"Only I don't have feelings like this for any of my friends," Colin stammered.
"You know, before I met you, I never used to think about the future. But now I find myself wondering where time will take us," Julie said.
"I don't know," Colin admitted. "But I can't wait to find out."
Chapter Seventeen
Julie
Three Months Later
"Oh God, don't stop," Julie moaned.
"There's no chance of that happening anytime soon," Colin said. "I could keep going all night."
"Well, I'm not going to stop you," Julie replied.
Colin and Julie couldn't keep their hands nor lips off of each other. They couldn't resist temptation around one another, nor did they have reason to. Instead they let their desires come out to play.
Julie loved feeling Colin inside her. She loved his touch. His taste. The way he made wild with passion. Colin always took care of Julie first. He always made sure she was satisfied. And he didn't stop until her fantasies were fulfilled.
Colin meanwhile liked going in from behind. Giving it to Julie hard and fast. Making her moan uncontrollably. Making her beg for more.
Even more than that though, Colin was happy that it was all really happening. That it wasn't just some dream that he'd wake up from. It was even better than a dream though, because Julie was right in front of him, in the flesh, looking as sexy as ever.
"How much longer are you going to make me wait?" Julie asked.
"Not much longer," Colin insisted.
"I can't take it anymore. I need it now. I need it all," Julie moaned.
"It's all yours then," Colin said, looking like he was ready to explode.
Colin and Julie's lives couldn't have gotten any better at that moment. All they felt was bliss. And they never wanted that moment to end.
Chapter Eighteen
Julie
"Damn, you look like you're walking on air," Melissa said.
Julie's newfound happiness didn't go unnoticed back home. Of course with the way Julie was feelings, the smile on her face was hard to ignore. Even so, Julie's sister Melissa couldn't help but notice that Julie was even more perky than usual that day.
"Close to it," Julie replied.
Melissa smiled. "You know, I'm not sure that I've ever seen you this happy before. But I could get used to this."
"It's amazing what a difference a few months can make," Julie said.
"It's also amazing what a difference mind blowing sex can make too," Melissa added.
"True. But this is about so much more than sex," Julie revealed.
"It sounds like someone is in love," Melissa said.
"Well, I didn't want you to have all the fun," Julie replied.
"Yeah, there's nothing quite like being in love," Melissa said, thinking about her own boyfriend.
"Isn't it amazing to think that just six months ago we were both in dire straits?" Julie asked.
"Don't remind me. I don't want to ever feel like that again," Melissa said.
"With the way things are going, I don't think either of us have to worry about that," Julie replied.

"I need a breather," Colin said.
It was a brutal training session. Getting ready for a fight was a hard enough task. But learning a whole new fighting style while preparing to take on the champ was absolutely grueling. Colin didn't have much choice though. The odds were stacked against him. Not a single moment went by that Colin didn't think about how difficult the road to victory would be. Still, Colin was determined to do whatever he needed to do to give himself the best edge he could--including learning to wrestle. But that didn't mean Colin wasn't without his doubts.
Jimmy meanwhile had other things on his mind. "Again? Colin, we have a lot of work to do. We don't have the luxury of taking unscheduled breaks."
"Just give me a minute, alright?" Colin said, still trying to catch his breath.
"Not alright. What the hell is going on with you? That woman you've been dating isn't distracting you, is she?" Jimmy asked.
Colin couldn't believe Jimmy had gone there. But he did.
"Don't start with my Jimmy. You're really starting to piss me off," Colin said.
"It's not me you should be pissed off at," Jimmy insisted. "You need to be pushed. Do you think Roderick's going to take it easy on you? Because he's just looking to pulverize you."
"Just leave my girlfriend out of this," Colin insisted.
"I didn't bring her into this. If it was up to me, you wouldn't be messing around with some piece of ass before the biggest fight of your life," Jimmy said.
"She's not some piece of ass. She's the best thing that's ever happened to me. And she isn't a distraction. If anything, she's helping me stay focused," Colin explained.
"Oh, is that right?" Jimmy asked, in disbelief.
"The Trent Cutler fight, the one I got my ass kicked in, that one I fought while I was single. And I was more distracted than I've ever been in my whole life," Colin admitted. "It's different this time. I'm focused now."
Jimmy stared Colin down.
"Alright kid. I hope you're right," Jimmy said. "Otherwise it's your funeral."

"You know, it's amazing to finally be with someone that understands me," Julie said.
Even though Julie and Colin had been together for months, Julie still felt the same excitement every time she saw Colin as when they first hooked up. Every moment together was a happy one. And Julie didn't ever want that to change.
"To be fair, most men find women to be a complete mystery," Colin admitted.
"And yet you figured me out," Julie said.
"Trust me, that was completely by accident," Colin replied.
"I don't think you give yourself enough credit," Julie said.
"Trust me, you're the only woman I've come close to figuring out. And there's still some mystery to you," Colin explained.
"There are some things that men just shouldn't know," Julie insisted.
"See, that's what I'm talking about," Colin replied. "But yeah, it is amazing to think the honeymoon period is far but over for us."
"Let's keep it that way," Julie said.
"You say that like we have a choice," Colin replied.
"Yeah we do. Just keep doing what you're doing and everything will be fine," Julie said.
"You promise?" Colin asked.
"Are you kidding? Right now, being next to you is exactly where I want to be," Julie said.
***
"I can't believe you can eat this everyday," Julie said.
Julie had watched Colin eat the same ultra healthy training food week after week. But finally Julie found herself curious about what Colin's food really tasted like. All it took was one bite of Colin's meal for her curiosity to complete go away.
"I warned you," Colin replied.
"Damn. That tastes way too healthy," Julie joked.
"Well, I am training for a fight. What did you, expect it to taste like pie?" Colin joked back.
"No wonder you're desperate to retire from fighting," Julie said.
"Julie, this isn't my last fight because I want to have pie. It's because I'm tired of getting my ass kicked," Colin said.
"I know that. But tell me you're not going to have some pie, or cake, or ice cream when you don't have to train anymore?" Julie replied.
"Well yeah, I'm going to do a lot of different things when my fighting days are over," Colin said.
"Like what?" Julie asked.
"Hey, you're not the only one that can be mysterious," Colin teased.
"Oh come on. You can't leave me hanging like that," Julie said.
"Well, I could go bankrupt like so many former athletes do," Colin replied.
"Nah. I don't think that would look good on you," Julie said.
"I could get my own Colin Robinson Grill--or waffle maker--maybe a panini maker even," Colin joked.
"Very funny," Julie said.
"Then again I could just
go the reality show route and go on Brain Surgery With The Stars," Colin continued.
"I'm not sure how bright of an idea that is," Julie said. "Now can you be serious for a minute?"
"Alright. Here's the thing. I've been so focused on this fight that I don't know what I'm going to do after it," Colin replied.
"Fair enough," Julie said.
"But there's one thing I do know," Colin replied.
"What's that?" Julie asked.
"Whatever I decide to do, I want to do it with you," Colin replied.
Julie then gazed into Colin's eyes.
"I like that plan," Julie said.
***
"Do you believe that things happen for a reason?" Julie asked.
"Are you talking about fate?" Colin replied.
"Fate--destiny, whatever you want to call it," Julie said.
"No. I stopped believing in fate after I lost my parents," Colin revealed.
"I still can't believe all you've been through. All you've overcome," Julie said.
"Come to think of it though, I probably never would have gotten into fighting if I didn't have all that rage to burn off from losing my parents," Colin replied.
"And if you weren't a fighter, we might not have even met," Julie said.
"Or maybe we still would have met in that ice cream shop, only I would have been able to have a cone myself," Colin replied.
"Yeah. But you might not have been a bad boy then. And I have a way of falling hard for those bad boys," Julie said.
Colin laughed. "I don't know why you're with me then. My bad boy days are long over."
"Maybe that's the point. I mean, women never end up with bad boys," Julie said.
"They don't?" Colin asked.
"Well, not in the end. They always fall for a bad boy for a good thrill. But in the end, women eventually want to settle down with a guy that has a good heart. So maybe the timing was just right after all," Julie said.
"You're really harping on this fate thing, aren't you?" Colin asked.
"Alright, so if you don't believe in fate, then what do you believe in?" Julie wondered.
"I believe we should take each day as it comes. That we should do the best we can. And that eventually everything will work out that's supposed to," Colin said.
"Well, I can't argue with that logic," Julie replied.
"Let's not argue at all. Kissing you is a lot more fun," Colin said.
Colin then gave Julie a kiss.
Julie smiled. "You make some good points."
"Why don't I make a few more?" Colin suggested. Then he kissed Julie again.
Chapter Nineteen
Colin
Things were going so well for Julie and Colin. Julie found herself falling for him, really giving her heart to him, and having her feelings reciprocated for once. They started seeing each other nearly every day, looking forward to nothing more in life than being together. Love snuck up on her, despite her past with MMA fighters. Still, Colin was clearly different than any guy Julie had ever met.
It was just the relationship that Julie had been waiting for. The one she was worried would never come. But now that it had arrived, Julie was determined not to let it pass her by.
As the fight day arrived though, Julie saw a different side of Colin all of a sudden. A side she'd never seen. He was usually so cool, so calm, so collected. But that morning Colin was a complete wreck. He needed a pep talk.
Then again, Colin's nerves weren't unfounded. Colin was about to go against an MMA champion. A complete beast. The knockout king. It would be natural for anyone to be nervous. Still, Colin needed to focus. He couldn't have his confidence shaken. He needed to believe in himself again. Julie just hoped she could do the trick.
"You're going to do just fine," Julie said.
"I'm glad one of us thinks so," Colin replied.
"Hey, if there's one thing I've learned over the years, it's that in a fight--anything can happen," Julie said.
"Look I know you're trying to give me a pep talk, but this is the biggest fight of my life. The fight I've been waiting for. It's my chance to go out on top," Colin explained.
"Colin, you've been training six months for this. You can do it. I know you can," Julie said.
Colin was happy for the vote of confidence, but he was as nervous as could be. He'd never been in a spotlight this bright. As Julie looked into Colin's eyes, she could tell that no pep talk would be enough. So she went to Plan B.
Julie leaned in and gave Colin a deep kiss. The kind of kiss that could only lead to one thing--some action between the sheets. And while Colin was usually down for some red hot love making, he found the timing to be off.
"God that feels good," Colin said, pulling back from the kiss.
"Then why did you stop kissing me?" Julie asked.
"Because I have a fight in a couple of hours. I mean, I don't think it's the best time to get all hot and steamy," Colin said.
"Actually, I think it's the perfect time," Julie replied.
"Julie, you know I love you, but I have a lot of things going on in my head right now," Colin said.
"Yeah. Too many," Julie said, giving Colin another kiss. "Trust me. I know what I'm doing."
Colin then looked at Julie smiling wide at him.
Julie then pushed Colin down on the bed and climbed on top of him. She was determined to take Colin's mind off of the fight. She was determined to clear his head. And she knew no better way to do that than to give him the ride of his life. Julie didn't have a lot of time to work with though. Instead she needed to work fast. But there was nothing wrong with a quickie every once in a while.
It didn't take long for Colin's anxiety to melt away. As Julie rode him, she could see Colin's mood changing. The upcoming fight was nowhere near his mind all of a sudden. Instead he was focused on the pleasure Julie was giving him.
Colin came fast, but his orgasm was no less satisfying. It was just what Colin needed. And as Colin laid beside Julie in bed basking, his mood had completely shifted.
"Are you still nervous about the fight?" Julie asked.
"Are you kidding? After that, I feel like I can do anything," Colin admitted.
Julie smiled.

"Alright kid. You know I'm not one for big speeches, so I'm just going to wish you luck," Jimmy said.
"Thanks Jimmy," Colin replied.
"And I just want you to know that no matter what happens out there, I'm proud of you," Jimmy said.
"That means a lot to me," Colin admitted. "You know, I couldn't have done any of this without you."
"Let's not get all sentimental. You've got the fight of your life on your hands. You have to focus," Jimmy insisted.
Jimmy may have had a craggily exterior, but deep down Colin knew that he liked the acknowledgement. Jimmy had always been a father figure to Colin. And it was true--Colin would have a completely different career were it not for Jimmy. But Jimmy was right. Colin had to focus. He had a monumental task at hand. And things didn't look promising.
As the fight grew more near, it was tense in the locker room. But unlike with the Trent Cutler fight, Colin was completely focused. He wasn't about to let himself get distracted. Not when he knew what was on the line. Not when he was so close to a title. Colin had waited too long for this moment to come to let it slip away. He was going to do everything in his power to come out on top. To end his fighting career with a victory. To go out a champion. The rest was up to fate.
***
There was a lot fanfare associated with an MMA fight. A lot of hype that could distract a fighter. It was up to Colin to block that all out. The minute Colin came out of the tunnel, he was assaulted by the bombastic roar of the crowd. It was so loud in the arena that Colin almost couldn't hear himself think. While Roderick jumped around hooting and hollering on his way to the change, Colin just kept his head looking forward. He didn't notice the cheers nor the jeers from various crowd members. He didn't notice the scantily clad ring girls. He didn't
get fazed by the music blaring. He just made his way into the cage and got ready for the moment he'd been waiting for his whole life.
As the announced introduced the fighters to the crowd, Colin went over the game plan in his head. He didn't let his focus down for one second. He knew that he only had one shot at beating Roderick. Just one slim chance. And he had to be ready.
Roderick meanwhile seemed as confident as ever. And why wouldn't he be? The man was undefeated. He saw Colin as nothing more than a patsy--a fly that needed swatting.
Roderick was in peak form. It looked like he had zero percent body fat. Like he was all muscle. As if he was made of twisted steel. He had an imposing presence. Even when Colin was five years younger, he never looked like that.
It was right then that a moment of doubt started to creep into Colin's mind. What had he gotten himself into? But it was too late to turn back. Colin had trained too hard, he'd gone through too much to throw in the towel not to give it his all. But that didn't mean his all was good enough to beat Roderick.
Colin could see why Roderick was known as the knockout king. Colin knew that he only had the slightest window to even keep the fight competitive. And when or even if Colin got his opening, he had to pounce on it. There could be no hesitation. The execution would have to be flawless.
While the referee explained the rules of the fight to Colin and Roderick, they stared each other down. It was the calm right before the storm. Colin knew that holy hell would be unleashed in a minute. Roderick had a take no prisoners look in his eyes. He looked like a rabid pit bull. Then the bell went off to start the fight and Colin realized that no matter what happened, his life would never be the same.
Most fighters started a fight circling each other. They wanted to get a feel for things before launching an all out blitz. They'd throw a couple of jabs here or there, looking for a seam to exploit. Then, if the initial jabs or roundhouses landed, they'd pounce.
Roderick wasn't like that. There was no feeling out. There was no easing into anything. There was just an onslaught. Roderick came out swinging. He had the quickest fists Colin had ever seen. Before Colin knew it, he was backing his way into the cage trying to dodge Roderick's punches. But Colin could only dodge so many. Finally Roderick landed a shot to Colin's chest.
