He reluctantly let go of her nipple with a teasing of his teeth. “Mmm, delicious.”
Her face flamed. “So, can I go now?”
“Now, why would I—” He lowered his bare chest to hers. “––a perfectly intelligent, healthy male, just let this opportunity pass me by?”
She blinked rapidly at his wicked expression. “You could act like a gentleman.”
“Nope, I’m a not one of those either.” Far from it, in fact.
Alexa released a heavy breath and closed her eyes
“Okay, my turn!” he shouted with boyish excitement.
She physically jumped with a start at his words.
Genaro grinned at her startled expression.
“Who are you?” She stared into his eyes.
“I told you already.”
Bewildered, Alexa shook her head. “You aren’t just some guy like… I mean you….”
“I’ve come a very long way to….” He rose away from her. Now was the time to tell her the truth and see if she would trust him. But he doubted she would. After all, she was pointing that little gun at him just minutes ago.
Alexa looked startled by his sudden mood shift and stared over at him.
He walked into the bathroom and grabbed a towel. If he didn’t intend to fuck her right this minute, even though he wanted to, he’d better at least cover up. He watched her from the open doorway.
She scrambled around for her clothes and bent over as she felt around on the bed for her blouse.
Standing stock-still, he gazed at the provocative position she was in with her nearly bare ass tilted straight up at him. Her bare skin beckoned the beast in him yet again, making him instantly hard. Maybe he should have just kept her on the bed and finished his little game.
Alexa swiftly stood up, pulling her blouse on. Then turned to find her skirt. “Look I’m sorry okay? Obviously, you aren’t a thief and… I-I misjudged you.”
Gen went into the bathroom again to grab his clothes. No, she was almost right. He felt guilt eating at him suddenly. He paused. He never felt guilt before. What an odd emotion. He tugged his jeans on. “Well, you just assumed…” His voice fell away when he came back to an empty room just as the door burst open and flew up against the wall.
Fucking Lorenzo. He knew this before anyone even showed their ugly face.
One of his huge guards had busted the door off the hinges.
Gen looked around for Alexa. Panic rushing through him. Then he spotted the open window. She must have heard them coming. He let out a breath of relief, but worried that he might not catch up with her again.
He turned toward the door, he knew he’d better handle this just right. Dammit.
“What the fuck, Genaro!” Lorenzo came striding in.
Gen rolled his eyes. Well, at least he was dressed for this confrontation.
