The Destiny of Amalah

Each one of them stepped forward and waved to the crowds and the crowds cheered when they saw them all of the people of the nations cheered loudest when their chosen one stepped forward.

‘Whenever they return they will be ready – we will be ready, and so with the nations rebuilt and the nine chosen, the time has come to celebrate. For now, we can go on and now, we can live in peace and prosper as we were destined to do and so it is with the greatest of pleasure, that I open the celebrations,’ Amara said happily and the people cheered loudly and clapped and jumped in the air.

Once again Amara pressed her palms together and when she opened them, the ball of white light appeared from them and she threw it into the air and the people watched, as it burst and became sprinkles of glitter. As the glitter descended, the guard set off the fireworks that were more splendid than they ever had been before and the people continued to cheer.

Amara and the others looked on and smiled at the people on the ground. They stayed on the balcony for a while and then made their way back to the balcony room. They socialised with each other and then made their way around the palace and into the city, and when the early hours of the morning came: the nine chosen, Garrick, Amara, Michael and Thaddeus sat back in the balcony room and talked over their wine. They were all happy and in good cheer and they talked of the future and good things; they laughed and joked together and it truly was a blessed sight.

As the new day was beginning to dawn, Amara stood up and bid everyone good night, and they all stood up to hug and kiss her and she happily kissed and hugged them back. She left them talking merrily and she was especially glad to see that Garrick was happily taking part and enjoying Callan’s and John’s and Zach’s company.

She made her way to her room singing happily to herself and when she got there, she went to her own balcony. She stood on the balcony and placed her hands on the balcony wall and looked out at the fading night sky that was turning into day. She could see the last light of the stars before daylight eclipsed them and she breathed in the fresh air. She looked around her and thought of Ellora and somewhere inside of her, something told her that her sister was all right and she smiled.

‘I’ll see you soon,’ Amara said. ‘If not in this world, then another.’

Amara thought of the world and what had taken place and she thought of the here and now and how she felt in the moment and she smiled happily. As her thoughts continued, she felt a hand cover hers and she smiled an even wider smile as she turned to face Michael who was stood by her side.

‘I know your touch,’ she said tenderly.

  ‘And I yours.’

‘It’s over now Michael,’ she said happily, as she looked at him. ‘It is truly over and we can go on with our lives.’

‘And that makes me a happy man,’ he replied.

‘Will you stay by my side Michael?’

He drew her in close and kissed her tenderly and then pulled back from her and gazed at her lovingly.

  ‘Always my love, always.’
