  Later that night, beat Ella severely, her eyes swollen, Max stood above her rolling on the kitchen floor gasping and said, “Now let Wiley see you and tell him that I will be waiting for him to come take my hands off”.

  Lay there crying and battered, stands above laughing out, “Oh by the way that was the worst blow job I ever had”, kicked her, rolled over gasping and he walked out the door.

  A few days later, in the drugstore Ella had sunglasses on and few minutes later Sebastian stood before her down the lane of aspirin. Pointing asked, “What’s up Ella with wearing sunglasses is the store sunny?”

  “That’s all you have to say after nearly three years!”

  Leaning forward, slants head, tilts, brushing up her cheek whispers softly in her ear, “No, hello pretty baby, how are you?”

  Pushing the glasses up, replied, “Just peachy!”

  “Yeah me to, life’s been pretty good, women every other night”, and holding the bottle of pain reliever fell from her trembling hand.

  Bent down quickly to grab the bottle and Sebastian knelt down says, “Hey”. Sniffling, “What”.

  “I was joking, think this face could get women?”

  Staring, hand placing against her face says, “Only one woman for me”. The sunglasses fell off and reaching fast to put them back onto her face.

  Low growl, took hold of her hand tight snarling out, “Where did you get the swollen black eyes?”

  Hanging head cries, pulling her into his arms, asking, “Who hurt you like this, I’ll fucking kill um”, Ella clung to Sebastian slightly roaring gave her chills. Now heard, “What the hell, Ella?”

  Saw her in the arms of Sebastian noticing Max standing at the end of the lane, asked, “He did this to you Ella”, no reply felt her shaking, growling out, “Aw he did, huh”. Walking away hears Max yelling and boils with fury jumps up Ella cries out, “No Sebastian”, running after Max.

  A few minutes later, outside, stood on the sidewalk yelling, “SEBASTIAN, DON "T DO THIS!”

  Right when Max went to get into his blazer saw Sebastian close upon him, grinning said, “Sorry I have no candy and trick or treat is over”, and Sebastian turned completely evil. Trying to get in the blazer, Sebastian slammed the door on his arm, and popped it back in the wrong direction snapping his arm.

  Rapidly, slamming Max against the blazer, and screaming, “STOP FREAK, YOU BROKE MY DARN ARM!”

  Hands by her face, and watching Sebastian flipping out, roaring, busting the driver’s side window out with Max face a bloody mess, crumbles down on the ground, and kicking him repeatedly.

  Rushing up pulling at Sebastian raging wild, swinging powerful punches repeatedly straight in Max’s bloody face, and cries out, “Stop, you’ll go back to prison, please just stop, I don’t want to lose you again”.

  Standing above Max lifeless on the ground, knelt down poker-face says, “Touch that woman ever again, I will take your fucking head right off”, stood up grabs hold of Ella walking away.

  Standing by the black king cab truck, staring, asked, “Did you mean what I heard you say Ella”.

  “What did you hear?”

  “Cannot lose me”.

  “You heard right Sebastian”, moves close upon Ella, took the sunglasses off, hearts pounding leans forwards, kissing her bruised face softly, even swollen eyes. Suddenly tasted teardrops, “Aw, don’t cry pretty baby”.

  Arms wrapping around her tightly heard, “I forgive you”.

  Held tighter says, “Thank god”.

  Clung to him, he said, “Want to know a secret Ella”, nodding, and he said, “I will never touch another drop of booze long as I live”.

  Thirty minutes later, stumbling into the apartment kicking the door shut, going up against wall-to- wall, fingers running wildly through hair, Sebastian and Ella kissed uncontrollably, he guides her over to the bed.

  Kneeling on the bed, pulls off his shirt with Ella staring, he pulls off her shirt, quickly unsnaps her bra, pulling her against him snug she says, “No teasing this time”.   Nervous, Ella said, “Sebastian?” Read his rights and crying, “No, oh god, no”, and looking at her says, “No worries pretty baby”.

  “You’re going to go back to prison”.

  “Aw, but this time had an amazing farewell”, walking him down the hallway and stood by the door crying, hanging her head, heard, “Ella”.

  Rose her head and since hands are cuffed, fingers blew her a kiss. Hands against her heart crying.

  At the hospital, furious, Max treated, as two males from his wicked crew stood in the room watching him getting stitches to his cut up face and was actually laughing. One person with short blonde hair said, “You laugh about a Wiley messing you up”, the other man with dark hair remarked, “Aw real nice Max, appears they toughened up!”

  Waved his hand saying, “Never can they overcome us, that scary face proves our power and strength”.

  The two men shaking their heads and Max asked, “What, Mitch, Roger?” The dark haired guy said, “Yeah well looking at your face and arm in a sling
also proves their not really wimps Max”.

  Grins said, “There’s only one way hit um where it hurts the most”, the two men looked at him wondering what the plan was. One evening at the flower shop, stood waiting for her ride when Cody walked in and she said, “Hey there boy”.

  “Ma can we talk?”

  Coming out from behind the counter asked, “What’s wrong Cody a fight with Hillary?” Putting his head down, as his long curls hung over his eyes, said ,”Yes we did over something serious ma”, and Ella just looked at him. The lights went out and Cody asked, “What’s happening, forget to pay the bill ma?” Nervous, Ella said, “I do not know and where is Andre, the security guard?” Lay dead out in the back by the dumpsters with his neck slashed.

  Pointing, Ella said, “Boy you stay here, I am going to go look for Andre”, and eyes large Cody said, “Ma don’t it could be that creep again”, and walking towards the back warehouse replied, “Yes I think so”.

  Going into the back warehouse, even darker shivered, says, “This is not good”. Walked over by the counter, Cody tried to use the phone to call for help and the phone was dead, slammed the receiver down saying, “Uh oh this is bad!”

  Close to the back exit now, Ella all of a sudden heard Cody shout, “YOU!” Hurried towards the front, tripping over a box, as it was dark, hears shouting, got up fast and the lights suddenly went on, Ella saw Cody and Max fighting to kill, screamed out, “NO!”

  The fight was rough and those two were tearing up the whole store, vases fell from them crashing into the shelf, watching Ella stood in tears screaming, “STOP!” ”DON"T HURT MY BOY!”

  Now had enough of this creep and threw a roundhouse kick, Max flew into the counter.

  Jumped down onto Max, swinging lightning fast punches repeatedly, blood squirted, and petrified Ella screamed out loudly, “OH MY GOD!”

  Sneaky and pure evil, Max reached into his back blue jean pocket pulling out a knife and stuck it deeply into Cody.

  Meanwhile, outside in back of the flower shop, stood four slimy slugs waiting on Max and one lit up a cigarette saying, “Man he better hurry!”

  Suddenly, thug kicked to the ground and the other three yelled, “What the heck”. Saw two tall people wearing long dark trench coats with ski masks over their faces, grabs the other three thugs, instantly rung their necks, as they fell to the ground.

  The fourth already lay dead, and those disguised people stood above them when a third comes walking up handing them a shovel.

  Back in the flower shop, blood flowed like a river, as Cody and Ella both lay completely cut up in a pool of blood.

  Stood above them wiping his knife off Max saying, “Hope you Wiley’s get the message now”.

  Suddenly, he flew into the counter and the lights went off, now Max screaming.

  Instantly, the lights went back on and a person wearing a black trench coat with a ski mask stood above Max a bloody mess. Wipes off their bloody knife. The disguised person hurried over to Cody, never moved and the masked person went over bt the phone calling for an ambulance.

  However, threw the phone down and rushing through the store slipped on blood, falling on the floor, jumped back up fast, running out the front door.

  Run next door to the pizza place scaring all the people, wearing the mask, and told a worker, “Call an ambulance, hurry!”

  Running back out fast and runs back into the flower shop.

  Knelt down on the floor by Ella taking her hand saying, “Oh god baby hold on please”. “Don’t you die my girl?”

  Tears rolling down from under the mask hitting onto her blood covered face.

  A few minutes later, Ella and Cody lifeless, put into the ambulance when the masked person left fast and another few minute later, stood on the other side of the street watching flames soar, as the thugs home burned.

  A half hour later at the hospital, packed with hysterical Wiley’s and the cries and screams were heart wrenching.

  Seth flipped out, and Brenda even passed out after she heard the horrible news of her grandson Cody and Ella may not pull through the night.

  It was truly a devastating night and the worst ever for the Wiley family, as a teenager was brutally hurt.

  Meanwhile, Ella lay very still on the hospital bed and Saul stood looking down at her face covered in multiple stab wounds, even her neck deeply cut from ear-to- ear. Hung his head saying, “Aw pull through Ella please!”

  Trembles, first time ever in his life crying out, “I cannot live without you”, “Please stay with me forever Ella”, lay his head gently onto her chest held onto her arms sobbing, “My girl”.

  No movement and crying heavily, looking at her, tears flowing says, “Your masked hero, got there to late this time, could not protect you girl, their buried now”, no one will ever hurt you again, including me, I love you so much, wake up girl”.

  One hour later in Ella’s room, five Wiley men surround the bed Ella lay on and many tears hit the floor looking at her battered and sliced up face.

  Two standing at one side, two the other side and one sitting on the bed crying out, “I cannot lose her”. No reply just silence and placing his hand against her face softly brushing cried out, “You’re my world Ella”.

  Stood up, Saul turned around punched the wall making a big hole, “Those bastards”. Facing the wall asked, “How you doing Seth?”

  Hanging head, tears hitting the floor replied, “Not good and if I lose Ella, I’ll die”. Turned around looking at them by her side, except one.

  Three days later, at the hospital, Ella sat on the bed staring into a hand held mirror with tears pouring, and Saul, Seth with Shane stood teary-eyed watching, as she saw her face of scars that would never go away.

  Reached his hand out close to her saying, “Give me the mirror Ella”. Touching her face of scars, shouted, “NO SAUL!” Hung his head, and crying said, “Take a good look at me, I have deep lines everywhere, even my neck, I look worse than Sebastian”. Crying, threw the mirror down on the floor when Saul bent down picking it up, as she cried out, “Look at my face Saul!”

  Stood up looking at her said, “I see the beautiful woman I fell in love with”. “You’re lying”.

  “Stop Ella your fine”.

  “LIAR”, and upset Saul said, “You know what, I am trying hard here, but if you want to give up then do it”, and stormed out.

  Waving her hand, said, “He was always such a liar”, and teary eyed Seth said, “Aw Ella he was trying”, and crying putting her hands over her face, saying “I know, he’s been real nice to me”.

  Walked back in Saul asked, “We ready to leave, because I pulled the blazer up”, and Ella looking at him, as he did back, she said, “I am sorry Saul”, nodded.

  Both staring at each other, tears rolling down her face of complete scars, cries out, “Oh Saul”. Rushed over by the bed, swept her into his arms, held her tightly, she cried heavily. Two brothers hung their heads and crying out, “I’m so ugly”, held her quietly replied, “Beautiful to me”.

  Clung to him, hand brushing the back of her long red hair says, “You scared me Ella”, pulls back, staring asked, “I did?”

  “Very much this time, thought I lost my girl”.

  Quivers, “Your girl”.

  “Always will be to me”, and Seth walked out, Shane followed.

  Holding tightly, asked, “Saul”.

  “Yeah Ella”.

  Sniffling out, “You still love me, huh”.

  “Aw, I’m not going to answer”.

  “Why not”.

  “You know the answer Ella”.

  “I do”.

  “Yeah”, brushing her bangs back staring.

  “You do Saul”.

  “Forever”, deep gulp says, “Oh my, Saul really?” Winked.

  Let’s loose, slightly pulling back, crossed his heart, tears flowing cries out, “Saul”, grabs her back into his arms. Both crying.

  On the ride home, silence, Saul drove with Ella sitting next to him in th
e passenger seat and Shane with Seth sat quietly in the back.

  Staring out the window asked, “Is it true?” Glanced at her, Saul asked, “Is what true?” “My son Cody will never walk again?”

  Clearing his throat, Seth replied, “Not sure yet, doctors are doing more test, but thank god he lived Ella”. Stares out the window tears rolling.

  Making it back home, The Wiley men made sure that Ella would be okay and went inside with her sniffling, “You all can leave, because I am rather tired”.

  Shane and Seth hugging her, kiss on the cheek walk out and Saul waved saying, “Get some rest”, walked out lighting up a cigarette.

  Walking out onto the porch Shane asked, “Hey think she’ll be okay?” Taking a big inhale, Saul replied, “If you’re that worried stay”.

  Shaking his head, Seth remarked, “Gee are you heartless Saul”.

  Flicking his cigarette over the side porch railing, “Boy are you wrong”, walking down the steps.

  One week pass, Cody making a full recovery, his parents at his side faithfully each day, very glad knowing in a few days their son would be released from the hospital. However, had scars to from the many knife wounds, but not nearly as bad as his mother covered with them.

  The next evening, Ella had took a hot bubble bath to calm down, the children staying night at Brenda’s with other grandkids and rented movies, ordered pizza’s. After a relaxing bath, walked through the house in her blue robe, had tears rolling down her face.

  Stood by the hutch in the dining room looking at Cody’s picture when the doorbell ringing.

  Wipes her eyes and went to the door asking, “Who is it?”

  “It’s me” and opened the door to find Saul standing there holding a bouquet of flowers. “Hey you doing okay”.

  “Far from Saul”. Leaning again the door, asked, “What’s wrong?”

  “Scared”.

  “No need, I’m here”, winks.

  Swiftly, swept her into his arms, the flowers fell on the porch, and held her tight felt trembling, said, “Aw, easy Ella”.

  “Don’t leave Saul”.

  “You asking me to stay the night?”

  “Will you Saul?”

  “Aw no need to ask”, and shutting the door locking it, walked through the house she said, “Love me tonight”.
