I smiled, figuring I had two options.

I could flip her on her back and have her on the couch, or I could bring her over to the bed where she might be more comfortable collapsing after I emptied what I suspected would be a considerable load in her belly.

“What?” she asked, pushing her hair away from her face.

“I’m just trying to decide how I want to enjoy you next.”

She leaned forward and dragged the tip of her nose across mine. “Too bad it’s not up to you.”

I furrowed my brow. “Am I missing something?”

She put her hands on my shoulders and straightened her arms, un-attaching herself from me. “If you’ll recall,” she said, taking my dick in her hand. “I was in the middle of something before you so rudely interrupted me.”

I swallowed as she stroked me, her hand gliding effortlessly through the hot mess she’d made on my cock.

“Not that I’m complaining,” she said, stretching one of her legs back until her foot hit the floor.

I clenched my teeth at her delicate touch, willing her to stroke me harder and faster, silently begging her to put me out of my misery.

“Besides,” she said, sinking to the floor. “You’re always going on about how good I taste.”

My senses were so heightened I felt like I might shatter.

She kept stroking me and rose up on her knees, bringing my dick so close to her lips I could feel her breath.

My eyes grew wide. “You’re going to taste more than you if you start sucking my dick again.”

“Good,” she said, her eyelashes fluttering. “Cause I want you to coat my throat.”

I let out a groan and before it even escaped my lips, hers were around me again, inching down my shaft with renewed vigor.

She kept one hand in front of her tight lips as she sank down me, her other hand curling around my balls so thoroughly it made my breath catch in my throat.

I didn’t know what was more intense, watching her suck me or knowing that she was sucking herself. And the fact that she didn’t even flinch was such a turn on. The fact that she was licking her own come off my shaft with every flick of her tongue was almost more than I could bear.

  Almost.

Cause if I never got through anything in my life again, I wasn’t going to fall apart now, not when the most beautiful woman I’d ever met was sucking her pleasure off my cock like she couldn’t get enough.

“Fuck,” I breathed, letting my head fall back for a second and trying to think of something that wasn’t sexy so the sensation would last.

But it was too much. I couldn’t think of anything but what was happening in front of me.

All I could do was enjoy the sight of Addison on her knees, moments after asking me to coat her throat. And the more I watched her lose herself to pleasuring me, the more intoxicating it became.

And suddenly it was more than a blowjob.

Normally when a girl was fumbling around down there, I enjoyed it about as much as I looked forward to it being over, especially because I knew how good it felt to blow my load in a pretty girl’s mouth.

Fuck me if there was anything better than that.

But I was in no hurry this time.

I wanted it to last. In fact, the thought crossed my mind that I wanted this woman to suck my dick forever.

Or that I only wanted her to suck it… or that I wanted it to be hers to suck.

  Or something like that.

I don’t know. It was confusing. Like I said, I couldn’t think straight.

But there was something different about this blowjob.

  And then it hit me.

I actually gave a fuck about whether or not she was enjoying herself.

I clenched my jaw and inhaled, my stomach tight as she bobbed her head up and down my swollen cock.

  And then she moaned.

And the vibration from her lips traveled through me like she’d touched a goddamn tuning fork to my balls.

“Oh shit,” I said through gritted teeth, knowing I was close, knowing it couldn’t last forever. Not now. Not now that I knew she was getting off on making me feel so good. “I’m gonna come,” I said, trying to warn her.

And when she moaned again, my hips thrust forward, clogging the back of her throat with my dick.

I knew I made a sound because my mouth was open and my balls were half empty, but when I looked down, she was still sucking me, swallowing mouthful after mouthful of the hot cum I was shooting at the back of her throat, just like she’d asked.

And for a second I was afraid I would never stop coming, that I would pump her full of my desire for her until it spilled out of her mouth.

But she drank it all down.

  Every last drop.

I wanted to tell her it was okay, that she could stop sucking me, that there was nothing left.

  But I couldn’t move, couldn’t speak.

It was like every last drop of energy I had was gone, sucked down as eagerly as if it were champagne.

And I was as hot as I was lightheaded, as tired as I was fucking head over heels.

When it came time for her to release me, she took her time, sucking her way to the tip so hard it made a little kiss sound when she finally backed off.

Then she looked up at me with flushed cheeks and pursed lips, looking almost shy for a moment, like she had no idea what just happened. Like it was some other woman that had come in there and given me the best goddamn blow job of my entire life.

I shook my head, in awe of her beauty… and other talents of hers I suppose I underestimated up to that point.

“How was that?” she said finally, clasping her hands in front of her so her breasts squeezed together.

  “That was a big mistake.”

She furrowed her brow. “A mistake?”

“Yeah,” I said, leaning forward and pulling her into my lap.

“Why?” she asked, her face dropping.

“Cause,” I said, pushing her hair back. “You’ll never get rid of me now.”

She smiled. “That’s okay,” she said, laying her hands on my chest and looking at me through half closed eyes. “I think I’m actually starting to like you.”

  Chapter 16: Addison

  He smiled. “Is that so?”

I nodded and dragged my finger in a little swirl over his chest. When I lifted my eyes, he was looking at me in a way no one had ever looked at me before, his eyes crinkling at the corners.

And I liked it. I liked how feminine I felt around him, how carefree, how young.

Not that I wasn’t young, but I wasn’t used to feeling that way, and I didn’t know if it was his lack of maturity or the fact that he brought out a spunkier side of me, but I didn’t really care.

I liked it- both the feeling and the look in his eyes.

I mean, seriously. Now that was an encounter I wish we had on tape.

I let my eyes bounce back and forth between his, searching for something I could understand, something I could hold onto. But he looked as stupidly smitten as I did.

Still, as I sat naked in his lap, flushed from head to toe, there was no denying our connection.

And I couldn’t help but think this is it. Enjoy it. This is the kind of chemistry that people search their whole lives for, this is the elusive, indescribable bliss people write all those silly songs about.

And I was glad I realized it, glad the moment hadn’t passed without my appreciating it. Because I was certain I would never like someone that much ever again.

I pursed my lips. “That was…”

  He raised his eyebrows.

  “Memorable.”

He laughed and leaned forward, supporting my lower back so I wouldn’t fall as he stood up.

“Where are we going?” I asked, squeezing my thighs around him.

“I’m putting you under the covers,” he said. “I don’t want that hot body of yours getting cold.”

“Cold?” I asked. What was that? I was so far from cold th
e word seemed strange in my mouth, like a blurry memory that wouldn’t quite come into view.

He laid me on the bed, and I sank several inches into the thick bedspread.

“Wow,” I said, struggling to sit up. “This is the cushiest bed ever.”

He threw a few large pillows on the floor and turned down the top corner of the bedding. “In you go.”

“But it’s early,” I said, crawling to where he was holding the sheets open. “And I’m so awake!”

He brought the covers over me.

I smiled and tucked them under my armpits, realizing I was more drained than I let on.

He turned and walked back over to the champagne.

I watched his ass move the whole way, the dents in his toned cheeks changing shape as he walked while the end of his dick hung between his thighs. Fuck me he was hot.

“Thirsty?” he asked, filling the champagne glass I’d drained before sticking the bottle back in the ice. He turned around with two glasses in his hand. “Or are you full?” he asked, a devilish glint in his eye.

“I always have room for champagne,” I said, sitting up against the pillows and trying to keep my eyes above his waist, afraid I might get PTSD if I caught an eyeful of his dick and recalled how I’d lost the run of myself just moments ago.

He handed me a glass and raised his own.

  “What are we toasting?”

“To you, obviously,” he said, clinking his glass against mine.

  “To me? Why?”

“I’m really too thirsty to list all the reasons now,” he said. “But if you’ll give me two seconds, I’ll give you a good one.”

“Fair enough,” I said, watching him as I lifted the glass to my lips. The champagne was cool and sweet, and it was refreshing to feel the bubbles popping against my tongue.

Wyatt’s Adam’s apple bobbed as he drained half his glass in an effort to rehydrate. Then he set his glass down and returned to the table.

I stared at his ass again, aroused all over by his muscular build and the thought of his thrusting hips.

He picked up the plate with the little silver dome on it with one hand and the champagne bucket with the other.

“That’s a good look for you,” I said as he made his way back to the bed.

He smiled and shook his hair back- the same hair I had royally messed up when I was riding him. “Room for one more?” he asked as he set the bucket and plate down on the nightstand.

I looked across the bed. “Yeah,” I said. “And six of your closest friends.”

“Careful what you wish for,” he said. “If I thought for one second you’d be into that-”

“I’m not,” I said, moving over to the middle of the bed.

He lifted the sheets up and slid under them beside me, his body like a warm magnet. “I figured,” he said, leaning back against the pillows. “But I’m actually happy with that.”

“Yeah?” I asked, raising my eyebrows and turning onto my side.

“Yeah. To be honest, the thought of sharing you doesn’t appeal to me at all.”

I smiled. It felt good to feel wanted by someone so sexy, so capable, so charming. No wonder people were fools for love.

He grabbed the plate and removed the little silver dome. “Chocolate covered strawberry?”

The plate was like a work of art. Each strawberry was drizzled so differently I could only assume that each one would taste different.

“How did you know what was under there?” I asked, taking one.

“Cause I peeked when we came in,” he said, grabbing one for himself.

  “You’re a white chocolate guy?”

“I didn’t know I had to choose,” he said, popping the whole thing in his mouth.

I craned my neck forward. “You eat the leaves?!”

  He shrugged and chewed.

I watched as he swallowed the whole darn thing.

“Why not?” he said. “They’re edible, aren’t they?”

“I don’t know,” I said, furrowing my brow. “I guess they probably are, but I didn’t think anyone actually ate them.”

“What am I supposed to do?” he asked. “Pinch the strawberry between my fingers and eat it like a girl?”

  I rolled my eyes.

“Next thing you know I’ll be eating baby carrots and hummus.”

  I smiled.

“And those horrible things you tried to feed me that day in Pine Island.”

  “What horrible things?”

“That stuff that looks like packing peanuts.”

  “Rice cakes?”

He let his head fall back. “Yeah, those. Christ. Talk about a misleading name for something. Those things give a bad name to rice and cakes everywhere.”

I smiled and bit the dark chocolate strawberry I was holding like a normal person, putting the top at the edge of the plate between us.

Before I even swallowed, Wyatt snatched my strawberry top and threw it in his mouth.

“Now you’re just trying to be crazy.”

“Are you kidding?” he asked, nodding towards the pyramid of berries. “That’s the second best thing I’ve tasted all day.”

  I licked my lips.

“And I’m not talking about my steak.”

  I shook my head.

He reached for his champagne and took another sip.

“So what was it you were going to say before?” I asked, reaching for his glass. “About why we toasted to me?” I took a sip and handed it back to him.

“Oh right,” he said, setting the glass on the side table. “Thanks for reminding me.”

  I raised my eyebrows.

“You know how I said we’re celebrating-”

“Yeah, yeah- every inch of each other- how could I forget?”

“Actually, there’s more to it than that.”

  “Oh?”

“You know how Sophie mentioned that I sold a song?”

  “Yeah?”

He shook his head. “I thought I was going to kill her for mentioning that cause it was supposed to be a surprise-”

I narrowed my eyes at him. “It was.”

“I know, but I wanted to tell you myself.”

  “Okay…”

“Because it’s not just good news for me,” he said. “It’s good news for you, too.”

  “I don’t understand,” I said. “I mean, obviously I’m thrilled for you-”

  “Us. Thrilled for us.”

  “What am I missing?”

He pursed his lips and took a deep breath through his nose.

I raised the sheet in front of my chest. “What’s going on?”

“I know I should’ve asked your permission first, but when I heard what you played-”

“What are you talking about? You’re not making any sense.”

He rolled onto his side, the sheets falling down to his waist, exposing his crinkled abs. “Don’t worry. It’s good news.”

“What is? What are you trying to say? Spit it out already!”

“Remember when I showed you my studio?” he asked. “You know how we were recording?”

  I felt my chest collapse.

“Relax,” he said, “I know what you’re thinking.”

“No you don’t,” I said. “And you better tell me right now what the hell you did.”

  Chapter 17: Wyatt

I knew it was wrong to be amused, but her face was so cute and pouty I couldn’t help it.

“Wyatt.” She craned her neck forward. “You’re really freaking me out now.”

  I pursed my lips.

“You said you wouldn’t listen to it! You said no one would ever hear it!”

“Well, I lied,” I said. “And if things go the way I’m hoping, everyone on the planet is going to hear it.”

She shook her head, and the blood drained from her face.

I reached forward and put my hand on hers. “Relax, okay? It’s not what you think.”

“Relax?!” she said. “You want me to relax when you-”<
br />
I laid a finger across her lips. “Give me a chance to explain.”

She grabbed my raised wrist with her hand and pulled it from her face. “This better be good.”

  “Oh it is. I promise.”

She crossed her arms in front of her. “I’m listening.”

“Okay, let me start by saying that I’m sorry for messing with you-”

“I will decide if I forgive you after I’ve heard what you have to say.”

“Fair enough,” I said. “So when I was listening to the recording-”

  She smacked my chest. “Terrible.”

I lifted a hand in defense. “Sorry, when I was listening to the recording of you playing the piano-”

  She raised her eyebrows.

“There was a particular melody you played- right at the end of the chorus- that got my attention.”

“I know the one you’re talking about,” she said. “That’s always the part I remember first before the rest of the song comes back to me.”

“I’m not surprised,” I said. “It’s an earworm. After I listened to it, I couldn’t forget about it.”

  “I’m listening.”

“So I played around with it a little-”

  “What do you mean?”

“Well I figured out what the notes were-”

  “You did?”

I nodded. “Yeah, and then I played it on my keyboard with different effects-”

  She furrowed her brow.

  “For a few hours.”

  “That’s crazy.”

“No,” I said. “The crazy part is coming.”

  “If you say so.”

“Now, I don’t know if you remember me telling you I recently sent my agent a demo-”

  “The one for the movie?”

  “Yeah.”

  “I remember.”

“What you don’t know is that I’ve been submitting songs for soundtracks for about two years and haven’t had a break yet.”

  “That sounds frustrating.”

I rolled my eyes. “Believe me, it is.”

“I still don’t see what this has to do with me.”

“It has everything to do with you,” I said. “For two reasons. First of all, I knew the song I submitted was the best thing I’d written in years.”

  “Alright.”

“And I wrote it after the first night I met you.”
