great it’s Bella, he thought smiling, going to look at his hermana. Bella is asleep, didn’t realize that Chris is there.

Chris looks at his hermana, explodes with rage. Those bastardos managed to hurt mi hermana after we had taken her out of that cuarto. Damn them all to hell, he thought, clenching his fists.

Chris leans down, gives his hermana a tender beso on her temple. Her cara will heal. Oh Dios mio, gracias that she is alive and well, he thought, pulling up the cover a little higher to keep her warm. I will come back later, turns to go to see Paty y Jessy.

Chris walks into Paty’s cuarto and sees that she is awake.

“Primo,” said Paty with tears in her ojos, “Gracias.”

“Prima, you know it’s nada,” he said, leaning down to give her un beso on her temple, looking into her hermosa cara. Si, todas las primas y hermanas are bellezas. “Prima, are you feeling okay?” asks Chris with concern in his hermosos green ojos, looking her over.

“Si, Chris, I was shot twice in mi right thigh. One bullet was in mi thigh, and the other one went through. The doctor was real nice, cleaned mis wounds, stitched them up,” said Paty with a smile.

“Si, prima,” said Chris, thinking, yeah, the doctor just loved tending to you.

“Chris, I want to talk to Carlos y our padres,” requests Paty. “I don’t know if they know that we are okay.”

“Si, prima, I will make sure that they know. I want you to rest,” said Chris, smiling at his prima. “Bella was asleep when I went to visit her. I want to check in on Jessy. Rest and I will come back in a few hours.”

“Si, primo, I will now that I know that Bella y Jessy are also safe. Primo, I love you,” said Paty with tears in her ojos, giving him a tight hug.

“Si, prima, I love you,” said Chris smiling, flashing his beautiful dimples, “Rest.”

“Okay,” said Paty, settling comfortably into la cama, closing her ojos with a smile on her hermosa cara.

Chris walks out, went to check on Jessy. Hmmm … I bet that Jose Enrique is going crazy. I know how in love he is with Jessy. She is a wonderful mujer, and they didn’t deserve this.

Chris knocks on the door, went in slowly making sure she is decent. Hmm … she is asleep. He walks closer, looks at her. She looks okay. I don’t see any injuries.
