She wanted to watch him this time so she could see exactly what she could do to him. “I want you to come this way.”

  “You’re going with me then.”

He pulled her closer and ran a hand over her ass, finding her core and letting himself inside. She gasped as he took the breath out of her. They pressed against each other, their bodies moving together in their own unique rhythm.

He covered his mouth over hers, so much sensation moving between them that she didn’t know which way was up and which was down, but what she did know was that she’d never experienced any moment more erotic in her life.

His body quaked with release, which excited her more than anything. She let go of him and allowed herself to focus on her own release, his fingers working magic inside of her that made her come apart in his arms. She wrapped her arms around him, their naked bodies melding underneath the water pouring down over them as emotions consumed her that she never knew existed.

He held her tightly as he trailed sweet kisses along the back of her neck until he rested his head in the crook of her neck, and they held each other there, naked to one another, without a single word.

He finally pulled back from her and quirked an eyebrow up. “How do you know what I like?”

  “Call it a good guess.”

He smiled and poured more body wash into his palm. “Is it okay if I touch you again right now?”

She surrendered, both hands in the air. “I’m all yours.”

He lathered up again and washed her belly where he had left his mark on her, then moved one hand over her ass, and the other through her front, and then down over the top of her, rubbing gently. She let her head drop back as she exhausted a deep breath.

  “You like that?” he asked.

She grinned. He knelt down on his knees and rubbed the body wash up and down her legs. She wondered how she was ever going to go back to showering alone after this.

He stood up, and they switched places again. She knelt before him rubbing the wash all up and down his strong legs. She giggled a little as she couldn’t seem to stay clear of his massive manhood hanging down. Even with his erection gone, he was still enormous.

He gave his own chuckle. “Don’t laugh at me.”

She laughed again. “I’m sorry. It’s just so big.”

“You weren’t laughing about it night before last.”

She stood up and met him face to face. “I’m laughing because I’m just really happy.” She realized how content she sounded and shoved her guard up. “I mean, how many girls get a chance with a guy who could be a porn star?”

“If you come home with me tonight, darlin’, we’ll live out every porn fantasy in the book.”

“Will you dress up like a pizza delivery guy?”

“Would the fantasy be me or the pizza?”

She giggled. “How about a plumber who’s come to clean out my pipes?”

“I’m up for anything you want anytime you want it.”

She widened her eyes as a thought popped into her head. “Pool guy! That’s a porn thing, right? You’ve come to clean my pool.”

He smiled, and her heart surged with heat. She kissed him before she slipped up and said something she would regret. She turned off the water. “Hold that thought until later tonight.”

He moved his hands over her ass. “I don’t know if I can wait that long.”

She grabbed the towel and dried him off with it, wrapping it around his penis and giving it a good squeeze through the towel with a laugh.

“I’ll be sure and come by more often,” he said, and then the smile dropped a little from his face as a weight pushed against her heart.

He put his clothes on while she dressed in her closet, the sound of Felicity and Sebastian coming in downstairs in the background. She shook out her hair, and then walked over to where Bo was waiting for her on the edge of the bed and straddled him.

“Thanks for coming by,” she said.

“Thanks for the shower. By far the most fun I’ve had in a bathroom.”

  She grinned. “Me, too.”

He looked deep into her eyes, making her typically organized emotions a complete mess. “Will you come home with me now?”

  She nodded. “I’d love to.”

He patted her on the ass. “Pack an overnight bag. I want you for the rest of the day.”

Sweeter words had never been spoken. “Okay.”

He brought her in for a kiss, and then pulled away. “Damn, it’s good to see you again.”

“You just saw me yesterday,” she said, her voice quiet.

“I want to see you as much as I can before you go.”

She nodded, her heart reaching a level of vulnerability that scared her to death. This wasn’t control. That had flown away with the seagulls the second she saw him at the tennis court. This was something primal that she didn’t understand and wasn’t sure she could even comprehend fully. But she was sure of one thing—there was no ripping herself away from him, not a second before Saturday morning.

  Chapter Sixteen

If Bo had his way, he’d take Maya home to his bed, and they wouldn’t leave the room again until Saturday morning. But there was time for that, the little bit that was left.

He put on his turn signal. “Do you like gardens?”

  “Like botanical gardens?”

“Yeah.” He pulled into the parking lot. “This is a place that belongs to a client of mine. It’s a venue for parties, weddings, that sort of thing. It’s usually empty during the week when there’s not an event.”

“Sure,” she said, giving him a curious look.

He took her hand and led her to the front door. He punched numbers into a keypad and watched the expression on her face when he opened the door.

“Oh, my gosh,” she said, scanning the room filled with every flower Bo could and couldn’t name. “This is like the Opryland Hotel or something. Have you ever been there?” she asked.

“No, but Shayla says it’s something to see.”

She walked over to the waterfall on the back wall. “So you take care of all the water in here?”

“Yeah. I’m selfish. I do this job myself.”

She followed the running stream walking in the direction of the current. “You said people get married here?”

“So I’ve heard. I’ve never been to a wedding here, but I imagine they’re pretty nice.”

She held out her arms. “You wouldn’t need any flowers.” She twirled around and let out an uncharacteristic giggle. “How do we have this whole place to ourselves right now?” He hoped she would like it, but he was pleasantly surprised she was this into it. She pointed at the pool. “Can you swim in there?”

“It’s safe enough for it. Come on. You haven’t seen the tropical room yet.”

She grabbed her purse off the wrought-iron bench as he led her to the separate room behind the waterfall with elephant ears and palm trees galore. She glanced around, shaking her head. “This is amazing. I want to live in this room.”

“I take my time when I’m here, trust me.”

She slid up to him. “This place is doing odd things to me.”

  “Like what?”

She grinned and then got an excited look on her face. “Hang on.” She opened her purse and pulled out a small bag. “I got these for you.”

He peaked inside the bag. “Aww, damn. I love chocolates.”

“Those are no ordinary chocolates. They’re mint chocolate truffles.”

“Even better. How’d you know I like these?” He popped one in his mouth and held out the bag to her.

“It was kind of a selfish gift. The first night you kissed me, you’d just eaten that chocolate mint and you tasted that way.”

He gave her a closed-mouth smile, still chewing. “You like that,” he said through a mouthful of mint.

She kissed his lips. “I’m ruined now for chocolate mint.” She waited for him to swallow and then kissed him again.

  He pulled her clos
er, and let her keep kissing his lips until she finally nudged his mouth open. “Mmm,” she said. She dropped her purse and ran her hands over his hair. She pulled back. “I swear, I feel half-buzzed and I haven’t even had alcohol today.”

He pushed the hair out of her face. “That’s how I always feel when I’m around you.”

She kissed him again, this time hungrily and full of passion he was afraid he wouldn’t be able to stop if they kept up at that speed. “Fuck, Maya. Let’s get home.”

She smiled. “Did you lock that front door behind you?”

  “It locks automatically.”

She glanced around at the ceiling. “Are there cameras in here?”

He liked where this was going. “Not in here. Just ones aimed at the doors in the front room.”

She lifted his shirt and found his fly. “I dreamed I did this to you last night.” She dropped to her knees, and tugged down his pants just far enough to release him. It took about two seconds for him to get rock-hard. His chest filled with a flood of heat as she made him forget anything in the world existed except her sweet mouth around him. He rested his hands on her shoulders as she squeezed him tightly, making him lose his mind with the sensations she was giving him.

“Maya, you’ve got to stop,” he said through heavy breaths. “I don’t want to…”

She didn’t stop though, she just worked harder, her tongue doing things to him that sent his body to the sun and back in the best way fucking possible. He squeezed her shoulders as he let himself go. “Goddammit,” he said, catching his breath.

She stood and stepped away from him, holding the back of her hand to her mouth with a sneaky smile as he zipped himself up. “Come on,” she said. “Let’s go back to your house.”

“You’ve got to try it with the butter,” Bo said, offering Maya a piece of popcorn saturated in the stuff.

She rested the back of her head on his shoulder, holding up her own piece. “I’ve got my own, and it’s very good without butter.”

He reached into her bowl and took a piece. “Ah, that’s so dry. How are you not choking on that?”

“Shh, we’re missing the movie.” She grinned, not even knowing what the heck they were watching. She wiggled a little, settling into her spot in front of him. His sectional had a chaise lounge on the corner that couldn’t have been more perfect for snuggling. She sat between his legs and could still stretch her long legs out in front of her. She could so get used to this, but she needed desperately not to. His hand snuck around her, holding a piece of buttered popcorn.

“If I eat that, will you quit bugging me about it?”

  “Deal,” he said.

She opened her mouth and he put it in, but not without her biting at his hand.

“Oh, you’re getting it for that.”

He tickled her sides, and she squealed like a little girl. She hadn’t squealed since she was ten. “Okay, I give up.”

  “Damn, you’re easy.”

She wiggled into his cock. “You haven’t been complaining about that this week.”

He reached around for a kiss, and she gave him one. As soon as it started to get intense, she stopped. He was due for a little teasing. “The movie? Do you mind?”

“All right,” he said, pulling her back to rest against his chest again. “So, what motivates you to be so disciplined with your eating? I can’t do it all the time like that.”

She inwardly winced, thinking about her overbearing mother. “Honestly, it’s just easier for me when I keep everything in order.” Jake wagged his tail from the other end of the couch, and she was glad for the distraction. “Do you want some attention, Jake?” she asked, and he wagged harder, crawling toward her on his belly.

“Don’t encourage that mutt,” Bo said. “You get him over here, and we’ll never get rid of him.”

“Come here, boy,” Maya said, patting her leg. “Come here. Isn’t that a handsome boy.”

Jake’s long tail thumped against the couch as he crawled some more and got within petting distance.

“That’s it,” Bo said. “You pet him behind his ears, and we’ll never be alone again.”

Jake whined and laid his head on her leg. “He’s so sweet, and he doesn’t stink. Big dogs usually stink.”

“The guy who comes and lets him out when I’m gone gives him a bath. He usually stinks.”

“Mmm,” she said, stroking Jake’s fur. She couldn’t imagine a place in the world she’d rather be at that point in time.

“You had fun last night with Sebastian and them?” Bo asked.

  “Oh, yeah.”

  “Uh oh,” he said.

She grinned. “Nothing you wouldn’t approve of.”

  “Mmm hmm. I bet.”

Maya had never been in a relationship that included jealousy on either part. The sorts of guys she dated weren’t exactly the type that had other women lining up to steal them, and, in turn, her partners didn’t seem to fear anyone romancing her away from them. She always considered that healthy and normal.

With Bo’s looks and the way women responded to him everywhere they went, Maya suspected jealousy had played a part in Bo’s past relationships, possibly on both parts if he dated women who were used to getting plenty of attention from men. She imagined these comments at their core were designed to make her feel desired. She appreciated it, but she didn’t need it, especially since while sweet on his part, she wasn’t sure if they were authentic.

“You don’t have to do that, you know,” she said.

  “Do what?”

  “Act like you’re jealous.”

  “I’m not acting,” he said.

She turned her head so she could see him looking all innocent. She shook her head and turned back around, focusing her attention on Jake. “So how many girls have you taken to those botanical gardens?”

  “Including you?” he asked.

“Mmm hmm,” she muttered, gritting her teeth.

“Oh, I don’t know. I lost count around three hundred and eighty.” She elbowed him in the ribs, just barely. “Well, it’s not like you’d believe me if I told you the truth.”

She looked him in the eye. “Of course I’d believe you.”

“Really?” he asked, lifting his eyebrows. God, his eyes were so deliciously dark. She kissed his perfectly dreamy lips in response. He nudged her waist. “Just one.”

Her default was not to believe men as beautiful and desired as Bo. Her main experience with guys like this were the ones who Meade hooked up with. They couldn’t be trusted further than Maya could toss them out of Meade’s life. One was as useless as the next, draining Meade of her money, her emotional energy, and her self-esteem. One appropriately named Chaz had even cornered Maya in a bathroom and tried to kiss her with Meade in the kitchen making his dinner.

But Maya wanted to believe that Bo wasn’t bullshitting her. Could it be true, that he’d been sitting on such a gorgeous place that literally had brought her to her knees in front of him, just waiting for the right woman to bring there, and that she had been that exact perfect woman? Could she let herself believe it, even if just for the rest of this dreamy week?

“Why haven’t you brought anyone there before?”

He shrugged. “I don’t know. That place is special to me. I know it’s not mine, but when I’m there alone, it can feel like it. The sound of the water flowing in the stream, the natural smell of all those flowers, the ridiculous amount of beauty condensed in that one place. I didn’t want to make that place about some girl who I didn’t really care about.”

She stared at him, her heart so swollen it pained her. She grinned. “You care about me?”

“I thought that was obvious.” He moved the bowl of popcorn from her lap and set it on top of his bowl on the end table. He took her hand. “I wanted to take you there, so when I go back it’ll always make me think of you. And I know that’s depressing because at some point I’m going to have to try to stop thinking of you, but you’re special to me, just like that pla
ce is. You make me feel good like that place does.”

A sensation rained down over her body like she’d never felt before. It was too early to be in love. It couldn’t be that. She’d only known him a handful of days. But she’d never experienced these feelings before, not with Al or David or any other meaningless relationship from her past that was entered into with the expectation of security and safety, discarding lust or passion or anything resembling what she felt looking into Bo’s eyes right now.

She searched his gaze. “You make it so hard to distrust you.”

  He huffed a laugh. “Good.”

His lips met hers, and there would be no more teasing tonight, not on her part. She turned around and melted into his chest, her hands feeling their way up his strong arms.

He pulled away. “Hang on.” He nodded at the end table. “There’s a rawhide bone in that drawer. She pulled it out and showed it to Bo. “Toss it onto his bed over there.” She did, and Jake shot across the room and settled in with it.

“How long do we have till he finishes?”

“As long as we need. There’s more where that came from.”

He stood up off the couch with her attached to him and she wrapped her legs behind him. She was thin, but she was a tall girl. She couldn’t be light, but he didn’t seem to flinch. She’d never dated a man who could pick her up. She let the idea of his strength sink in and heat up her core like a lightning bolt.

He tossed her onto the bed then straddled her, pressing his lips against hers hard and opening her mouth, winding her tongue into his. She wrapped her legs around him and pulled him down on top of her. His weight lay heavy on her, and she drank in every ounce of it.

Sitting up, he ripped his shirt over his head, tossing it aside. She sat up as well and did the same, pulling her bra over her head at the same time. He moved his hand down to her pants, unbuttoned and tugged at them. She helped him, wriggling out of them. He sat up off of her and pulled them all the way off, tossing them on the floor, adding his own pants to the pile.

He climbed back on top of her, kissing her mouth again, hands all over, just like the name of the song they’d heard that night in his truck that would always remind her of him when she heard it. He moved to her neck, leaving trails of his tongue everywhere he went and waves of passion-filled emotion through her chest. He moved down between her breasts, and then farther down her body, kissing her flattened belly. He moved down some more.
