“Definitely not. Are you? After all, you are an earl. Do you still consider me worthy of being your countess?”
In reply, he demonstrated just how worthy. Pulling her into his arms, he traced a lingering line of kisses down the curve of her neck. Hetty’s body began to dissolve.
“Robert.”
“Hmm.”
“Would you consider teaching me how to fence?”
She heard him groan and mutter something about normality.
“Only it could be quite useful in the future if ever I have to defend myself.”
His lips left the tender spot around her ear and captured hers, making any further conversation completely impossible.
Hetty was not sure whether that was a yes or no, and decided in any case, the matter could wait because she urgently needed to attend to the needs of the Earl of Chedbury.
Her husband.
Her doctor.
