Talisa cringed in repulsion as she lay on her back while Arnez pounded on her insides. All she could do to keep from crying was close her eyes until this act that was supposed to be called sex was over. She yearned for earplugs, because having to listen to the groans and moans Arnez emitted made his fucking that much more unbearable. In her wave of misery she pondered how in the fuck she went from an independent college student to an emotionally broken down punching bag. After the first time Arnez dragged Talisa out of the shower and threatened to end her life, each day had been a downward spiral to pure hell. Arnez acted like he found the secret cure to dominate his woman and exploited it at every given chance in a bid to never surrender his control. With each new day, Talisa promised herself she would escape her doom, but fear had her paralyzed. She wanted to call her parents and beg for help, but each time she'd pick up the phone, shame and embarrassment would force her to hang up. Now she felt alone, helpless and at Arnez's mercy. "Oh shiiiiiiiit, I'm `bout to come!" he grumbled then grunted, releasing himself inside of Talisa. Sticking with consistency, Arnez rested his body firmly on top of her until he felt the last drop of his seed swim far up. "If we didn't make a baby after what I just dropped in you, we going to see a doctor," he said, rolling off her. "Arnez, I don't think that's necessary." "I've been up in you everyday for the last what few months and you ain't got pregnant yet. Something is wrong." "I'm sure nothing is wrong. Sometimes getting pregnant takes time." "Maybe you can't make no babies. If so, we need to find that out." "Why are you so pressed about getting me pregnant? I'm too young to have a baby right now anyway. I need to go back to school and get my degree." "We already had this discussion. I told you I wanted a son and that you would sit out of college this semester and probably next." "Unless you made a deal with the devil, there isn't a hundred percent certainty that I'll have a son. I could very easily have a daughter," Talisa said, knowing damn well if she had her way, she wouldn't be having either. Unbeknownst to Arnez, Talisa had taken precautions to make sure she didn't get knocked up by him. She had been faithfully swallowing a birth control pill daily behind his back. "Don't concern yourself with the sex of the baby. All you need to concentrate on is getting pregnant," Arnez said, rubbing her stomach. "Whatever makes you happy, baby." "Now you talking right. See, if you practice keeping that attitude your life will be so much easier." "I'm working on it." "Don't work on it, do it." "I will, but Arnez, I really need to go home and visit my parents." "Why do you need to see them?" "I have to tell them that I'm not going back to school this semester." "The phone lines are working perfectly." "I don't want to tell them over the phone, I want to see them in person." "That's not an option I'm giving you." "Why?" "Because right now you're still fragile. If you go visit your parents they may influence you to stay in New York. Then I would have to come track you down, which would piss me off and things will get ugly. To avoid that you need to stay here." "Doesn't it bother you that you basically have me living like a prisoner?" "That isn't true. You're free to go and come as you please." "How can you say that with a straight face? Every time I leave this house I have to be escorted by one of your hired goons. That isn't freedom." "It's for your own protection." "The only person I need protection from is you." "You damn right!" Arnez reminded Talisa of that by landing a closed backhand slap. The burning sensation on Talisa's lower cheek let her know a bruise would be decorating her face shortly. "See what you made me do?" Arnez calmly put the blame on Talisa and got out of bed. "Is this ever gonna stop?" "It's up to you. If you act right and follow my rules the world is yours, remember that." Talisa's bottom lip trembled as she wiped away the one tear that trickled down her cheek. If only I could rewind time, she thought before closing her eyes.

When Denise pulled up to Philadelphia's premiere fine dining restaurant at 1523 Walnut Street, Monica and Tonya's mouths dropped. "How in the fuck did you get Le Bec-Fin coins?" Monica smacked as the ladies got out of the car. "From the same person who let me drive his Benz tonight," Denise boasted. The ladies entered the restaurant that had the 19`h century elegance of a Parisian dining salon, and were greeted by a tall, pencil thin hostess. "How may I help you?" "Yes, I made a reservation for three under Denise Sanders." The woman paused for a few moments as she located the name. "Yes, here you are. Would you ladies please follow me." Denise led the pack with her head tilted high up in the air making it known she had just as much right to be in the exclusive establishment as the snooty white-collar crackers patronizing the place. Monica and Tonya didn't feel quite as confident. "Here we are, ladies. Your waiter will be with you shortly." "Thank you," Denise said, giving a fake Hollyweird smile. "You actin' mighty comfortable in here," Tonya commented as her eyes darted around. "This is one of Genesis's favorite restaurants so we're frequent customers." "You've been dating Genesis for maybe a couple of months now, and this dude letting you hold one of his whips, taking you to fancy places like this, and giving you enough money to treat your girls to this joint. What the fuck is going on? I been fucking Deuce for months now and we barely getting past TGI Friday's." "Maybe the fucking isn't the problem, it's the sucking you need to work on," Denise joked with an undertone of seriousness. Monica and Tonya locked eyes, and both were thinking the exact same thing. This bitch gets on my nerves. "I don't think sucking is the problem. I ended up with a guy who doesn't have any interest with the finer things in life. But that's cool because he makes up for it in other ways," Tonya said, trying to defend her man. "That's probably what it is, because my baby damn sure has a penchant for wanting the best. He spoils me without even trying. You see this bag I'm rockin'?" both women glanced at the crocodile clutch on the table. "I was at the Gucci store with Genesis because he was buying some luggage. He didn't feel it was right for him to get something and I leave empty handed, so he got me this expensive ass purse. That's the type of shit my man do for me." "Genesis your man now?" Monica pried. "He might as well be." "That ain't the question. Has dude stepped to you and claimed you as his woman?" Monica wanted the yes or no answer, not the rainbow version. "No, but it's coming. Monica, don't front. I barely be home anymore because I'm laid up at that nigga's crib. Trust me, soon he'll be asking me to move in." "I wouldn't count on that, Denise." "May I get you ladies something to drink?" the waiter asked, interrupting the tongue lashing Denise was ready to put on Tonya. "Yes, get me your most expensive bottle of French Chardonnay." "As you wish. I'll be back shortly to take your order." "I see you tryna show off, ordering some fancy wine like you a fuckin' socialite." "Monica, please. I know you mad `cause Genesis chose me, but get over it. Back to you, Tonya. Why shouldn't I count on having a serious relationship with Genesis?" "It may turn into something serious, but from what Deuce say, all Genesis is focused on is business. He ain't really tryna be tied down to nobody." "Maybe I'm changing that." "You could be, but it's hard to teach an old dog new tricks." "True, especially when you got one with three baby mamas and no bigger ambition but to be hood rich," Denise sniped, taking a jab at Tonya. "I knew there was a reason I couldn't stand your ass." "Oh, besides the fact that the men you want always choose me?" "See, you always been a stuck-up hoochie who thinks the sun rise and sets on your triflin' ass, but it don't. So you know, when God created pussy, he gave every damn woman one, not just yo' ass. So stop actin' like it's all about you, Denise. Now where is the waiter? I need to eat some damn food before I get us all thrown out for whipping yo' ass."
